Negative experience: This place may seem like a nice and friendly environment, but don’t attend there if you have kids. They will write your kids up for crying, running around in the play center, & even for asking for extra snack. But won’t tell you anything about it. They will charge you for your membership then after proceed to tell you how your child is BANNED from the play center for 3 months. Just a horrible place an not family friendly at all. Everyone has bad days but excluding a child for bad days is ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: I LOVE this place and the green calming atmosphere upstairs. The locker room is clean and well taken care of. As a plant lover, I notice there are many plants everywhere. Staff are welcoming and friendly. They are very helpful if I have any questions on personal training, nutrition, programs, and locker rental. I love their daycare. My baby has separation anxiety and I overheard the teacher comforting her. When it was time to pick up my baby girl, she didnt want to leave and was happy.

Negative experience: Just called the healthplex to get information about the membership and the gym. Had to leave a message; that’s probably the one department that should always answer, but I guess they don’t want new clients. When I called back I asked to speak to the manager and I told her to please not get offended and suggested that to her. She said she could help with memberships and then did not say anything else. I had to literally prompt her to give me any information. She was not one but enthusiastic nor did she care. She gave me a few specs about the gym and then silence…. I asked her if someone with more enthusiasm could give me a call back, she got offended and hung up. What happened to customer service, what happened to answering the phone with a smile, what happened to being informative. Especially at the healthplex…. Sad I would love for someone to contact me that actually cares because I would love to join. Oh and also I also own a business in town.

Negative experience: Extremely unwelcoming staff at certain times of the day that like to abuse power and pick on little kids. Me and my son came in and paid for a day pass. A staff member walked in and said I had to be directly next to my 14 year old kid and he couldn’t play 4v4 with us. Being in the gym with him wasn’t enough but I had to be directly beside him. What kind of rules are these? Was going to get a membership for me, my wife, and son but I doubt that is likely now. Congrats on losing business.

Fantastic experience: Been a member off and on for several years, and don't remember a single serious issue. Good equipment, sufficiently friendly staff (they should try to learn names however), good pool, good gym (games by local jocks sometimes go on too long), plenty of parking, good climate control. Drop the price or sell tickets for those of us who come and go as we go off to do other things, and this would be the perfect gym. As it is, it is the best I have ever belonged to and that includes some very good ones in big cities. And I have never had any problem with a change to the contract. We did check out several of the other health clubs and were dismayed with how dirty they seemed and how cramped.

Fantastic experience: Ive been a member at both golds and omni gyms... healthplex is far superior to both. Its cleaner. Nicer equipment. Better guest. And the staff are amazing. It's a lil more tgan some others but its definitely worth it. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Including the free on base gyms.

Fantastic experience: I love Healthplex. The instructors/classes are beyond wonderful. The front staff is so friendly with Hellos when entering and Goodbyes when exiting. They are always available. Candace ( customer service/enrollment) is the greatest. She always has a smile and answers to my questions( even stopping her in the parking lot ). Thanks Candace for always helping me to get the most out of my membership!! Health plex has a great staff and I am glad to be a member.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym. The staff is very professional and friendly. The childcare workers actually pay attention to your kids and if anything happens they will tell you right away. Proper supplies is always available to wipe down the machine as well as the staff wiping the equipment after you're finished. It's never too crowed that you can't get a good workout in and they also have security roaming the premises.

Negative experience: Continuous monthly billing although membership was cancelled in writing. Shut down during COVID then resume bank withdrawals without authorization. Refused to credit or compensate by any means. Will be contacting my attorney.

Negative experience: Billing dept is out of wack. Have been billed for four months even after showing them payment receipts and checks they received from me and deposited. Quit in Jan 2022 and since have received 3 requests for payments. Next step is attorney.

Negative experience: It’s no point of getting a membership if you just want too hoop. They take half the court sometimes&& the other times they barely let you run side games because of people being competitive in a competitive sport… Weird huh? Makes no sense to give passes to people who clearly want to hoop just to make it a shoot around only when it’s full court or sides full court!!

Fantastic experience: They have motorcycle parking up front. Nice steam room although they removed the hot tub before I became a member. Swimming pool for swimming laps not for children playing just fyi. They have a huge basketball court.This gym is very well maintained.

