Eugene Physical Therapy: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I saw Jeff for my right hand and my left knee. My experience has been EXCELLENT! Jeff is very responsive by email as well. In person, Jeff wastes no time and gets right to work! From the start, Jeff said that my hand has been so abused (over my decades of gardening, art work and drumming) and the arthritis was quite bad and he did not know how much he could do for me. But 2 months later, with the many exercises that Jeff gave me, my arthritic finger which was swollen, red, in almost constant pain with compromised range of mobility is now pain free (with no medication) and with greatly improved range of mobility. It is not 100% and Jeff never promised 100%, but I am extremely happy! Jeff also gave me advice on how I should pace myself with my work so I can better care for my hand. I was resigned to living with a less than perfect knee. But Jeff took me through the fear of injuring my knee to working with it to gain more range of mobility. I am very happy with the result! In general, I am extremely happy to learn that even at my age and with decades of overuse, I can get my body to improve and work better for me. Thank you so much, Jeff!!!!
Fantastic experience: My experience with physical therapist Jeff Giulietti and his clinical staff began 2 decades ago at the recommendation of a colleague at the University of Oregon. Her description of the process that led to her recovery impressed me and I continue to be grateful to her for steering me in Eugene Physical Therapy's direction. EPT therapists deliver on their claim that they have a passion for patient care and are satisfied with only the best, most effective results. I've been treated for lower back, neck and shoulder issues over the years. Without exception, I received a spot-on diagnosis on the source of the issue. That's important to me because it fast-tracks an effective treatment plan and healing comes sooner than later. There's a vibe of high expectations in the clinic. As a person in pain, it provides reassurance and hope. It also communicates that the patient has entered a partnership for recovery and has responsibilities for their own healing. At times the treatment plan seemed over ambitious to me, but I trusted my therapist, put in the work and the results got me back to enjoying a full, productive life. A huge thanks to you EPT therapists, and the staff who support you, for sharing your expertise every day in you ongoing dedication to your patients.
Fantastic experience: I went to Jeff for my tennis elbow, and he did magic. Combination of great knowledge and obvious passion for his job is what Jeff uses to care for his clients. I’m back to my workout routine because of him and I can’t be more grateful!
Fantastic experience: I went to Eugene Physical Therapy based on a recommendation from a friend. The exercises that I was asked to do were challenging, but I was committed to getting better so I did them faithfully. The end result is that I am now able to resume the activities that I participated in prior to being seen here.
Fantastic experience: Eugene Physical Therapy is a wonderful place. At 60 I found myself with low back and hip pain that was limiting my mobility and causing pain. I worked with Drew Peterschmidt SPT and Jeff Giulietti MPT. Evaluation was quickly and concisely done and treatment commenced. 3 visits and a final treatment plan for my individual issue and ongoing back care was given. My problem resolved quickly and I have no pain with this exercise plan! Not walking around like I am 100 years old now! Thank you Jeff and Drew for your care and expertise. I now have the tools to treat my own backforever grateful to you both! I will highly recommend you to friends and family and coworkers!
Fantastic experience: I initially came to see Logan for vertigo which subsequently corrected itself by the time of my appointment. But during his consult and exam with me I told him I had cervical stenosis and long- standing left eye pain. He really listened, asked questions then he did a few maneuvers and exercises. For the first time in 5 to 10 years I had no eye pain. I honestly did not know how to feel. I had spent years thinking this is just how I was now. I had seen multiple specialists and spent thousands of dollars to be told it was just because of a vision problem and specialized glasses would help. They never did. This eye pain was a part of who I was at this point. I just lived with it and I had grown to not know life without it. I watched TV pressing on my left eye to help alleviate pain, I scrunched my eyes tightly to help with pain throughout the day or just kept my eyes closed. But after doing those couple maneuvers, I felt no pain. I understand it could come back and this is a road to correcting an issue but for the first time in years I am seeing without pain. After I left, I cried from just the overwhelming sense of joy, relief and honestly hope I haven't felt in so long. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Logan. You have fundamentally changed my day-to-day life in such a huge way.
