Fantastic experience: Eric and Lindsay are awesome in what they do. This is a very relaxing place to do your therapy. Also Michelle and Madison are so helpful and full of joy and smiles. Clients are happy I can tell even if I just had my 3rd session- they show contentment in the service they get like me. Kudos to the team. The only setback is the far restroom so if you really have a bad injury this is a hard place to go to but you can use your restroom before you come here. All in all, all staff are very friendly and beat place too.

Fantastic experience: Lou played a major roll in my ability to quickly recover from my knee replacement surgery. Through my eight weeks of therapy, he listened to my concerns and helped me to achieve great results in a short amount of time. Everyone at the office is very friendly and eager to assist with any issue I may have making for a very pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: I found the two therapists that worked with me to be professional and knowledgeable. They addressed my issues with balance that helped me better understand what I had to work on daily. I noticed a physical change in my overall balance by the end of the program. Fantastic experience: I started PT with a frozen shoulder. It hurt to lift my arm. I couldn’t even brush my hair! I thought I would need surgery but with help working my arm & shoulder I did not. Today I have full motion. The exercise program that was specifically designed for my issues really worked. The encouragement & the weekly improvement amazed me. Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with North County Water Sport Physical Therapy due to the attentiveness of the team during my sessions. David and Eric are nothing but awesome. Whenever I go, I get a full hour with them, starting with manual manipulation and a thorough assessment of my injury and stiffness. They help me engage the correct muscles by providing precise cues. Their deep understanding of the human body has led to very productive discussions, and their personalized care has significantly contributed to my progress. I deeply appreciate their efforts and the improvement in my health. As I'm doing the exercises, David and Eric are with me every step of the way, ensuring that I'm firing the correct muscles and retraining them in a productive manner. Their wonderful manual manipulation addresses my tight muscles and injuries, providing comprehensive care throughout the session. Compared to other physical therapy places where you only get 15 minutes with the therapist before being passed on to a PT assistant who just focuses on getting you in and out, the care at North County Water Sport Physical Therapy is drastically different. At other places, they demonstrate the exercise and give you a timer to execute it by yourself, regardless of whether you are engaging the correct muscles or not. Additionally, Michelle and Adrianne are a breeze to work with. They respond quickly and are always able to reschedule or find appointments for me without delay. They make a fantastic team, and I highly recommend North County Water Sport Physical Therapy to anyone looking to improve their health and regain their strength. I will follow up with a more technical review later.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in the office is very welcoming on the phone and in person providing superb customer service. Beth Scalone, you are superb in your knowledge, communication skills and professionalism while exuding warmth. You ask pertinent questions and listen intently so a plan of action can be developed. As a water fitness instructor, a frozen shoulder was not ideal to kick off the summer season. However, due to the specific exercises you trained me on, I was able to start the summer program pain free. I totally credit your professional guidance as the number one reason I am on deck demonstrating without any shoulder ache and back to doing functional moves without an ouch!! Thank you, thank you!! Fantastic experience: The best Physical therapy clinic that I have visited. Even after a few visits I was able to start walking without my walker. Louis Fernandez was doing a great job helping me with my Total Knee Replacement surgery. Same thing with Della who also helped me a lot with my therapy. Then there's Eric who is also one reason why I can walk better right now. I want to thank these people for making me feel good now. Fantastic experience: Big thank you to the entire staff at North County Water & Sports Therapy Center! Everyone is so friendly here and the atmosphere is great! I worked with David to fix my knee, back and neck pains and I have to say that I've never met such a dedicated healthcare professional as him! He literally went above and beyond to fully understand all of my issues and to treat them. David truly wants to help you get better and it really shows every time you interact with him. Fantastic experience: Therapists were always on time, professional, and great to work with. Eric and Laura put a lot of thought into my program and as a result I was surprised at how fast I was able to improve my muscle strength and balance to help me prepare for knee surgery. First their therapy helped me with neck and shoulder pain, it was amazing. They also helped me after my knee surgery and I was at a luncheon after 3 weeks and back to hiking after 6. I would highly recommend North County Therapy center to anyone needing physical therapy for arm, shoulder, neck, and knee replacement.

