We are the only Emergency Department open 24 hours a day within a 6-mile radius, and serve the communities of South El Monte, El Monte, Arcadia, Baldwin Park, and West Puente Valley. Negative experience: The receptionist and HR are extremely unprofessional and rude. They do not let you finish your statement before transferring you over and sending you to speak to the wrong person because theyre stressed. Terrible customer service and needs to be fixed.

Negative experience: I took my husband for urgent colonoscopy procedure as ordered by his primary care which was scheduled in the morning next day. By afternoon I called to find out if he was done so I could go and see him for discharge. Person on the other line suggested that I call after 15 min bec the nurse was not available. I called after that and somebody slammed the phone and kept on slamming as it continued to ring so I hanged up and drove to the hospital. Also my husband’s meds that he brought with him which the nurse kept in hospital possession couldn’t be found because some medical staff mistakenly labeled the bag of meds under another patient’s name. Took 2 hours to discover that it was his. I think this hospital needs more training on staff. We’ll never want to go back there .
Negative experience: No patient care takes place here. It's more like do the minimum and street them. My son was in the area for work. Was assaulted and I had to call down several times to speak to them they were planning to discharge him eyes swollen shut, no results back from radiology no ultra sound done even though he had a hard time breathing and the area that was causing that was the pain in kidney and liver area. Kidney blunt trauma can cause delayed bleeding, kidney failure and more. Horrible hospital and if this is how they treat someone brought in via ambulance imagine how they treat those who didn't come in by ambulance.

Fantastic experience: I hate to say it but I'm a frequent flyer here. Nothing to be proud of but I always get scolded as to why this hospital. Truth is from my experience here I always get treated very well and the staff here is very attentive. My main care nurses are the Vanessa's J and M without giving too much information the level of care and professionalism was immaculate down to earth and responsive. Their ability to socialize also help make one feel more comfortable with their care I was also cared for by Justin timberlake aka the ladies man too hes a cool funny person. Lynn and Daniel as well were all on point as well no shortage of credit. The doctor understood my needs and ensure I received everything i required. and the front office staff are phenomenal. The gist of it all is I'm grateful for the care they give they're very detailed oriented and answer all my questions no matter how much I ask what something is they describe it it's purposes and such. I will continue to come here for my primary emergency care. Thank you all. And also I do see the negative reviews but you have to remember treat them how you'd like to be treated I was in excruciating pain but respect is always shown.

Negative experience: This hospital seem to treat Hispanic patients better in some odd reason. The hospital isn't the worst I have seen. Nurses aren't so great. Some of the doctors do have attitude, so be expect that. I have a doctor full blown on me with attitude yell at me in the hospital. Never appreciate that and the professionalism. Somehow, I don't know channel to express my concern.
Negative experience: I do not recommend going to this place. My sister had gone once took VERY long to go inside. My sister has dehydration, diarrhea, vomiting. And the nurses had told my sister that she was just fine. We checked the insurance bill it was 1,457 dollars or more can’t remember for just Tylenol.
Negative experience: 我说我重金属中毒,医生判断说我是病毒感染哈哈!我28号晚上11点左右喝了有毒的水,然后就迅速的不舒服,家里面有治发烧和拉肚子的药,我吃了。第二天早上嗓子疼痛发烧脸发红,白天持续表现反胃和发烧以及嗓子痛,我白天也吃药了。我是第一经历感受的人 ,医生不相信我说的话,只是表象判断不做任何的检测,然后说我病毒感染。我中毒啊,那你医生是不是不作为变相的帮凶!

Negative experience: The paramedics take my daughter to ER at this place she arrived at 9:30 am and still waiting for bed it’s already 11:30 pm 14 hours and still waiting for bed they said they have rooms and bed but not nurses , my daughter have diarrhea they just cleaning her in the hall day twice but I have to ask to please cleaning I told them she have two wounds ( open skin) in her buttock and she needs to take care to avoid any infection since she have open skin and diarrhea can cause infection , nurse said have to ask for permission to cleaning that area ( wounds) so I have to tell them to provide me all what she needs to be clean and change dressing of wounds I will doing because I was so worried about infection then they come and say they will doing, at 11:45 finally have a bed since 9:30 am.. I’m not recommending this place at all