Tiffanie, we are so glad to hear that you had such a positive experience, and that it has had such a profound impact on your quality of life. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Jeff and his office enough for seeing me quickly and fitting me in his schedule. I had a back issue and MRI. It was a long road of pain meds, PCP, and pain specialist. Jeff kept in touch through the process. When I was ready for PT Jeff gave me strengthening exercises and training I can use forever. His support gave me confidence I can live an active life.
We're so glad your experience was helpful and has given you the tools to lead that active life! Thank you Kathleen!
Fantastic experience: Jeff Giulietti's expertise, based years of experience, is the ideal prescription for getting you active again! He listens and considers your unique circumstances to thoughtfully design a PT program to meet your needs. He challenged me each week with new exercises for my frozen shoulder and my range of motion and practical function increased more quickly than I thought possible. I also appreciated how friendly and professional the staff was. Highly recommend Jeff and his team at Eugene Physical Therapy. They're amazing!
Thank you Lori for the fantastic review! We're so glad you've had such a good experience!
Negative experience: Edit 02/22: since I cannot respond to comments, let me clarify something: I did see improvement at Eugene Physical Therapy but it was NOT due to Jeff like their comment may imply. I went on to work with a different person because I refused to see him again after how disrespectful he was and my other PT advocated for me not to see him again as well. I don’t know why the person on their team felt it was appropriate to share my progress status. I have chronic pain. I still do but I use Bryan and Kayla’s tool to help myself manage it. All Jeff did for me was cause me to weep in front of my boss after being talked down to. If anyone else would like to scroll through, it’s clear that Jeff has a history of gaslighting people and writing them off. There was even a physical therapist who shared a somewhat similar experience. I am not a child to be raised and Jeff was not a star player in my pain management journey, which remains ongoing for me. Original: This review only reflects my experience with Jeff. Every other person there has been wonderful and accommodating thus far. I am an autistic adult and I had a severe back injury in my teens that I was not able to get proper care for. If you're neurodivergent, I would recommend you look for care somewhere else. Upon seeing my headphones, which I do not often wear, he seemed uncomfortable and kept having me take them off. I tried to explain that I had come from a work conference, so I was a little overwhelmed already from that. He implied that his physical therapy would make me "all better" while gesturing to my headphones, he spoke to me in an overly annunciated and slowed down way, and he dismissed me when I tried to talk to him about how my sensory processing issues were a result of autism, not my injury. In fact he really dismissed anything that I had to say. He also never asked for my consent on anything the entire time, including the fact that he would be having a student therapist working on me. Jeff has some heavily ableist ideals and references 10-year-old literature that was speaking on how pain influences neurotypical people's experience of pain and sensory overwhelm. TLDR; Jeff disregarded my autonomy, tried to speak for me, insinuated that my autistic traits were caused by an injury despite predating the event, spoke to me as if I had a cognitive delay, and was overall a completely overwhelming person who made me feel belittled. Neurodivergents beware.
Dear Hope:Physical Therapy can often be both a mental and physical journey. Some patients fail to improve at all over the first month. Our commitment to Excellence for our 2 clinics gives the unique opportunity to have your PT request a Team consultation with the owner, Jeff Giulietti. History is reviewed in depth, acomprehensive examination is performed including questions about physical and psychological history, and recommendations are made.Treatment programs can be adjusted accordingly and usually improvement is made, which seems to be what is happening in your case. You may have heard “it can take a village to raise the child”…..for our clinic “sometimes it takes a Team to help a patient with a very complicated case”.
Negative experience: Beware!! I am physical therapist myself and I went to Eugene physical therapy AS PATIENT and asked for Jeff G since he had so much experience and degrees behind his name. I went post ACL reconstruction with medial meniscus repair and partial lateral menisectomy. Usually it take 9-12 months to return back to sports and have patients sprint and fully squat with weight. And he had me do those things 2-4 months post surgery. Jeff pushed me to do exercises which I was not ready for. On one instance my knee swelled up after 3-4 weeks after my surgery he gave me exercises which I was having pain with and he asked me to be on toe touch weight bearing after swelling. He said, “ I discharge Acl reconstruction patients within 2 months and you are taking too long”. I had meniscus repair too my case was not usual ACL reconstruction only. He had me sprint by end of Sept/beginning of October and my surgery was in June of that year (4 months post surgery) After discharge from his clinic I requested them to email me notes. His “subjective” part of on most of his notes were totally inaccurate calling patients “high anxiety” when they complain of pain or voice concerns. When patient voices they are feeling pain he will document falsely putting blame on patient as if patient did something during their home exercises. I have to get ACL revision surgery again since my graft failed. I took 2 opinions from different surgeons they both said you were “pushed” with your rehab and prematurely discharged. One of them implied his patients also had same experience with Jeff. He also demeans other junior therapist working at his clinic. If you decide to go to him please make sure he documents all exercises in his notes and ask for his notes after every visit or before next visit. If he hand you out his exercise paper please file it for your records. I bet he will come up with explanation to this review rather than working to get better.
