Negative experience: My grandma was in this spot and she passed away there too. They treated her real bad. When she needed water, they took ages to get it for her because she was older and in a wheelchair. The night she passed away, I went to see her and she was slumped under the dinner table, two hours after dinner. I have no clue how long she was there. Her food was left untouched because nobody helped her. When they were told she needed help, they finally took her back to her room and put her in bed roughly, didn't care if it hurt her.

Fantastic experience: Walnut Creek has always been a great rehabilitation facility. This is the place we chose for our mother to come for the second time to heal from a head surgery she recently had. The staff is very nice,welcoming, and really works with their patients to get back to everyday living. We appreciate everyone who works here ❤️ Thank you for taking care of our mom!!

Negative experience: Worse experience of my life, just left in room unattended, 5 days of hell, just given drugs and food, no shower and never diagnosed my problem, which was a broken neck.....Had sister come and get me, I could not take the pain anymore....

Negative experience: Very hit and miss staff. Some are good some not at all. Even seen staff sleeping on the job while patients needed assistance.

Fantastic experience: I was a first time visitor to the Walnut Creek facility. The check-in procedure was efficient, the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. She showed me how to get to my friend’s room. Along the way another staff member was helpful. There was a member of the cleaning staff outside my friend’s room. She cautioned me about the wet floor she had just cleaned and was concerned for my safety. The facility itself is beautiful, but it was the warm, kind, friendly staff that impressed me most.

Negative experience: Unfortunately my mom n law was forced to live her last years in that place. Some of the nurses were wonderful others couldn't care less. Many times we found my mom n law soaked in her own urine with the light on letting staff know she needed help. It amazes me how this place is still open. Wish there was an option for zero star.

Fantastic experience: Went to visit a dear friend in rehab for a bit and was surprised by the elegance of the entry and few halls I walked through. But I have to say, the thing that most impressed me was the fact that one of her care givers painted her nails. They were lovely , and she was so pleased with them.

Fantastic experience: After numerous changes from facility to facility... I truly believe the staff at Zuck location made my mother feel like part of the family. She unfortunately passed last year but I do not feel her last few years could have been any better. Thank you for the love you showed by mother.

Fantastic experience: I haven't seen my mom in almost 2 years and she was moved into WCH during this time. After talking with her and the staff today, I was so happy and relieved she is in a caring environment. She said she is happy and loves all of the attention she gets from the staff and friends in the facility. Keep up the good work and looking forward to my next visit.

Fantastic experience: The front desk agent was very helpful and pleasant. She assisted me with getting signed in. And went above and beyond my expectations. She actually escorted me with reaching my destination to visit my friend who was located in the 3rd neighborhood. When I left the nursing staff gave me directions to the front entrance where I was parked. Again, a different front desk agent was very personable and wished me a good night.

Negative experience: Taking back my previous 5 star review. A good 90% of the nurses couldn’t care any leas about the residents. It’s very easy to tell which ones are just there for a paycheck and which ones actually care about the residents. The establishment itself is pretty nice. But this place is in desperate need of some more caring nurses.

Negative experience: I would like to give a shout out to Valeska (nurse), Jill (nurse), Heather (aide) and DeShawn (aide) for their continuous kindness towards my mom. They are the only good part (besides the therapists) and actually make her time there bearable.

Negative experience: The nursing staff is awful. We get a different answer from each nurse, if we even see one. They do not seem to care at all, they are cold and show no compassion. The aids are great and very friendly, the nursing staff could learn a thing or two from them.

Negative experience: The front desk staff, physical therapists, and activities coordinator were amazing. Please excuse my spelling, but Shera and a couple other aides (one that her sister also worked in laundry and saved my mom's clothing, as well as taught us lifts to get her in/out of bed) were beyond compassionate and caring. However, this facility is extremely understaffed and they expressed they were overwhelmed and wished they had the time to help more. My mother did not receive a shower or clean sheets for over a week until after my father and I voiced our concerns to multiple staff and finally one reported it to upper management. One aide told her she did not have time to help her use the restroom in the middle of the night, to urinate in her depends, and she would change it later. My mother told the nurses and doctor she was experiencing terrible stomach pain the few days before she discharged herself because she couldn't stand to stay there anymore. They told her there was nothing wrong. We brought her home and a couple days later rushed her to the ER where she was septic, required emergency surgery, and passed away the next day. I'm not saying her death was inevitable but please keep a good watch on your loved ones there and if you think they are exaggerating about care or pain take it in to consideration.

Fantastic experience: Very caring nurse and nurse aide helping my Mom today. Although she'd rather be in her old apartment, the care she has been given at Walnut Creek has been very good.

Fantastic experience: We just spent the last couple of days getting my sister settled into Walnut Creek. Everyone there made the experience as positive as possible. The facility was clean and safe and the staff very solicitous. My sister‘s been there for 3 1/2 months and is now going to be a permanent resident. Thank you to the staff and administration at Walnut Creek for making a challenging transition as pleasant as possible.

Negative experience: This is the worst Nursing Home ever in the Erie area. The people who work here are so rude to my dad it’s disgusting. We had him transferred over to Saint Mary’s and he’s liked it better there and is treated a lot better.

