Fantastic experience: I am a resident of Laurel Wellness. I am grateful for the way they treat me and specifically Activities department. They have a lot of patience and they care for the people in here. we have a lot of Party's. Thank you Jessica and all the staff!

Negative experience: Smells very bad in there

Fantastic experience: Carolina was my first contact to Laurel Wellness Center when I asked to be transferred to Admissions. She was a breathe of fresh air! After going through so much opposition at Loma Linda hospital with case management, my moms primary doctor told me to call nursing homes on my own and I’m glad I did, and I’m glad another nursing home with no availability referred me to Laurel. My mom is 96 and needed more care. I was in tears and distraught when Loma Linda Hosp case manager couldn’t help me but Carolina was so kind and gave me so much hope. She said they would be able to help us and they did. She made it simple and advised me what to do. Shortly after I got a call from Samantha from her office who reached out to me as well. That same night my mom was transferred to Laurel Wellness Center!!!! A few days later I met Kyle, the Administrator, to help direct me where to express my concerns. He was relatable and understanding. He introduced me to the supervisor over the CNAs, Alma. I was able to communicate my concerns being that my mom was new and I wanted to make sure her needs were met. It’s been one week that my mom has been there and she is being well cared for. My mom tells me that everyone treats her well. She doesn’t always like the food but most of it is good. The kitchen provides Ensure drinks which is great so mom can drink one of these if she doesn’t want to eat. The CNAs are very kind. Celeste and Cecilia are two of my moms assigned CNAs and have been angels and taking great care of my mom, changing her and getting her off the bed with the hoyer lift which is no easy task. All the CNAs have been good. I appreciate them so much and thankful for their hard work. Today Diane, one of the CNAs or LVNs, made my mom feel love by singing to her as she helped get her into the hoyer lift and then sang Karaoke with her in the dining room. Susan and Amelia the CNAs were a blessing too. They were able to get mom out of bed without the hoyer lift and help me get her ready to be taken to dining room. I can tell management is good here. I see them having their meetings every morning which is very important. This shows me there is organization and good leadership. Every office person I’ve spoken to is courteous friendly and helpful. Andrew the nurse has been amazing too! He helped my mom get back on her bed during the busy lunch time. What I really like are the activities. There is a calendar full of daily activities. Activity Director is very nice. Mom likes the Bible studies, prayer and karaoke. I’ve been able to sit with her in the front outside patio so she likes that as well. It’s never easy having to admit your elderly loved one into a facility, but with this team at Laurel Wellness Center/Convalescent Home, I feel she is in good hands. I can always call and check on her. I would love it if there was a phone in her room so I could talk to her. That would be amazing. But I guess you can’t have it all. God bless everyone at Laurel! Negative experience: Horrible location ! It’s disgusting inside not well kept at all. I don’t know how this place is still in business. There’s patients, food trays, and gurneys in the hallways. That building needs a full remodel. I seen roaches in the room. To take vitals they use the same wrist BP machine on every patient. It’s summer and it’s hot inside, it doesn’t feel like the AC stays on. They have a sign on the door stating 8/9/24 there was 5 employees who had covid. There was employees on their phone texting or on social media outside of the patients door. There’s no log of who goes in and out of that facility, anyone could just go in and out as they pleased. The entire atmosphere there felt completely off, you could tell that patient care and sanitation is not a priority. I’m truly surprised that the health department hasn’t stepped in yet. Please beware of this location. I didn’t last more than a couple of hours in this location before taking my loved one out.

Negative experience: The low rating is because my son in law has been in the facility and has had no p s and this is suppose to be a Rehabilitating facility please be sure if you’re going to write a statement you should abide by it

Fantastic experience: The service and staff here at Laurel Wellness has been great, nurses and staff are very attentive and hopeful. I have been here for over a month and since the day I arrived I have not encountered any issues with the nurses nor staff. My medications, and rehab are always provided on a timely manner, they've always make me feel welcome. One of the things I love about Laurel is participating in daily activites, with other residents, great staff.

Negative experience: My father is currently at this facility and although I have no complaints with the staff taking care of my father there social services team as been non existent with what we are asking prior to his discharge which is the coming Saturday we are waiting on a prescription from the doctor for a hospital bed as well as paperwork I sent over for fmla so that I can take the time off to take care of him the next 2 weeks I sent it last week had a conversation and now no one will return my calls or emails I do not recommend this facility at all and will be glad once we get him out of there

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing place and great addition to the community. Amazing family ran business and outstanding customer service. Everyone needs to check them out and support small business.

Negative experience: This place is a pigs sty! They don't keep anything clean here I walked the halls to see my dad they do not keep the floors clean the rooms are tiny and they don't keep the AC on??? Last I checked they're needed to keep the bacteria lvls low, it's hot and humid inside! This place is not sanitary, nor is it the best place for a loved one. The building is old and pretty much runned down and needs a complete restoration. I am surprised a health inspector or anyone from the state or county has given an evaluation of this place yet. If they have they're doing their job wrong because I I were an inspector I'd have this place shut down in a heartbeat.