Hi Jenil,Each situation is unique and there are many factors involved in outcomes. We hear your frustration and wish we could give more of the whole picture, but need to honor your confidentiality. We wish you the best in your upcoming surgery and recovery.
Fantastic experience: Let me say at first I felt a bit intimidated...but once I got into it I loved the exercises, and I KNEW I was getting stronger! The exercises are tailored to your own needs, and you get results FAST. Once acclimated, I actually enjoyed the exercises, and why not when you know you are only getting stronger? I would definitely recommend Eugene PT. My PT person was Jeff, and he knows exactly what he's doing and how to get results. PJR
Thank you so much for the review Pam! We love hearing that you had such a positive experience!
Negative experience: PARENTS BEWARE! The owner, Jeff Giulietti, is arrogant and demoralizing. My 14 year old daughter has been receiving physical therapy at Eugene Physical Therapy for over a month, seeing Tony and making great progress. Due to scheduling challenges, my daughter was scheduled to see Jeff Giulietti instead earlier this week. After several minutes with Jeff, my daughter was pressured with questions and felt emotional after not being allowed time to process and answer. Jeff then pushed her further by asking her such questions as, “Are you shy or something?!! Why are you getting emotional??“ His manor was judgmental, rather than from a place of genuine curiosity. We returned to Eugene Physical Therapy today, and Jeff Giulietti was not only scheduled to see my daughter again, but he also informed us that my daughter had to work with him alone. I was instructed to stay in the waiting room. My daughter requested I be able to stay in the room, as I have done for her past six visits, and Jeff still refused. In fact, he said his office could no longer care for my daughter if he couldn’t be alone with her in the room. Jeff Giulietti at Eugene Physical Therapy has left my daughter feeling traumatized, rather than supported in her healing.
One of the most important aspects of our PT staff treating a minor is the support and trust of the parents. This sometimes means the PT will ask parents to wait outside in our waiting area with a report at the end of the session. Children can often behave differently when parents are present. This also gives the patient a chance to improve their self-reliance and to own their problem and treatment. In this case, Jeff politely asked the patient if he could treat her with mom waiting in the waiting area and give mom a summary at the end of the visit. The patient initially agreed. Mom asked why this was necessary. One of our other PT staff Matthew Smith, DPT gave mom a very in-depth explanation. Even so, mom still refused this request of the treating Physical Therapist. Jeff advised no treatment that day. Mom chose to end therapy and “go elsewhere”. Jeff Giulietti has treated infants, children and teenagers successfully for 30+ years. Mom’s choice was not typical of the majority of children/ teenagers and their parents who come to receive care at EPT.
Fantastic experience: I think Jeff really knows his stuff! I went to two pt’s prior to seeing Jeff ! I had a left leg that didn’t track straight! Jeff was the only pt to actually take the time to really figure out what was wrong, he had the ability to think outside the box, where the others just went by a manual!! I would highly recommend going to ept for any of your Therapy needs!!! I will never go elsewhere, if Jeff can fix me he can figure out and fix anyone!!!
Thank you Frank for sharing about your experience at EPT! We appreciate the positive feedback!
Fantastic experience: I want to thank Jeff and Jacqueline for helping me with my lower back pinched nerve. In about a month of physical therapy I’m back 100%. What a great job. Thank you
Robert, thank you so much for the positive feedback! We're so glad to hear that you're doing well!