Fantastic experience: They provide dedicated therapists to help me that can trace my progress accurately and closely. Therapists are very experienced and helpful. My heel is getting better with the training. I also learned a lot from my therapists in health and daily training. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: 4/17/24: I have been receiving physical therapy for Parkinson's twice a week for the last 4 months and I love it. My Neurologist referred me here in late December 2023 and I had my first therapy session in mid January. My primary therapists, Naureen, and Della know Parkinsons well and they have helped me improve my strength flexibility, gait and balance that hinder me the most in everyday life. Like all staff, they are incredibly caring and pleasant to deal with. Naureen and Della always demonstrate the exact moves and exercises beforehand so I can understand. I am constantly challenged but also praised when I do things better including to form than the last time. I am improving to the point that I will soon transition to once a week small group Parkinsons excercise classes started by Naureen. I also want to recognize the front reception desk for their constant helpfulness in scheduling and their cheerfulness, especially Michelle who I have known the longest. 1/19/24: I met the most welcoming, helpful and friendly staff on my initial visits to North County Sports Therapy. I like their large facility and ease of access in central San Diego County. I look forward to my future scheduled sessions with their staff for my advancing Parkinson's Disease.

Fantastic experience: When diagnosed with a frozen shoulder I was referred to Dr. Leslie Monagle by a friend who had been a long time client. Leslie was instrumental in guiding me successfully through the long slow recovery and rehab that followed a shoulder replacement surgery. Knowledgeable and compassionate, Leslie excels at providing the individualized tools needed to work toward an optimum outcome. The staff is caring and professional; they provide PT with a personal touch.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Beth for six months following rotator cuff surgery, to fix a torn ligament in my shoulder. Beth worked with me one-on-one for an entire hour, 2 to 3 times a week. Over time I regained both strength and range of motion without re-injuring my shoulder. Beth has a PHD in Physical Therapy and decades of experience. I recommend Beth, and her group, with no reservations.

Fantastic experience: I feel very comfortable at this facility. My physical therapist is awesome and the rest of the staff is polite. I really like the time David puts in to help me feel better and teaching me little nuggets to help through and pain that may occur after. Thank you all for what you do..

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this therapy center!!! 4 months of therapy total. I was experiencing consistent lower back and ankle pain due to my flat feet. Every therapist I worked with was extremely helpful and understanding in addressing areas that I needed to strengthen to alleviate the pain, and equipping me with a home exercise/stretch program that I can use/track to ensure I can stay on the right path.

Fantastic experience: Came here for post operational treatment on my shoulder. I mainly met with Naureen, Laura, and Jan, all of whom were determined and did a great job. The post-operation physical therapy that I am receiving from Allen Kao is finally helping to relieve much of the pain. I can sit for more than an hour now with little pain. Fantastic experience: Highly highly recommend NCWST! I was referred here after an ACL repair and could not imagine getting treatment anywhere else. When I first started going, I was working on getting my range of motion back. Everyone was so encouraging; even the PTs that didn't work with me would cheer for me for literally ever degree of motion I would get back. It was such a journey from limping in through the door with crutches to slowly getting more mobility to me passing my return to sports test. This is my second time with North county water and sport’s therapy , I loved the way they receive and listen to me with what pain I am going throw and work on that and always go with good modifications with it . Previous my physician has suggest another place but I felt very good and comfortable with this place and especially with the therapist and front desk they always take care of my appointments if I need to change at last minute I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: This is the third time I have been a patient at North County Water and Sports Therapy; I would never go anywhere else because they are the BEST! Their physical therapists are top-notch and the entire staff is so welcoming and helpful. I have chronic back issues and had a major flare-up, so I started sessions with John Bunnell. John is just amazing! He is everything you would want a physical therapist to be - knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, and always offering words of encouragement. I also appreciated the customized treatment plan (available as an app for your phone.) It was always being “fine-tuned” to accommodate my limits; yet still allowed me to work towards my goals of pain relief, mobility, and core strength. When John wasn’t available, I had the pleasure of working with Della. Della is also excellent - personable, caring, experienced and very knowledgeable. This facility and staff are simply exceptional! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend John, Della and the entire team at North County!

Fantastic experience: David B. helped me recover from a broken ankle. When I first showed up, my ankle was extremely stiff and weak, and I found walking painful and slow. David was very kind and knowledgable and helped make a very speedy recovery. I noticed significant improvement after each session, and after several weeks, I was back enjoying my favorite activities: surfing, swimming, and beach volleyball, all of which require significant ankle strength and mobility. Hopefully, I can avoid injuries in the near future, but at least I know I can count on David if I need help.

