Fantastic experience: My father has been staying here and I’ve had a great experience especially in comparison to what I’ve experienced at other facilities in the area. The staff is incredibly attentive and compassionate, always going above and beyond to ensure his comfort. The facility seems to be clean and well-maintained. Also, outside of the significant improvement in his health (thanks to physical therapy and his nursing staff) I’ve noticed his mood has changed and he appears much happier (possibly due to social interactions with other resident). I’d recommend Carolina Rehab

Fantastic experience: This facility is by far the best. They have a great therapy department and great equipment. It has a very clean and home like environment. From the time you walk in the door everyone is so welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Amazing clean facility with some of the BEST staff that you could ever imagine. Tramara the unit manager is amazing. She goes above and beyond for her patients. Chelsie D is the most caring and amazing nurse. She is kind, helpful and very patient. Housekeeping does an amazing job at keeping the facility looking and smelling amazing. The dining department tries their absolute best to prepare nutritious meals for all residents. Oh, and let’s not forget therapy. They have some of the most amazing and caring therapists. Kirsten the SLP, is phenomenal. She will work with each individual patient to ensure that they receive the safest meal options based on their needs. The PT and OT department are the BEST of the BEST. Having trouble walking? They’ll get you back to your baseline as efficiently as they can. Love to cook, but can’t stand long? Occupational therapy will get you back at that stove in no time. All in all, CRCC seems to be on one accord when it comes to the safety, and wellbeing of all of the patients.

Fantastic experience: Very clean when entering building. The receptionist was very welcoming and helping with directions. A lot of therapy equipment. The customer service is great!

Fantastic experience: I would like to shout out the activities department. Cindy, Destiny, and Carol ensure that residents are engaged, have new activities, special guests - I have worked in many nursing homes throughout NC - and the activities department at CRCC is excellent!

Fantastic experience: Cumberland has a the best therapists in the therapy department, they go out of their way to make sure every patient has what they need. The rehab director, Kelly, makes sure patients get the most out of their rehab stay and ensures a safe discharge home. They also have a very nice therapy gym with state of the art equipment!

Negative experience: This place is a joke. My mother entered care at the beginning of Aug. While there the facility doctor changes meds, doesn’t see the patient, they start the new meds without even educating the patient they are taking it. Patients sit for hours waiting to be changed. So they have to sit in soiled pants until staff come in. Not all staff is bad. I found 2-3 staff that go out of their way to take care of you. But they are only 2-3 people. They can’t do it all. I wouldn’t put my dog in this place. I regret my mother had to be here.

Fantastic experience: My father is currently a patient at CRCC and the staff has been wonderful. When your parent goes to a facility for rehab there are always concerns about the care they may receive, the pt or ot, the food, and none of this has been an issue. Starting from admission they made him feel welcome and have answered all of our questions and concerns. Therapy, nursing, dietary, and the cleanliness of the facility are always on point and we have no complaints! Special shout out to his unit manager Tramara! He absolutely adores her!

Negative experience: Wow just what a lousy place you’d be better off getting healthcare from a stranger in a van very unprofessional conduct

Fantastic experience: Let me be critical for moment. There is a real shortage of Wipes. The nurse most always needs to find them before she can change her patient. Not good!!!. Another thing, the cable t.v. is out. What does a patient have to do besides watch the tube? Again, not good!!! To be commended for their excellent performance in making their patients feel like they are happy & being cared for. PT Ladies: Page Barefoot & Paige Parkins. They both care about their patients & encourage their patients. Nurse: Jocelyn Batdorf is excellent. She is always ready to help even when she is short staffed. She just puts more [umph] in her tank. The 3 people I mentioned deserve recognition in the most highest form. I remain, Jon Macrina.

Fantastic experience: I’m a quiet person. It takes me a while to warm up to anyone. My first day working here everyone was so warm and welcoming. My favorite part is having conversations with the residents.

Fantastic experience: Great multi-disciplinary meeting today. The team was engaged had observations similar to ours and listened to our questions and concerns.

Positive experience: I want to thank Sarah, Cristina, Paige B, Courtney K, and Bobbie in therapy as well as Katina and Amanda CNA staff. The therapy is number one in my book. Positive experience: My girlfriend was brought here last Friday ( 6 days ago ) , has not been washed off , or showered . Her daughter came today to wash her. She has on three occasions turned on her call light . Once was a 33 minute wait , once was a 46 minute wait and once was a hour and 4 minute wait. We don't understand why this has happened three times.

Negative experience: My mother was in the rehab for a month, but it’s also very much like a nursing home. Understaffed on the nursing side, but I suppose most of them did their best to handle so many patients. Physical therapists were good and helped her with exercise. But it’s about determination. You have to get yourself up and out of there. Because of some incidents where she was not followed up with (despite having blood clots), I have to give them a two.

Fantastic experience: All of your staff that I have met have been great. I would like to recognize Migdalia Torres especially. My cousin speaks very highly of her. She has been so caring and attentive during my visits. I commend you on a beautiful, well-run facility.

Fantastic experience: All the workers are kind and gentile. They dont mind to stop and help you with something. They work so hard, do it with a smile. They are so caring and compassionate! And the facility is so clean and bright! We are grateful for her to be at such an excellent facility!

Fantastic experience: I would like to take a moment to brag on Carolina Rehab of Cumberland! This is the first place I’ve ever worked that felt like a true family. The camaraderie amongst the staff is like no other. They take pride in making sure that the residents are well taken care of and that they feel comfortable and at home. Fantastic experience: My grandmother was a patient here at this facility and she received the best occupational therapy from Chelsea the COTA. She was helpful, very patient and kind with her. My grandmother looked forward each time to her sessions with Chelsea. I wish their was more stars to give for this place.

