Fantastic experience: Therapy made me feel like I was somebody. They were very patient with me and I enjoyed my individual therapy and group therapy.

Fantastic experience: I had goals that I set for myself and they helped me reach them. Group therapy was fun and I really enjoyed all my therapist. I very much feel like I progressed here more than I did in the hospital.

Fantastic experience: The care was great. Whenever I turned my light on they always came to help me and whenever I needed something they were right there. They were kind, attentive and encouraging. I really enjoyed the activities they had here. If I did not like something on the menu they accommodated me. They were consistent with cleaning my room everyday. I have enjoyed my stay here and loved graduating to the other hall. But I received good care on both halls. I will miss everyone and I am excited to be going home.

My therapist Stephen really went out of his way to make sure I had what I needed for my knee. I did not have one bad nurse during my stay and I had many exceptional nurses. Therapy has definitely made me feel stronger and lot more confident. They never let me give up.

Positive experience: This facility was my frist choice. I have been here before and I was happy with my care. The nurses and therapy were good. I really liked how many activities they had for me to do. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Everyone would always say hello to me.

Positive experience: The facility was very homey, comfortable and conducive to a long term stay. The staff was lovely and my room felt more like a home setting rather than a hospital. The staff was accommodating to my needs. I had real 1 on 1 PT therapy not just group therapy.

Fantastic experience: Ive been here for 3 weeks and by in large the nursing staff has been great. Some better than others but angeline is top of the list. Same with the CNAs. Therapy helped me with my depth perception.

Fantastic experience: The whole team here was outstanding. They start your morning with a smile and always come say night to me. They always checked on me to see if I needed anything. It felt like home here. If I could recommend a place for rehab I would recommend village green. I had a very classy up todate room that felt better than home

Negative experience: My dad 91 + yrs old at this nursing home is supposed to get 2shower baths a week. He is averaging about once a week. Saturday is one of the days he is supposed to get his bath, but they are always short of staff on weekends. On July 27, Saturday he did not get his bath. He was smelling when I tried to put him to sleep at 9:30 PM. When I asked the night staff to confirm if he indeed did not have the bath,they could not be sure because they were no shower logs maintained from the daytime. This negligent behavior is despite when I have a caretaker lady present for eight hours a day after which time I am present with my dad. I have brought this exact issue with the nursing home management many times before but clearly they are not bothered. The staff working at the nursing home clearly say that they are severely shortstaffed. On previous occasions, I had to show my angst to get compression stockings on his lower extremities consistently. In the past, there were days when both lunch and dinner were exactly the same. My dad is a vegetarian all this was potatoes and boiled carrots for lunch and dinner on one particular day. Very poor diet menu.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed my stay. The physical trainers were great. I learned how to use the sliding board and they have helped me stand. I hope to continue to get better at home. I really enjoyed my therapy here I have no complaints.

Positive experience: My mother just got to Village Green on Thursday and they have no wash cloths or towels and no linen that is clean on July 27 2024. And the NA said the linen will not be ready at 10am or later. But finally got her bed changed and got some wash cloths and towels. This is unacceptable. I had to wash my mother up and change her top. This is real crazy up here. Then had to asked for them to come vacuum her room on July 26,2024. Then room my mom is in didn’t have a phone it but after asking for a phone. They got her one. Today July 27,2024 but then my mother started throwing up and I went on told the nurse and they look at me like they didn’t hear me and then I went out there a second time the nurse told me she was getting her medicine. I’m not happy right now. But the young man that’s does housekeeping is very respectful and he’s doing awesome job. Please pray for mom to get out in Two weeks and come home. If you all have any family or friends in a Nursing Facility please go check up on them.Thanks and I will be back with part two. Once my mom is released.

Fantastic experience: My overall experience here has been very pleasant. Everyone here is nice and helpful when I first came i couldn't get out of bed but now I'm able to get up by myself. Therapy has been able to get me to walk with a walker. Nursing gave me my medication on time and worked with me on any adjustments I needed. It couldn't have gone any better

Fantastic experience: The food at first was different but it got better in a few days. Everyone here is lovely and felt like family. They have a big therapy team here and they are wonderful. I got along with everyone here.

Positive experience: I was at a different facility and was unhappy so I decided to try this facility. Overall the nursing staff was great. Majority of the time I had good CNAs. Therapy for me was tough but in a good way. I didn't think I was going to recover but therapy pushed me and got me stronger.

