Fantastic experience: ilvia Sorensen, Thank you for what you have done for me the last couple of weeks. I actually was losing faith that anyone could help me. You are the Best…a genius! My shoulder did not wake me up last night and I had a good sleep. The laser, your manipulation and the exercises you gave me have been so awesome. And just importantly you identified what was wrong, when EVERYONE else was wrong. I spent 20 years of my career representing a major health care system, which had a multitude of physical therapy centers in 4 states and I can unequivocally say Silvia is the very best PT I have ever come across. In simple terms, while I was told I needed a shoulder replacement, or go to a PT for treatment, I was referred to Silvia. Silvia immediately assessed me and did some hands on therapy, where she found the pain in my shoulder was from a disc pressing against my spine causing this pain. Silvia does not go through the motions, she is totally focused on addressing your needs. I am so thankful I was referred to Silvia by a friend, who feels the same way I do about her and her services!

Fantastic experience: Fort Collins Physical Therapy is a top notch service from front to back. I flew in from N.C. just to get treated for my second frozen shoulder. Dr Sylvia treated my first one back on 2019 in three visits and I have been treating my second one with no success for several months. I have no doubts this shoulder will have similar results as I am already feeling relief after one treatment. Her and the rest of her staff are caring, respectful, and knowledgeable. In my opinion you can't find a better place to go for therapy anywhere.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful healing experience and transition with Sylvia and my physical therapy family. They healed me and educated me about my healing and the best way to get to my most healthy self after my knee replacement and helping with my neck pain. Many years ago I was in a mva and needed months of rehabilitation, I wish I knew her then and I could've been more successful but her knowledge and continuation of educational growth and technology expansion of her facility is beyond any other therapy wellness facility I have received treatment from. Sylvia and her team had a phenomenal working relationship with my doctors and maintained that throughout my treatment. They know what they are doing and set you up for complete success with their knowledge, care and concern for your best interests. There is alot of options here in Ft. Collins for physical therapy and other type treatments but there is no comparison to this facility. ; and to top it off, she lends her expertise in the younger generation by teaching and sharing her expertise with other students of the trade. I'm better off for having gone to Sylvia and her family including her "gem" Trevor....he's AMAZING

Fantastic experience: I had rotator cuff surgery on my dominant arm. Silvia and her team were great to work with. From billing/insurance to therapy they were so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! I recovered sooner than expected and can’t thank them enough! I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for 2 separate issues and both Sylvia and Travis have been amazing. I love doing the laser treatment. They are very respectful and caring. I will continue to go here and highly recommend it

Negative experience: Don't recommend. I hate leaving bad reviews but I'm doing this to try and save people the large bill from this place. Sylvia aggressively protested when I requested my insurance be billed for treatment. Sylvia and the other therapist didn't agree on what was wrong with my knee but didn't try to align on a diagnosis. Treatment ended up being almost 100% laser -- they gave me a couple stretches and said they would give me exercises in my last session, but instead at my last session Sylvia informed me "you're fixed" with no evidence to claim this. My knee is not fixed. Additionally, she is still refusing/failing to bill my insurance correctly...she OFFERED me a refund without me asking, and now is ignoring my texts. It's so disappointing some people choose to run their business this way and take advantage of injured folks who need help.

Fantastic experience: I work as the front office and billing staff, and per office policy, the deductible is collected at time of service and we bill insurance the same day. I am amazed how fast patients recover from their injuries with Dr. Sorensen's expertise and personalized care. There are times we see patients only 1-2 visits before they are 100%. Fantastic experience: About 5 months ago, I was getting dizzy and my equilibrium was off, so I went to my Dr to find out what was causing this, turns out I had an obstruction covering my ear canal..they where able to take it out, but immediately recommended Silvia, owner of FCPT. she did some magic in 2 quick appointments,,and I was healed like that. Incredible place ..

