Positive experience: I attended Maxwell for two months for rehab on my ankle and had a great experience with Jason. His methods effectively got me back to where I wanted to be, and he was truly the reason I stayed at the clinic for so long. I would give him 5 stars. He made a painful experience much more manageable. However, I encountered issues with another therapist whose name I do not know. She seemed to discriminate against me based on her experiences with others in my occupation. Additionally, I had several unsatisfactory interactions with the office manager. One particular instance was especially frustrating: when I called to cancel an appointment due to a flare-up of my medical condition, the office manager charged me a $30 no-show fee because I didn’t provide 24 hours' notice. Despite explaining the situation to her, right in front of me she raised her voice to her employee to insist on charging the fee, which I found extremely unprofessional. These issues led me to cancel the remainder of my sessions and seek treatment elsewhere. However, if you choose to go to Maxwell, I recommend working with Jason for a positive experience.

Fantastic experience: Participated in speech therapy for 2 months. During that time, I discovered that Maxwell therapy has a variety of techniques and tools for relieving pain in the body. Dealing with peripheral neuropathy in my hands and feet was offered the Rebuilder electrodes. I didn't have numbness or tingling in my hands or feet during sleep that evening. I highly recommend checking this place out. All the staff that I met were engaging and informative.

Negative experience: The therapist’s with this agency are skilled and works well with children. HOWEVER, the “gatekeepers” the receptionist and office managers are very rude and condescending. They are disrespectful when speaking to the over the phone especially when they have made a mistake with scheduling.

Fantastic experience: We went to Maxwell for "feed therapy" When we started I was about to give up breast feeding as it was so painful. For 7 weeks it hurt from start to finish, durring and after. After only a few sessions the difference was night and day. Not only did the pain stop, my milk changed and my son got fuller feeds and even started to sleep longer! We got to work w/ Mrs Ann she was so kind and compassionate. She took the time to focus on our needs and provided therapy that worked best for our family. Not only did she work with my son and I but she helped my spouse with exercises to prevent the milk from spilling out of his mouth while on the bottle. She gave us exercises to do at home and was available for any and all questions or concerns. We are so happy we went to Maxwell and proud to say we are still going strong on our breastfeeding journey. The facility itself is kept clean and has private rooms for feed therapy. The front desk receptionist was always so nice and worked with our schedules offering early morning and evening slots, even scheduling sessions when my spouse went in for his PT! Overall great experience! Mrs Ann was absolutely wonderful to work with & we highly recommend her and Maxwell therapy center.

Jill is fantastic, has a lot of tools in her tool box to help vs just standard PT. She is very sensitive and caring. Goes above and beyond other experiences I’ve had. Top notch.

Fantastic experience: Maxwell is a wonderful place to send your children who need help with daily living or just to get back in motion. My child has autism and they complimented me on how well I work with her and how much I knew about her and understood. They’re very patient, kind, and thorough. The wait times aren’t long and your child will see the same person they don’t switch up as much so they child can be comfortable.

Megan and Phallon have already helped learn 30 new words and master several more sounds, and he is starting to string words together into sentences. Fantastic experience: My 5 year old daughter receives OT at Max Well Flint. We have been very pleased with everything from the first call for an appointment. The staff is kind and caring. The therapists tell me why they are doing different exercises and what they do to help. I appreciate knowing and being a part of each appointment.

Once I graduated, I left with an at-home care plan with an app to help me continue to get stronger. I would highly recommend this place for physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: We've been going here for over 4 years and have gone through many different therapists for my ASD daughter. When my son needed speech, I immediately wanted him to go here. They're kind and the therapists and staff work hard for you.

Negative experience: Michelle and Taylor make the Linden rd location difficult to deal with. Today I was told they don’t have to communicate with me when they change my son normal schedule and don’t have to notify me when they don’t put him on the schedule at all. They have retaliated against me for complaining about them changing and moving his times up and Not sending any type of notification/communication that he had a change to his appointments. I was also told today that even though my child has had the same schedule for a year that they have to put in the other 200 kids they have so he wasn’t scheduled. When I asked why he’s not being scheduled out like normal I was told “I’m not listening and hung up on.” Though I confirmed his appointments last week for this week.

Negative experience: Very sad that I have to move my 1 year old daughter to a new office who was loving the clinical staff and just now thriving. Michelle, it doesn’t hurt to be kind. I smile all the time even when the day doesn’t seem like a good one. We are previous patients from the old office my son had speech here as well. Getting scheduled for next visits or asking for a print out is the worst, theres so much attitude and a “CAN I HELP YOU?” FIRM. Coming from 12 years in a pediatric office I can tell you that front desk is the face of the office, it can make or break the practice.

Fantastic experience: I have been to Max Well Therapy several times throughout the years, for tendonitis, spine and sciatica pain, and vertigo. I have always had really good results. They have excellent massage therapists, too!

