Fantastic experience: I don't think I can find the words to express my gratitude and recommendation for Tensegrity. From the first phone call I was treated as an individual with kindness. This is the first place I have gone for my chronic pain where I felt like I was treated like a person. When I called to schedule the phone was quickly answered by Katie. I explained my condition and she really listened and really seemed to care. She explained to me the process and recommended I get a referral from my PCP to make sure insurance covered. They were SO empathetic and kind. Tensegrity got back to me the same day my PCP referred me. Brisa called, expressed empathy for my condition and got me in within the week. Even better, she called back to tell me an opening was available with a different PT who specialized in my condition after a cancelation! She just thought of me!!! (I cried in line at the grocery store out of gratitude) I've been working with Emily for PT who is so kind, lovely and knowledgeable. Her care is holistic with massage, strength and stretching. The PT at home exercises don't even feel like a chore. I always arrive a little glum and painful then leave feeling better. Tensegrity is the first place where I felt heard. Their empathy alone has healed a part of me. Emily's care has helped me feel like I have some control of my chronic pain. I am so, so grateful for the care I have received at all ends and recommend them highly!! Small aside: For those that don't like traveling into Eugene for parking reasons the parking is very accessible.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough positive things about Tensegrity. They have been my go-to place across 10 years and varying needs - recovery from injuries from athletic pursuits, dealing with some chronic pain and weakness issues arising for a few different reasons. I appreciate their foundational approach and hands-on care, not just assessing, giving exercises and hope it works out (which is what I got at a couple other places). Also, they modified their approach when my body did not respond to some customary manipulation approaches. The PTs, strength and conditioning coaches, massage therapists, and front office have worked on every aspect of my needs to assess & address pain, injury or dysfunction, and recovery or more functional and improved movement trajectories. I have seen a few of their PTs over the years and appreciate how skilled they all are, and the way they consult each other sometimes. They also seem to be constantly learning the latest in good medical care to benefit their patients and I like their core foundation of how the body functions. Sometimes a staff person moves on and I'm sad, and then amazed at how skilled and wonderful the next staff person is. They have a great thing going here, and have for years. I also appreciate their great scheduling and billing practices; great front office staff. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: After taking weeks to get in to see someone I was canceled on a few hours before my first appointment. I found this interesting since their own cancellation policy requires 24-hour cancellation notice or you have to pay a huge fee out of pocket. Be prepared for their do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do cancel policy's. And the office staff were curt when I said I wouldn't be rescheduling at this time.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Tensegrity was far more than satisfactory. I had sustained a back injury on top of some chronic issues and initial pain was intense. After initial consultation, my sessions were paired: each visit I met with a licensed therapist (Luke Hogle, in my case) and a strength and conditioning coach (Robert Barrett). Both were knowledgeable, patient and amazing. I went nearly weekly and did my homework diligently and I reached the end of treatment, not only healed from my injury, but equipped with knowledge and exercises to help me continue to strengthen weaknesses. Robert developed a personalized workout plan (with reminder links to exercises) - Wow! And, I guess, I'd be leaving out the calm and competence of the front-of-the house folks if I didn't mention how thoughtful they are and how easy they make it for patients.

Fantastic experience: A great place to go when you need PT. I have worked with 2 different therapists for different issues I had. I then brought my 11 year old son in to look at a hip issue. I was impressed with the way they all worked together to help diagnose and provide treatment. A great place to go when your body needs fixing. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I have been treating here for a left ACL repair and meniscus repair. They are professional, kind, and knowledgeable, and the scheduling staff is easy to work with. I have treated with other physical therapists in the past, and this is by far the best place. There is a lot of space, lots of great equipment, and best of all, great expertise and patience by the physical therapist and trainer.

Fantastic experience: Best in Eugene by far. As a rock climber with 15+ years of injuries big and small, I can say I've seen more PTs than most. They helped me with a shoulder injury when no-one else had made any progress, with great manual therapy, scientific, data-driven testing tools, and great strength coaching.