Negative experience: They took us but they did not give good service, their communication was vague, and they did not explain anything, rather they wrote it down. The wait time was not too bad, but given the service I would rather wait for something better.
Negative experience: Really bad and unprofessional care towards patients and visitors I witnessed the nurses raising there voices and rudly joking while people were in pain and need of care very short tempered and disrespectful.lack of proper care towards patients shame on all doctors and greater hospitals for their poor service.learn from better hospitals like Garfield medical center or LA county.❤️
Fantastic experience: Came to ER, the front desk workers Alexandra Navarro and Norma were extremely helpful and kind. All the employees were very sweet and answering all questions I had, especially nurse Sam from triage. The doctor was very thorough and was joking with me to make me feel better.
Negative experience: Worst hospital ever. Staff here are extremely rude unprofessional, don’t care about one’s safety here leaving a patient bleed everywhere and doing nothing about it while other patients are here someone please shut this place down
Fantastic experience: I was transferred here from White Memorial. From the moment the EMT’s picked me up they were very sweet and accommodating since my boyfriend got there just in time to drop off some goodies before we took off in the ambulance. The nurses were all great Aimee, David, Quen, Anh, Annie I might be getting the last one wrong but they always went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. To all the labotimist that struggled getting blood or an IV going thank you for your patience and good advice! I was so scared to get judged by my scars but really I was treated with respect! Small cozy hospital great big hearts!
Negative experience: I would stay away from Dr. Gutkin. Not giving details for safety but he basically asked for me to be murdered. There's been other times I was in this hospital and heard him talking people out of x-rays, etc. He has no cares for other human beings.

Negative experience: I truly don't know where to start. The care is subpar, they put me in a chair inbetween two curtains and gave me the IV there. I'll skip the talking points and get to where they get one star. I responded to their bills with the copay amount being like forty dollars or something with the personal injury case and my representation. They then proceeded to send me to collections, which is literally illegal as the case is still going on.
Negative experience: Last night was my 2nd time there. I went in with asthma & A bad cough / wheezing that's been affecting a hernia by my C-section. I just wanted to be able to breathe. They discharged me 2 hrs. later after giving 2 breathing treatments and saturation levels between 80%-85%. The Nurse suggested I go pick up the new inhaler the doctor has prescribed or go to a different ER. At this moment looking for another ER. Disappointed I just moved to El Monte

Fantastic experience: Don't understand the negative reviews. I've visited hospital ERs all across the nation from NY to LA including some of the best. This is a small hospital with limited resources and while I can't speak about the hospital proper I did spend time in the ER. The staff couldn't be more impressive, amazingly motived and caring, highly professional, knowledgeable and skilled.

Positive experience: The nurses and staff in the ER don't take care of you and they leave you waiting for hours before they issue your hospital room. They need to be more compassionate toward emergency patients especially when they cannot breathe. Negative experience: Literally cannot move well at told the doctor I have fallen several times and I need to be somewhere to be watched because I am not safe to be on my own. He says not his problem you need to speak to social worker they are not here on the weekend come back Monday. When I told due to mobility I spent the last month unable to get out of bed and I have thoughts of hurting myself he said that not his problem if you want help you should go to county. When it was 911 that brought me here because I could not stand from where I had been sitting . Just hear the doctor say it is not his problem what a joke. This place is worthy of its lousy reviews. This wonderful disservice to the medical profession is dr. Tang.

Negative experience: Es triste pero muy cierto como es posible que "HOSPITAL" dónde aseptan Emergencia No tengan todo el equipo. Ni el personal. Tube llegué en hambulancia a emergencias y me tube que ir por mi propio medios a otro hospital porqué ellos decían que No tenían al doctor especializado en mi casó un caso (bacio. ) Y que tendría que esperar muchas horas así que 100%No te lo recomiendo nunca vallan allí .por emergencias no digo que no sen competentes. Solo que como ellos dicen el hospital es chico y no tiene todo . Esto es mi experiencia persona con este hospital. El Monte es una hermosa ciudad y debería tener el Mejor HOSPITAL Triste mentes No lo es.

Negative experience: My husband went in for a dog bite on his face. It was bad. Bit by a pit bull. Doctor was young and nice. But when my husband was on the bed ready to get his stitches he started bleeding again. Doctor was not around nor our nurse. So I said my husband is bleeding again. And one nurse had the nerve to tell me Im not his nurse!! All I wanted was some gauze for him. I was furious. This other nurse has no compassion. Nurses are supposed to help patients even if the patient is not theirs all I wanted was some gauze. I will not recommend this hospital to anyone. After I heard not to positive things about this place. .

Negative experience: When I told the nurse that I had difficulty breathing, chest tightness, feeling stuffy and uncomfortable, the nurse’s solution was to blow a powerful electric fan on my face in addition to giving me oxygen nasal catheters. I have a terrible headache! After the nasal cannula was inserted, I felt even more uncomfortable and even felt unable to breathe. I responded to this problem from 12:00 in the morning until now at 06:45 in the morning, and she still only let me insert the nasal cannula and wait for the doctor to go to work! When I entered the hospital the day before yesterday, none of these things happened at all, and I stayed for one night. I felt better at first, but something happened in the early morning that made me so dumbfounded! It is not the first time I live in ICU, but I have never had such a reaction and feeling. Maybe this hospital is not suitable for me at all. I should not choose the nearest hospital for convenience. It is my own fault

Negative experience: The only reason I give them an extra star is because of nurse Don and the dispatch clerk. Other than that you won’t get acknowledged by anyone else. The doctor that briefly told us he was waiting for my mom’s test results never returned so I still have no clue what happened the day she was taken there. I had to go to her main clinic to sign release forms for this hospital so we’ll find out eventually. I completely post visit survey that was emailed to me so they’ll have more details on my experience. I’m sorry to say but I don’t recommend this place.