Fantastic experience: The therapy I received was the best I have experiened. Laura gives you her undivided attention, unlike PT I've had in the past. The entire hour is dedicated to you. While traveling I have all the exercises on my phone, so no excuses not to do them. I would highly recommend North County Water & Sports Therapy Center to others, as I already have!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend North County Water & Sports Therapy Center. Nauruan, my therapist, has been extremely thorough through all phases of my therapy, I give her a 10 out of 10. My therapy includes working on my spinal stenosis, sciatica pain, lack of balance and coordination. This is just the top off the list. My visits always start on how i felt after the last session and move into my routine and the things that i would like to accomplish. If for some reason Naureen was not available due to scheduling (mine usually) the other therapists on the TEAM are up to speed on my progress and the visits plan. This is the only center that I have been to that the therapist spends the entire hour working with you. Trust me I have been to a few in San Diego, (I drove my body like I stole it). To sum it up North County Water & Sports Therapy Center is a place to get some of the best quality physical therapy. Everyone on the staff is kind and professional and you know the visit is about you and getting you a better quality of life. Joe C

Each therapist I worked with was well trained and knowledgeable about my surgery, strengths and limits. Most importantly the therapist spends the entire hour working with you. Fantastic experience: I went in and my groin was injured and I couldn’t play soccer. I did physical therapy with John for a couple weeks and my groin is 100% better and I can get back to playing. Fantastic experience: The best, most personalized physical therapy I have ever received. My left foot was in a cast and boot for over 6 months. My strength and balance were severely impacted. The road back seemed hopeless. I love the balancing equipment; it has helped so much. I am not there yet, but physical therapy puts me closer to getting back to where I was before the broken foot. I also have a shoulder injury. Tough year but North County is a great place to heal.

I was initially referred somewhere else for the shoulder pain but only wanted to go back to this group for the work needed. My experience with Ranya H. was the BEST! She (and the entire group) of therapists worked with me and for me to resolve the shoulder pain issues. Kind and caring - my best interest was always taken into consideration. . . I don't think I ever need to find a different facility should the need arise in the future.

So glad I had my recovery therapy done here at the NC Water and Sports Therapy Center, and especially due to their exceptional therapist David, I was able to return to almost as I was prior to surgery, but this is a slow process (even after 7-1/2 months) and still getting better daily. 5 Star Plus review.

Fantastic experience: Allen Kao was so helpful and caring and did such a great job helping me get back on track! I'm 54 and after being so sedentary during the pandemic I was having Achilles pain that just wouldn't go away. It was keeping me from getting back to exercising and any time I tried I'd be in pain for weeks. Allen helped me with some focused massage, stretching, and strengthening exercises and after about ten weeks I'm now able to exercise and feel perfectly fine by the next day or sooner. I'm now easing my way back into an exercise routine. Thanks Allen!!

Fantastic experience: My experience at North County Water & Sports Therapy Center has been amazing for various reasons. The onboarding process and scheduling was very smooth and the treatment was very effective. All thanks to Adrianne, Marissa, and Naureen. My reason for seeking treatment at North County Water & Sports Therapy Center was because I was having excruciating pain on my neck and shoulder limiting my range of motion. I was unable to perform day to day activities without triggering the pain. Therefore, I was highly discouraged to do any sort of movement that would trigger the pain. Naureen was my physical therapist. From day one, I was very impressed how quickly Naureen was able to identify the source of my pain and created a treatment plan to help me prevent further injury and speed my recovery. Naureen taught me the correct way to do exercises that helped strengthen the affected area and regain mobility of my neck and shoulder. What I appreciated the most, was her ability to explain how the exercises engaged certain muscles and why it was important to maintain proper form. Her ability to explain helped me remember the proper techniques to each exercise and the purpose of them. The fact that Naureen was very knowledgeable and detail oriented, helped me understand my diagnosis and visualize my recovery keeping me motivated. Not only did Naureen make sure that I understood the importance of each exercise, she provided alternative exercises that I can practice at home outside our sessions. Additionally, she enrolled me to the North County Water & Sports Center app that encourages regularly exercising with proper techniques for pain management and prevention. The app allows you to ask questions to your physical therapist outside of sessions. Naureen genuinely cares about the recovery of her patients and it truly reflects in her demeanor. Her positive attitude and kindness were also major contributing factors in helping me stay dedicated. Overall, North County Water & Sports Therapy Center helped pave my way to recovery by having such an amazing team. My range of motion improved significantly along with my posture! I no longer feel pain, allowing me to complete my day to day activities. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: The back story to my plantar fasciitis is that I had attended another physical therapy setting for 8 months. The pain had stopped in the one foot, but reared itself again in the opposite foot. Chatting with a friend one evening, she said I should try this other physical therapy site. Ranya Halabo at North County Water and Sports was the physical therapist I was assigned for treatment. The first thing I noticed compared to the other setting was the professional layout inside, wide open space and varied equipment. The ambience was distinct. Sessions were twice the time as the previous setting. Ranya was positive, professional, thorough and patiently answered my many questions. She gently led my recovery when I was too “enthusiastic” about adding weight, reps or milage to my long walks. She graciously accommodated my requests about other body imbalance issues during treatment. Not only will I be recommending Ranya for physical therapy, but I can wholeheartedly speak to how Ranya’s compassionate personality and spirit will complement your treatment!