Fantastic experience: I have a bad lower spine disk and I have been using the new laser therapy. My condition has no surgery or cure in the near future as diagnosed from many specialists. Online I found that my own stem cell injections may be an option; but with no known guarantee it might work. The new laser therapy with Sylvia can help grow cells to heal my bad discs. My first laser therapy session was amazing; it made my back feel better than it has in a long time. I would suggest to take it easy and don’t over exert your body with these laser sessions; let the laser do it’s work to help heal your body.

Fantastic experience: Sylvia and Travis are a great team! Together they bring around 50 years of experience in solving your issues. At their clinic, you get friendly, personal attention. Travis especially impressed me with his careful evaluation and diagnoses. I will call them first whenever I have pains or problems!

Fantastic experience: I was in PT with another group for 6 months with minimal progress but made amazing progress in very short time with Sylvia. She really knows what she is doing!

Fantastic experience: Sylvia is a super professional PT therapist and person. She uses some of different methods than others and well worth it.

Fantastic experience: I had a last minute ACL meniscus surgery and they managed to get me in at the last second. This is a truly awesome physical therapy clinic. Silvia and Travis make a great team and their different pt styles synergies perfectly. The PT was perfect but the communication and personal touch and the welcoming environment truly made this place special and I couldn’t recommend it more.

Fantastic experience: I had a skiing accident where I had a compound Tib Fib break. When I started walking again I had terrible knee pain that my doctors and previous PT were dismissing, telling me it was normal and would heal itself. Well I moved to Fort Collins 5 months after my accident and started working a serving job where my knee pain became so bad that I could barely step foot out of bed in the morning without terrible pain. I knew this wasn’t going to “heal itself”. I took a chance with Silvia’s practice to get the help I needed. In my first appointment, I described my accident to Silvia and she felt around my knee, and immediately told me that I had torn my medial meniscus & sprained my MCL in my accident and nobody checked it. I was very impressed and also very upset that this was never addressed by my previous doctors. Silvia knew exactly what to do to heal me. She is extremely smart and intuitive when it comes to her work. Like nothing I have ever experienced before. She provided many different treatments in my healing process including stretching, massage, laser, strengthening exercises, balance, shoe inserts & some other machine tech that I can’t remember what it’s called. It takes her all of 5 seconds to look at the problem area and know the solution. It’s quite impressive. Her son Travis also helped me with my exercises and was very nice. I can now say that I healed my meniscus tear and sprained MCL without having to get surgery and am getting stronger every day! The only complaint that I have is that they are very busy (which is good) but that it did take a while sometimes for them to see me and I would sit in a room for a while by myself. But at the end of the day, they know what they are doing and I couldn’t have healed my knee pain without Silvia’s expertise! I highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: I went across the street too Rocky mountain physical therapy and the PT was rude so I went across too the Fort collins Physical Therapy and sports center they were very inviting nice The front desk lady was so nice and got me in right away helped me with everything Silia is amazing helped with my pain right away and showed me how there new Lazer machine helps with my scoliosis ! I love this place !!

Fantastic experience: I came to Silvia (owner of the business), hoping to get a little relief from the pain I was experiencing on the right side of my neck. I had already been to another Physical Therapist, and had no relief. As soon as Silvia talked with me, she immediately knew what the problem was, and how to treat it. After 3 treatments, I am pain free! I have never met a more professional, knowledgeable, kind, caring person working in her field. I highly recommend her, and her business to anyone who's contemplating going to PT. Her staff is very professional and proficient in their duties. In addition, I cannot say enough about the masseuse she has working for her. His name is Qiang. Absolutely the best masseuse I have ever encountered. Negative experience: 45 YO, 3 days post total knee replacement. Silvia was rushed and gave off a salesman vibe rather than skilled therapist, talked a lot about herself and how long she'd been a therapist, how many seminars she attends and how accomplished she was rather than focusing on me the patient. The other therapists were quite timid almost scared around her as she directed almost all of their moves, she would not stop overselling how amazing her laser therapy was and how expensive they are which wasn't covered by insurance. I wouldn't have made the appointment had I known that. She made overly bold claims about how much faster I will recover with her than any other therapist because of her laser. Didn't want to see my surgeons therapy order because she didn't follow it. Told me a hyperbolic statement about tearing my quad if I walk without a cane even though my surgeon told me to walk without aid as much as tolerable. Got me a cane to walk to the therapy gym area and told me to follow her without giving it to me. Showed me exercises and contradicted herself on how to engage the muscles. I asked if I should be squeezing my quad, she said no but activate your VMO (part of the quad). Wanted me to memorize the exercises rather than write them down since her son would email them to me but wasn't in that day. Probably a good therapist for muscle injuries that might benefit from laser therapy but not someone post major surgery. Overall, would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: FCPT has helped me recover from an injury I thought I would just need to live with and accept. Great staff and very knowledgeable!