Fantastic experience: Everybody is good here. They don't look down on you and are always ready to help. Everyone is so nice and friendly and are always there to help when I need it. I would chose to come back here. The place was always clean. Therapy was awesome and the nursing staff was great.

Fantastic experience: I've been here for 3 weeks. When I came here to the 100 hall everybody was so nice. When i first came the administrator makinna was very friendly and took the time to answer all my questions. Whenever I needed help they were willing to help me. I got to know everyone from the nursing staff and therapy staff. I am very sad to be leaving because everyone was so nice. I would like to give a shout out to my CNAs and nurses Tina, China, Dione, Christine, Angeline,Vickie, Isolda and Patricia. They really took the time to take care of me. The therapy staff Margarete, maisey, bonnie, and Gladys. They taught me what I needed to be able to do to be able to go home. The discharge planner was great and made sure everything was ready for me at discharge. I would recommend this place and I would chose this place again if I needed therapy. I will miss my village green family

Fantastic experience: I was on the rehab hall here and it was quiet and peaceful. The nurses and CNAs were all nice to me and I’d push the call light and they would be in within 5-10 min. Therapy was great and got me back to walking with the walker.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time needing to go to a facility. I was first taken to a different facility and I was not happy so I asked to be transferred to village green. My experience here has been more than 5 stars. All the staff here were like family. They were all so nice to me and took good care of me. I would recommend this place to everybody and anybody.

Fantastic experience: The therapy was great. I had a lot of therapy that I wished I had some days off. When I first came I was hardly able to move and now I am able to stand and walk. Nursing was also great. I had the nurses Marissa, Audrey and Tina, CNAs Christine and jasmine. My therapy I had Margarete, Kelsey, maisey, cat and Teddi. They were all great to me. We had our differences but they always pushed me to get better

Positive experience: I have been here 2 times now. My first time was really good here so I decided to come back. The nursing staff has been excellent. They gave me my meds on time and took care of my wounds. Therapy has been great and progressive for me. I got knocked down a few times but they always brought me back and never gave up on me. My cna Christine and my nurse Marissa took good care of me. My therapist Oliver made me feel very special and always supported me through my struggles and made me feel capable of doing anything. The supervisor of therapy maisey helped me in various ways that made me feel like I was a strong person. Everyone here became like family and I will miss them greatly. I wish they could go with me to my next journey

Negative experience: My father in law was in there for rehab. We had to have a meeting with the department heads. What a joke. One department head at a time came into his room. It took forever for the meals to arrive. Nurses we very rude and it took forever for them to show up when he rang the nurses call station. The rehab girls were amazing that’s the only good thing I can say about this facility.

Fantastic experience: It was an unexpected stay but i was pleasantly surprised. I have never been to a place like this and i was very nervous. But the people here were all nice, the room was clean and they all took care of me. The staff is very attentive, kind and considerate. I enjoyed my stay here. I would recommend everyone to come here for therapy.

The therapy team was filled with happy people and you can tell they were happy to help me which makes all the difference in the world for people like me.

My mind was at peace and I was very comfortable. The kitchen food was good and tasted like home cooked meals. Therapy was great and helped me walk again and get stronger. Negative experience: The only reason I gave them one star is because they have electricity on in the facility. My friend was sent there from Cape Fear Valley Hospital for rehabilitation for a broken ankle. She is a severe diabetic, and from the time she was admitted, her blood sugar was never monitored correctly. It reached over 600 several times during her stay. They never administered the correct dosage of insulin. Her care was not acceptable!!!!! She was in Village green for four days. She is now septic as a result of being there and she has pneumonia. Her husband had to call 911 to get her out of there and she is now back in Cape Fear Valley Hospital. If you care about your family and friends do anything in your power to keep them out of there. This place is an abomination and should not be legal , stay clear of Village Green rehabilitation.

Fantastic experience: My mother-in-law was here a month and an half ago for rehabilitation. The management, nurses, physical therapists, reception, activities workers, CNAs, as well as housekeeping, all worked together to care for my mil in the best ways possible. When she left, she was stronger and happier than she had been in months. I can't say enough good things about the care we received here! Thanks to everyone who had a part in making her stay a complete success. ~Michael Ann

Fantastic experience: It has been a new experience for me. This was my first time in a facility. Everyone has been very nice, helpful and they check on me often. I enjoyed working with therapy and walking with the therapist, I feel like I got stronger. Nursing staff has also been attentive to my needs.