Fantastic experience: NCWS is truly a special place! I've been to many other physical therapy centers in the past and NCWS is unique in that the physical therapist stays with you the entire hour. They listened deeply to my concerns, fears, and insecurities and gave me the tools I needed to recover and reach my goals. Throughout each session, the physical therapist worked closely with me the entire hour, tracking each movement and offering adjustments when I needed them. The most valuable lesson I learned from the physical therapists at NCWS is how to listen to my body. They helped me understand my relationship with pain and how to respond to each sensation in my body in a mindful and compassionate way. As my body ages, I am forever grateful for my time at NCWS and their guidance in my healing process. Fantastic experience: I was referred to North County Water & Sports Therapy Center Physical Therapy after I tore my plantar fascia on my left foot while playing Tennis. Having being in an uncomfortable boot for 2 months, I was quite apprehensive about what was to follow. Dr. Laura Steindorf oversaw my my rehabilitation plan and prescribed my daily regimen of exercises to heal and strengthen my foot and ankle. In addition, the twice a week hour long sessions at the Center helped me regain better posture, balance and strength. My foot has significantly improved and am now able to go on long 3-4 mile walks. In a short 2-3 month period, my progress and recovery has been remarkable. All the credit goes to Dr. Laura, who in the later stages, was supported by an able intern Lindsey Rooney. Laura is a great listener, empathetic and has great inter-personal skills. In addition, the appointment scheduling and reminders from Adrienne have been top notch. My physiotherapist David Brick is an exceptional specialist and the exercises he shows to me every week make me feel much better. Front-desk made the approval and scheduling process really easy. Allen Kao was my physiotherapist who assessed and treated me throughout all the sessions. His exercise program helped me gain the muscle strength and improve the range of motion. He is kind, knowledgeable and listens to the patient. Fantastic experience: My time at North County Water & Sports Therapy Center was outstanding. I went for my left arm, neck, and right shoulder and from day 1, my physical therapist, Naureen, was kind, understanding and very knowledgeable. Naureen showed me how to use the correct muscles to avoid overuse of the wrong ones and she provided the proper techniques to use with the tools I had at home to continue working on my goals outside of our sessions. It is obvious that Naureen is highly educated in her field, but to me, what was more important was her kindness. I would come in for my appointment stressed because it is usually after work and by the time our pt session is done, I am leaving in a much better mood. Additionally, the front desk team, Adrianne and Kyla, were very accommodating, whether it be with scheduling appointments or with following up with my referrals from the doctor’s office or the insurance company. Lastly, the facility was always neat, clean, and organized. I truly appreciated how the equipment was sanitized before and after my session, it made me feel safe.