Fantastic experience: I recently toured this facility. The front desk personnel were so accommodating and helpful. The business office manager was very professional and sensitive to our needs. She explained the process of onboarding and programs available to us. This facility really changed my thought process of such facilities and made my decision to have my loved one placed there so much easier.

Fantastic experience: My husband was there twice in a year's time. He broke his left hip in June last year. Had the opportunity to meet Danielle and Buffi. Spent 45 days with them while they worked with my husband. June this year, he broke his other hip. There was no doubt where I wanted him to be after surgery. Those 2 young ladies are the only reason I wanted him there. They are the absolute best caregivers in the building!

Fantastic experience: The staff at Carolina rehab were excellent with my dad. The nurses and cna's were patient and attentive to my dad. The physical and occupational therapist were fantastic. They helped him immensely. The speech therapist (Kirsten) was amazing with my dad. She did a great job helping my dad and me through this tough time .

Fantastic experience: I appreciate being a part of the Carolina Rehab team. Our patients are well taken care of on the daily. Carolina Rehab has a good atmosphere. We have each other's back on the good days and the not so good days.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with all the staff in CRCC, everyone was professional and informative with all of my questions and concerns. But most importantly, I would like to praise on the Dietary Manager, Barbara. She was very accommodating to the needs of my mom during her stay. I speak highly on having your loved ones stay at CRCC.

Fay, and I hope I’m spelling her name correctly, was amazing! She was very nice, helpful and did not act like I was an inconvenience. Thank you Fay!

Fantastic experience: Staff are professional, friendly and informative. They are thorough in all discussions and decisions. From floor nurses to cleaning staff they are more than attentive and helpful. The building smells great and looks beautiful. Rooms are on the smaller size but sufficient. Rehab services are well planned and executed. Jasmine and Tanya on the Independant Hall go the extra mile to make patients comfortable and nurtured. I really have to praise all the staff from the front door, cleaning,, meal planners, office, ,therapist, nurses, CNA’s and doctor for being genuine , knowledgeable and supportive of patients and family of patients.

Fantastic experience: Staff has always been amazing with my granny ❤️ soon as I walked in Ms. Ayannah greeted me with love and compassion and we had a heart to heart conversation which I needed I’ve been going through so much and she was the light of my day. But everyone is always working hard making sure patients and us families are taken care as well when we come to visit.

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting residents at Carolina Rehab for several years now. The receptionist is always friendly and welcomes you to the facility. The overall environment is very clean. They have an outstanding therapy department with top notch equipment and a large team to help the residents recover. The Activities Dept is always engaging the residents in fun and meaningful ways. Holiday parties, outdoor games and crafting are just a few of the activities I have observed. Nursing staff are always pleasant and answer any questions. Overall, this is a great facility and I would recommend bringing your loved one here for rehab.

Negative experience: My mom was there for 5 days. The second night she went on the floor and I don’t know for how long. She told me the next day. She had colon cancer surgery and was cut under her breast to past her belly button. She had staples and got a really bad infection. I watched someone change it after she was on the floor the next day and it was green and the girl that cleaned the wound that day said it looked good. We went went to the surgeons office the next morning it was so infected she had to go back to the hospital. Plus when they sent her paperwork to the surgeons office with me they had someone else’s paperwork staple to the front of my mom’s paperwork. I saw the woman’s name, address and social security number. That was a big mistake. So that is a Hepa violation. She will never go back to a rehabilitation. If she would have stayed there one more day I don’t know if she would still be with us. So that prolonged her healing and she is still in the hospital getting a lot of antibiotics.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility, very clean, warm and inviting. The staff were very kind, helpful and friendly. I feel that my loved one is being given the finest of care.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had three loved ones here and I would not choose another facility to take care of my loved one. They care, listen and understand that it is very hard to leave your loved one in the hands of someone else. My mother n law had hip surgery and we were worried with her age would she be able to recover fully and she did, she runs around now like nothing ever happened now.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in the facility was kind and friendly. It was a comfort to see the ways they interacted with the patients. The staff on 4 was eager to care for my husband in any way possible. This is often a thankless job and it was comforting to know these staff members were so positive in relating to patients and their families!

Fantastic experience: I give CRCC 5 stars. Upon entering the facility, you are greeted by a beautiful smile at the front desk. The admission process into the facility was the smoothest I have ever seen. Barbara in dining entered my room to get my likes/dislikes for my meals. The food always smells amazing. The facility is ALWAYS clean.Grace in housekeeping does an excellent job at making sure that rooms are neat and clean. Tara(my CNA) is literally the life of the party. She made sure that I was well taken care of. I had TWO broken legs, so I couldn’t do much for myself. Cristina and Danielle are some of the BEST therapists that I have ever seen. I admit, I was a cry baby when it came to therapy, but they pushed me more than I would have ever pushed myself. All in all, my stay was better than I could have ever imagined. I was afraid to have to go to rehab, but they have definitely changed my outlook on that. If I ever have to go back to rehab for therapy, Carolina Rehab is the place I’d choose. It’s more than just a job to them, they treat you like family!! CRCC, you ROCK!!!

The first 2 places were very nice in appearance but not so in taking care of my mom. Carolina Rehab has been the best. Anytime I have ask a question of anyone I get an immediate response. Anytime I have ask for something for my mom immediate response. I highly recommend Carolina Rehab Center Of Cumberland to anyone concerned about your loved one being taken care of.