Fantastic experience: Jeff and his staff have helped me several times over the years. Always successfully. I've had a knee problem, torn calf muscle, and stiff and damaged back. Most recently I hurt my back pretty severely and wondered if I would ever be able to play golf again. Now five weeks later I'm back to playing good golf. I'm 84 years old and over many years have seen physical therapists and chiropractors in several cities. Jeff is the best I've ever seen. A true blessing to the folks in our area.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback Stephen!!
Fantastic experience: Jeff Giulietti is the best physical Therapist I have ever worked with. He knew exactly how to treat my back injury right away and after a few sessions I am almost fully recovered and back to the gym working with weights. He is super approachable, easy to talk to, very supportive, and encouraging. I also love he is very straight forward and holds you accountable for your recovery too. I totally recommend his services and his office staff is super nice too.
Hi Mar!Thank you so much for your review! We're so glad you had a positive experience and are recovering so well!!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Jeff Giulietti and amazing staff changed my life after a terrible accident that I was in. I never thought I would be able to have the mobility I have today, the strength I have regained in my body, and more energy that I have had in the past 4 years. Not to mention all the pains I was in. His professionalism, guidance, thoroughness has immensely helped me to feel more energetic and given me the drive to continue with the exercises he taught me. Thanks to all the amazing work he did, I did not have to have carpal tunnel surgery, like I was told. His intense work also gave me back close to 100% of my frozen shoulder. I highly recommend Eugene Physical Therapy. You will not be disappointed.
Carmelita, we are so happy to hear that therapy made such an impactful difference for you! Thank you for the review!
Fantastic experience: Staff at the downtown (Oak St) location were very welcoming and efficient, and even got me in a day early when I was in severe pain, which I was very grateful for (although it probably was sped up because I phoned them just to be sure they received the referral and that they accepted my insurance). Peter Schrey is an outstanding PT and I won't hesitate to recommend him and go back if I have any future injuries. He's excellent at explaining the science and facts behind pain, giving reassurance, relating to his patient, assessing your personal concerns (I had a past bad experience with a chiropractor, for instance) and making you feel safe and in good hands. I'm almost sad that I'm better now--I'll miss his patient explanations and chats about snowboarding!
Fantastic experience: I was very satisfied with my experience overall. Dr. Jeff did an excellent job with getting rid of my Vertigo. The staff was pleasant and that includes the ladies at the front desk. Again thank you Eugene PT and thank you Dr. Jeff. I highly recommend this establishment.
Thank you Edmond for your positive review! We are so glad you had a positive experience at our clinic!
Fantastic experience: My dad was recently sent to Jeff Giulietti from a surgeon at OHSU. Not only was he amazing and very knowledgeable, he completely resolved the Vestibular Nerve Disorder symptoms my dad had been having, which were physically debilitating. My dad was symptom free after TWO visit! And this was something he had been dealing with for years. We can’t thank Jeff enough.
Thank you for your kind words and positive review!
Fantastic experience: I've been to Eugene Physical Therapy to direct my recovery from a couple of injuries. On each occasion I was evaluated, assigned graded exercises, and sent home with instructions to complete the exercise routine 1-2 times daily until my next appointment. I stuck with the exercise program, and I got excellent results. I would certainly return to EPT at Oakway for my future physical therapy needs.
Fantastic experience: I have had TMJ for decades, and Jeff is fantastic. Making measurable improvement weekly. I had no idea how bad it was and how much it was affecting my neck and shoulders until things started improving. Every time I'm about to get frustrated that I'm not improving more quickly, he offers positive reinforcement. So grateful for his help!
Thank you for your positive review Gina! We're so glad that you're improving :)
Fantastic experience: I was referred to Jeff at Eugene Physical Therapy by my physician for mid back pain that had only gotten worse in the past few years. Jeff listened and worked with me to get my mobility back, build strength and got me out of my head. Jeff took me step by step to work on the areas of pain but went further to explain why we had to work all areas of the back and why each excercise was needed and encouraged me along the way. I feel like I now have my life back and I am so proud of myself, so very grateful for Jeff, and I am ready to train hard so I can complete my bucketlist that was put on hold 5 years ago. Thank you to Jeff and his staff for giving me back my active life!!!
Fantastic experience: I had terrible TMJ and Jeff got right to work with stretches that improved my symptoms but didn't leave me in pain. Highly reccomend!