Fantastic experience: Beth, I want to sincerely thank you and your ENTIRE team for helping me reach my goal. In November of 2021 I signed up for an endurance event unlike anything I have ever heard of or done. It was called 29029everesting. This event rents a ski slope, in my case Snowbasin Utah, and we hike it. The goal is to get the elevation gain of Mt. Everest, 29,029'. The slope we hike is approximately 2.3mi long with an elevation gain of just 2,300' per summit. Thus, the goal is to do this 13 times, we only have 36hrs to complete this task. Now, this is not a race, it is a challenge. So, fast wasn't my goal, finishing was. When I started training in Nov 2021, I started to experience many pains and minor injuries. I had come into the training with a lot of issues already but now the hiking, walking was making things flare up; hips, low back, knee and achilles. All things I would need to be in top shape come my event in Aug 2022. When I first saw Beth and her team, my left hip was so tight I was not able to cross my ankle on my knee, my left achilles was so sore I was not able to do steep climbs or even walk without severe pain and limp and my right hip was sore due to taking the load/brunt of the work during my hikes and walks. This all resulted in my low back being very tight and not always very happy to be moving. Knowing I had an event to train for with only a limited time to train, Beth's team never once told me to NOT do something. They work on my mobility, flexibility, muscle strength and balance. I am so proud to say that after the session and going into the challenge, my left hip mobility had dramatically improved, my right hip was no longer taking the brunt of the work, my low back was pain free and my achilles was in the best shape in a long time! I was able to complete all 13 summits, complete the challenge with minor aches and pains. My achilles pain was minor and was only intermittent and was not debilitating. Both my hips were not an issue and pain was minimal and would be expected with any person doing 13 hikes gaining over 29000' in elevation gain. I can not thank you and your team enough and would recommend your team to any and everyone whether you are training for a sporting event, recovering from surgery, trying to avoid a surgery or improve the quality of life through movement. The staff was caring and attentive to my needs and provided me with a personalized approach to my treatment. Stefan

I have been having pain in my jaw and lower back for several years, and my physical therapist Allen almost immediately was able to assess the cause of this pain and we have treated both within a few months. The sessions are very positive and helpful, and the exercises that I have learned have been very effective. Everyone here has been extremely professional and friendly, and they have made it very easy for me to follow this program, including having super flexible scheduling hours. Fantastic experience: Everyone at North County Water & Sports Therapy Center continues to be knowledgeable, professional, helpful and friendly from the front desk staff to the Physical Therapists themselves. I was having lower back pain doing a lot of activities and sitting. While treating me, they made sure I wasn't in pain or uncomfortable and paid attention to what was too difficult or too easy. They tailored my therapy at the office and my home physical therapy exercises to my needs and to my progress. Before physical therapy started, I thought my days of sitting on the couch, on an airplane or at the theater were over. Now I am back to all of that sitting and to my usual activities. Of course I did what exercises I was supposed to do at home but they guided and encouraged me the whole way. I was worried I might need surgery or my life was not going to be as rewarding. With physical therapy though I was back to my old self. I highly recommend North County Water & Sports Therapy Center!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at North County Water and Sports Therapy Center frequently over the past 10-15 years. I am a physically active mature woman who has recurring back, hip and neck issues due to overuse (misuse), bursitis and arthritis. When I can't resolve these issues on my own, I return to the wonderful physical therapists at No. Co. Water and Sports Therapy Center. Most recently I worked with Allen to resolve neck stiffness and pain which was bad enough that it interfered with my exercise routine and sleep. After two times a week sessions for a month, I have "graduated" and am feeling much better. I also learned how to work out smarter to avoid further issues in the future. The entire staff is friendly and professional. And, you get the undivided attention of your physical therapist for an hour. They guide you, answer questions and explain and demonstrate proper form. We also have great conversations about other things so you get to know your therapist. Definitely a beneficial and enjoyable experience.

Fantastic experience: For the past 4 years, I've had tension headaches several days a week, which would then trigger debilitating migraines. I thought this was something that I would live with for the rest of my life. When I was seeing the neurologist for another issue, he referred me to physical therapy for my tension headaches and said he thought I could be rid of them in 6-12 weeks. I have been seeing Ryan at North County Water and Sports Therapy for the last several months and I can go weeks at a time without a tension headache, something I didn't think was possible for me. North County Water and Sports Therapy is a clean, professional, warm, and friendly environment. Adrianne at the front desk is very friendly and super helpful. Ryan is a great physical therapist. He has also treated my 18 year old son who has had lingering pain from a shoulder injury, and after one visit my son said that it's the best his shoulder has felt since it was broken 3 years ago.