Negative experience: Unfortunately Sylvia is one of the most unprofessional physicians I have ever seen. The laser does help but to me it is not worth the stress of coming to this office. If you decide to go here I strongly suggest you ask to see her son. Sylvia is constantly walking around the office yelling, it is always utter chaos. She is over controlling and micro manages her staff. She is hardly ever on time, and she has forgotten about me in a room before. She is always blaming her staff for her failures - “they never told me you were in a room!” “they didn’t tell me you were waiting!” I heard them tell her both these things. “I forgot my watch today!” It’s always someone or something else’s problem. When she asks you how your symptoms are she doesn’t let you finish a sentence. The last straw for me was a day when I had only given myself 50 minutes for the appointment, and despite me hearing the staff telling her multiple times that I was ready for her, she never got to me. What was she doing? Yelling at the front desk about scheduling someone else, which they are completely capable of doing. Yelling at the employees on how to show someone a stretch, again they were doing exactly what she was yelling prior to her inserting herself. I was obviously upset when I left that day. She called me and had the audacity to say “don’t schedule with me unless you have an hour” I was absolutely appalled. I have ALWAYS given the appointments an hour OR MORE even though there is only 7-10 min of laser, 10-15 of excessive, and she only treats for 5-10 minutes. That day I was very clear from the start that I had to leave at 11:50. I showed up on time and she still couldn’t get it together to be on time herself, not because she was treating others but for the most trivial reasons. I called back and she wanted to blame me for not leaving enough time. I told her I was on time, and waited for 15 minutes in the lobby. She continued to interrupt me every sentence and then yelling at her staff “WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME SHE WAS IN THE WAITING ROOM” (I heard them tell her when I was there). Over all she seems incapable of taking accountability and I’m not sure how much she actually knows about her patients since she’s constantly interrupting whatever they say.

Fantastic experience: Silvia and her staff have enhanced my life by taking care of my neck pain. I couldn't look left or right without severe pain. Silvia used a combination of laser, several message technics and exercises. Silvia, Nick, Liz (excellent massage) and Travis are a pleasure to work with and are highly skilled at there trade. This is the second time I've used FCPT&SC. I was recommended by a friend and I've recommended my wife and friends to see her also. Silvia is a pioneer with the laser and is writing a book on scar tissue.

Fantastic experience: I saw Sylvia in the late 90's for a herniated disk and she was fantastic. In 2016 I got a blood infection that got into my spine. I was trying everything to avoid surgery with not much success. Out of the blue she called me to see how I was doing (16 years later). I told her what happened and she demanded I come in and see her. She has changed my life. I am a firefighter and have sent other co-workers to her. One has had back pain for the past 15 years and has seen numerous PT's. He said Sylvia was the only one who did not use a scripted approach with him and taylored a program to his history and symptoms. He is doing great now. She is the best.