Negative experience: This place is not a warm & caring environment! My cousin lasted ONE DAY!!! The level of care was unbelievable, no compassion for their patients. I am so thankful that he was taken out ASAP. Be aware people if you are considering using this facility.

I have reached out to supervisors on site, (apologies for any misspellings) including Mantreet (3/29/24) and Illiana (3/27). We have been on the brink of calling 911 because the administration and barriers to accessing care were that bad and negatively impacting care. Thought we would give the facility another chance to improve hoping it was a fluke but it just gets worse and worse. TO OTHERS: SERIOUSLY RECONSIDER THIS LOCATION!! I saw the good reviews and was very hopeful but it has been a NIGHTMARE. For the wellbeing of your loved one PLEASE do not come here. ORIGINAL POST 03/28/2024: From day 1 their service has been scary and seriously lacking. From vital medication not being administered, to not monitoring declines in eating and drinking among patients for who this is a major concern for including those who are diabetic, post chemo, and recovering from surgery. Nurses are rude when you try to inquire what happens and wait times to get a hold of anyone are consistently upwards of 10 minutes.

Fantastic experience: My brother has been residing at Laurel Wellness since Aug 2023, with the help that I received from Jose Speede . Jose has been a great an awesome help to me and my family. He is always available to help me facilitate any need or concern I may have regarding my brother care. Also the staff as well has been very decent to work with. To help my brothers stay at LaurelWellness is comfortable. Jose Speede is exceptional coordinator!

Fantastic experience: Jose at Laurel helped me start the process to get my disability and medicare set up after my stroke. He is also helping me get exercise and the recover going. The care at Laurel has been good to me.

Fantastic experience: My first impression was opening the front door and experiencing no particular smell. Which I equate to clean. I was happy to find I had an opportunity to book a single bedroom with a large window and a view of a green yard. While touring, the entire staff was friendly. If I had a question or needed anything the staff were quick to help. This leads me to praise excellent employee Jose Speedee. He took away all of my stress about choosing this facility. Every question any request, Jose immediately took care of it. He made himself available at all times. This relieved the stress level of my entire family. From the moment of admission to time of discharge. I give my 5 star rating due to Jose. I can’t forget the fantastic job done by Physical Therapist Gilbert and his supervisor.

Negative experience: Awful place! You can’t put people you love here. It’s not worth it The staff doesn’t care or take care of the patients. Reporting them and taking our mom out of here!

Negative experience: This place is horrible do not take or allow the insurance to take your loved ones here. They are disorganized the staff is non caring. They don't follow through with required therapy. Their Covid protocol is a joke. They don't keep a log of visits. I could just go on and on about how bad this place is. We are not leaving our mom there. We would rather have her at home and take turns with her than have her in this dump!!

Positive experience: It's clean staff and Caregivers are nice. My father-in law is always clean when they wheel him out. It's just hard see your loved one living outside of the home. He had to go because his care was too much for his 80yr old wife. It's places like these help make life easier

Negative experience: Es un lugar pequeño, de solo 99 Pacientes, a los cuales no atienden. La mala experiencia, que tuvo mi familiar, fue terrible, son crueles Todo el personal, se ponen de acuerdo, para aparentar que los cuidan, pero es mentira, ... Lo olvidaron como un animal, nunca lo bañaron en semanas!!!!! Y lo peor de todo, que lo querian postrar en una cama...para dejarlo morir...o sea que en lugar de recuperarse se atrofio y nunca lo levantaron de la cama. Son crueles

Fantastic experience: My grandmother in law was admitted here for Rehab and that’s her first time in SNF she was very amaze how the staff, admission department and specially the nurses the way they care for my grandma and rehab department assured her that she will go back home and start walking again and they did . Very happy and highly recommended this facility .

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing, staff is is very nice and very friendly, and the girl in charge of admission is helpful when assisting with my aunt. Leo (rehab dir) did an amazing job treating my aunt. Anybody’s looking for a short term stay I recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Legit 5 stars!! Laurel Wellness has won our family over with their energy and care for my Uncle. As a family we were very concerned because it is our first experience in a nursing home. Their effort proved that they have a great staff but more importantly they have excellent people. It was a short term stay and in a short amount of time they provided him with the utmost care and took the extra step to help us as a family. They were there every step of the way and I will recommend Laurel for your loved ones health care needs. I am very happy with our experience. Thank you Laurel!!!

Negative experience: Was not impressed with the care given to my dad. Nurses were too busy with other patients to tend to him. Unfortunately he passed away shortly after leaving this place. I'm not saying the care had anything to do with it. But when he would ask for help it would take over an hour for him to get rolled over. He developed multiple bedsores and overall he became depressed. The nurses were rude to us the first time we visited. If you love your family, let them spend their last days at home. This is hell on earth.

Negative experience: NOTHING BUT MURDERERS WORK HERE! They are not nurses! Do not put YOUR family here unless you want them to die! They refused to call ambulance when my nana was throwing up blood! She passed away!