Fantastic experience: Before my TKR surgery I was researching physical therapy centers. The overwhelmingly response was to go to NC Water & Sports if I wanted the best recovery. They were right! I worked with Leslie and Jan and they are the BEST!! They always encouraged me and never gave up. I can’t tell you how much that means to me. ❤️ Everything was hard at the beginning but especially walking down stairs. I just couldn’t do it or walk any type of downward decline without a lot of pain. Slowly with the exercises I did in the center and at home I got stronger and I am now able to quickly run down stairs and walk without any pain. Fantastic experience: Another year, another issue to deal with! At the end of 2020, I noticed ongoing pain in my upper back and shoulder. NCW&STC worked with me to get authorization for PT and once again I worked with Ryan Cacciotti and Jan Ballard. It was determined that I had a pinched nerve in my neck and Ryann developed a treatment plan that combined massage (the best part!) with a series of exercises. Within 2 weeks, I was aware of much less pain and improved mobility. When we agreed that I had recovered - and had the tools to ensure continued freedom from pain - my therapy ended. I have been going to North County for more than 5 years now - for a variety of issues - two knee replacements and a torn rotator cuff, primarily. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and know when to be the "cheerleader" and then to push a little harder. Yes, I learned that you have to do the prescribed exercises at home if you want results. They keep up with current trends in the PT field and employ the latest equipment - but never lose focus on what's best for me, the patient. As a 75-year-old woman who has arthritis - osteo and rheumatoid - and a body that shows the miles, I know I'll need physical therapy again. I won't look any further than North County Water & Sports Therapy Center.

Fantastic experience: I first went to North County Water and Sports Therapy Center to take a workshop for back pain with Beth Scalone. And never thought I would be needing therapy for several issues. Now three years later after two knee replacement surgeries, a broken arm and other minor areas needing attention, I am still here working with Beth recovering from a second knee surgery just eight weeks ago. Beth is knowledgeable, competent and very dedicated to her work as a physical therapist. She gives you a home exercise program with a video to reinforce your in session therapy to remind you to do the exercises correctly using proper technique. As a educator, Beth gives you information to help you avoid injuries while performing activities. If you can’t do an exercise, she will find an alternative creative way to do an exercise. Beth best traits of all is her patience always encouraging and motivating you as a person. If you are sensitive to people touching you, Beth has a gentle touch. She is a caring understanding person who wants you to achieve your goals. And hoping one day I will achieve my goal and finally be pain free after three years. In the Fall my dad was hospitalized for 3 weeks. He returned home with home health care and then progressed to outpatient PT. He would call me after each session and tell me how much he enjoyed it and how much stronger he felt. I golfed, play tennis, mountain biked, hiked, and chased my grand kid around. Arthritis in both of my hips took all of that away from me. Just trying to walk became difficult. After having both hips replaced I went to North County Water & Sports Therapy Center for physical therapy. It’s a great facility with a competent and friendly staff. The place is well equipped, organized, and with the COVID-19 threat around, they had all the necessary protocols in place. My physical therapist was Emily and she was terrific. She put a treatment plan together for me that was based on my personal needs and goals. She got me back to all of the activities that I had lost. I’m back on the course, courts, trails and chasing my grandson around. He’s learning to snow ski now so that’s an activity I look forward to getting back to as well. When I completed my therapy, she updated my plan so that I could continue to get better on my own and I have. I have complete confidence in this place and would not go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: North County Water and Sports Therapy has dramatically changed my life. I had gone to numerous physical therapist and felt that it was a total waste of time. They were usually taking care of 3 other patients along with me. The one-one therapy at North County really does make a difference. Leslie has been working with me for almost 3 years now and that may sound like a lot, but she's correcting over 30 years of damage. I had numerous migraines a week, could only turn my head a few inches in each direction due to facet dysfunction. And then, there was my lower back. The muscles were so frozen that my hips moved as one, I couldn't move one hip independently of the other. The doctors wrote me off as hopeless and fed me narcotics. I knew that there had to be a better way. I knew that water therapy worked on horses so it should also work on people. That's how I found North County. I saw Leslie , my therapist, until recently I was going twice a week, once for the cervical area and once for the lower back. I go once a week now, mainly for my lower back. I have my neck worked on every couple of weeks, I have almost full turning capability and migraines are once a month and I can control them with PT and Tylenol. The improvement on my lower back has been phenomenal. My hips move independently, a lot of the back pain is gone. The hip, knee, groin pain is almost resolved. I still have some muscles that are taking longer to retrain and not to be so defensive. I think that my S/I joint will always bother me, especially at night but I can live with that. I went from sleeping most of the day because of pain and the meds to a functioning, living person. I supplement the PT with swimming and I am the healthiest I have been in decades. Fantastic experience: North County Water & Sports Therapy Center & my Orthopedic surgeon (Dr. William Winternitz) saved my career as a firefighter after sustaining a potential career ending knee injury. Right after surgery, the professional team of Physical Therapist (Beth, Leslie & Jan) quickly went to work getting me back on my injured knee, and putting together a successful program to get me back to full duty at the fire department.
