Fantastic experience: Elmora Hills is without a doubt the best facility. From the warm welcoming receptionist, to the kind Admissions Director Tamara and assistant Shaunequa, this is the facility to go with. The nursing staff are wonderful, kind and respectful which stands out compared to many other facilities I have visited. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: My visit to Elmora was amazing as the administrator Mr Goldberg went out of his way to make sure the care is tip top shape he is in the building going from room to room all day and makes sure all the residents are happy and their needs are met. The building is spotless

Fantastic experience: My Dad was admitted there last month from the hospital. When we arrived we were greeted by a wonderful staff. In the beginning Dad was not able to walk at all after lying in a hospital bed for a while. The rehab team especially the Director did an outstanding job in getting Dad to walk on his feet again. The Nurse on the unit was involved in every aspect from the admission all the way through every Discharged detail. A big thanks to Yehuda for always going out of his way to make Dad feel like his home.

Negative experience: A la verdad estoy decepcionada con este lugar es horrible el trato desde la social y un mal servicio se creen que los pasientes son animales le dirán la comida en la mesa a mi mamá como si yo no tengo ojos para ver y ella sentada en la silla de rueda .si yo no estoy ella no come .y lo voy a reportar todo al departamento de senior services.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I have to give at least 1 star to write a review, but truthfully it does NOT deserve any stars whatsoever. Food is horrible, service is an embarrassment and not to mention the gentleman working at the front desk makes you feel like you are bothering him and looks annoyed, not to mention how it smells like weed when you walk in. People pay money to get a well service and you get the opposite at this facility. The rooms are nasty and not cleaned for days (no mopping, leave garbage on the floor, no changing of garbage bags, bathrooms in the room not cleaned for days). You don't get a friendly vibe from anyone there including the nurses, they do not look like they care for any of the patients there ( they are there just to collect a paycheck). The rooms are so depressing , they are dark and lonely, no life at all which it makes one feel unalive. Someone needs to do a surprise check at this facility undercover to see how horrible this place is. The management/owners need to do better and care for those that are unable to care for themselves, today it's them tomorrow it could be you.

Fantastic experience: I have been here for a good month and I can say it has been a most pleasant stay. The staff has been a joy to work with as well as the physical therapists.

Fantastic experience: I came to Elmora Hills Healthcare for rehab. The experience was fantastic and they got me back on my feet! The nurses and therapists were wonderful. I especially enjoyed the recreation and the variety of activities and entertainment offered. Jodie Lochak and her department kept me having fun every day! I highly recommend Elmora Hills Healthcare.

Negative experience: La instalaciones siempre están sucias, la ropa de cama la cambian cuando les da la gana. Muchas veces las sabanas están orinadas y así mismo se la dejan al paciente. Las asistentes de pacientes, se pasan el tiempo hablando por el celular y no atienden al llamado de los pacientes necesitados. No me queda otra alternativa que quejarme en el departamento de sanidad de la alcaldía y hacer un carta a Osha.gov. La comida de los pacientes es horrible

Negative experience: This is the worst place to have a family, poor care, the nurses are nasty, if tell anyone there that you need help they gets upset, I went to the first floor, it is dirty everywhere, stay away from this place and do not send the family there

Negative experience: El Mora Rehabilitation Center as a prime NJ center for seniors has the most incompetent switch operators in the entire seniors centers industry, as you call from out of state the place your call in hold or transfer the call no non monitored phone, always leave a message, this is for any of the sections listed on this establishment regardless at what time you call.

Negative experience: My aunt was there and when she got there her 1st day I went to visit her I ask did she.eat she ate nothing all morning/lunch and I fed her dinner they also lost her dentures and the call light was broke for half of the day… Food look and was nasty

Not only is it an encouraging, positive workplace, but the care I see given to each and every Resident, long and short term, is unparalleled and second to none. We have weathered the most challenging of times, during this ongoing pandemic, with grace. The dedicated relationship between staff and Residents is as close to “family” as you can get!! Fantastic experience: I was at this facility almost 3 years ago I couldn’t walk or anything and the time I spent there I learned how to walk and even wash myself something I couldn’t do the nurses there are the best even the physical therapist are the best to I was helped so much can’t thank them enough

Negative experience: My grandma was send in feb for a stroke she had feb 14 and in there was bad all the employees were rude they abuse all the elderly people I have a picture were they hurt my grandma would leave her 8 hours in the wheelchair they wouldn’t even care and here is a picture of where they hurt my grandma and my mom should’ve done a lawsuit

Negative experience: Awful service, and they are abusive twards the elderly. My great grandmother has been abused and punched repeatedly. They don't do their jobs and allow the rooms to become pig sty. No body should ever consider this place for their loved ones.

