Fantastic experience: Melanie is a magician. She gave me exercises that I do every morning before I get out of bed. Even after my first visit my chronic hip pain almost went completely away. Now 5 months later I spend 5 minutes a day doing simple somatic exercises which has allowed me to start running again. My hip pain was so severe before my first visit that I had a hard time walking. If you do the exercises she recommends I am sure you will see improvements!

Fantastic experience: Melanie is helping me with several areas of chronic muscle stiffness & tightness, after many yrs. of high level activity, & a long recovery from GBS (over 25 yrs. ago). She takes a different approach than conventional PT's I've worked with in the past- & her technique makes sense. Melanie is encouraging, patient, & very knowledgeable about the human body, & what it's been through- she has a gift indeed! I look forward to more visits to improve my body- to continue to be as active as I was 45 yrs. ago.

Fantastic experience: I didn't even realize how much pain my legs were in until i came in for a visit. Within the first visit Melanie had offered a ton of information as to the problem with my foot, and body mechanics, that i was actually hopeful that i might be able to hike/walk longer than 3 miles without hours of pain afterward. Now after 3 visits, and, yes, doing my exercises at home, im seeing huge improvements...no more aching pain in my legs. My foot has better flexibility and way less pain. I can really see a light at the end of this painful tunnel. Her explanations along with careful, and healing touch has made me less fearful and able to address my issues with chronic pain. Now, 3 miles with my dogs is easy...the future is looking so much better now that i can address these poor body mechanics with better, hopeful strides.

Fantastic experience: I booked the 25 minute consultation with Melanie. It was fantastic! She knew right away about some misalignments in my body. And offered a few tips on working with it. I can imagine working with her in more depth would be really beneficial and create long-term sustainability in my body. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Melanie is thorough, kind, warm, and went out of her way to make sure I got the best value for the time I had scheduled. Her initial consult told me more about my body than several other physical therapists over years of seeing them. She included many resources for me to follow up on before my next visit. I finally feel like I have hope to correcting my imbalances as I have started practicing the exercises this week and already feel some relief.

Fantastic experience: After suffering a neck injury just over three years ago and trying everything I could think of (massage, acupuncture, chiropractic care and PT with another provider), I was almost ready to give up and go with the steroid shots as recommended by my doctor (the last step before surgery) based on my X-ray results. At the suggestion of my massage therapist/acupuncturist - I decided to meet with Dr. Carlone before going that route. After only one appointment, I already have significant range of motion that I have been struggling with for over three years, and for the first time since I can remember - I don't have any pain. I have not only been relieved of my pain - I have also learned so much from Dr. Carlone about how to listen to my body and work WITH it to prevent the stress/tension that I have carried around for so long. Dr. Carlone is SO knowledgeable, takes her time, and treats the whole body - not just the point of pain. She even gave me suggestions on how to modify my work set up to avoid further stress on my body as well as suggestions on modifications to my pillow set up to help with my sleep. My only regret is not visiting her sooner. If you're dealing with chronic pain - know that there is another option besides steroids and surgery!

Fantastic experience: For years I’ve struggled with back pain to no avail and in one session with Dr. Carlone my pain dissipated and my understanding of the root problem deepened. I’ve seen multiple practitioners in the past who provided temporary relief, but she took the time to educate and provide resources to help me manage and prevent my pain long term. Fantastic experience: As my previous provider was no longer available I searched out somewhere to get a new set of orthotics. Before I had them I was falling frequently as my balance was impaired by my high arches. I made an appt with Align Renew Thrive Physical Therapy. I couldn't have been more pleased. I was welcomed, the questions I answered were relevant in ways I hadn't even considered. I had a thorough exam and had impressions done for my new orthotics. The visit was more comprehensive than I could imagine, ruling out neurological issues for my instability. The provider has an holistic approach, drawing on much more than an impression to cast. I highly recommend them for your orthotic needs.

Fantastic experience: My first client visit with Dr Melanie Carlone was outstanding and amazingly thorough and detail oriented in her physical assessment. Evaluating my gate and posture with a video and then a full neurological exam and assessment of structural regions was done. She was able to focus in on why I was having pain due to an old injury and how my body had been trying to compensate for years. The best part was after her careful evaluation, she showed me what exercises I could do to unravel the damage I had been causing to myself for a long time. I could feel the release of a number of muscles that were causing me discomfort before my appointment. Melanie is a true healer and a very talented and intuitive clinical professional. Fantastic experience: Full disclosure I have worked for Dr Carlone, however, she is awesome. I've seen her for an arm issue and a knee issue that is really more of a full body issue. She gets all of your parts working in concert again. I don't have insurance but she is so worth the cash outlay. I also had four members of my immediate family see her while I was working for her.