Fantastic experience: I have only been working with Sylvia for a couple weeks but am so happy with my care! She and her whole team have made fantastic effort in getting me in quickly and making sure the rest of the team is in the know about my care. I always feel so welcomed coming in as the staff all greet me by name. Sylvia and her son have shown great kindness in taking the time to show me extra attention when I have a question or concern. Although this is a fast paced environment, it seems very controlled and not chaotic in the slightest as everyone is on top of everything. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Fantastic experience: If I could give more than 5 stars I would. They care about each individual patient. My care here was amazing. Silvia was more concerned about my recovery than my own doctor. I had an allergic reaction to the surgical bandage bandage and Silvia was instrumental in seeing that it got proper attention. I had a complete knee replacement and would not have the range of motion if not for this excellent staff. They provide smaller and more personalized care than the big guys. Can't say enough good things about them. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I was recently in a pretty traumatic accident in the mountains where an off-road vehicle flipped and crushed my right ankle. I went into immediate surgery and now have a bunch of hardware in there holding it together. I’ve been in the United States Marines Corps for 8 years and planned to make it a career. This accident made me fear that I would not be able to continue my career in the Military. I am so fortunate and blessed to have chosen the best physical therapist in town!! Silvia and her staff have been just incredible. They make me feel welcomed and hopeful for my recovery. After just one session I now feel like there is hope I will get back to 100% and be able to continue my military career. HIGHLY recommend.

Fantastic experience: Sylvia, her team and the laser worked magic on my frozen shoulder. The first appointment gave me significant improvement in range of motion. With only a few appointments, I have full range of motion. The laser heats up my shoulder so that Syliva can work on it with better results. Fantastic experience: I have been suffering from a high hamstring injury for the last 3 ½ years, which was originally misdiagnosed as sciatica. Driving and sitting were extremely painful. I had tried everything, including three different physical therapists. I had almost resigned myself to thinking I would always live with this chronic, nagging pain. But then I met Silvia. After my first visit with Silvia, I finally believed that it was possible for my injury to be healed. The treatment I received and the exercises I was given have changed everything. For the first time in 3 ½ years, I’m running again and increasing my mileage weekly with no pain. I’m able to sit for longer periods of time. I am now confident that this depressing, painful injury will soon be a distant memory and I couldn't have done it without Silvia. She is absolutely amazing. She knows what she’s doing, she’s very compassionate, and she’s genuinely concerned about her patients’ health. I am incredibly grateful to have found her.

Fantastic experience: I have had a fantastic experience at Fort Collins Physical Therapy. Silvia has a great understanding of her work and really knows how to manipulate whatever problem area you have to provide pain relief and increased mobility. As a body builder, I am constantly putting my body under physical strain and Silvia understands my needs as a client and caters to them. She uses current and effective technology including ultrasound massage, infrared, and electric innervation. She has helped my severe tendinitis get much better even while I continued to use that arm. She is also a shoulder expert and helped my shoulder stop its' annoying chronic clicking. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I went to Silvia's physical therapy after my car wreck with a drunk driver. The driver that hit me decided he wanted to make a u-turn across two lanes of traffic, hitting me on the front right side of my car. I was unsure at first about how wonderful the fort Collins physical therapy and sports center would be. When I walked into the building it had a warm flow of energy. Then I also got to meet the wonderful staff. Silvia along with Sarah have both worked on my injuries. Sarah is a very friendly person who is not afraid to ask questions and get to know you more. Then there is Morgan, he was the first one I meet out of the team. He was so friendly and kind. He gave me a little run down of what to expect and made me feel more comfortable. What can i say about Silvia? She became more of a friend rather than another doctor I was seeing. She like every one there was friendly,kind and listened to what I had to say. They all make physical therapy fun. I always love walking in because they all know me by name. I'm not just another customer to them. I love going back to Fort Collins physical therapy and sports center. If you ask me on a scale from 1-10 I would give not only Silvia, but everyone that works with Silvia a 100!