Fantastic experience: I'm a long-distance runner and have been seeing Sean for years and it has always been fantastic. At this point, I'm able to manage my old injuries on my own. New stuff clears up within a few visits. Tensegrity has made me stronger and much less prone to injury. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Had knee pain training for a marathon. The team at Tensegrity were awesome to help me understand why that was happening and how to correct it. After a few weeks of strengthening exercises my knee feels great and I’ve even been able to reduce my time!

When I go in, the evaluation of whatever condition I have is quick, to the point and correct. They also listen to what my problem is and come up with solutions via their experience, instruments and analysis that always keep me moving and playing at my best in the shortest period of time. Fantastic experience: I've had such a wonderful experience with the team at Tensegrity. They helped me get out of pain cycles when another physical therapist couldn't. It's incredibly valuable to have just about anything you need under one roof. Manual therapy, massage therapy, cupping, strength training in a gym-like setting, pelvic floor experts, and more. Not to mention the incredible technology available in their facility! Having my gait analyzed by a computer was an enlightening experience. All these services are provided by caring, knowledgeable professionals who communicate and work together to figure out the best course of treatment for each individual. The admin team is great too, always friendly and helpful. It's a special place!

Fantastic experience: I had very positive experiences with some PTs and front office staff who are friendly and welcoming. I have started going here when Nancy Cave was working as a PT and she introduced me to Kazuko. Nancy and Kazuko have changed my life and I have been very lucky to work with Kazuko for about 7 years now. Kazuko is knowledgeable, smart, generous and kind. It has been life-changing to know her and I doubt I will ever find anyone who has all the skills and knowledge that Kazuko has.

Negative experience: I would have been fine to leave a 3 star review for the PT I received, but my experience with their main office and billing is causing me to leave a 1. I was a patient at Tensegrity in the Spring of 2021. I left there practice after receiving care that was sub-par. I was told that the manual manipulation for my chronic shoulder and back pain would take a long time for healing to occur. Every exercise and recommendation that I was given exacerbated the problem. I became so unsatisfied that I decided to seek care elsewhere. After just a few months at the new location, I was looked at holistically and the root of the problem was not at all what the PT at Tensegrity had diagnosed. I called and cancelled all my appointments with Tensegrity before starting at the new clinic. Months later, I was called from a collection company to pay for 4 missed appointments. I had already been an active patient at a new clinic and had already cancelled with Tensegrity. I tried everything I could to dispute it, even requesting Tensegrity re-call it from the collection agency because I was able to prove that I was at a new clinic. I even have records showing that Tensegrity cancelled some of the appointments I had asked them to, but failed to do ALL. I even attempted to contact the owner, without being given a response. Now I am forced to pay for missed appointment fees that were because of their front desk error. I have nothing positive to say about this experiencing especially how I was treated by their billing department when I addressed this issue. Mistakes happen, but when I showed them that I had very clearly cancelled and then transferred to a new clinic, they were still unwilling to work with me. I will not recommend this place to anyone in the future.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to the Tensegrity offices off and on for several years due to various injuries. The administrative staff have always been cheerful, helpful, and patient. I'm grateful for their assistance. I've seen 4 different PTs over the years and every single one of them have been compassionate, knowledgeable, and committed to helping me recover from the variety of injuries I've had. It literally takes a team of people to keep me up and running these days and I'm thankful that they're on that team.

Fantastic experience: The Tensegrity staff are so friendly and capable! I was a regular during my pregnancy and they really helped with my sciatica and pelvic floor woes. They have also treated my shoulder issues - they are the BEST!

Fantastic experience: This is one of my favorite offices I have been to. I have been coming to Tensegrity for a little over a year now. I originally came for a shoulder injury, but I kept coming to improve other body movements once my shoulder healed because they did such a good job. The staff is amazing and I always look forward to my visits. Everyone is so friendly and they genuinely care about you and your health and life. My visits are always full of helpful tips to improve the function of my body as well as a lot of laughs. My body has never felt so strong; they really have taught me how to think about my movements and what muscles I should focus on to keep my body safe.

With a balance of manual therapy, strength training, and cupping from the wonderful massage therapists, I have not dealt with any issues since. I can’t thank the Tensegrity team enough.

