Sanford Southpointe: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Went for an Ultra sound. Great technician
Fantastic experience: Everyone here was so nice and helpful when I got lost. Not too many people here all at once, making it a comfortable place to be if you aren't big on large crowds.
Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for 18 years. They have always treated me well. I am very proud to be able to come there and see my doctors there. I always get taken care of to the highest level there is. The staff at Sanford is top-notch. Thank you, Sanford, for always giving your top-notch care. God bless.
Fantastic experience: I see both Amanda Roberts, along from internal medicine, and Dr. Overirene rheumatology They are the most wonderful doctors who take the time to listen and care for their patients. They should receive award for their wonderful service they give
Negative experience: they called me 30 min before my appt to tell me the doctor won’t be in this day, I made this appt weeks ago…. now i can not get in until 2 more weeks…
Hello Alicia, we are sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience. We’re committed to providing the highest-quality service and care. We encourage you to contact our Patient Relations team at 1-701-234-5876 so they can follow up.
Negative experience: Was told by my insurance that this place was in network, the lady at the eye center told me they didn’t take my insurance and when I was on the phone with my insurance she was making rude remarks and talking about me to other customers. And in the end they do take my insurance but refused to anyway.
Hi Esme, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will share this with the clinic director.
Fantastic experience: In for Dexa sçan. Wonderful tech, explained procedure clearly and in layman's terms. Made the whole experience that much more comfortable.
Fantastic experience: Always pleasant. Very open and welcoming environment here.
Positive experience: Good service
Negative experience: I’ve paid the same bill of 19.18 three times. They keep indicating it is overdue. As someone with clinical anxiety, this is so wrong. I pay my bills, this if 19.18. I’ve paid it! Get your billing figured out. This is ridiculous and epically sub par.
Fantastic experience: Best Doctor's and staff members
Fantastic experience: Nice place, nice people. Probably my favorite Sanford location. Really good doctors and staff.
Negative experience: went for blood draw. First ladies in check in hardly said Hi. Got brought back and the heavy female who took my blood didnt even say Hi. Put a band aid on my arm, no coban and sent me out. Started bleeding as I walked out. Went back and a male nurse was shocked she didnt wrap my arm. Bad experience.
Hi dufD45, we're sorry you didn't have a good experience with us. We have shared this with the director.
Fantastic experience: Best Doctor's and staff members
Fantastic experience: Lots of road construction....
Fantastic experience: Respectful nurses and doctors here.
Fantastic experience: Nice place, nice people. Probably my favorite Sanford location. Really good doctors and staff.
Fantastic experience: Only clinic my family goes to
Positive experience: Lll
Negative experience: Whoever answers the phones here are rude. Couldn’t grab the lady’s name before she just hung up on me..
Negative experience: I switched from Sanford internal medicine to Sanford family medicine because my doctor at internal medicine left. Now at family medicine, I am trying to re-establish care and get back on my ADHD medication. I am traveling to Italy and would really like to be back on my medication before the trip. Sanford was great and got me in for a last minute appointment on Wednesday, June 13th. I meet with my new Doctor and do a urinalysis and fill out a release of information form for my last provider (not Sanford) to provide medical history to Sanford so they can prescribe my medication. Then on Thursday, I call in to check the progress and Sanford Family Medicine tells me that I still need to fill out the authorization for release of information. I told them I had left it with the gentleman working the front desk. They told me “I don’t know who you left it with, but we have never had a gentleman working the front desk.” (I have since learned that there indeed was a man working at the front desk, however, Sanford still hasn’t found that authorization). After trying to deal with Sanford (waiting 8 hours for the nurse to call me back) I get a new authorization for release of information from my old provider and send it directly to them on on Monday, via fax. They are responsive and send my file to Sanford one day later. (Now Tuesday morning of the 19th). I spend all day Tuesday and most of Wednesday trying to get a hold of someone, and finally go in Wednesday afternoon to try to get someone to talk to me. After sitting there for 2 hours I finally am told that they must have misplaced the records faxed from my previous provider. My doctor does meet with me even though we don’t have an appointment, but she tells me she doesn’t feel comfortable even giving me a two week supply to make it through my trip. This is somewhat understandable, but after everything Sanford had put me through I was hoping to appeal to my doctor’s sense of decency or desire to care for her patients in unorthodox ways during extenuating circumstances. So here I am, about to leave on my trip tomorrow morning without the medication I’ve been on for the last 11 years of my life. I would like to say that I understand my medication is sensitive (Adderall) and also, while I found the staff completely unhelpful most of the time, they were polite and professional. I just thought it was worth writing this review to warn people that they may not be taken care of at Sanford Family medicine. -Evan Ackerman
Fantastic experience: Good place to doctor . Clean ,cool in the summer ,warm in winter. Huge parking lot to avoid door dings from others . Parking on 3 sides of the building.