Negative experience: They will steal your money. They didn't close my membership when they closed for Covid and then charged me for 6 months of membership even after confirming I didn't use the facility at all. Marcus refused to help and instead laughed as he stole 300 dollars of my money.

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent gym. It’s much more than that though and THAT is why it costs more. The costs are CLEARLY explained as well as their policies. In that case you really cannot go wrong. For someone like me, a gym of this caliber is necessary because if I go too far with my exercise, they are trained to respond accordingly. They are also friendly and it’s not a “social scene” like other gyms. You come here for a purpose and that is - to improve/enhance your health. That’s it.

Fantastic experience: 5 gym. I love the atmosphere and the classes that are offered, especially the aquatics. They now offer after 5pm aquatic classes for those of us that work during the day. I wish the jacuzzi was still available, but they do have the steam sauna. You can't help but love the in-door track. From my observations, this is one of the cleanest gyms. The staff is pleasant and inviting. I love the fact that they acknowledge your entrance and exit, saying "have a good workout " or "have a gea t day". Clean towels are always available. The warm water aerobic class is the icing on the cake.

Fantastic experience: I was very happy to be able to return to the Health Plex. As a long time member, I was devastated when the “Plex” closed because of COVID. Since reopening our family has returned to our beloved Plex and family that we have made over almost 20 years. My husband and I feel very safe there. The staff has taken every precaution to ensure that we are all given the opportunity to exercise in a sanitary and healthy environment. It saddens me that many members have not yet returned. I would like to encourage you to come back. You are missed.

Positive experience: I am, from what I was rudely called from an instructor of the body pump class, a “newbie” to the gym. I have had a membership at another gym for 5 years and have a membership at Orange Theory for a few months now. With that said, I have had my share of different personalities when it comes to instructors. But I have never felt so disappointed or even angry at an instructor when I was in Bonnie’s body pump class today. My first day as a member and she made it clear to the class that there were “newbies”. Bonnie also made rude remarks and rolled her eyes to the ones who would do her instructions incorrectly. It was in such a rude manor that not only I, but two other females in the class felt unsettled. To top it off, she loudly made fun of the “newbies” with a fellow “regular” of the gym as everyone starts walking out at the end of the class. I am deeply concerned with how many people she has made feel unwelcome. I truly hope somehow she understands how discouraging, unprofessional, and, immature she acted and also how embarrassing it is for her to represent such a great gym while acting in such manor. With that said, I am a huge fan of the rest of the staff! The front desk is nothing short of welcoming. You will find that the equipment is top notch and there is more than enough gym space for everyone. The biggest plus for me is there is a track inside that goes around the gym floor as you can’t find that at just any gym. I have heard great things about many other instructors and look forward to taking their classes. This gym is perfect for me to balance my every need for a healthier life.

Fantastic experience: Not sure what some of the comments below were talking about. My son and I go in and we are greeted by name. When we leave we are always told “have a good night”. There are no contracts in response to another comment. My son who is 19 looks forward to go everyday and said it is the best investment. It is a clean and friendly atmosphere to focus on being the best you that you can be.

Positive experience: I arrived at appointment early, but had to drive all the way around to the main entrance because the Physical Therapy entrance did not allow me to use the restroom. I was told they could not hear my knock. There should me more attention toward the client. Older clients would have been seriously inconvenienced.

Negative experience: i like this place, but you can use the place unless you pay a high monthly fee. i have suggested a pass card..you pay for so many visits, and your card is punched each visit,,and if you bring a friend, then its 2 punches. I am one of the few that could go several times a day.. i might be able to go once or twice a week. so a monthly fee is not feasible to me. There is only 2 places i know of in town where you can go swimming. the Helathplex or the YMCA. again not worth the monthly fee to me. I think if the Healthplex had a passcard system, it might bring in more people. and if you bring a friend, they might be interested in a passcard also. Does anyone else think this might be a neat idea ? think out of the box.. if you only go to a place like this once a week, would you want to pay a high monthly fee.. you're paying for 30 days of use but only visit maybe 2x a week.. i don't see that as feasible for anybody..my money is precious to me. comments welcome...