Fantastic experience: Tensegrity has really helped me with a couple chronic injuries. Everyone is very knowledgable, skilled, and kind. I like their holistic approach and the resources they have their (they have many therapists who are have different specialities, so going to Tensegrity means drawing from their collective skill sets and specialities).

Fantastic experience: Fantastic physical therapy!!! I had bulging discs in my neck for 4 months that were increasingly more painful, and causing searing nerve pain, as well as numbness in my arm and fingertips. I tried another PT office and symptoms just got worse before they closed due to Covid-19... my doctor recommended surgery... and then some friends recommended Tensegrity. I can't say enough about how much PT at Tensegrity helped me!! In just 6 weeks Luke H. helped me manage my inflammation and pain before gradually introducing strength training. He was patient, easy going, skilled and professional. I just had a surgical consult and was told I don't need surgery after all!! Thank you so much to the staff for seeing patients through this Covid-19 craziness, but most of all, a huge shout out to Luke for his expertise and laid-back delivery. I highly recommend Luke and Tensegrity. :)

Fantastic experience: I’ve been visiting various chiropractors on a semi-monthly basis for about 15 years for low back pain, covering a wide array of treatment types, most of them including massage as well. I work at a computer all day, and look at my phone in the evenings, as many Americans do. Adjustments helped for a day or two and then slipped right back into pain. I’ve been visiting Tensegrity for about 1 year and have seen more improvement of my pain, strengthening of my muscles, and knowledge of how my body operates than I have in the last 15 years. I started seeing the Tensegrity folks with chronic, constant low back and hip pain, to the point where it impacted my sleep and leisure time. The decrease I have seen in my pain has been amazing. My very first visit, I walked in and told my Physical Therapist, Sean Dorman, where my issue was, he then found 6 other trigger points, nowhere near my low back, and said so these also hurt right? Spot on. I hadn’t even realized something in my neck was hurting. He then explained that when one spot is out way over here, it has impacts on these 10 things and makes them compensate. We also did a pretty cool computerized gait analysis to see how my walking was to get a baseline of how hard each foot steps and where the pressure from each part of the foot was applied (spoiler alert, it was not balanced). From there, I started adding in Strength Training and Massage and see a variety of Tensegrity magicians now. All of the therapists here want to help solve your problem, even if they are not working on your case directly. The team collaborates to provide the most knowledge to each other and the patients that they can. Each body is unique, so each treatment is going to be unique. But these people are here to help you figure out what’s hurting and why, and then tailor a plan to help you fix it. Self-care at home is a huge element of this too people. We can’t go to a doctor and get a recommendation to solve our problem and then not do the work at home. Never in my life would a Physical Therapy place come to mind when thinking about solving my back pain. I always thought PT was for someone who had a serious injury and they just needed to get back on their feet. Not the case at all. As my pal Armando called it, Pre-hab, is teaching you how to prevent injuries and teach your muscles how to work properly, so the wrong muscles aren’t compensating and causing pain. They will talk you through everything they are doing, and explain in scientific and laymen detail for you so that you can play a helpful role in your own treatment. Very appreciative to the Tensegrity team for all of their knowledge sharing and energy!

Fantastic experience: Tensegrity has a highly competent staff and they have helped me with my issues, especially therapist Sean Dorman, who is knowledgable, skilled, and relentless (in a good way) and figuring out the issue and developing a strategy to address it in the best way.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Tensegrity highly enough! I see Luke for leg and back pain; Kellie for my pelvic floor; and Dr. Bove for dry needling to reduce pain and tightness. Over the years, I've seen more than a dozen PTs. Kellie and Luke have all the others beat hands down. They are both strong, intuitive, and gifted. I'm no longer on pain meds, which is my most tangible accomplishment. I'm also walking further and faster than I'd anticipated, after three leg/ankle surgeries. Dr. Bove is also a very talented practitioner. He's very kind, talented, and responsive to input. Finally, I also work with Liam to learn and practice exercises to strengthen weak muscles. He's great: patient, good natured, and informative. I've had such a positive experience here that I brought in my daughter to explore rib pain her pediatrician was unable to explain. She's worked with both Jayna and Liam who are both excellent with young ones. They are both unflappable, fun, and very talented. I'm not a cyclist, but I was excited to see that they offer bike fittings. I referred my husband who was pleased that the process was so thorough and seamless. Scheduling is easy and the folks in the front office are friendly and helpful. Parking is available, so no need to pay for street parking.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommended Tensegrity to everybody! I was in a MVA almost two years ago and have been extremely mislead with the correct steps to take for my healing process. I’ve only been going to Tensegrity for a month now and already feel a million times more relieved that I have in the last year and a half. Jayna, Liam and Armando are exceptionally impressive with their knowledge and training abilities. I don’t know what I would do with out you guys!