Fantastic experience: Only great things to say about Fort Collins PT. I came here after seeing two other PT practices due to a car accident. Working with Silvia has been a blessing. Silvia was the only one who diagnosed what was going on with my knees and put a treatment program together that is providing the first positive results I've had. She's really interested in you as an individual and takes your treatment very personally. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I am a college student and I found Silvia and her staff online based on the reviews. I went in the first time as a person who was very skeptical of physical therapy, but she completely changed my mind after she treated me. I saw Silvia for the first time about 2 months ago with terrible pain in my left ankle/calf that started about 6 years before. The doctor I was currently seeing for the problem had told me if physical therapy didn't work to fix my pain, my last option would be exploratory surgery. Silvia and her team had me out of the walking boot I was in quickly and had the pain and swelling in my ankle fixed in just 6 visits, no surgery for me! She made me believe in physical therapy and since she was able to fix a problem that I had little hope for, I am back seeing her again with problems in my neck that cause headaches. She is the best physical therapist, and her office will work with your schedule and your problems to help you feel better quickly with long term solutions. I recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Fantastic experience: I came into Fort Collins Physical Therapy with a lot of lower back pain after working out just a little too hard. After the first week, the tightness went down and my back had started to feel much better. Not only did Silvia and her certified staff show me workouts to strengthen my back, but they used ultra sound, laser treatment, massage, decompression and a probe to work out any problem areas. They are very caring and concerned about getting you 100% better. Silvia is an expert and gave me great advice on how to get better. I definitely recommend her office. I always left feeling so much better!

Fantastic experience: I started going to Fort Collins Therapy last year when I hurt my back and couldn't walk, sit, or do much of anything without a lot of pain. Silvia and her staff helped me get back on my feet and running again within a couple of months. The electro-probe, deep-tissue massage, and the home exercises helped my back and hip heal so that I didn't have to rely on pain pills and, most importantly, get back to my active lifestyle. I had to go back a few months ago because I over-did it, but once again, Silvia and Rachel had me back on my feet without pain in no time. I want to thank Silvia and the staff for helping me get better so that I can get back out and enjoy Colorado.

Fantastic experience: I just finished my 2nd round (2 different injuries) of Physical Therapy with Silvia and her staff, and they are the best! They want to get you the best treatment in the least amount of time to get you back to feeling great and not wasting your money. Silvia, in my opinion, is the best Physical Therapist in town as she has been able to correctly diagnose my injuries where other doctors misdiagnosed me. With my most recent knee injury, Silvia fitted me for ALINE orthotics and they are amazing! They definitely help keep me in alignment and pain free. I would recommend Ft. Collins PT to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: I learned about Fort Collins Physical Therapy through my daughter who was completing an internship there. After hearing all the great recovery stories I decided to go in after suffering from back and nerve problems for years. With how much pain I was in before meeting Silvia I was not expecting to be relieved as quickly as I was. The use of her electric acupuncture and manipulations decreased the pain very much after the first visit. It is very apparent that Silvia and her staff have got this practice down, I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs relief and wants it quickly.

Fantastic experience: Silvia and her staff are great! I came here after I injured my back snowboarding. I had been living with pain in my lower back for over a year. I started with a Chiropractor, which did nothing for my injury. After the 27th visit to the Chiro, I decided to try PT. I called Fort Collins Physical Therapy and Silvia answered the phone that day and actually spent some time asking me questions about my injury and developing a plan of action. I went in for 6 visits and I was pain free! Silvia has many techniques and equipment that she uses that are very effective. I feel that she and her staff are very friendly and professional. Most of all, I really felt like Silvia cared about my injury and had a great interest in getting it resolved so that I could get back to my everyday life. An additional note: The massage therapists that are on her staff are excellent. Craig, in particular, is very well trained and very knowledgeable of his craft. For my particular lower back injury, I feel that he played a major part in resolving the issue. I highly recommend him for back injuries or even a Massage!

