Negative experience: I HEAR THAT THIS NURSING HOME IS NOT LIVING UP TO THE STANDARDS, OF HOW A: REHABILITATION AND A NURSING HOME RUNNED PROFESSIONALLY IN LINCOLNSHIRE, ILLINOIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIRST OF ALL, YOU DO NOT HIRE ILLEGALLY ALLIENS OUT-SIDE OF UNITED STATES FROM; FROM INDONESIA, INDIA, AND JAMAICAN PEOPLE BECAUSE: THEY ARE UNEDUCATED, UN-HEALTHY, AND MOST OF ALL, THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT OLDER SENIORS WITH RESPECT, MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY!!!!!!! THE STAFF AT RIVERSIDE, SHOULD BE FIRED, BECAUSE, THEY ARE UNEDUCATED, NO EXPERIENCES, AND NO RESPECT!!!!!! THEY SHOULD HIRE: COMPETENT EDUCATED STAFF, DIGNITY, ALL AMERICAN MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AND MOST OF ALL, LOVE OF HUMANITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD NEVER AND HATE TO BRING A FAMILY MEMBER TO, RIVERSIDE, NURSING HOME, THAT NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION AND CARE WITH RESPECT BECAUSE OF: MISS TREATMENT OF HEALTH-CARE, NOT CAREING, AND THE WORKERS ARE VERY, VERY, BAD OF HANDLING PATIENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their client's comfort is very obviously the staff's top priority and they leave no stone unturned when it comes to their resident’s enjoyment and best care options. No other home I researched match their quality services. Whether you are looking for a temporary rehabilitation center or a permanent home that provides long-term care, Your loved one will be in good hands here, where they truly understand that a caring smile matters.

Positive experience: Has some bad reviews but is really great! Dont believe everything you read.

Negative experience: Do not bathe the patients regularly, poor quality of care. They move patients from their room to the dining room where they sit all day. They do not have patients wash their hands, feces under the nails of my loved one WHILE THEY WERE EATING. No thanks. Go somewhere else.

Negative experience: You have to be kidding me........ People will not stand a chance. People smoking at the door not even 10 ft from it. The place is extremely dirty out dated. People rolling around on wheel chairs. One elevator working. The other one works but so small only to hold one Peron or two. A long line of residents waiting their turn to use the elevator. Dry food on their dinning room. Some employees look like they just walked out of a bar and some look half dead themselves. Yeah what joke. I hope the owners of this place really take priority and do something and not be slum lords. Oh by the way NO SAFETY EQUIPMENT AROUND. NOTHING AT ALL. As I walked out even a fire extinguisher missing. That place doesn't even hold a candle to a dog pound. Don't believe me......Go take a visit. Not even the star I put up as a rating. No stars at all!!!!! Beware its not a place to send a loved one. I'm sure those positive rates are the owners or someone they paid to do it.

Negative experience: I have been in a lot of nursing homes/rehab centers but by far this was the most disgusting place I have ever been in. I would give them a zero if I could. Run, run, run away from this place. Never put a loved one there.

Negative experience: The fact that this facility hasn't been shut down is a disgrace by the state of Illinois. Everything the previous poster said is 100% dead on. Maplewood has more than one current lawsuit brought on by the family of a rape victim, raped by a felon who was around 20 years old. Maplewood knew he was a felon & let him back after he left one time and an elderly woman was violently raped, this is a fact just google it. Many of the residents are basically homeless alcoholics who have public aid therefore they are welcomed in & encouraged how to to get social security benefits just so Maplewood can get the lump sum paid out to most people who get disability. They violate CMS regulations regularly, the facility is smelly, filthy, & a modern day version of the horrible insane asylums you heard about from a time long ago. There are residents who hoard their pain killers, no monitoring, and awful food. If you have any soul don't let your worst enemy go to Maple"hood".