Fantastic experience: Great service
Fantastic experience: Of all of the Sanford's in Fargo this sight is the most convenient.
Fantastic experience: My doctor is the best. I've always been treated well by all the staff. The young lady in the coffee shop is kind of "selective" as to who she waits on first , some people still don't get it.
Fantastic experience: All of the staff are kind and welcoming.
Positive experience: Friendly folks never seems overly crowded
Positive experience: Nice people and good service
Negative experience: Worst parking lot literally ever and the check in people were extremely rude. I'll go anywhere else but here
Negative experience: I just tried to call about something really personal and so i was struggling to get it out and the woman on the phone was so extremely rude and hung up on me. I hope no one experiences this. one of the places who doesnt actually care. i’m not even the type of person to leave bad reviews but this was terrible. the worst.
Positive experience: For hospitals, I'd say this one is actually on the higher end of the spectrum. Unlike others, staff seemed more inviting. felt comfortable during my appointment and everything went smoothly. Only a 4 star because some of the staff are still pretty testy. There are always a few...
Negative experience: Doctors are rude and condescending. Overpriced even with insurance. Was quoted a price for a surgery and when I got the bills it was 3x the price. Called about it and was told too bad. You can do a payment plan of 700 a month or we will send to collections. Also went to ER at new fancy hospital with a broken ankle/leg was told it will be at least 3 hours! I’m done with Sanford. Do not go here. Essentia is way better.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service. Quick, timely & professional.
Fantastic experience: Awesome with kids speech therapy
Fantastic experience: It's a make you feel better place
Fantastic experience: Kaitlyn Wolden is a wonderful provider.
Fantastic experience: You are always treated with care and concern
Fantastic experience: Excellent services.
Fantastic experience: Great clinic.
Fantastic experience: Southpointe is a great place to see your Dr.'s. You can get your X-rays done, go get your eyes examined, get your mammy's grammed or you can just go workout in the Gym on the 2nd floor. Wow, it's like going to the mall.
Fantastic experience: Quick, efficient, effective, nice people, and clean.
Fantastic experience: I go to Sanford for all the time and I hope everyone is doing the same, great people and services.
Fantastic experience: Very nice doctors and nurse.
Fantastic experience: Optical shop excellent customer service
Fantastic experience: Fast service
Fantastic experience: No wait great staff
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff did my procedure quick and explained everything they were going to do.
Fantastic experience: Not sure but must have been my annual mammogram.....and as always they are very professional, very thorough and always very sensitive to your feelings.
Fantastic experience: That is where my doctor is.
Fantastic experience: The people are friendly and helpful.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic medical staff

Fantastic experience: See Matt J. In physical therapy. Also man. Knows how to make me laugh nasnhe is helping me ..
Fantastic experience: I love the staff of Southpoint.
Fantastic experience: Did PT with Matt Jacques, very professional worked his magic
Fantastic experience: Great clinic
Positive experience: Ok
Positive experience: Trying to find a Doctor who might actually help me!!!!
Positive experience: They're polite and efficient. I see my diabetic educator there and she is the best!
Negative experience: Sanford is so over priced. Even with insurance you end up getting screwed over. If you can choose to go to someone independent.... do it!!! Don’t give Sanford your business or money.
