Fantastic experience: Proactive is a great place to go for therapy. I’m currently having trouble with my knees. They are feeling weak and Lissette and others were very helpful and friendly. To compare to other groups I’ve been through my back, neck and knees therapy, proactive is much superior in customer service and satisfaction. They make sure that your needs regarding required exercises are met. They always have someone assisting you. They never miss asking me if I need heating after exercising and before leaving.

Fantastic experience: Currently seeing Dr. Arianna Martinez after shoulder surgery....amazing, professional, caring and knowledgeable treatment. Very kind and detail oriented with my recovery orders from surgeon. Would highly recommend ProActive and staff to all seeking kind and compassionate treatment.

Negative experience: I had an extremely negative experience with Ariana. She was late and more concerned with her morning coffee than my child's care. I would stay away from her.

The first was recovery from a total knee replacement in 2020, PT for a very stiff neck and now PT for recovery from a reverse shoulder joint surgery in 2023. Every person here seems happy to be there, which makes such a difference in patient morale. I needed OT for a broken elbow and made a ton of progress thanks to structured treatments that increased my range of motion, strength, and flexibility. Fantastic experience: I had to have specialized PT following surgery for a broken wrist and my surgeon sent me to ProActive PT in Rancho Bernardo. I have made amazing progress thanks to Amyn and his team. They are very busy but always find a way to get you scheduled. The entire staff is professional, friendly and funny. Fantastic experience: After I was in a falling accident my doctors sent me to Proactive. I have had surgery on my lower back, my hip, my wrist and my thumb and I have been to at least 80 appointments. All the therapists and support staff are experienced, knowledgeable, patient and most of all, understanding of the patients frustration and situation when being faced with an injury. Proactive gives you the feeling of being at a friends home instead of a medical appointment. I would recommend Proactive to everyone !

It is a friendly, professional, and almost family-like environment. While I have worked exclusively with Mary Pat as the physical therapist, the assistants have been helpful and attentive. I have had an opportunity to observe the other physical and occupational therapists and would have no hesitation to be referred to them.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Katrina for a few weeks. She is very personal and professional. She cared my wounds from surgery and helped me gain range of motion. She massages my elbow every time and adjusts the exercises based on my progress to help with my ROM. She treats every patient with care and dedication to help them recover. ProActive also has the best scheduling and reception services. They remind me on the phone and greet me at the door. Makes me feel welcome and special.

Fantastic experience: ProActive was extremely helpful in healing my wrist tendonitis to 100% functioning in my desired time frame. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and they really understood my concerns and limitations. They treat you for full hour appointments versus other institutions that only treated me for 20-30 minutes at a time. They had a lot of resources and tools that were beneficial for my recovery. I would recommend ProActive for any physical or occupational therapy, especially relating to sports medicine.

Fantastic experience: Came in for knee pain, left a few weeks later with the ablility to play full speed at workouts and the know-how to absolve any possible discomfort. Fantastic experience: I went there for knee and wrist rehabilitation, with separate trainers, Both trainers were excellent and the facility in general is run very smoothly. Had absolutely no issues there but of course, a large part of the recovery depends on following through with the suggested stretches at home.

My Sports Ortho Doctor nudged me, to give ProActive a chance...& I just want to say, this is the 1st time, I have felt truly cared about, individually assessed, given instruction & then watched that I do, each exercise, the right way ~ Biggest take away - I see/feel improvement, nerve pain has subsided & my daily exercises are easily implemented & not shirked off or burdensome. Fantastic experience: I was prescribed three months of PT after surgery at Mayo Clinic for cervical dystonia. I am working with Mary Pat and she is the absolute best. She has taken a lot of time to get to know the specifics of my problems and she has devised a strategy that is helping me recover gradually and progressively. She is fully involved in every stage of my PT sessions and she is a true professional in every way.

Fantastic experience: Proactive therapy deserves more than five stars. I broke my ankle pretty badly. Even my doctor said it probably took longer than normal to recover. I went to Proactive therapy after surgery. Laura and John are amazing person, with their help I was able to walk and do other normal stuff sooner than I expected. All of the stuffs over there will make you feel like you are doing exercises at home also. I am satisfied every treatment over there.

Fantastic experience: There is only one reason I was introduced to ProActive Physical Therapy: Mary Pat Hall. She has been my physical therapist since 1995. Over the last 26 years, she has treated me for a pinched nerve in my neck, tendonitis, carpal tunnel, an arthritic knee, and sciatica. Through her treatments and care plans, I have been able to regain strength, mobility, and confidence. She is simply an amazing physical therapist, and I would follow her wherever she goes. She is now at ProActive Physical Therapy, and I’m happy she is there. I was very impressed with the ProActive Physical Therapy facility and all the staff. Everyone was friendly, personable, and helpful. The team at ProActive exceeded my expectations. The facility is kept very clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend ProActive Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending the Aqua therapy ProActive offers for about 4 months and could not be happier. I went to see them because I had been experiencing increased pain in my knees; I've struggled with obesity the better part of my adult life and the past couple of years did me no favors. When I made efforts to return to my exercise routines, I struggled due to the pain, which would inevitably cause me to stop. I was disheartened and didn't know how to help myself get healthier. At the suggestion of my doctor I looked into aqua therapy and several of the companies that offered it in my area. I reached out to ProActive because of the on-line reviews, but choose them because of the customer service I received during my initial communication with their staff. The level of customer service I experienced continued through my on-site assessment with the added bonus that the staff was knowledgeable and kind. They were able to pinpoint the areas (not just my knees) in my body that needed attention and provided a game plan me. This plan included aqua therapy with Laura and I am so very grateful for this experience. Laura is encouraging, approachable, intuitive and nurtures a pleasant environment in her sessions. She is always quick to offer suggestions with a friendly smile, when she notices that I'm struggling a bit. I so admire how she manages to keep an eye on me and several other patients and knows exactly what we are doing and provides next-step directions. I have been able to get some of my weight off, which I am ecstatic about and what I am learning/practicing here is helping me strengthen my body so that I can safely increase the activity I can do. I truly recommend this place.

We both need physical therapy right now for different reasons, and we both think the world of our Physical Therapist, Mary Pat Hall. In addition, all the people who work there in various roles are wonderful, very friendly, and fun to be around. Everyone knows our names, and we know all of theirs (which is a challenge with Covid masks). If you need Physical Therapy, we both highly recommend ProActive in RB.