Negative experience: This establishment has gone from perhaps an 85 to 90 to a 40 percent rating! 3 times my loved one was in this facility and the last time was terrible! The therapist are not attentive enough caring enough nor willing to help you unless they are threatened to report them to Medicare which I fully intend to do!!!!! Some staff are rude loud abusive in the way they talk and unprofessional in their outward appearance! The social worker was a pushy uncaring person did everything to get my loved one out before she was ready! Administration is awful also asked to have him submit to secondary insurance which he replied I try again but never tried the first time because they did not have her secondary insurance on file! Do yourself a favor if you really love someone find another rehab!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: My dad was recently an inpatient at the rehab and I cannot express how incredible his experience was. The nursing staff, rehab, admin- every staff member was so loving and warm. He arrived not ambulatory and by the time he left he was able to walk, go up and down stairs and return home and back to work. I highly recommend them.

Positive experience: First floor staff are very kind and accommodating. Facility is extremely clean. The PT staff are tough but effective. I do not reccomend the food. It is neither pleasing to the palate or the eye.

Negative experience: This place is the worst, the only thing they did was a face lifted inside the place. With the money the patients pay that’s not a big deal. I know people that got hurt there and they didn’t do anything about it. We have called the state before but they came and did nothing. Mr. Drew was the best , this new guy don’t give a Daxx what happens to the patients. No matter how they get hurt , he does nothing. When the patients get hurt, the doctors come when they get ready most of the time, it’s not the same day; and they won’t take the patient to the hospital until it’s a last result. It’s hard to move a family member that’s sick because their use to their surroundings. Once you move them out to a different environment half of the time they die. Older people are not good which change, it stresses them out because they have lots of fears. This is not a place I would recommend to anyone. They change aids like they change their underwear. Know one stays here long, just a few. It’s sad to see people not care for others. Money is really the root to all evil . I pray they get someone in there that actually cares about the people their and their families. This once was a better place, but with the new young guys came and was put in charge it’s changed a lot. It wasn’t The greatest, however, it was much better than this. How can God over look this; and man be this cruel. When did People become less important than money. When did we stop being human. I pray for good changes to This place soon... I pray everyone reads this review and help the people their have a better life... God Bless

Positive experience: My mother (77 y/o) suffered a severe hip fracture in December 2017 and is currently a rehab patient here. She has been here about 60 days. She was transferred here a few days following her hip surgery at Trinitas Hospital. After a rather disappointing experience at Trinitas Hospital, I was hopeful her experience at Elmora would be different. Her experience at Elmora Hills has exceeded my expectations and has certainly been a great one. Just for reference, I have 20 years of experience in the healthcare field (hospitals & clinics) in NYC both as a healthcare professional and caregiver. I can attest to the quality of care she has received at this facility. In 60 days, I have seen my mom progress from an anxious patient, barely being able to move from bed to chair with assistance to confidently taking herself to the bathroom and getting out of bed with little assistance. Her orthopedic surgeon originally told me before surgery, he was just hopeful she would be able to just transfer from bed to chair comfortably for the first few months due to the severity of the fracture. She has exceeded his expectations and is now beginning to walk with assistance of a walker and slowly regaining her independence in just 2 months. This is certainly due in part to the care she has received from the staff at Elmora. I am so grateful for the care she has received from everyone including the physical therapists, nurses, and nursing assistants. Some of nursing staff have become like family, as I visit my mom daily to spend time with her. The administrative staff have also been very helpful in navigating insurance issues and any other concerns that have come up. The facility itself is visitor friendly (onsite parking), pleasant front desk staff, clean, and very inviting (well lit, decorations, family seating areas). There are also various fun activities available for the patients to participate in as well. I would highly recommend this facility for rehabilitation. I encourage anyone considering Elmora, to take a tour of the facility that is offered and bring your questions in order to make a fully informed decision before sending your loved one here.