Negative experience: I also had to place one star with no option of zero. You walk out of the fancy lobby with air conditon. To hell on earth. No Staff, no care. Laws are being broken. Safety issues. I don't have power of attorney to take my family member out orwould have. I was advised by there staff that the owners don't care about anything, but profit. They are taking patients without adequate staff I was also advised by the facility to report them to the department of health. Which I will be doing. If you have any other option so not take your family member here. This would be include Twinbrook and Bbingtin c'est being the same owners. They should be ashamed of themselvez

Negative experience: Awful. Terrible. Rude and uneducated. I wouldn't put a dead bug in the care of anyone here let alone someone living. NEVER I repeat NEVER send your loved ones to this trash establishment. Unless you want them to be discarded like rubbish. This facility is an absolute disgrace and tarnishes the reputations of places like such.

Negative experience: We had an absolutely awful experience at this facility recently. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! The staff rotates so often, they can't even change their voicemail. They neglect their patients, the rooms are freezing, the phones to reach the patients don't work, the food is always cold, the patients don't get bathed or even get their teeth brushed, and the nurses don't seem to know how to effectively treat the patients. The management team is rude and doesn't get back to you when you call, and they don't even seem to care whether they contact you or not regarding issues with their patients (your loved ones). Absolutely horrible place!!

Negative experience: I had to choose 1 star because 0 stars isn't an option. They don't clean the room on a regular schedule by any means, I've had to clean my mother's room multiple times now. They are rude for the most part, there are a few that are decent but most are just plain rude. Every time we ask for anything we feel like a burden on them. Mom acquired a very bad infection and began having hallucinations after being there a month, and the staff didn't even notice a little. My family had to call an ambulance to get her transported to the local hospital and they asked why she wasn't brought in sooner due to the condition she is in and walnut creek staff NONE of them noticed any of this. I will be searching to get mom in anywhere but this place after the hospital again.

Negative experience: This place. is awful. Not much of anythi g good to say The staff from the bottom up where terrible. No one really cared for in a timely matter. The meals where awful The phiscal therapy was awesome but they work for outside company.

Fantastic experience: My mom needed more care for her COPD and Walnut Creek opened right up for her. She was transported from Hershey Med Center and is continuing to receive wonderful care. I visit daily and the facility is absolutely top notch from my experience. It's elegant design and easy to navigate "neighborhoods. There are birds and fish and trees inside. Cozy kitchenette in each neighborhood with and activities department that is enthusiastic and really go out of their way to include all the residents. So far so good. Thank you so much

Negative experience: The some of the aids are mean and rude to the patients. And they don't cater to dietary needs.

Negative experience: My husband was just transported here last night and so far I am very disappointed in this facility- no one to greet us- no one knew anything about my husbands condition or what he needed. They did not know anything about his medications. When we called the bell because he had to go to the bathroom they just brought in a urinal and left- he can’t use it on his own. Then this morning he called someone and it has been over a half hour and they still haven’t cleaned him up from the accident. Looking for a new facility.

Negative experience: I would give a 0 star rating if I could! I made the mistake of putting my mother in Walnut Creek while she was fighting cancer. I am so glad that she did not suffer and that she was only in this facility for 5 days prior to her passing! 1) the doctor refused to call her oncologist to discuss treatment as to why she was hallucinating 95% of the time . We were told the oncologist had to call their doc!!! When I reported the doctor for this, and the following incidences as well, the administrator called me a liar! 2) communication among the staff was a huge problem because no one knew what the other others were doing. (An example of this is that they lost my mom when she was in transit to Hamot Hospital for an infusion. No one knew why the van hadn't shown up yet or where it was...even after they radioed the driver) 3) they had the state-regulated amount of staff / patient ratio and nothing more which made it difficult to get anything done! It took forever just for them to help her to the bathroom or to get her something to drink! (It took over an hour for a drink once) 4) the remote to her bed with the nurse call button on it had wires sticking out so it needed replaced...it took them three days to do this! (Three days of me complaining because I was afraid she would get hurt.) 5) she needed mats around her bed because she was a fall risk...again, this took several days! I could go on and on but my point here is that you should do the research needed for your loved one to be safe and cared for BEFORE you place them in a facility...save yourself the heartache and headaches by doing so.

Negative experience: My handicapped sister was at Walnut Creek in Erie off and on from Nov. 2017 through Jan. 2018 and I found the communication with anyone at the facility was deplorable. One entire weekend in December no one answered the main line, so we could not contact her floor after her return from Hamot Hospital. My sister's room had been changed so her in-room phone didn't work either. After a wound procedure at Hamot, I tried every possible channel from 10:30 AM until after 4 PM to reach someone who could give me information. It was like every supervisor and staff took off all day Friday. Only main reception was available to direct my unanswered calls.

Negative experience: The nursing staff should be ashamed on how they are treating people so close to thier last days. It’s disgusting. The place is beautiful and the events held their are beautiful. But there needs to be a seroius look at the nursing and care of the elders there. People should be ashamed of themselves. I made a complaint when my grandfather was there, and from the rumors I keep hearing from other people having loved ones there, nothing has been looked into. Disgusting.

Negative experience: A resident of Walnut Creek was sent to my place of employment for an eye exam recently, and I am so disappointed with her treatment. She is very elderly, could not walk and also needed a lot of help to navigate around the office. The Walnut Creek facility did not mention this to us when scheduling her appointment, nor did they send a nurse to help this poor woman. Our office staff did not mind helping her, but we were very disgusted with the fact that she was simply dropped off without a care in the world for her well being. It says a lot about the quality of Walnut Creek.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to comment on the wonderful care I received during a recent stay. The facility is beautiful, and I would like to express my gratitude to the entire staff, especially, the nurses, aides, and physical therapists. They are caring, compassionate, and very professional.