Fantastic experience: Jeff and his staff were able to work with me on exercises to improve my partially torn rotator cuff in 3 places to the point of not having surgery to repair it. He and his staff were great to work with and listened to me to come up with the best exercise program possible. This is the second issue I have seen Jeff and his staff at Eugene Physical Therapy for and both times he made it possible for me to get back to doing the things I enjoy such as golf and doing things outdoors. I highly recommend Eugene Physical Therapy for any physical issues you are dealing with.
Fantastic experience: If you truly want to get better, Jeff is the one to see! He really knows what he's doing. He helped me resolve problems that I've had for years in just a couple of months. Jeff's very intense so you better be serious about wanting to get better. I am so much better now thanks to Jeff. The office staff is also great.
Fantastic experience: Love it! If you want to get better, Jeff knows his stuff and puts you on a systematic, realistic path, for recovery.; my favorite attribute about him is he holds you to the fire, which motivates me to stay on course. I find him awesome!
Thank you so much for your review! We appreciate it!
Fantastic experience: Jeff was amazing! Not only did he endure my snarky sense of humor he figured out what the problem was and helped me to a new, pain free path. Now I just need to keep doing the exercises!
Fantastic experience: Jeff helped me with back pain 20 years ago. Recently I came in with knee pain from early arthritis, faithfully did the exercises he prescribed, and I'm now 100% recovered and back to running. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Jeff and his team were great ... focused on getting me back on my feet and not billing for insurance. I appreciated his direct approach towards ensure I did the work.
Hi Jim!We're so glad you are happy with your experience here! Thanks for the review!
Fantastic experience: Love this place. Had two back-to-back injuries this year, Jeff took care of both of them with the utmost care and effectiveness. The workout regimen he put together for me has made the world of difference in my recovery and his in-house work was also spectacular. The rest of the providers were also incredibly kind and a great resource. Plus with a great administrative team, you can't go wrong heading here if you need help with recovery.
Fantastic experience: I've had numerous surgeries throughout my lifetime, due to this I have worked with several physical therapists. Jeff is no doubt the most knowledgeable of them all. I appreciate Jeff's work ethic, he gets straight to the point. This enables him to cover more ground in a 30 minute session than any other therapist(that I've worked with) will cover in an hour. I was on the brink of going back for my second shoulder surgery before I started seeing Jeff. He not only helped me identify the weaknesses in my shoulder that was causing pain, but helped me with a number of other issues unrelated to the original issue I saw him for. Lastly, Jeff really does care about his patients. I recently tore my hamstring, so I decided to contact Jeff via email regarding the level of activity I should be doing and when I should get back in the gym. Jeff was extremely responsive and even managed to squeeze me in the following morning for an appointment.
Fantastic experience: Scott has been one if the best physical therapist's I think I've ever had and I've quite a lot of them throughout the years. He actually pushes me to do things I didn't think I could do and is patient and kind when you feel like you just can't. The ladies up front are always very sweet as well and willing to make their busy schedule work with mine. I'll definitely be referring others to Eugene Physical Therapy!
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Jeff at Eugene Physical Therapy. Jeff took time to meet me at a swimming pool and teach exercises to help increase my strength. His expertise each session helped to expedite my recovery and teach me some helpful lifetime skills.
Hi Peggy! Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience!
Fantastic experience: Another healed patient. In July, I injured my achilles tendon while running. At the age of 66, the usual treatment for me was a challenge, as the usual rehabilitation strategies didn't seem to work. Jeff kept adapting the therapy until we finally found something that worked. After several months of slow and steady progress, I'm finally running again, working myself back to my previous routine. For nearly thirty years, I've seen Jeff for various injuries. What keeps me coming back is professionalism, his clear guidance and instructions, and his ability to shape the treatment to the injury.
Thank you for the review!
Negative experience: If you like the vibe of a hyper used car salesman, you will like Jeff. He is not a good match for older folks, and has a poor reputation among them. Christy was fine.