Fantastic experience: These folks have taken care of my mother for about a month. My mother was said to be quiet, what? She loved her nurses and the staff. The place was very clean. My mother will come home in about three hours. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I was transferred to Village Green for a 2 1/2 week stay. From the time that I arrived to the time I was discharged, I felt well taken care of . The staff that worked with me built a very good rapport with me, and would call me by name and vice versa. I wasn’t just another patient that they quickly attended to, but they showed care and concern and support when I needed it! I would definitely recommend this rehab to anyone in need of their services! From CNA to the Doctor , Inwas treated well and they made it hard to want to leave! They were a family away from my family!

Positive experience: My mother was taken there following knee replacement surgery and developed bed sores. The wound care team has been wonderful! Megan has gone over and beyond to ensure my mothers 's wounds are treated and are on the mend. Thank you Megan

Fantastic experience: The staff were not only friendly but very accommodating to my needs. Dr. Willoughby showed a special interest in my concerns and followed through to provide answers for me.

Negative experience: This is an awful facility to bring your loved ones. Proper care IS NOT given! If any care is even given at all, because the workers don’t seem to care about the people here at all. This place will create WAY more problems than your loved one goes in there with. Avoid this facility at all cost!!!

Fantastic experience: Therapy has made me stronger and I really like doing therapy. I feel like I’m progressing towards my goals. The therapy team always correct me to make sure I am safe and doing the right things. I like all the therapist here

Fantastic experience: Bonnie Willoughby F.N.P.C, is a professional and enjoys her job. She pays attention to detail and is thorough. She is very kind and understanding and compassionate. I would like to see more people take the initiative and take care of patients the way Bonnie does.

Negative experience: My wife has been here for four days. She was sent here to receive PT for a hip replacement. She has only had PT two times and OT once. The food is some of the worst I have ever seen. Consistently cold, salad without salad dressing. Food is so hard she can't even eat it. Ice cream melted when she received it. Someone needs to look into what's going on at this place. How will our loved ones medical problems improve under these circumstances?? On a positive note, all of the medical staff have been very friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: I am posting my sister's review of what she saw first as she was there most of the time with my sister: This facility was the only one in Fayetteville that would take an active radiation patient, so I'm told. With limited options, we toured the facility. It's beautiful and the tour was great. We checked in on Friday afternoon. The weekend told the true story. LIMITED STAFFING on weekends. No one is at the nurse's station on weekends. You can push the nurse's button and wait, wait, wait, wait! The ratio of nurses & CNA's to patients is unacceptable. Look at their open positions listing. They need help! THE PATIENTS SUFFER. Ask for a shower or you won't get one! My loved one arrived Friday, and was showered Thursday, and only because I had to ask. You have to be an advocate for your family members. The food was delicious...compliments to the kitchen staff. Unfortunately, my loved one had to go to the ER from the center. We packed her belongings and never went back. These were my observations, nothing I heard from a third person. My account of her stay: The tour was nice and Admissions greeted us and was very friendly. Facilities looked they were recently renovated and looked beautiful. All staff there were pleasant and friendly. They took my sister in giving us the feeling like she was going to get the greatest of care. My sister contracted a cough that was constant and you can hear her wheezing and in respiratory distress, they 1 dose of Robitussin on a Tuesday afternoon and never got another dose until late Wednesday because "she didn't ask for it", no order from the doctor etc. Had to demand a chest x-ray that they said was negative but once admitted back to hospital on the SAME day it was Pneumonia. She is immune deficient due to chemo/radiation but they didn't seem to care about that. She is diabetic but kept giving her sweet tea, when i asked for a substitute the person just rolled their eyes and told me we probably can. Room was not cleaned daily as potato chips on the floor were in the same place for 2 days. Staff didn't fully know how to work the Hoyer Lift as they were hitting the ceiling fan trying to move her to her bed. She sometimes wasn't fed before going to her chemo/radiation appointments so they gave her dry cereal to snack on. When she was transported back to hospital we were told all of her meds were transported with her and she needed her chemo med especially. I called the facility to ask about it and i was placed on hold for almost 10 mins!!!! I decided to drive to see if they were found and the front desk girl gave attitude and then the person looking said "you hung up on me"!!! After 10 mins what did you expect? They said we don't have her meds but 30 minutes later the meds were found. Just bad business from Admin to support staff. Thank the lord for the 1 nurse who was there the weekend her blood sugar was low as she cared for her like my sister was family.