Fantastic experience: I went into Fort Collins Physical Therapy following a bike crash that had resulted in shoulder, arm, and leg injuries. Silvia was able to diagnose my injuries without needing an expensive MRI, which saved me a lot of money. She is very good and knowledgeable! My injuries felt better even after the first treatment. She showed me several exercises that I can do at home to help the healing process and to get my muscles back to strength. I highly recommend Fort Collins Physical Therapy!

Fantastic experience: I have been meaning to make this review for a while. Silvia is hands down the best PT I have worked with. Her use of red light laser therapy, PT, other alternatives and being attentive to my changing back and hip injuries helped me avoid to avoid surgery on my labrum’s in my hips and my herniated SI Joint in my back. Fantastic experience: Ft Collins Physical Therapy is the absolute best! I went to them following surgery for a severely torn rotator cuff and they quickly got me back to 100%. I was treated in a extremely professional and friendly manner by the whole team, from Bailey, Liz and Nick, clear up to Travis and Silvia. I mainly worked with Silvia and she is the best of the best!! Looking back, I am so happy that I decided to put my physical therapy in their hands. Fantastic experience: Travis Edwards has been my physical therapist for 18 months, due to a serious bike accident in which I sustained multiple injuries. In each and every case, he has provided superb care, using appropriate modalities to help my injuries heal. He has diagnosed issues that have been missed by surgeons, too. In addition, he has given me specific stretching and strengthening routines that have helped me recover and avoid further injuries. Having been in and out of physical therapy for months due to accidents and post surgery rehab, I can say confidently that Travis is one of the very best practitioners I’ve ever had. Both Travis Edwards and Sylvia Sorensen have also recently diagnosed a SLAP tear in my right shoulder -- and this, before the MRI confirmed these injuries. They have repeatedly pinpointed problems that the surgeons have missed, or worse, ignored. In doing so, they have been able to offer me the proper care so that I can get better and avoid surgery. I trust them completely to provide top-notch PT so that I can continue to be active and engage in my athletic pursuits.

Fantastic experience: ***Update - I got a recommended MRI. This had shown that I had a torn disc in my c5/c6 and to see a specialist. After almost a year of prescribed medications of Gabapentin, Baclofen, Dexamethasone, and 3 shorts to my disc, I started to see and feel some painful side effects, with no pathway of relief or resolution. After seeing no other option, I went back to Silvia and I am so thankful I did, I felt immediate relief and since starting back up with her in January, I have already come off all medications and the side effects have begun to subside. The new addition of Qiang the massage therapist, worked on my back which had been one of the sources of my nerve pain. After a bit of rest my back and shoulder haven’t felt better since before the injury. Silvia is a life saver; she has always done everything in her power to accommodate me when I have needed it the most. I believe now more than ever my current injury can and will be solved without the need of surgery or mountains of medications. Thank you Silvia and Team for all you have done and continue to do for me! - *** After dealing with emergency room visits, multiple doctors not wanting to give me the proper care, and dealing with sever pain in three areas in my neck and back for over a year and a half, Silvia with her expertise and care was able to give me a diagnosis and I had IMMEDIATE pain relief from the first treatment. I absolutely love this facility! I could not recommend a more caring and compassionate group.

Fantastic experience: I cannot describe the pain I suffered and how thankful I am that I found Silvia and Fort Collins Physical Therapy. I've dealt with back pain for 5 years, this past year the worst. I was told to get an MRI as doctors suspected I had herniated disks. Insurance said no MRI until I tried physical therapy. I went to FCPT, in severe pain, and met with Silvia. I told her my story. She saw how much pain I was in and initially thought that the MRI should be done before therapy. We discussed a bit more and decided to give therapy a try......... Silvia worked wonders. As soon as she laid hands on me, she diagnosed my problem... Scar tissue built up from a previous surgery, from 30 years ago, was pushing on my nerve. She performed heat laser and spinal decompression. As she worked, she said I did not need surgery and that she could help relieve my pain. I couldn't believe it!!! When she was done, I got up off the table and was almost completely pain free. I could stand up straight and did not limp with pain. I was so skeptical before I went to FCPT and sure the only option was going to be surgery. Fantastic experience: Silvia and her Aspen Laser Treatments are truly amazing!! I had my first appointment one week ago. I have been recovering from an elbow surgery and had lots of scar tissue. It was causing me to be unable to straighten my arm. In one week, I can now fully extend my arm. The treatments break up the scar tissue and reduce pain! My only regret is that I didn’t go to Silvia prior to having my surgery. She believes she could’ve avoided the surgery with these treatments and have a better situation overall! I have no doubt that she is right!!