Negative experience: My grandpa is currently hospitalized in this so called hospital… I’ve been in constant communication with the staff regarding his status and they told me that he was doing fine. They told me that he could not have a room phone, so there was no way for me to communicate with him so I decided to drop off a cell phone. However when I visited my grandpa to drop off the phone he told me that he fell and it took the staff more than 15 mins to help him. The nurse (Gea) never reported that to me when I called. I also found out that he had not eaten since lunch time and it was 8pm when I was there. He was starving. The RN (Dyandra) assigned to him was standing next to me and told me that it happened on the previous shift and that she was sorry. I just don’t feel this hospital is competent and safe at all. I’m currently working on transferring my grandpa to another hospital. Please don’t take your loved ones there.

Negative experience: The worst hospital ever stay away from this place there was only one nurse in the ICU that knew what she was doing name Kayla other than that everyone else seemed like they barely came out of school or where doing hours and the Drs don’t even diagnose you correctly they don’t even know what you have and are just guessing. Fantastic experience: Gave birth here recently and couldn't have had a better experience. The nurses and workers in the maternity ward are super friendly and show they care. I was always taken care of, as was my baby, and got cute little souvenirs. Great labor and delivery & postpartum area.

Fantastic experience: The people in Greater El Monte Community Hospital are friendly and professional. This is not a monster hospital. The staff knows the doctors and also the patient's operation. The charge nurse Julie attended to my needs directly and was visible and available during my stay. My thanks to her and to Patty, Carol, Emma, Jun, the operating room people, and all the staff who made this hospital visit so pleasant. The hospital also monitors noise levels and honors quiet time.
Fantastic experience: The best ER I have ever went to In my whole entire life. I love this hospital. There is no wait about 5-10 and you in and out with a wonderful nice and fast staff, that really care about you and then off to pharmacy.

Negative experience: Since I can’t give this a zero star, here’s my review, I just called to ask if my missing person was brought in and every woman that answer the phone was rude and uneducated. They are dismissive before you can speak and ask. I 100% know how it is working in the medical field so for these woman to respond they way they did is very poor and a reflection of the hospital!! Hire people that want to work and help others, not just collect a check!

I called about my dad cause he recently had a heart attack and when my brother called they hung up 3 times because they couldn't verify that he was his son. Then my mom called and they said the same thing this is honestly the worst hospital by far.

Negative experience: Got a bill for more than 3k for a visit to the ER, for a urine test that I never got the results from and some pills. The doctor without letting me finish telling my symptoms he was already making the dumbest assumptions just so that I could leave fast. Horrible service.

Negative experience: I would give this hospital -100 stars if i could. This is the worst hospital. My mom was in the ER from 8am till 4pm and they didn't feed her until 3pm after i called @ 2pm & told them to feed her. She is 86 years old with diabetes & dementia

Negative experience: Since I can’t give it a 0 star rating I’m just going to leave it at 1. They treat my mom so bad, they didn’t let her use the restroom or let her shower or let her was her hands… they left her for 3 days like this in the covid side of the hospital and she had already tested negative for that and to make matters worse they wouldn’t help her when she would ask for it!!! I don’t recommend this hospital to anyone, not even my worst enemy!

Negative experience: Unwelcoming facility staff's combined with the rudest and very unprofessional people they have handling their Billings. PLEASE, PLEASE go elsewhere . To the fire dept or other nearest hospital and safe yourself from unnecessary stress. Soooo...I received an email from this facility asking me to contact the facility to further discuss. Please STOP contacting me. As previously mentioned, I DO NOT need any more unnecessary stress. No one there I spoke gave a Sh....t. I spoke with THREE different people. So please leave me alone.

Negative experience: I wouldn't give this Hospital a star but no choice I brought my daughter today 1/18/2022 & I just left this hospital very disappointed doctor nurses and front desk lady's All RUDE don't even let u speak. They walk away when your talking. They don't even attend you right I was on the emergency side the had us in a tent floor was all wet and dirty they had people with COVID in the same room with people that didn't have it my daughter is just a baby image how I felt when I found that out no I wouldn't ever come here again sorry but no. It seemed that they just wanted to clock out of work and it wasn't even overwhelm with patients.

