Negative experience: Eight years my mother on two different occasion's was in Autumn Care, it was an excellent facility.I would tell people that’s the best place for care. Today with my father in law being in there, I don’t there’s a number on the scale to describe the decline in care for the patients. The care is horrific. We had so many problems of poor treatment and extremely poor patient care, our concerns are by far, too many to list. While we visit almost daily , waiting for soiled clothes to be changed to assisting with daily feedings, is impossible The staff will bring the food and leave it, although we have requested assistance. with feedings. Daily care is horrific. Our family has personally WAITED for three hours to have someone come in to assist our loved one to the restroom. Every person in this facility deserves the best of care. Even a person with dementia understands mistreatment. It saddens our hearts to see human beings suffer because of this type care.

Negative experience: My mom transitioned from there to home was horrible. No communication, she wasn’t provided all the equipment she needed. The social worker never hardly reached out. We felt rushed to leave. Everything else was alright but the transition home was bad.

Negative experience: If you care anything for your loved one, this is not the facility for them to have to be at. Although there are a select few of the staff who actually cared, there were equally as many that didn’t, which was evident in how they cared for our loved one. The wait time after Pressing a call button for assistance from the staff was ridiculous. Especially frustrating when you go to their station and they’re sitting there on their personal phone, not talking but with it planted in their face. This happened more than once. Upon her being released, assistance was asked for putting our mother in the vehicle and their response was, snarky and sarcastically, “Oh no, she’s all yours now.” Also, our mother had fell and broken her hand, being the reason she was placed here for rehab. She was unable to assist herself, so having a call button was a necessity. Many times she was left without it in her reach. If you must put your loved one here, please check on them daily. And upon reading the reviews from this place, it seems the staff must’ve been instructed to give awesome reviews. How can you review a place that you’re actually working at, being your staff is part of the thing that gets reviewed? Of course they’d give raving reviews on themselves. This place is horrible. As shady as it seems, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the staff hadn’t taken the residents phones while they’re asleep and submit an awesome review on their behalf.

Fantastic experience: This place is by far way better than most nursing facilities that I have been to in Fayetteville (no offense) unless its s brand new one than that is a different story but when you walk into this place you cannot tell that it is a nursing facility. There is no wreaking stench or trash laying around. The cleanliness is great. My personal experience visiting here was great from staff to the residents. The lobby is always beautifully decorated. This place is wonderful.

Negative experience: I was in Autumncare of Fayetteville visiting my mom for Lunch we saw a CNA talking loud to a Nurse I found out later after asking a employee who was the CNA hollering at I was told she is the Nurse supervisor, the Nurse was saying calm down, the CNA was irate and unprofessional, she was talking 90 miles a hour, very disrespectful, I was afraid to leave my mom as well as another family member let’s not talk about the fowl language, No I’m not done LOL, the CNA pointed out the Administrator Was there and didn’t correct her CNA, I going back there tomorrow because I don’t trust that CNA with my mom, if she can’t control her temper in front of us, there is no telling what she would do when she’s alone with my mom. Would not recommend this facility, thats a form of verbal abuse in front of residents.

Negative experience: My mother was placed at this facility TWICE for rehab. Once in 2021 for a broken arm. That time it was explained that my brother and I are her POA and she has dementia therefore I had to be at her appointments so I could be aware of what the doctors were saying. They brought her to the wrong location for an appointment and left me sitting at the other location for an hour before finally contacting me! And thought it was a joke. This last time, she came home yesterday after being there for 2 weeks after a fall to regain some of her mobility. They did nothing for her. She came out the exact same way she went in. However, lied to me about her progress because I live in Florida now. I have tried to speak with administration and make a complaint about the staff and care and have yet to receive a call back. I am looking into who I need to call to report this place.

Negative experience: Autumn care does not treat employees especially the Cna’s and housekeepers with respect and fairness you go the extra mile and it’s still not good enough. I would not recommend putting in an application.

Negative experience: Worst place ever! They should be closed! Very unprofessional! Leave your loved ones in dirty and urine filled clothing. They yell at them and rough them up. Sorry to say I wouldn’t leave my dog there!

Negative experience: My diabetic aunt has been here for some time. I'm very unhappy with what's going on here. They haven't changed her clothes or her diaper, they don't bathe her, they don't keep her feet elevated and off the bed with a pillow (she'll lose her feet if she gets a sore on her heels because she's diabetic). She already has enough problems, she doesn't need to have her feet amputated on top of that because the staff can't even keep a pillow under her feet.

Negative experience: My 87-year-old grandmother was unfortunately placed in this facility when she was released from the hospital last month. Being extremely sharp still for her age, the things she described that we're going on in this place to others was despicable. Leaving clients in their rooms for hours begging for water or without the bedding replaced on their beds and stuck in wheelchairs for hours without attendance... I'm surprised this place is still open! The staff would consistently lie to her about other patients covid status as well as serve cold food that was often late. I wish I could give this place zero stars.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this facility! And so does my Mother, just ask her! She will tell you that is her home. The nursing staff and the Activities staff have really made the difference. During this hard time with the Covid they have keep me informed, as my mom was diagnosed with Covid a few days ago. This has been a hard time for everyone, staff and residents but they have bent over backwards to keep everyone cared for and informed!!

Fantastic experience: Autumn Care of Fayetteville is honestly the best facility I have ever worked in and I have worked in LTC for the past 11yrs. They have great staff and really do care about the residents. I am blessed to work with a great company and facility. I would recommend this facility to anyone, not only because I work with the company but they do care about all residents and families. I would make sure any of my loved ones would be placed at Autumn Care of Fayetteville if I ever had to have a loved one placed.