Fantastic experience: I came here terminally ill, needing some physical therapy for a ripping muscle basically for quality of life, back in a wheelchair and headed downhill. Three months later, I am actively healing instead, things that have been broken and part of my prognosis are getting better instead and it has given me back a life I haven't been able to do in years! I had let it go a little longer than I should have, but Silvia and the staff took to the time to diagnose the issue properly, work on a treatment plan and provide me with techniques between appointments that would help get me back to 100%. Fantastic experience: I was out for a total of 2 months due to pain in my knee. Classified as "runners knee". Silvia was an incredible resource who helped navigate my injury and helped me come up with a cross training plan until my race on May 15th. Fantastic experience: I am so thrilled that I chose this office to help me. Sylvia really knows her stuff. I had pain in my shoulder and arm with numbness in my thumb for several weeks. I went to urgent care and they put me in a sling, which only made thing worse. The first day I walked into the office Sylvia told me it was c5 that was causing my pain. After several visits she suggested I get an MRI and of course her diagnosis was correct. I now have feeling back in my thumb and I only have to visit every couple of months. Fantastic experience: I have experienced L 4/5 back pain in my disk for over 10 years. When I first met with Sylvia I was living with extreme back pain and suffering. Sylvia came highly recommended from a friend of mine. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Fort Collins Physical Therapy since February, 2019-first for chronic neck pain then for rehab after knee replacement surgery. Beginning in 2013 I tried everything to decrease my neck pain and increase neck mobility and nothing helped until I received warm laser therapy and manipulation by Sylvia Sorensen. I can now move my neck and head completely and am pain free!The treatment I receive is truly life changing and I can resume my regular activities. Fantastic experience: Fort Collins Physical Therapy is the best, they are always able to take me in for therapy on their scheduled appointment time despite working with seven private treatment rooms. There is hardly anyone waiting in the foyer unless they arrive early, as I usually do. I could not turn my head to the right due to pain for over thirteen years, after one treatment with the deep tissue laser, I can now turn to the right with very little discomfort. No MAGIC involved, just good science and understanding.

Fantastic experience: These people have changed my life. After 13 years of horrendous pain where I could hardly turn my head to the right due to being rear ended in 2006, Silvia, using the deep laser therapy and manipulating my neck, has me turning my head to the right without terrible pain. When I started seeing her, I was still having to take 60 mg of Morphine Sulfate every day, and I was miserable, now in just one month I am down to less than 15mg a day, and I hope to be off morphine completely in another month. I love what she has done for me and I would recommend anyone who wants true relief from pain to go see her immediately.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best physical therapist in town. I've had two ankle surgeries and been to multiple other places in town but had no luck anywhere else. She was able to accurately diagnose me and find strategies and solutions to help improve my chronic pain. Through her incredible technology of laser, probe, and altar spund she was able to help me get back to hiking 14ers and doing the things I love. Highly recommend, if you want to improve your condition.

Negative experience: The therapist made me wait 20-30 minutes despite not having any other clients. She did not have access to any of my x-rays and insisted I bring them up on my phone (just a fact, not a complaint). She then proceeded to take my phone and show other people at the clinic without asking for my permission first. A significant invasion to my privacy. She then proceeded to give me very awkward directions for ways in which I can improve my condition at home. She provided no material for reference despite saying her son would email them (I did not follow up). Hands down the most frustrating part of the experience was the damned laser. I would ask a question about bone regrowth time and she wouldn't give me an answer. She just kept telling me how much her laser would help me heal. I had to ask her repeatedly to get a straight answer that didn't involve lasers. I told her directly that I wasn't interested in laser treatment but she kept insisting I take a look. I don't care that you spent too much money on a laser, it's not going to repair my fractured bone. The moment she touted her magic science laser was the moment she lost 100% of her credibility.