Negative experience: Our mother was at Village Green for 10 days, when she experienced a serious foot injury that was discovered by a family member. Staff NEVER gave reason for what cause the injury. Four days later, she was taken back to the hospital for treatment. The staff was negligent to her care and communication was minimum post injury. I would not recommended bringing your love ones here. Please DO NOT be like us and not listen to the reviews!

Negative experience: My Aunt was taken there after having surgery to do rehabilitation. She had to wear a colostomy bag while in there due to a tumor being removed from her colon which was supposed to be changed often as needed. She also had a cyst removal from her abdomen that had to be cleaned daily. She got sent back to the hospital after a few weeks due to getting sepsis all throughout her body. It wasn't caught in time and she passed a few days later in the hospital. I feel it was negligence on their part for not sending her to the hospital sooner. Do not take your loved ones to this place! Phone also didn't work properly and you could never hardly get through but if you did by some chance the nurse answering are very rude!

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank all of the staff here for the wonderful care they are providing for my grandmother. She calls me everyday and compliments the food and care she is receiving. I couldn’t think of a better facility for her. My family is very appreciative.

Negative experience: My grandmother was just sent there for rehab on broken ankle. She was not given any breakfast and no way to get to the bathroom. She was sent there yesterday from the hospital and my family checked her out today. Not a good place for your loved ones.

Negative experience: The admissions staff at Village Green is the most unprofessional group of people I have ever dealt with. This place is ALL about the money. They out and out lied to me about insurance issues and were very rude on the phone once I actually got to speak with someone as far as certain procedures. Good luck to anyone considering this place.

Negative experience: My mother was in Village Green for 5-6 weeks. During that time she was left in the bed with urine soaked gown and sheets from about 6am to lunchtime twice. Buzzed she had to go to the bathroom several times when she tried to hold but was wet before anyone came. Asked for oatmeal for breakfast and only received less than 6 times. She’s 89 but her mind is sound. There were a few good nurses and cna’s but for the most part I wouldn’t recommend. Thanks to Medicare she was booted out and can’t even stand.

Negative experience: Do not go here if you are unable to get out of your bed on your own! Document your entire body with your Doctor before you enter this facility, so you know whether you had bed sored before, or after coming to this facility.

Negative experience: This place doesn’t even need a star, however, i find it funny that you have to give at least one just to tell how sorry this place is! My grandfather went here for rehab. He was in the best spirits when he left the hospital! I watched this man go from singing and whistling everyday, to crying and begging to leave! He was always scared to talk on the phone and he would look around before saying anything about the food or service! He would have to beg them to take him to the bathroom, and multiple times they were too busy, so they just threw a dipper on him. He hated dippers, and being a man, it really embarrassed him! This place broke his spirit and his fight! Regardless of what they say, i hold them and their staff, responsible for his death! Only they know what happened in his final minutes! I have read all the reviews and it looks like this place was pretty good before covid! But then again, they had family members in and out! Since covid, it seems they know they want be having visitors so they just don’t care. And i think they are silencing the residents with fear! Please DO NOT take your family here, and if they are here, keep a watchful eye. And i mean like every 10 minutes! SHUT THEM DOWN! DO NOT LET THEM USE YOUR LOVED ONES AS A PAYCHECK!

Negative experience: Literally the worst place ever. Do not let your loved ones come here. The staff is LAZY. It looks and feels so depressing. The rooms aren’t as clean as they should be. The nurse had an AirPod in which is very unprofessional. I wouldn’t even give it 1 star.

Negative experience: This is not a good place for someone you care about. The only staff member that was amazing is Ms. Pat the receptionist. They did not return more than half of my father's belongings, the nurses took all of the can goods I brought up there for him since he could not eat their food, No one answers their voicemail, they discharged him without his medication or prescriptions knowing he wouldn't be seeing his primary for at least a week. MAINLY THEY SENT HIM HOME KNOWING HE NEEDS 24 HOUR CARE AND IT WAS NOT AVAILABLE AT HOME!!!! They also sent him home with a wheelchair and the house is not wheelchair accessible and extremely heavy.... Terrible facility

Fantastic experience: I have been an employee at the facility for over 8 years. Worked with many great nurses as well as CNAs. Sanstone works hard at creating a family environment that cares for both residents and employees.