Negative experience: My 2nd day and when asking a question the lady at the front desk acts like she needs another job. Doesnt acknowledge me and gives me a simple no. Before I walked off she points at a suggestion box. Ask someone else and they tell me better balls are behind desk. All I wanted to know is if I could bring my own ball since all are oval and not in any condition to play or workout seriously. Heard not much happens when filling suggestion and from the way she was quick to direct me out her face and to a box, wouldnt doubt it. Always remember u dont know who or what someones going thru. Apologies can come too late.

Negative experience: Brought in my friend Elvis about 3 times before and not once have they asked for an ID. This time I went with my mother and Elvis and I and this time I had forgotten my keys, which has my gym pass on it. We get to the front desk and this asian lady that said she was the “supervisor” asked my buddy Elvis for his ID. Quickly question, my mother and I said at the same time ”they’ve never asked for an ID”. She said “it’s mandatory and all guests need them”. Now Elvis is a minor and with that he doesn’t have an ID, other than his school ID which was at home. Not once have I had a problem with the HealthPlex but now all of a sudden they want to go and pull a stunt like this. Angrily I open the door and said “screw this place” and left. HORRIBLE PLACE, HORRIBLE PEOPLE

Negative experience: I appreciated the facilities when I lived in Fayetteville. However, when I asked to cancel my account, I was not informed that I was supposed to do so 18 days prior to the date when money is usually deducted. Other gyms will pro-rate payment when patrons move. In this case, the money was simply taken after I had been told my membership would be terminated as requested. Now, the manager says I can continue to use the gym this month as if it is reasonable to expect someone to endure a two hour commute just to work out. When customers ask that their accounts be cancelled, those accounts should be cancelled from that point on, not 30 days later. Lots of people have to move on fairly short notice in this city. I belonged to this gym for years, but I can no longer recommend it since this business practice does not appear to be designed with the consumer’s interests in mind.

Positive experience: They have staff that will show you how to use equipment, but they are not individual trainers. The pool is it's best feature, in my opinion. Their smoothies are exquisite. Pricing is very high. My main complaint is that the handicapped locker room is used by both men, women and very capable staff. They have family accommodations, however the families use the handicapped one. There is no alarm pull or any other way of notifying staff of a personal health problem. I almost fainted during a visit and I knew of no way to inform staff I needed help.

Positive experience: This gym isn’t too shabby. There isn’t too much when it comes lifting equipment, a solitary squat rack stands in a cramped room full of machinery. However, bearing in mind the target demographic this gym has everything most people would need. Nevertheless, the cost of the facility does not justify the dumbbells stopping at 100lbs. A very solid 3/5.

It has all the amenities for lifting, running, exercising, zumba, yoga, pool, snack bar, day care, and more. Great place to incorporate in your daily or weekly routine and schedule and considerably economic and strategically centric for the Fayettevillians.

Fantastic experience: I love the healthplex and all their ammenities. The whirlpool is my favorite along with the steamroom and the swimming pool. I get a chance to meet a lot of people at water aerobics. It's exciting to see everyone exercising! The little babies were in the pool swimming and that was a treat to see. The healthplex has exercises for every age. I just love the healthplex! I go to the gym everyday!

Fantastic experience: Top of the line gym, with excellent standards for instructors, hygiene (it's part of the hospital system, so it has to adhere to hospital level cleanliness standards), a great variety of classes, great mix of people (no meat heads), a pool, a basketball court, an indoor track, and an excellent daycare center provided for those with small children. I have been going there for 6 years, and I can't say enough good things about this place!

Fantastic experience: Place is rarely crowded and the staff always greet me by name despite my stoic and shy nature. They are always happy to help and the kids care area has the best staff of any kid care facility I have used in the past. Worth the extra, it really is.

Fantastic experience: A great place to work out! They have the best staff, equipment, and classes. They are open early, on weekends, and most holidays. The Health Plex offers well over 100 pieces of equipment. There are so many extra features: lockers, an Olympic swimming pool, warm water therapy pool, steam rooms, massage area, whirlpools, showers, snack bar offering healthy smoothie options, and so much more! The variety of classes is amazingly. There's something for every age!
