Negative experience: I can’t believe yall really sitting here lying talking about this place is nice, clean , and smell good this place is trash the most nastiest facility I’ve ever been to so as you walk through the door you smell piss it smell like a gang of roachs live there and they definitely do. I don’t see how yall can put your family members in a place like this the staff is unprofessional this whole place need to be in the ️ atp if I could give 0 stars I would they must have paid yall for a good review I wish I would’ve took pics while I was there this place is horrible

Fantastic experience: This facility was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I had a chance view this facility and honestly it’s one of the nicest places. It smells nice and is very clean. On my tour I had a chance to meet the different department administrators and they were able to answer my questions. This was a very comforting feeling for me. I’m looking forward to working with this facility in the care for my mother.

Fantastic experience: Whispering Pines Nursing Home is a great place to work at. The administrator Katidra, is lovely and very supportive of all the employees. She always has an open door policy. Everyone from Century Care Management is always supportive no matter the issue present. The staff is very compassionate and understanding. I love being part of the team at Whispering Pines Nursing Home.

Negative experience: If I could give this place a negative zero a thousand times a day. If you had to chose this place for your loved one or to work as a last resort still DON’T!!! It’s absolute nightmare and management is the worst. There is a special place beyond the deepest depths of hell for the DON. If them serving food with roaches in it isn’t enough can we talk about how they gaslight and lie to family members and call the police on them. God bless every one who has to reside there. I pray anyone who comes across this chooses better for their loved ones.

Negative experience: THIS PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST! HOW CAN YOU KNOW SOMEONE HAS FALLEN WITHOUT HAVE A EMERGENCY BUTTON! THE EMERGENCY BUTTON TURNS ON THE LIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR....OFFERS LAUNDRY SERVICE.....BUT DOESNT DO IT THEN ASKS IF THE PERSON HAS ENOUGH CLOTHES FOR 3 DAY TURN AROUND WHICH SHE DID! ADMIN IS RUDE IS ALL GET OUT! VERY DISRESPECTFUL THEY CLEARLY NEED A NEW JOB! DO NOT TAKE UR FAMILY HERE!!!!!!!!! OHHHHH AND MIGHT I ADD THERES NO ONE EVER IN THE HALL WAY IF U NEED SOMETHING....U HAVE TO HUNT SOMEONE DOWN TO GET A QUESTION ANSWERED

Negative experience: Our elderly mother was brutally assaulted by the so called “heroes” that are employed there.

Fantastic experience: Visited my older sister here, The place is first class by all accounts that I seen and heard, in my visits as well as my sister's report have been good. Friendly staff attentive and kind spirited. I am here now and knowing she has such kind friendly attentive people looking out for her is a comfort.

Negative experience: Administration is horrible to work with. There is no one is admissions acting in any sense of urgency. The only way to get a response from these people is of the hospital contacts them directly and even that can be hopeless. Apparently you'll need to contact Taylor the admin directly to receive any response. Jennifer Salinas does not follow through or respond unless it's a straight forward decline with no explanation.

Negative experience: Whispering pines in Fayetteville NC, on country club,IS THE WORST!!! I have never written a review before, but this place…SMH IS THE WORST!!! My mom is over 80yrs old, have incontinence and every time she has to go there is never anyone around. I have walked the halls trying to find someone and it’s like a ghost town. Went to the desk to ask for help and all that lady said was “they many be in another room. So my reply was…” you only have one person working this entire building “ she rolled her eyes and put her head down with her hand to her head like I was bothering her. (If that was your mom, I’m thinking) It’s like this every time me or my sisters come to visit. WHY DO WE HAVE TO ACT OUT FOR THESE PEOPLE TO DO THEIR JOBS!!! I had to threaten to start yelling out loud for help before she would get up and go find someone to help.SMH!!! I hope there are better homes with people working that actually care about these helpless seniors. I could go on and on with the stories that have happened here. But will it do any good! IDK. My mom had a stroke, can’t stand, or walk, and even once when my sister and I was there at the same time, it took them so long to get to my moms room that we tried to get her to the bathroom ourselves, no bedpan was in the room. This place is just AWFUL!!!! More stories, just not enough time in the day to tell you. Just please don’t put your loved ones in this place! Unless you can stay up here 24/7 to make sure they are getting the proper care.

Highland House, Autumn Care, and Haymont were also not able to assist with placement but were extremely helpful and very responsive unlike Whispering Pines.

Fantastic experience: Kind and friendly staff. Grateful to have them caring for my father-in-law.

Negative experience: I don’t know how the care is because I’m not physically there I had my mother placed there because she only had 2 options. The staff is very rude I got hung up on twice on 2 different occasions. The staffs attitudes are ridiculous. Please don’t place your loved ones here I pray she’s getting treated right.

