Positive experience: River Bend is a nice facility. It's clean, doesn't smell like some facilities do and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The nursing staff is very punctual with medication and addressing my mom's needs. The CNAs are professional, but playful with the residents. Always joking with them and bringing smiles to the residents faces. The therapy staff is top notch. They are laser focused on helping each person get stronger and to return to their maximum abilities. The food is pretty good, and the staff is always willing to order something else if the resident gets something they aren't hi her for at that time. There are little court yards to go outside and visit on nice days. The facility is secure so no one is going out or coming in without the staff knowing. Very happy with the care my mom is receiving here at River Bend. I highly recommend it. I am retired nurse, with no affiliation with River Bend. My mother is getting better care here than she did at the hospital. I can actually relax when I leave because I know she is in good hands. I think it's important for everyone to know that they have new staff and may e new management, I'm not exactly sure, but I negative reviews I've read so not correlate with I'm seeing.

Fantastic experience: The rehab department is beyond extraordinary. The team goes above to make sure everyone who returns home are able and have all the tools needed to succeed. They make therapy fun!

Negative experience: My brother was neglected and starved. They took his TV, phone, mini-fridge among other things that weren't returned until I called state and made a report. My brother was asking for something to eat and a drink, they would continually say he refused. He was 77lbs a month before he passed. It took getting other people involved before they would release his funds to the funeral home. He developed 2 bed sores, they were changing his bandages every 3-4 days. My brother was begging me to get him out of there. By the time I found a place it was too late. This place is terrible.

Negative experience: My mom was there and the staff abused her …management did nothing …she was scared to stay there…..we finally got her into another facility unfortunately after new facility she passed away …but I wouldn’t send anyone to this place !!

Negative experience: My uncle has been at Riverbend for a very short time and there is never any staff around and when you ask for help they say they will be right back and never show up…the job always gets pushed to someone else…so disappointing and something needs to be done asap! Unacceptable!!!

Negative experience: Well it looks like all the good reviews from people that work there but from people that have had their parents there friends there. Bad experience sounds like to me they're covering up that displaced not a good place to put my wife thank God they have reviews

Negative experience: If there would have been a zero I would have checked it. Just a few things to say about this place. It’s nasty, they don’t clean residents very good, they give them a sailors bath ( which is with a rag and some water in their sink). When you work your shift and another shift they give you two dollars instead of putting the two dollars with your hourly wage and adding the two together. Example 12.00 plus 2.00 equals 14.00 an hour. I could go on and on about this place. Please don’t work there or put your loved ones there. I think the good reviews were written by the people who have worked there for a long time and just don’t want to lose their jobs. Please, please don’t put your loved ones there. If you love your loved ones, hire private care givers. It’s better for them and it’s cheaper on your pocket book

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful time at the trunk or treat last night!! Lots of fun things to do and my daughter enjoyed getting candy and playing Sabrina did a great time!! ❤️

Fantastic experience: The Trunk or Treat was a success! Everyone was so welcoming and worked together. The children were so cute all dressed up...defenitely made the residents smile.

Positive experience: Very friendly and caring staff.

Negative experience: They offer no care and only empty promises. My grandmother was here for about 4 days and never received several meals, was rarely given her medications or adequate care for her personal health situation. She was left alone for unacceptable amounts of time for someone with high fall risk. They never brought her a dietary menu and only brought her (a diabetic) sugary and salty meals with no nutritional value. We had to bring her meals several times and she wasn't answered several times when pressing the nurses call button. She did not feel cared for and it was an extremely difficult situation. We pulled her from there and will spread our experience with others so they never go to that terrible place.

Fantastic experience: We removed my sister from CYPRESS GROVE n Newburgh because she was not improving she was ther over a month and received 1shower!!!…. She’s now here at river bend an I can tell a big difference.. they work with her every day an she gets a shower twice a week!!! Staff is great with her!!

She has been in several different nursing homes and she never got the treatment that she received at Riverbend. They do some very good activities to keep the residents active. I would rate it a 10

Negative experience: This place is terrible,never check on you never fresh water always same cup all day they have a cooler with ice in it and it leaks on floor ,you can never find any one at front desk,they don't care if you eat are not they did not give my brother good care it cost a fortune and he paid his only way.

Fantastic experience: I visited my Aunt today at this facility. She is nonverbal but wrote down a lot of good things about her care. I noticed how clean and well decorated it was and the staff was amazingly kind. I am so thankful she is in your care, keep up the good work and thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: The administration acts in the best interest of residents. The nursing staff provides top quality nursing care. The activities staff is relentless in providing residents a wide variety of activities to fit the different likes of residents. The housekeeping staff is diligent in keeping germs out of the facilities.

Negative experience: This place should be closed. They like to drug you up so you won’t bother them. The nurses thought it was funny when my friend slept all the time and stated we give her medicine to sleep in the day time. They won’t send you to hospital till you are out of your head and that’s only with her family and friends told them to take her to hospital and by the way they overdose her on pain medicine to. My friend almost died several time because of them letting her lay there out of her head with a severe infection. My friend has passed away and this nursing home is the reason she is dead. So people PLEASE don’t let your love ones go here. My friend went there for rehab and instead of rehab she is now dead. . Also I glad them one star and one star is really to good to give them.
