At Axis Physical Therapy & Rehab., Inc., we provide efficient, hands-on care for a variety of ailments. Appointments last between 30 and 60 minutes and are conducted by a highly qualified physical therapy specialist. All of our staff have been extensively educated in treating both bio-mechanical and neuromuscular issues effectively.
We offer a wide range of physical therapy treatments, including managing musculoskeletal problems, aiding people in recovering from surgery and injuries, providing exercises tailored to particular conditions, treating those who have been in motor vehicle accidents, using the most up-to-date manual therapy techniques, and managing chronic pain.
Telehealth appointments are available for both our existing and new Physical Therapy patients. These sessions involve video conferencing with your therapist, giving you a chance to check in, talk about any continuing symptoms, and create a home self-care and exercise plan. Additionally, it is an excellent way to stay connected with your healthcare team during this time of social distancing.

At first, I was skeptical about getting treatment for urinary incontinence, thinking that surgery was the only way to solve the problem. To my amazement, I have seen significant progress and am now finishing the program. I am delighted to say that I will be doing the exercises I learned at Axis regularly to keep up my results. The staff at Axis were always warm and welcoming and I actually enjoyed my time there.
I have been incredibly fortunate to experience a second remarkable healing through craniosacral therapy at Axis. After just six weeks, I am now free of pain. Leigh Ann Turner did an outstanding job and she may say "no credit, no blame", but I disagree. I would rate Axis an incredible ten out of five stars! - AH
I will never go to any other physical therapy office, as the staff is exceptional and the therapy is personalized. I have seen a lot of improvement in my condition due to the efforts of Leigh Ann and Ellie. Additionally, the administrative staff is also great.
As an Occupational Therapist, I have had the pleasure of working with many Physical Therapists throughout my career and have also been a patient of PT services multiple times. This has allowed me to distinguish between good and not-so-good PTs and I can confidently say that Axis is the best. Negative experience: Very unprofessional! They tried to do a very personal medical review in the middle of a gym. There was no privacy and the staff was rude and condescending.
Negative experience: Waited six months to be seen. When they reached out to me via call the number came up as gental dental rather than Axis physical therapy. I know this now because when I reached back out to them it came up as gental dental rather than axis. I didn't answer originally because I don't answer calls with numbers and places I'm not familiar with. Missed my appointment 100 percent my fault but had no mercy in letting me be seen again. After going to the doctor getting a referral being patient with them as they moved buildings waiting six months to be seen they drop me. I am need of help and now have to start all over again with another referral. I'm a stay at home mom making these appointments and scheduled child care is a lot. Also having to pay someone to watch my kid. Not many places accept my insurance. And I'm left high and dry. I really just need help and was excited to finally have access to it after months of waiting but am extremely turned off by the lack of compassion the receptionist expressed to me.
First of all I'm sorry that this didn't go as you had hoped. The caller ID issue is a recent problem, and I have contacted our phone provider (Comcast) but haven't gotten a clear answer to why the wrong caller ID shows for some phones. I also apologize for the delay in being able to set appointments. In February our previous location flooded. It took a few months to get a new location operational.No shows present a large challenge for our business, especially for the first appointment. Fantastic experience: I’ve had chronic neck, foot and ankle, hip and back issues from multiple injuries over the years. I’ve seen probably 8 or 9 different physical therapists, as well as a few chiropractors, with little to no relief. Kimberly is the first person that I feel truly assessed my conditions and could find me a pathway to healing all of these accumulative issues. I worked with Kimberly and two of her PTA’s, Stacy and Leigh Ann. These 3 ladies helped me build a foundation of strength and stability. Kimberly is incredibly knowledgeable and a delightful conversationalist. She is very aware of common misconceptions with health and healing and is great about giving you accurate information. She explained my condition to me better than anyone has and pin pointed my major problems. She’s also great at explaining how the body works and how to do the exercises she gives the most effectively. She has a lot of experience with feet and ankle injuries, so I highly recommend her for that as well. My pain is greatly reduced and I’m feeling confident that I can start doing physical tasks I haven’t done in years. I spent almost a year with Axis and I’m wildly impressed with the office staff as well as the PTs. Very healthy mentalities across the board. I never had to “prove” I had pain or issues, either. They have amazing resources for chronic pain and healing. Leigh Ann is an incredibly warm, positive individual and touches on more holistic/ naturopathic remedies, which I find a lot of success with over western medicine practices. Stacy is super practical and intuitive, and really great at making sure you’re doing effective exercises and using the proper muscles needed to safely complete an exercise.The team definitely worked hard to give me the best wraparound care possible. Honestly I have nothing bad to report. Incredible quality of care and I recommend them to anyone who needs a proper physical therapist.