Fantastic experience: Jeff G at Eugene Physical Therapy literally saved me from chronic pain. I recommend EPT to everyone I know who suffers from pain and my son currently sees Jeff for his low back. He had him virtually pain free in a couple of days. I had chronic back pain, severe arm pain due to a damaged nerve, and unfinished PT post knee surgery when I started at EPT a few months ago and I'm 100% pain free now. He taught me the how/where/why of my issues and HOW to continue managing them myself. He's taught me a full body routine for strength and exercise - that works for me and my past injuries. He also identified and fixed my habitual fear (reaction to) of pain and how it was holding me back from getting better. As long as you're willing to do what is recommended for your recovery give them a call!
Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! I worked with two other PT offices prior to being introduced to Christy @ Eugene PT. She was a miracle worker! We spent nearly 9 months together working on my condition. The staff was warm and welcoming. Christy and her colleagues are professional and thoughtful. They truly have a gift at Eugene PT - highly recommend them!
Fantastic experience: Jeff and Nathan diagnosed and set into motion a recovery plan for my low back, lumbar and sacral regions the first session. With the literature, and exercise ball, supplied by EPT as well as continued access to Jeff and Nathan through e- mail my recovery is complete. With EPT guidance I now have a clear understanding of how to treat my own back to keep it healthy and strong.
Fantastic experience: My name is Norene McEntire. I was referred to Eugene Physical Therapy by my Doctor. Michael Young was my therapist. He was caring ,helpful and fun. He always sent me home with homework . I improved so much that I am no longer in therapy. Michael's exercises were just that I needed, I would like to add that the staff at the front desk were wonderful - always helpful and kind. Thank you- Norene McEntire. p.s. I have no idea why my son's name is on this review but I can't erase it.
Fantastic experience: My doctor recommended physical therapy after I hurt my back and was having severe lower back pain. When Rachael saw my file she got me in right away. Bless her heart because the pain was so intense that I was experiencing suicidal thoughts. I did everything Rachel guided me to do and after a few months the pain started to subside. I was able to completely heal an issue naturally that Rachael said most people have to have surgery for. I can not thank Rachael and Eugene Physical Therapy enough for being there for me when I REALLY needed help. Bless you all!
Fantastic experience: Have had a wonderful experience with the therapist and staff at Eugene Physical Therapy. After being sent there for what doctor thought was torn rotator cuff Jesse and Jeff both worked hard to find relief for my pain. When it was finally determined rotator cuff wasn’t torn Jesse worked with my neck and the pain was gone within 24 hours. I can’t recommend EPT with high enough praise.
Fantastic experience: I can only share positive things about Eugene Physical Therapy. Outstanding Customer Service! Jesse Klein always listens to find out what is really going on with my pain. I know that I can reach out to him and ask questions to get through any new issues while under his care because he always takes the time to listen to my concerns. While receiving treatment there have been a few times that I have had to change an appointment due to work issues. The front office is always professional, thoughtful, and willing to work with me when the work issues arise. I have always been met with a welcoming greeting and made to feel right at home when I check in for my appointment. Eugene Physical I Therapy highly recommend! Thank you Eugene Physical Therapy!
Fantastic experience: After my nasty car accident I had terrible back, shoulder, and neck pain. He worked me pretty hard and if you don’t do the homework you’re not going to get better. I expected months but his pinpoint exercises and precise methodology got me back to better than before in only three or four weeks. I highly recommend him.
Fantastic experience: I went in to see Jeff Giulietti with terrific sciatica pain. He said he could see fear in my eyes - fear of the pain I was experiencing! Over the next month and a half, and lots of visits, and a ton of exercises, I am finally almost 100% - just some pain upon rising in the morning. I am so grateful to Jeff and the exercises he chose to help me get rid of this terribly painful problem. He knew what my body needed and helped me get my life back. I am now on a maintenance schedule that Jeff gave me and will be diligent with doing the exercises on my own. Thank you!
Fantastic experience: I am so very grateful to Michael Young for how he has helped me recover and gain my strength after both hip and shoulder replacement surgeries. He really, really listens and that is such a huge thing to me. Like when I tell him a certain exercise doesn't seem to making much of a difference he'll find a great alternative and he is very keen and aware of what I can and can't do. He encourages but doesn't push, and I appreciate that, too. Plus he's funny and just a great human being. Now that I am so much improved I will really miss seeing him, and also their receptionist, Cindy, who is so nice and awesome at her job. Thank you EPT!