Fantastic experience: I manage the clinic but I am also a patient. I am 27 weeks pregnant and have been seeing Holly for my lower back and belly pain and she has been amazing!! The relief I feel after a session is so wonderful I really wish I could have PT every day. I highly encourage any pregnant lady to see out PT for your body pain, I really didn't realize how much the pain was effecting my every mood and movement until it wasn't as much of an issue anymore

Fantastic experience: I love working for this company. Each PT provides a unique perspective and approach to their patients. They are warm, welcoming and try very hard to empower and educate their patients to lead healthier and stronger lives. The beauty of this place is if you don't like the approach of one person, just tell us up front what worked or didn't work, we are happy to find someone who fits your personality or needs. Its truly a team and they all work together well. I have also been a patient, working with multiple providers I have learned and grown so much in my own understanding of my body and how to manage pain and strengthen. Tensegrity provides a unique experience, specialized equipment and great supportive staff.

Fantastic experience: I have been seen several times for issues with my pelvic floor. This is a sensitive and delicate issue for me and it has been handled professionally and gently. I have been very impressed with the depth of knowledge of my therapist and she has been forthcoming with home exercises and stretches. I have had wonderful support from the reception staff with insurance billing, scheduling and rescheduling! (As a new mom this happens frequently and they are so understanding!)

Negative experience: I recently went in for a mildly jammed foot. I’m a dancer and know my body well. I pointed to exactly where it was, and told Holly, “this is the one issue I want to solve.” She prodded at my foot and told me it wasn’t jammed. Weeks later, I’m still dancing on a jammed foot, and the cascade of hip and knee pain as a result is getting worse. Not to mention I spent $175 and didn’t resolve the one problem I had. I have worked with Sean before and he has had helpful insights. He has more of a holistic approach. However, the physical therapy I’ve recieved there feels very piecemeal. All about my body parts rather than treating my body as a whole. I’ve also had physical therapists touch my body in ways that didn’t feel good without even asking for feedback. My recent experience was infuriating. I paid and went in for one issue, only to be prodded at and told it’s not real. Holly denied my very real jammed foot. And as a result I spent money and spent more time dancing in pain and creating asymmetries in my body. I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: First came here for strength training to improve my running. I was thrilled to find indoor bike parking! Very large, open space with excellent equipment and easy parking. Kimber Mattox is a superb trainer. Next, I got a good deal through Runhub NW to get my VO2 and gait tested at tensegrity. Cooper was the therapist who conducted my testing. The testing was very thorough and he explained everything very well. He really put me at ease for what could have been a very stressful experience. I was completely satisfied with my experience here. The front desk receptionist Margaret was very helpful, friendly and polite when setting me up for a new appointment. She had come in to work unexpectedly to cover for a sick employee and was very professional and calming under pressure. I am going to choose Tensegrity as my PT go to place-I like the atmosphere and the staff very much.

Negative experience: Despite the professional appearance of their facilities, neither receptionist at either location knew what a reformer was, which was surprising. My current employment and insurance status are related to my recovery from spinal surgery. I received a rather snobbish reaction when I revealed I had OHP. Not exactly a reaction or tone one would expect from any service offering "therapy" or a helping profession.

Negative experience: I originally went to Tensegrity because of all the positive reviews and recommendations. However, while the clinic has many fancy instruments, I was extremely disappointed by the therapists. My particular therapist took multiple visits to assess the problem and more than a month to provide me with at home exercises. At each visit, my therapist did not seem prepared and thus wasted much of my time and money. I switched to another clinic and within a week I was getting home exercises and feeling better. Overall, despite previous positive reviews, I was very disappointed in my experience at Tensegrity.