Fantastic experience: My son has been coming here for almost 4 years no so we have built up a relationship with many of the therapists. But also with the receptionists. And they are amazing. If I ever have issues with appointments they work very hard to make it so we can either get in a different day that will work for us or are extremely understanding when we have to cancel.

Fantastic experience: When I started with my therapy here at Maxwell therapy I was having a lot of pain and discomfort with my rotator cup in my left shoulder. I could not lift my arm over my head it hurt so much. My doctor said let try therapy to avoid surgery. I am able to lift my arm with out pain and a lot more movement. I am extremely thankful for Maxwell therapy and would highly recommend them to anyone

Fantastic experience: As I'm getting older, I need physical therapy more than ever. I've always been happy with my other experiences with physical therapy, but at Maxwell, I have learned so much more. Strengthening my core has greatly improved my back pain. All the PTA's are great and are very knowledgeable. Each of them bring great suggestions that have helped me tremendously. I would highly recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: Great place for any therapies, I could barley move my right arm, shoulder last day was yesterday in 5 months I’m back !! loved everyone, Jill, Janine, Jason and Del!!

Negative experience: Shady billing on several counts. Make sure you are clear on costs before starting. We came there 2x weekly for 2.5 months. There were multiple times we were charged a different co-pay amount, but no one could tell us why. It wasn’t until 2.5 months into our 3 month plan of care that we find out our true co-pay amount is actually almost twice what they were usually charging. When I asked the biller why it took 2.5 months to figure this out, she didn’t give me a clear reason. Apparently you sign something at the start of care saying costs are subject to change as they are just an estimate until insurance co-pays are confirmed. Pretty poor business to conveniently confirm 2.5 months in that your customer actually owes you twice what they’ve been paying, especially after we questioned it a month earlier and it wasn’t corrected at that time. When I told her I didn’t find that right be notified of this cost at almost the end of our care plan, as we may have chose to quit coming a long time ago, she said we were legally bound to pay it. So, a month later, we get a bill in the mail from MaxWell with the final charges - the remainder of all the co-pays they didn’t charge us correctly on or notify us about for 2.5 months. Hundreds of dollars and a late payment fee. Late? This is the first bill we received since we stopped coming over a month ago. The therapy was pretty good but the billing pretty much ruined it for us. Just know what costs you’re getting into before you get too far in. For us, we will go somewhere else next time. In response to Maxwell’s response**-- We agree with calling our own insurance, which we DID do, which is why we questioned the different copay amounts being charged, and it could never be explained to us. Bc if we didn’t pay it at the start of the visit, we couldn’t have therapy that day. And every time we questioned it, they told us they would put a message in for the biller to look at. Never have we been to a medical office of any sorts that charged us various copay amounts throughout our care, with final confirmation of copay amount after 2.5 months and somewhere near 15+ visits.

Fantastic experience: They go above and beyond to help you reach your goals! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable with the most effective equipment. The Red Lazer therapy is Awesome totally reduced my pain and inflammation. Thank you Maxwell Therapy! Jason and Lisa are the best.

Fantastic experience: I went to Maxwell for physical therapy on my right hip. I had a really good experience working with all of the therapists. It was a clean, professional environment and everyone was friendly. It helped me a lot with the pain and discomfort I was having.

Fantastic experience: Great place and great staff,was at their old location years back for Sciatica which they fixed me right up ! Seen them again at their new location for core strengthening because of having back surgery, I highly recommend Maxwell Physical Therapy you won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: Janine Smith is one of the most intelligent and knowledgable physical therapists I have had. We discuss medical research studies and advance level topics in biochemistry, genetics, and technology that are potently practical in my every day life and recovery. The PT clinic actually purchased a whole body vibration machine based on my continous recommendation of having one, which is very cool and rare to see such an active followup with patient's input.

Negative experience: Had been taking my son here for close to a year for speech therapy and didn’t have any problems until now. The therapists are great, it’s Michelle at the front desk you have to watch out for. She’s VERY rude and definitely needs to work on her people skills. They ended up kicking my son out of his program because he was sick and missed a few days. I would also like to add that I did have a doctors note but they still didn’t care and I can’t put him back into the program.

Fantastic experience: I went to Maxwell Physical Therapy for over 90 days for vertigo in late 2012 and early 2013. I went to the Grand Blanc office and worked with Jill and Fran. Jill did my therapy and was very kind. I was pretty much a mess when I first started going there. She was very patient with me and very caring in what i could or couldn't do. She was very encouraging and she actually figured out what was wrong with me months before my doctors did. Fran is awesome. She gives a great massage and she always has a smile on her face and more than willing to do what is needed to be done to accommodate your schedule. If I still lived in the area, I would absolutely go to them again. They are the best!!