Fantastic experience: Some of the best physical therapy I have ever received. They got my shoulder healed before I went to the 2016 Rio Olympics and I have had 0 problems since. I had two surgeries leading into those Olympics and have been playing rugby professionally since 2015. The rehab they provided was top notch and put me on the right path for these last 3 years. Dr. Sorensen’s practice has evolved to have cutting-edge modalities, allowing her to diagnose quickly. Fort Collins Physical Therapy is the only clinic in Northern Colorado that uses the Aspen Class lV laser. It delivers significantly higher energy, thus penetrating deeper within the tissue. Fantastic experience: My physical therapy experience with Silvia and the team at Fort Collins Physical Therapy and Sports was wonderful. After having an elbow dislocation from a snowboard accident, I was placed in a cast for a month and was told to get physical therapy. Because of the time spent in the cast, my elbow became frozen and could only move a few degrees. After my first appointment, I saw amazing results. The lazer treatment did wonders and within a month my arm was back to normal. Silvia was very professional and I could tell she really cared about my healing. Fantastic experience: I had to stop yoga due to multiple tendinitis in my left shoulder leaving me in pain for 5 months now, limiting some of my movements and hard time to sleep at night. I have seen a couple of chiropractors and tried different treatments with no success until my doc suggested to visit a physiotherapist instead. From the first appointment with Silvia, I felt immediate relief. Not only the laser treatment helped but also all manipulations she has done to my shoulder. Fantastic experience: This is a follow-up over a year after my treatment and I continue to experience positive results. In the past year I have run well over a thousand training miles followed by a marathon with my best time in 4 years (won my age group), and all pain free due to continuing the stretches and exercises I learned in PT at Fort Collins Physical Therapy. I am 75 years old and am grateful every day for the help I received from Sylvia and her staff which has allowed me to extend my running years!! I am a long distance (marathoner) runner and I had been unable to run due to pain from plantar fasciitis. The condition had been developing for several months and earlier attempts to remedy it had failed. After 2 weeks of treatment by Silvia and her staff I was able to begin running again and now, only 4 weeks later, I have just run 45 miles in the last 5 consecutive days without any symptoms of pain. I am back into my training routine for my next marathon. I found that Fort Collins Physical Therapy used the latest equipment and PT techniques available to quickly and permanently cure my plantar fasciitis. I will most certainly use Silvia and her staff again if I am in the need of physical therapy and I highly recommend them. FOLLOW-UP 4 MONTHS LATER This is a follow-up to my post from last spring. I ran a full marathon (PAIN FREE) last weekend so I am so happy that not only did I have the healing I described after treatment, I was able to maintain that healing. Fantastic experience: I went to Silvia a few months ago for a torn meniscus in my right knee. At first I was a little skeptical but Silvia and her crew did amazing work on my knee. Before I went to see Silvia I was hobbling around the house in pain and crawling up and down the stairs on my hands and knees. I needed professional help. Once she determined that I did not have a buckle tear she was confident that she could fix it and that I would not need surgery. Silvia went to work on my knee using some pretty high tech tools and techniques to increase the vascularization in my knee and begin the healing process. After a few therapy sessions my knee was strong enough to remove the brace that I was wearing. After a few more visits Silvia determined that my meniscus was healed. Today my knee is strong enough for hiking, biking and enjoying the outdoors in general. I am thankful that my knee doesn't hurt anymore. It do have some general aches (they are diminishing with time) but no pain in the joint. Silvia and her crew are pros -- I highly recommend them.