Negative experience: Worst place ever. And I know this review won't be posted. You abused and chemically restrained our mother. And falsified her records to your favor. Your staff is mean and uncaring. Karma time.

Negative experience: Administration is HORRIBLE. The Director of Nursing doesn’t appear to care about her staff. Patient to CNA ratio was horrendous which hurts the employees as well as the residents and administrators do not appear to care. DON will see you struggling and walk right past you without even acknowledging you. Residents did not get changed or showered routinely because of the low staff ratio and high turnover due to overall poor treatment by Cumberland care inc. They also had a nurse have intercourse with a residents family member in the facility in front of the resident and no repercussions came to the nurse because she was friendly with the DON. They need a change in ALL administration ASAP or don’t bother taking your family member because ambiance does not take up for subpar care.

Negative experience: Worse staff ever.... don’t ever put your love ones in there. They don’t take care of the people.. or check up on them. They don’t make sure they are comfortable in there or help when needed to be help.... it’s sad it look Like they just in it for the money instead of the people. If you don’t love or care for people then you don’t need to work in healthcare... this place need to do better or hire people who actually care and love for the people.

Negative experience: I would definitely *not* recommend Whispering Pines. My mother was there for the last 6 months of her life. The staff were horrible to her and neglectful. One staff member hung up on me one day when I called to check on her. She declined so much after being there. I regret sending her there. I wish I could give zero stars.

Fantastic experience: Can I just say WOW! The staff here are amazing; from the nursing assistants and nurses on the floor all the way up to the administrator. Everyone always has a smile on their face and are always so respectful and nice. You can tell they truly love what they do. I would definitely recommend this facility!

Positive experience: Nice place and well ran by Ms . Melinda. They pay is way less than what I was expecting for my experience. My first review was accurate, but I have a very unpleasant update. I was wrongfully terminated because I went on vacation. I followed protocol to request the time off, but was told that I was not approved for the coverage when I was on the highway on my way to Florida. I was not notified beforehand that I wasn't approved and was expected to work that night but I wasn't able to because I was already out of the state. The way the Director of Nursing and the scheduler played it was very shady and unprofessional. I was working for almost a full month before I even got my employee number to be able to clock in and out and the lady in the business office tried to penalize me for it when it was her responsibility to make sure I had it, but she was never available for me to get it from her.

Negative experience: Do not put love ones in hard to get help you have some not caring nursing there rehab is good but nursing staff it's another story especially on weekends and at night.They started out good they do not know how to take care of patients who have Foley catheters

Fantastic experience: Whispering Pines took great care of my Step Father. Their rehabilitation facility is excellent. The administrators and staff really care about their residents comfort and happiness.

Fantastic experience: My mother and law took candy to the staff because she said the staff took such good care of her life partner for 25 years. Although this man was at the end of his life, about 85 I think. The staff seemed very compassionate about helping them both during this time.

Negative experience: It took me few years to report my own experience with my own family member and one observation with one resident whom I don’t know. I took my parents in for 5 days of respeace stay. Our dad was bed-ridden for few years but never had bed sores. He developed bedsore under Whispering pines 5 day care. Found feces under his nail and around his bottom while visiting him every day and I washed dad while visiting. I’ve complained about why they don’t keep him clean and I had to find feces everyday with his soiled bottom. They all were blaming someone else. Either previous shift fault or they didn’t know. Second day of visit, I heard a man moaning and yelling for help. I looked through the door way because it was open. Man was on the cold floor bleeding from somewhere I didn’t know. I called out to one of the staff member that was visible. She came by and told me they already called ambulance. I asked her to please give him pillow and cover him with blanket because he was visibly shaking. He told me he was cold and he can’t move. She say okay only answering without action. Two more staff came by and one that looks like in charge was rude and telling me to close the door with mean demeanor and that they were waiting for ambulance. As I was getting his pillow and and blanket rude staff flat out told me I was not allowed to cover him with his blanket in his room. I went to dad’s room but because it was bothering me I was going in and out of dad’s room to check on gentleman asking staff so many times if they really called ambulance to make sure they were coming. No one was around him. More than an hour passed still no ambulance and gentleman was left in the room alone. Rude staff member told another staff to close the door. It took them close to 2 hours. I was upset for their lack of compassion and wondering why ambulance took so long to come. I will never recommend this place!!! There are few that are good but my experience left me with very scary feeling.

Negative experience: Do not plan to leave your loved ones here unless you plan to stay with them night and day. Even if you are with them it is almost impossible to get help . I know I ran the buzzer to get help for my mother to go to the bathroom and sometimes waited at least an hour for someone to come. .I know they are understaffed. I sometimes had to go out in the hall and. ask again for help.