Fantastic experience: I just completed my Physical Therapy here this week. The staff is awesome, they all are great. They gave me the best exercises there and stretching and balance exercises to do at home. I’ve gone from not sleeping because of hip pain to pain free sleep. Because of my “advanced age” they don’t want to do another hip replacement and this has made my life a whole lot easier. Thank you everyone. You are all great.

I am extremely displeased with how Jill runs her program. Since it won't let me reply to the owner. I'll be more specific... Where is the explanation for 10 different speech specialists over a period of 3 years? where is the explanation for no appointments for the last 3 weeks?

Fantastic experience: I am very happy and satisfied with the service and treatment I am receiving currently and have received in he past with Max Well Physical Therapy! I have been to many different professionals throughout the state for pain management or after surgical care and I keep returning to Max Well because of the knowledge, kindness & professionalism that I fail to see at other facilities. That’s in large part due to Kaitlin Hill. I give her extremely high marks! She’s very knowledgeable, friendly and instructs her staff well. When I first started several years back I was in immense back and leg pain, hunched over walking with a cane. With the help of back manipulations, stretching and a strategic workout plan I was able to stand up straight and experience much less pain thanks to Kaitlin and the support staff. And now I’ve returned after shoulder surgery and I’m fully confident that the Max Well team will get me to 100% They have a great new facility that I’m enjoying very much! Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Max Well Therapy! I went there for pelvic floor physical therapy after having my two children. My PTA, Carissa, was amazing! She helped me strengthen my core, hips, and pelvic floor. I no longer have the extreme hip and glute pain I was experiencing after my pregnancies. I cannot say thank you enough for working with me and helping relieve my pain!!!

Fantastic experience: I was unable to walk due to extreme pain stemming from a lower back injury. A few weeks after treatment here, I was pain free and able to walk again. I received treatment in the Grand Blanc location. The facility is very modern and clean. They actually had employees walking around cleaning the whole place throughout the day,, every appointment I noticed. All the therapists were extremely knowledgeable and even though I worked with 3 or 4 throughout my recovery, they were all on the same page while helping me along this process. Megan, Clarissa and Michelle are the best at what they do. They took the time to really learn about my exact concerns and development an individualized approach to get me back to wellness. It's a very comfortable and welcoming environment in the Grand Blanc clinic.

Fantastic experience: Maxwell Therapy has been treating my kids 6 year old twins) with speech and occupational therapy for over a year now. I love that they are flexible with my schedule. The therapists take my concerns into consideration and offer me tips and tricks with things we can work on at home.

Fantastic experience: I started physical therapy almost 5 months after having foot surgery for a bunion on my left foot. The pain and immobility wasn't improving with the limited movement I could do on my own. I searched online for local PT offices, narrowing my search to those who would accept my health insurance, and finding an established business with topnotch therapists who use a team approach to address every aspect of my care. MaxWell Therapy was an excellent choice. I can't say enough great things about my healing journey over the past three months. Each staff member walked me through every step of my recovery, adding their own creative insights to optimize my experience. I highly recommend MaxWell Therapy!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend for anyone who has had an auto accident or any other trauma related injury, especially PTSD. I was in a catostrophic accident, my car spun nearly 20 times and flipped 8 times. I broke my neck, my shoulder and sustained a traumatic brain injury. Since April 2020 I have been in therapy (PT, OT, Speech, Vision therapy, and exposure therapy for PTSD) on and off. This is the fourth place I have tried and I am finally seeing life changing results after only a little over a month. Jill is the most incredible physical therapist. She uses this technique with massage that helps to release trauma associated with injury. It improves pain, mobility, and relieves anxiety and other PTSD related symptoms. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Have had many sessions of Physical Therapy at other places over the years and it was always cookie cutter, get in, do a bunch of exercises, and get out. Boring, painful and never worked. Then I got referred out to Maxwell for a shoulder tear and Bursitis and for the first time the Physical Therapy is working. The people at Maxwell are wonderful, very hands on with many different types of therapy designed to help you get better. More one on one instead of doing three or four patients at a time. The massage and myofascial release is a wonder. They pay attention to pain levels and never make you over do it. Very personalized. Love this place, will be my go to because as I get older seems there is always something that needs working on.

Fantastic experience: The treatment I received from the therapist was better than I've had in the past at other therapy clinics. Each therapist brought their own individual style and knowledge yet incorporated what the therapist before had planned. I could tell I made improvements over time. Therapists would suggest ways to incorporate the exercises at home and give ideas on the best way to use the bands that I was given at home. Super personalities for all who work there.

Negative experience: The owner is not knowledgeable and she lives in fear with her temp scanner behind her mask that's recirculating waste from the body into the mask and back into the body. Not really a place for natural healing or health Update : they have terminated me being a patient because of this review.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Max Well Therapy is very knowledgeable and has helped me tremendously with my pain, swelling and mobility. Along with learning different techniques to manage my Rheumatoid arthritis I have been getting laser therapy on my hands that relieves some of the pain and swelling in my joints. I am very pleased with the outcome.