Fantastic experience: Melanie is a master with the feet. I have had several bouts of plantar fasciitis- the first time it took 3 years to fix it because I didn’t have Melanie working with me. Now I see her any time I have foot pain and it heals quickly. The orthotics keep my feet healthy.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful and healing woman. So in tune with what your body and soul needs. At my first visit with Dr Carlone I told her about my current 3 week long headache. She was very sympathetic and she also gave me some great insight. After working on my body I went home that evening feeling much better and haven’t had a headache since! Fantastic experience: I am 65 and have had chronic pain for a coupe of years. I tried it all: Pilates, Rolfing, physical therapy, deep tissue massage, myofascial release therapy, chiropractic. Periodically I would be incapacitated due to lower back pain and bursitis. I was afraid to do any exercise because it always seemed to set off the pain syndrome. Fantastic experience: I saw Melanie from a referral by a new Podiatrist I saw. I had 3 years ago a foot surgery that ended up with a bone infection and then hardware removal in my big toe. My big to was left weak, unstable and unable to do it's job. Since then I have had pain constantly in my foot, sometimes waking me up at night.previously. Melanie was the first person who understood what I was trying to explain about toe, my foot, and the way my body mechanics felt. I told her I felt like I had lost my "kick stand" (big toe). She listened!! Then she watched carefully and observed. She saw exactly what I was saying and what I needed. I've had my orthotics for 5 days and I am pain free when I walk!! My pain was so bad in my foot prior to these orthotics that I couldn't do any weight bearing exercising. Thanks to Melanie, I no longer plan my day around how long I can stand, what I can and can't do for exercise. And for me, currently fightying breast cancer, Melanie is so kind, comapassionate and full of other medical and nutritional information as well. Fantastic experience: When I came to see Dr. Carlone I was in pain. Plantar fasciitis had made it difficult for me to to maintain a normal level of activity. Getting up to go to the bathroom at night was a near impossibility. In her practice, Dr. Carlone brings a deep knowledge of human movement and kinesthetics, combined with an amazing skill at understanding her client's body mechanics, and the ability to provide physical therapy and orthotic support. This combination of approach, along with sessions with her bodywork partner, Lauren Bailey, relieved me of my pain and permitted me to get back to the active lifestyle I was accustomed to. I learned how to maintain the progress through exercise and through the coaching I received on proper posture and movement. If you are in pain and really need to make a physical transformation in your life, I highly recommend Dr. Carlone. Her work truly made a difference for me.

Fantastic experience: It's been three days since my assessment and the casting of my orthotic insert. I learned so much from Melanie in that assessment and from the workbook she provided and that gives me much to work on while I wait for the insert to arrive. Melanie is a natural teacher and provides a great deal of information along with the assessment, she is able to convey complex ideas clearly, simply and concisely both in session and in writing in her workbook, which allows the patient to learn with ease and focus. I'm looking forward to seeing the benefits of the practice and to getting the added support from the inserts, carefully cast by Melanie after a complete examination of my posture and gait including video capture of my walking which was very educational to see. What she offers is much more than just a custom insert, and I recommend her services highly.

Fantastic experience: Amazing. Melanie was the first person to realize that I was getting bunions and having knee pain all because I did not have the support that my body needed in my shoe. She demonstrated how my foot/arch was collapsing and causing me so many problems! I work in a fast paced environment, where I am on my feet for hours on end; now I am able to continue to work at my job and not go home to throbbing feet and knees! Would always recommend!

Fantastic experience: I purchased custom orthotics 3 months ago, and was fitted by Melanie of Custom Orthotic Solutions. From the moment I walked into her office, I felt she really cared about my outcome and is passionate about helping people along their healing journey. I had a condition called Morton's Neurmoa, which is an inflamed nerve in my foot. It came on suddenly July 2016, and when I saw Melanie I had been dealing with it for 6 months. My foot was painful and swollen and every day was a struggle to get through, I really didn't have alot of hope. I had seen a podiatrist, accupuncturist, chiropractor, and massage therapist. All of them were helpful but none gave lasting relief. I was feeling like I would need to get used to walking in pain, and try to be grateful for everything else that was good in my life. Melanie put me at ease by sharing her story with me of her foot issues and how she is much better now. I decided to try the orthotics, and she did the mold of my foot. Prior to that she had me walk on a treadmill and did videos so I could see how I was walking and gave me tips to improve my gait. That was so helpful! None of the professionals I had seen before offered that. In a few weeks the orthotics arrived and she fit them for me, taking great care to listen to me and make the needed adjustments. We also discussed inflammation and she suggested some supplements that were very helpful too, turmeric and black pepper combined. I went to our local nutrition store and they guided me about amounts to use and which to buy, and agreed she was right on the mark with that suggestion. The combination of the orthotics and the supplements turned things around for me within 1 month. It is 3 months later now and I no longer get out of bed in the morning having my first step be painful, and the tone set for the rest of the day. I am now taking 30 - 40 minute walks, which I had not done in 8 months, and that is after completing my work day which I can be on my feet a fair amount of. I am so jazzed about this, grateful for every pain free step! If you have foot pain I highly recommend having a consult with Melanie, she will give you an honest answer of whether she feels she can help you or not.