Negative experience: Believe it or not; at or about 1:23 on 23 May, 2021 today, there was a 4 ft snake on my window ledge, trying to get into my room. After pressing the ''call button'' and waiting at least a 30 min. an attendant responded. I gave a description of what I saw; as could be understood, the attendant fearfully and with caution, approached the window and did not see the reptile. She then stated she would inform her Supervisor of my concern. The snake reappeared in less than 15 minute and went back and forth, glazing through the glass; as it returned and departed 3 times. Using my mobile phone, I called the receptionist, told her my concerns and requested a Supervisor to come to my room. After at least 45 minutes the shift Supervisor came, I then explained what I had seen. Time later, she went outside, stood a great distance from the area in which the reptile was reported and briefly glanced at bushes. The Supervisor returned and stated ''I did not see a snake.'' With this, she became very brash and aggressive, questioning the truefullness and validity of my statement. In being absurd, she asked me how do I know it was a snake. I understood her fear and suggested that she should call animal control, to investigate. She replied, ''I am not going to have them come and tear up my garden.'' This is one of many instances, in which the administration was derelect fail to act upon, take responsibility, show passion or concern, and the ability to manage. The Supervisor suggested, this had occurred before on other occasions, with that in mind; it is clear the she was willing to pass on the problem, leaving it unsolved. Demonstrating incompetence, unknowledgeable of protocol , standard operating procedures or completely apathetic. This should be investigated to the fullest extent, and appropriate action should be taken. I certainly hope the afore mention actions, do not reflect the overall mission of Autumn Care of Fayetteville. Many thanks, Lamar B. Perkins

Negative experience: I wouldn't put a dog in that place. Nurses don't care, mom lost so much weight. Never received physical therapy. All her clothes were taken. I had to go find her clothes....they said they fed her , never got water to drink. I got very little help from anyone... If you care for your love one....this is not the place..

Negative experience: Please do not send your love one to Autumn Care. My dad shared with me how mean and unprofessional some of the staff treated him. I gave a one star only because it was two staff members that treated him with respect and dignity. He was there a little over a month, and it was a miserable time for him. They would sometimes keep his phone and call bell out of his reach. He was supposed to get rehab but they didn't follow through with it. Thank God we took him out of there. When he came home we noticed he had sores on him.

Negative experience: DO NOT have your loved one taken to this facility. When it's time to discharge from their facility & if you don't have the necessary assistive devices (in this instance, we needed a ramp), can't afford to provide it, they will refuse to discharge, keep your family member, charge you per day, then tell you they will call Adult Protective Services despite having family with a safe environment for them to go home to. The social worker lacks in her ability to provide resources, information, & education. This is not a way to treat patients or their families!

Negative experience: Dee was the first to help.me. she was always smiling when she came to my room PAT AND NEESE are the other two that were great. I had to wait some times 112 -hours to get help when I Pressed thr call button..there is no way to talk to someone in case of an emergency. The pt lady was very nice and helpful. The best thing about this place was the food..the best meals in Fay. Now the others need to go back to school..when they do answer a call dont say uoull Be back in a minute.and never show up

Negative experience: When my mother came home, none of her belongings were in the bag. It appeared to be someone else's belongings. Her clothes were stolen. I had her full name on the tags, these clothes are too big and they had her last name on the label (misspelled). I had constant problems with this facility. I was constantly told to call back because of meal hours. No one returned calls. As others have stated in this review. Do not send your loved ones to this facility. My mother was there 21 days and was never bathed.

Negative experience: Warning. Do not send your relatives to Autumn Care of Fayetteville if you want them taken care of.My 88 year old mother describes it as the most miserable 17 days of her life. From sitting in soiled diapers, poor pain management, rude staff (not all) to finally ending up in the emergency room with dehydration. Yes my mom almost died from dehydration under these peoples care.My mother is doing much better now after getting proper care. I am very concerned about those in there that are bed ridden and have no relatives to keep an eye on them. When the emergency bell is ring often nobody comes to check on patient. Very dangerous environment. CAVEAT EMPTOR

Negative experience: Staff needs more training. Leaves patients sitting in one position for hours. I know of one patient that laid in bed all night wet. I noticed patients call light on for ten to fifteen minutes before anyone would answer. Family would ring bell to get into building and someone would be sitting at the desk and wouldn't get up to push button. Some of the staff very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone.

Negative experience: Honestly, if I could give a zero for this facility I would, not saying that everyone in this facility is bad, but most of these people don't know how to properly care for the elderly. When I got my grandmother from this facility she wasn't being taking care of properly, they wasn't giving her medication on time and I can tell they didn't bath her like they was suppose to because of how she smelled and all the sores she have on her body. These people will smile in your face and act like they care about your loved ones when you are there, but after you are gone they just keep up the mistreatment. After they discharged her from the facility they were suppose to give her enough medication to last her until her doctor's appointment but they didn't, they just wrote her a bunch of prescriptions that she can't get filled until she see's her new doctor and get her insurance changed to the new state she is in. These people should be ashamed of themselves and I highly believe people shouldn't bring their loved ones to these people.

Negative experience: Every time my sister is admitted here, I have trouble reaching her. Right now I have been on hold for over 20 minutes. No one has come back to the phone, it's like they are ignoring me. I gave two points because my sister normally makes it out of there alive. Someone just picked up my line, said nothing, I said hello! and the phone hung up. Wow! no professional service via telephone.