Fantastic experience: I've been working a VG for 1 year and I really enjoy being there. When I report to work,vi don't feel stressed nor pressured. I've encountered a lot of nice family members without any problems. VG has nice,professional nurses and department heads. Everyone willing to help. No one perfect and we are all human. .

Negative experience: UPDATE...Be aware that Hall 3 is set apart for long term residents. The Rehab/Nursing sections of the facility offer short term medical rehab services. Carolina Inn is a separate facility.... 2018..The long term care facility has not always been and will not be perfect, yet it maintained a commited respectable reputation in this community for many years. I have sadly witnessed long term care suffering a serious decline in the level of resident patient care, a loss in highly respected and caring floor staff, and a decline in facility suitability for resident long term care since being sold by Village Green to SanStone in 2017. .. care has become less than dignified, neglectful resident care is the norm, patient comfort in a safe environment is disregarded, hydration neglect and food intake are not monitored, long delays in response times to resident calls for assistance are the norm, falling extremely short of the directors guaranty for expedience. It's not been uncommon for some aides to 'repeatedly' turn off resident call for assistance light and leave the room without attending to needs. Resident hygiene practices are being disregarded and neglected by some staff, resident requiring a presence or assistance with mobility to use the bathroom is often made to wait a mentally and physically painful 15, 30, 45+ minutes or more causing the cruel indignant need to soil on oneself (a serious form of neglect that lends to the development of serious health issues.) A call for assistance by residents is too often regarded as bothersome. Laundry facility services are a source of constant complaints and a costly nightmare to residents and family. Complaints that often result in defensive attitudes and a visible increase in bad performance by staff instead of improvement.

Negative experience: ~sanitation grade C ~ unhealthy food choices not diabetic /hypertension friendly ~roaches ~ inadequate rehab. Every resident was in a wheelchair. ~ sheets not changed daily ~calls NOT ANSWERED immediately. 20-30 minute wait time. ~ staff encouraged using "Depends" instead of encouraging bathroom autonomy.

Fantastic experience: Warm, friendly and highly skilled staff! Caring and knowledgeable on the needs of my family member, which was so important with regards to my decision on which Rehab to choose. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Here from 15 October til 29 October to visit mother and it was a pleasant time with each visit. All personal were kind and helpful if needed, mother's stay here was pleasant at all times. Now mother's review, I had no complaints about being here , was ready to go home from day one but all was good to me. I would reccomend Village Green to any friends that need this sort of assistance . Thank you Village Green for all you did for me to make sure I was ready to go home to take care of myself as I stated daily to the nurses and therapy people and the doctor but it was their call not mine as to when I was ready for home and finally that day did come and I was discharged home. Fantastic experience: Wow! This has to be one of the best, if not THE BEST Nursing Facility I've ever been in! So clean and smelled amazing everyday. My grandmother was in there after a total hip surgery and the staff were all amazing.(so many to name) From receptionists to therapy, to nurses and all administrative staff....they were all so friendly and caring for her. Everyone seemed to always have a smile on and offered assistance where needed. To the VG staff, we thank you for all that you have and do everyday. My grandmother is healthy and we couldnt be more pleased!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place!! The employees are very alert and hands on and super friendly!! Very helpful to the patient and guests!! A special thanks to Zakiya Mclairin (treatment nurse) Janel Cox (LPN) and Shieka Lawrence ( supply coordinator). These ladies were awesome!!

Negative experience: Hi my mother has been in this SNF for 2weeks. I live outside of the area. I am listed as a contact to get information for the professionals to speak to me. I have been unable to speak to the doctor. I have been unable to speak to the director of nursing. I have been unable to to speak to the social worker for two weeks. I work full time and am trying to find out how my mother is. This is not right and family needs information. This place is very unprofessional I would not let my mother stay here again.

Fantastic experience: Village Green, by far, has to be the best Rehab and long term care facility around. My mother had been in and out of facilities over the last several years. She recently passed. Village Green went above and beyond for my mother and my family. I could not imagine a better place or environment. The staff was phenomenal.