Fantastic experience: Elly is an amazing physical therapist. After seeing her for just a few weeks my quality of life changed dramatically. I had a kidney infection and sepsis in conjunction with PFD. I had to cut down my work load from 1 full time and 2 part time jobs to barely able to keep 1 part time job. I was also training in martial arts and doing strength training prior to these issues. My life was deteriorating and I felt completely helpless. Of course I followed all the directions given to me by my PCP and urologist but wasn’t getting good results. Once I started seeing Elly I was able to regain my life. I have now resumed all activities. I am so pleased and grateful to have received such great care, instruction and support! I was apprehensive at best starting the physical therapy. Now I am a firm believer that if you do the work you can see dramatic change. I highly recommend Axis Physical Therapy. If you can get in with Elly you are sure to have amazing results!

Fantastic experience: Great learning experience, Kim, and Leighann made my appointments well rounded with their own style of body mechanics. They had answers for every question I asked, and I had a lot of them. Leighann offered water at the perfect temperature added with great hospitality and insight on different healing methods that I found beyond interesting along with diagrams to study or links to follow up on. Kim helped me understand the working order of the body and explained things in a way that made sense to me, she is very knowledgeable and thorough. The office staff was wonderful aswell and sent out the appointment reminders which are very helpful. Awesome place to have some pain!

Negative experience: Unfortunately I had called and left two messages and called again today trying to set up for More Physical Therapy since I'm a returning patient. The receptionist unfortunately kept interrupting me when I was trying to let her know I had pacificsource and didn't listen when I gave her my birth date and then ask later for it. She had all that information in front of her but refuse to look it up herself. Acting as though I was being rude only when she was interrupting me when I was trying to answer her question so she hung up on me. I called back and apologize for our inability to communicate and then tried to give her the information again. Unfortunately she was still irritated and treated me very rudely. I loved my physical therapist that I saw there and I'm sad now that I am no longer going to be able to see her because of their receptionist and her rude Behavior to customers. I was very clear when I called that I had left two Prior messages with my information but have not heard back yet. I am disappointed that I made an effort and she was not helpful at all or nice. I would have referred this place before today incident. I will just go to a closer more convenient location and they can get the financial support instead. This just shows you many businesses do actually treat you differently if you are on the Oregon Health Plan.

I think this is a testament to our team and the quality therapy services we strive to provide every patient. I read your review, then spoke with our staff to help understand the issue that you described in your post in an effort to explore opportunities for improvement.After reviewing our voicemail records, I've confirmed that you left two prior messages. One message was left on 7/15 after 12 noon and one on 7/16 around 10:30am. Our records confirm that our staff spoke with you on the phone on 7/16, the same day of the second call and one business day following your first message. While we do our best to return phone calls the same day, this is not always possible, and our pattern is to reply within 48-72 hours or 2-3 business days. We understand it can be frustrating to not receive a same-day returned call, we stand by our practices for returning calls, as reasonable and acceptable for non-emergent matters in a healthcare office. I confirmed that on 7/16 you requested an appointment for the following business day, 7/19. Our provider schedule was full, so we were not able to accommodate this immediate request, and offered the following Monday as an alternative. It is my understanding that you did not accept the appointment offered.I appreciate the acknowledgement of mutual challenges in communication and your attempt to resolve the issue by calling back. When I spoke with staff, they acknowledged difficulty accessing your personal information in our system, which was the reason for repeated requests for information in order to access your record. I suspect this was the source of some of your frustration and I've reinforced with staff our strategies to assist patients who are expressing frustration and anger, so we can put all of our focus on the healthcare needs of our clients. There are pre-admission requirements from the Oregon Health Plan that we must fulfill, and I understand how these were communicated and/or received may have been a source of misunderstanding and resultant frustration on both sides.Lastly, I'd like to earnestly reassure you that we are proud to provide physical therapy services for any eligible member of the Oregon Health Plan. We have extended care to OHP members for over 15 years, and do not differentiate treatment or our interactions with our valued clients based on payer source. My hope is that you experienced this first-hand during your prior episode of care at Axis, and that the experience contributed to your desire to return for follow-up care. Fantastic experience: I was seen for urinary incontinence, which I was skeptical about. I didn’t think anything would help except for surgery. I am amazed at what my body was able to do and it is my pleasure to announce that today I graduated and will be doing the exercises I learned at home to continue my progress. The staff at Axis is alway pleasant and I actually had a lot of fun doing this.

Fantastic experience: One of the most helpful places I've been, friendly staff people you can get to know. I had a numbness going on in my shoulder blade and after they gave me workouts and bands I got better in less than a month best place I've gone to so far.
Negative experience: I have way more back pain then I've had in years as a result of them telling me to stretch my hamstrings. I looked online for back pain/sciatica reliefs and several website told me not to do the exercises they recommended me doing. I'm incredibly dissatisfied with their service to say the least