Negative experience: Reception wast wonderful ❤️ the doctor wast very good and professional but the NR she thinks she now more than anyone else she gives my pain medication she said the medication was very good, but after a hour the pain back again went I ask again for pain medication she ignored me and send me to ask to a another nurse. Tha other nurse was so good she immediately called the doctor to give me some medications. One person can put up or down a place. My experience wasn't not too bad at the and. They reduced my pain to 50% thank you.

Fantastic experience: Love the rn nurse Kelly made me change my mind this is my favorite hospital they should have more people like her she very nice and professional not like that male nurse that is very rude .
Fantastic experience: I came here around 5am a few days ago because my feet was swollen, painful, and itchy when I got stung by something on the beach form the day before and it just got worst. I filled out paperwork and was taken to the doctor right after. The doctor had a look at my feet and explained to me on what I should do and prescribed me some pills. It’s been a few days since then and my feet has definitely feel a lot better and I can finally walk without pain now. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in.... Every SINGLE member of staff treated me like I was home. To "Cris" apologizing after every morphine shot, to the radiologist tech making sure my testicles were safe! To even the staff cleaning up the mess I made after I passed out and DROPPED everything on the floor.... "Two blood vessels fell in love but alas, it was all in vein"

Fantastic experience: I was sent here to be treated for CoVid. The nurses and staff all made me feel reassured and safe. When I was in the subacute unit to recover, the day and night staff (the nurses, CNAs, respiratory therapists, etc.) were so encouraging and supportive (literally and figuratively). I'm so greatful to the healthcare workers who helped save my life and helped me rebuild it.

Fantastic experience: My dad was here for about 3 weeks before getting transferred to another hospital. All the nurses here are great! I felt like all my questions were answered and everyone was beyond helpful . Christina in the ICU is a sweetheart and Katy as well . Thank-you to everyone who helped my father . Fantastic experience: My child's hand was bitten by a squirrel. I came here to ask the doctor to see if I need an injection. The nurses and doctors here are friendly and patient. We found a Chinese translation for us, and in the end, because the wound was shallow, we didn't do any treatment, and we didn't charge us any fees. I really appreciate them so much, they are kind and caring people.

Negative experience: I arrived with my daughter, with a swollen wound and with fat coming out, and she did not want to pass me, she said that she looked very superficial, the bleeding was little but it did not stop, and she looked from a distance, they did not even want to register her

Negative experience: I wish I could give this hospital no stars the worse experience treated my mom for one thing and she passed away because they miss diagnosed her for what she really should have been treated for the nurses don't know how to do anything and the doctors are never there such a useless hospital please avoid they neglect the patience and take them serious until they are dying.

Negative experience: My daughter was brought to this hospital by ambulance with chest pain. When i can to pick her up and seen her being attacked by the security guard. He grabbed her from behind and was shaking her over a picture she was trying to take of him from kicking her out just because she had heart/chest problems along with her PTSD. The police was called. Actually i would give this hospital a -0 . Will never ever come back to this hospital .

Negative experience: I was there in October 2020. I had the most horrifying experience ever! This experience has left me traumatized, all the while pleading for mercy 3 hours long. Then I was bound to the gurney, stabbed with a syringe, and laughed and taunted by the nursing staff. I would like to speak with the Patient's Advocate, but I am not being provided with contact information to do so. Perhaps this post will assist me.

Fantastic experience: Honestly I have to say my mom was pregnant and her baby here and sadly she has a very sad experience, nurses were not so nice to her but I came in due to emergency and omg they were really nice I had to get an ultrasound done today and Liliana Avila was just the most sweetest the doctors were soo great to me! Checked me in in less then 5 mins I was already inside and getting blood drawn. I am so happy to see the hospital change :) your hospitality was beyond great, thank you so much for your services !

En fin no entre para que la revisaran tuve que ir a una clínica particular y resulta que ella tenía infección en el estómago ( no recomiendo ese hospital )

Negative experience: Horrible experience nurses don't care let you in pain for hours bathroom's floor wet
Negative experience: I was about to go in with gun and shoot one of the staff in the knee cap for disrespecting my mom and having her go multiple times all she wanted was the results of a covid test of her brother they had her go 6 times and my mom could bearly walk for 5 minutes due to here age at 78. My mom called me angry and told me basically how they were just having her go for nothing. I called talked to one of the staff they hung up called again and boom they faxed it unless then 10 minutes. So my uncle could go to work .
Negative experience: I was taken my ambulance to this hospital since all other hospitals in my area were closed to emergencies. I was horrified to see not only how small the hospital was but the over all appearances. It was dark, dingy and looked filthy. I would want my dogs to go there for an emergency. The medical care was no better. A few hours after arriving for pain I had not been given anything for the pain. Two days later they sent a bill to Kaiser for payment but did not share any of the lab results. Next time given that choice I will stay home and ride out the chest pains!