Negative experience: Got diagnosed with an Autoimmune Disease about 7 weeks ago and have been so sick with an infection that isn't responding to antibiotics... Doctors are presuming that the reason for this is Lupus. In and out of the hospital 5x in the last month...that number doesn't reflect regular appointments. I am totally unable to work. My Doctors AND the ER/Hospital tell me *THIS* Specialist is the ONLY DR. in the State that can help me so I have been waiting 7 WEEKS just for their Rheumatology Department to tell me that my Referral had been DECLINED. They also couldn't tell me WHY it had been declined...and get this...I had to call THEM to find out, also. Were they going to even bother calling? Also as I broke down in tears when I heard the news the woman on the phone was extremely cold-hearted & acted like I was inconveniencing her. WORST MEDICAL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE.
Negative experience: overall it’s a good doctors office but the walk in is the slowest, most least helpful, and the nurses are not very polite at all, compared to every other sanford walk in there is, plus there was no one ahead of me, i waited nearly 40 mins to get into the room then another basically 40 mins for a doctor. that has never happened at any of the other ones even when there are a lot of people there. Im very disappointed to be honest.
Fantastic experience: Staff is friendly, place is clean , apt. Times are kept within 5 min. Of schedualed time. Drs. Take their time and really listen to what u are saying.,
Fantastic experience: The doctors here are much more understanding then some of the ones in moorehead
Fantastic experience: Very helpful very good
Negative experience: Maybe it's just been a bad day... Took my daughter in for a blood test and they did the wrong test, then proceeded to lose her prescription. She's been sick for a long time and it just feels like nobody cares.
Fantastic experience: I love this place. they all know me by name. I don't even have to check in, I just walk in and say hi and they check me in haha. everyone is so nice
Fantastic experience: They're so kind and willing to aid anyone. Very loving staff.
Negative experience: Staff is rude.
Negative experience: I can't give it one star because I got the bare minimum I came for, but the whole time, you feel like you aren't wanted there. The staff talk to each other over you and don't tell you what's going on or where you're supposed to go. Providers seem like they want to get you in and out really fast and explaining what medications I'm on is always a struggle because they say they have the current ones on file, but somehow they're always outdated by a year and I have to tell them again and again. One of my medications is a controlled substance and they treat me like I'm just trying to get drugs even though I've been on it since I was 15. And every time the system doesn't work I get a skeptical, "if you're on it, why isn't it showing up?" as if I'm making it up. I'm going to start looking into private practices because Sanford is terrible.
Negative experience: Have limped into this place multiple times, to receive no help at all. Finally, last appointment with the supervisor of family medicine where I asked to receive help for chronic pain I was having fell on deaf ears. The next day I was fired from my job. I tried to change doctors calling Sanford North and was then transferred to this doctor's nurses, feeling like I was not receiving any care for both my health, nor as a person seeking my own caring doctor not having a choice. Then I filed a complaint against the doctor only for a week later to receive a phone call from the director of family medicine, chastising me and completely ignoring my complaint against the care I received in his department. If you go here, you'll be treated like meat in the meat grinder, and NOT treated like a person.
Fantastic experience: They called to let me know an earlier appointment was available with Dr. Newman. I've been very anxious about this appointment and they took over a month off my wait. I also go here to see Dr. Rokke for my chiropractic sessions. He's very knowledgeable, straightforward, and cares a great deal about his patients. Great Dr. Kayla at endocrinology reception was very friendly, upbeat, and helpful.
Fantastic experience: Scheduling staff is always more than accommodating working around my schedule to find a time available for me. All staff are Very polite and courteous. Very clean, big, comfortable hospital.
Fantastic experience: The receptionist that I called was extremely friendly and understanding. She tried to help me in every way possible. The doctors that I've seen are very knowledgeable and understanding, and sympathetic to all of the problems that I've gone in for. They don't stop until they figure out a solution to your problem, and it's not just to get your money. They seem very fairly priced, especially for the care I've received.
Fantastic experience: Thankful for this clinic. The staff are great; the nurses in family medicine know me by name AND remember my specific health stuff even though I am only there a few times a year. I have been seeing Dr. Stegmiller for several years now and highly recommend her for family medicine/pediatric care. She listens, thoroughly examines, and does not hesitate to make a referral if she and/or you feel it's appropriate.