Fantastic experience: I worked with Michael following hip replacement surgery. Very professional, COVID careful, systematic in both assessment and gradual management of my recovery. I was impressed with his knowledge, ability to provide clear understandable messages, and consideration of my needs.
Fantastic experience: I saw Jesse Klein for chronic pain management and some nerve issues. He always had time to listen and switched up my exercises based off my feedback. Jesse truely helped me improve my life by teaching me tools to manage my pain myself without medication.
Fantastic experience: Excellent! I worked with Jesse Klein after injuring my achilles from overtraining. As an ultra-marathoner I was stoked to have a PT who understood how important it was to me to get back to running. He helped me understand all of his recommended exercises and why they were important, and explained every element of the process thoroughly. I felt like there was open communication and feedback, and his therapy style was super helpful and encouraging. I can't say enough good things about Eugene PT and Jesse specifically.
Negative experience: I have been thinking about leaving a review here for a long time and I’ve finally decided I should. I came to Eugene Physical Therapy after having an ACL reconstruction, so my review is specific to that type of PT. I started with a therapist that I had seen before for back problems and really liked (I’d give them 4 stars had it just been for that). He was awesome and got me a good start on my knee therapy. Unfortunately, he moved to the UO shortly after and I was transferred to a new therapist. He seemed pretty good too, but they really aren’t set up for this kind of therapy. I had torn my other ACL years before and gone elsewhere for that therapy and had healed and gotten back to playing sports quickly. But at Eugene PT, it was a much slower process. They don’t have access to a gym or weights so the exercises are all body weight or using elastic bands, you just can’t get the strength back using these like you can with access to a real gym. And then, my “new-guy” PT sent a code to my insurance saying I could live my daily life, and they stopped covering my visits. To be clear, I could definitely walk. But I couldn’t run! I needed to run after two toddlers on the daily and I regularly played soccer, both of which (3 years later now) I have never been able to do. I still cannot go for runs and I’ve obviously never been able to play soccer again. They cut me off before I was back to normal and didn’t give me the tools to continue the work on my own. I SERIOUSLY regret going here for my ACL therapy and wish so badly if just gone to the therapist I had used for my first knee (Courtsports). It’s ruined a big part of my life and it’s going to be a lot of work now to ever get it back, but you can bet I will definitely be going somewhere else for that help.
Fantastic experience: This is the second time I’ve been to Jeff, both times I’ve far exceeded what I thought I was going to be able to do. I wasn’t able to walk 1/2 mile without pain, in less than 2 weeks, I’m walking up to 3 miles, totally pain free!!! I recommend him to all.
Fantastic experience: A professional atmosphere with the compassion it takes to heal someone who is in pain. As a new patient, I appreciated having time slots saved for me in advance and the flexibility the clinic had in modifying appointment times when I had changes in my schedule. The physical therapists here are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate; if you’re wondering where to go: Eugene Physical Therapy!
Fantastic experience: Excellent friendly staff! Jesse Klein has helped me with with a couple of areas and I e I had very good results! Highly recommend
Fantastic experience: The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, I had no problems scheduling my initial appointment and they made it incredibly easy to plan the follow-ups too. The physical therapist I saw (Jesse) is clearly very well-experienced, and had me feeling much better within 3 weeks. I l strongly recommend this office!
Fantastic experience: The best!!! Very professional not the generic PT experience. EPT has saved me twice from misdiagnosis. Helped get me back on a horse after just 7 weeks after hamstring surgery. The office staff has always been on point and scheduling is flexible.
Fantastic experience: I was diagnosed with an Ulnar nerve entrapment and was informed I would need surgery to relieve the pain and numbness I've been feeling for months. Since deciding to see Jeff at EPT instead, all the pain has vanished with just a few simple exercises. Our whole family is having a better life because of Jeff and his team.
Fantastic experience: Throughout the years, I have had the opportunity to see Jeff for three different matters. In each case, he was extremely professional and was not only knowledgeable and focused on the problem at hand but also attentive to my overall health and well being. He took extra care in evaluating the issue, developing a program for improvement, and supervising my progress; he is extremely attentive to every aspect of movement and all types of problems. I also found Jeff to be honest and forthright. If you are willing to put in the work needed, I would highly recommend Jeff Giulietti. Physical therapy is a two-way street--Jeff gives 110%, and the patient, if willing to match his enthusiasm and work ethic, will be successful in the healing process. Jim Churchwell
Fantastic experience: I think EPT has great service at front desk and with the doctor. We are seeing Dr Michael Young for my 8 yr old daughter's ankle. He is outstanding with kids and explains things well to parents too. He is patient and really listens to our daughter and her parents. After reading some of the poor reviews on here, it is apperent to me most of the issues were not EPT's fault. It is unfortunate that people hurt a business with bad reviews for outside issues or things that were their own root cause. I highly recommend EPT!
Negative experience: Customer service was nice but very disorganized and so all of my appointments were lost. So they get one star because I can't even get an appointment.
Negative experience: Jeff Giulietti left me more injured than I was when I went to see him. He has the potential to be a good physical therapist as he is very knowledgeable about the human body, however his arrogance potentially puts an injured person in great danger. He believes that he knows better than you do about what does and doesn't hurt your body, and he actually mocked me and told me I was not in pain when I performed one of his prescribed exercises. Later, that same exercise caused my knee to swell up like a balloon and I had to go to my doctor's office to make sure I had not permanently injured it. When I informed him of how his exercise caused me greater pain and injury, he insisted that it was my fault and that I had a pre-existing condition on that knee. He had actually forgotten that I told him I had previously injured my other knee, not this one, so this is another instance where he did not adequately listen to what I was trying to communicate to him. At all times, his attitude was that he knew more than I did about my body, and that I should not correct his expertise, even if it meant injuring me further. I would warn people not to see him for any reason. I have since worked with another physical therapist who easily resolved my issue with only a couple of sessions and was respectful and did not belittle me.
Fantastic experience: My back pain was worsening over the course of about a month. After just 3 visits, I went from not being able to tie my shoes, to full recovery. Not only did Jeff solve the problem, he gave me info to prevent a recurrence and stretches so I can be responsible and take care of my own back.(a core principle.) The front desk is top rate; helpful and courteous. I highly recommend!!
Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough how happy I am to have been treated by Jeff Giulietti. Over a year ago I "did something" to my shoulder. My PCP sent me to physical therapy (different clinic)and I faithfully went 2-3 times per week for 3+ months. At the end of my time there, when I was deemed "as good as I was going to get" I felt maybe 20% improved. While that therapist was very nice, he did not find the problem. His solution was to use my other arm for things that hurt my shoulder. I returned to my PCP and was sent to an orthopedic surgeon. Was told that I had a frozen shoulder and because of my type 1 diabetes, it was almost impossible to be relieved of the problem. She told me I could try PT again if I wanted to. I did, but did not have high hopes. Within the first half hour of the first appointment with Jeff, he said the issue started with my upper back, so he worked there first. It has been a few days over 2 weeks since that first appointment and the difference is unbelievable! The pain in my shoulder is drastically improved, movement is close to 100%. I would return to Eugene Physical Therapy, and specifically Jeff with any other physical therapy needs without hesitation.
Fantastic experience: Eugene physical therapy is awesome. I have been seeing Christy Karcher, physical therapist, and she is a gem in the Eugene community. She has over 30 years experience and her vast knowledge of myriad health issues is impressive. Best of all, she is a warm, caring person and it is evident that she enjoys her job and helping her patients. Cindy, the receptionist at the Oak st location, is very welcoming and makes me feel right at home when I check in. I love it here and highly recommend this place to others.
Negative experience: Customer Service on the phone was horrible. I called to reschedule an appointment, she asked if a day would work for me and i gave a time that would work for me and her response was just "No". Then the rest of the time on the phone she just seemed like I was the biggest waste of time. I usually don't write reviews and actually this is my first one. I felt like I had to post something because I am the customer and I was trying to make a time to come in but now I just feel like I don't want to go in there at all. Its just unfortunate.
Negative experience: I called trying to set up an appointment here and had two very different experiences. The first woman I spoke to was very polite, courteous and offered to run my insurance to see if it was covered. I called back in two hours to check to see if I was cleared, and I was greeted by a very aggressive woman named Shelly who yelled at me about them being short staffed when I asked if I had been cleared. First woman was very polite, but the second woman I talked to really put me off going there if that is how potential new patients are treated.
