He follows up with printed and online feedback to make sure at home therapies are done correctly. He's personable and friendly as well. Always reminding me to contact him with questions.

Fantastic experience: I had an ACL/meniscus repair. Tyler was great about explaining the mechanics causing my lack of mobility and swelling. Though there were times of discomfort, he never let me have pain. I have my mobility back and working on strength, so I can return to golfing, hiking and paddle boarding. Excellent care and the office very friendly and accommodating.

I’ve had a few setbacks post surgery and he is very encouraging and supportive, and most importantly believes in my ability to succeed. Fantastic experience: I've been to PT in 2017 for low back pain, ended up stopping because it was making pain worse. Am so glad I found Zach! It is obvious he cares, is dedicated to getting me better, but also does not want to push too hard to have intense pain return. He is patient, kind, incredibly knowledgeable and again I am so glad I found him! The office staff is lovely, couldn't be more helpful. They have made me believe in PT again

Fantastic experience: Zach is Fabulous! He gave me beginner and progressively harder exercises For my sore /Weak Rotator Cuff. Probably saved me from another Rotator Cuff surgery on my other shoulder! And the muscle Activation he does is amazing!

Fantastic experience: As a retired Occupational Therapist myself, I can legitimately recommend this therapy clinic. I was hesitant to try a new clinic but after attending this clinic due to a shoulder injury, I was really impressed. Within a few days, my shoulder was much better with the treatment and the exercises prescribed. The staff have exceptional expertise, they are professional, and they also have excellent rapport with patients. Look no further.

Tyler was my PT, and quickly put me on a track toward healing, not only figuring out “what” needed to be done, but patiently explaining the “why” behind the treatment plan and approach. Fantastic experience: With two shoulder injuries previously I've been through my share of physical therapy, and of all the physical therapists I've been to Zachary has taken the #1 spot for best experience I've had. 1 on 1 attention where you learn what you need to do to improve your own health and fitness as well as having my questions answered in an understandable way was something I had never had before with previous providers. With that good experience backing me up I feel quite motivated to continue those exercises and lifestyle changes that will help prevent injuries in the future. Absolutely 5/5 stars!

Fantastic experience: I have been at Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy - South for 4 months, working on my hip. Both trying to strengthen it, before finding out I needed to have surgery, and now rehabbing it after a pretty major hip arthroscopy. This place is the best! Everyone there is so kind and caring and friendly, starting with Brilee's welcoming smile at the desk. She also goes above and beyond with scheduling needs! I have worked almost exclusively with Derrick, and he is truly a Godsend! I appreciate that he always takes the time to explain to me the why of what he's doing and how his methods and at-home exercises will help. I have learned a lot about how my hip moves, and physically I have improved so much! Beyond his ability to get my hip back into shape, and his knowledge of how much to challenge me to make me stronger, it is so evident that he not only enjoys his job, but also getting to know his patients on a personal level. Derrick truly cares about what is going on in my life, always remembering things I have shared, and following up on them. He also gets how emotions can vary during physical healing, and adjusts his treatments accordingly. I frequently joke that he is my emotional therapist as well as physical! I have also been able to work with Zach a few times. He too is very knowledgeable, kind and friendly. Zach was willing and able to step in to continue treatment during the times that Derrick was unavailable. I have absolutely no reservations about working with him, and it is reassuring knowing I'm in good hands, no matter what. I have not had the privilege of working with Tyler, but based on how wonderful Derrick and Zach are, and from what I have heard, he is equally amazing! If you want to be treated like family, and be given top of the line physical therapy, come to Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy- South!

Negative experience: My doctor faxed over a referral and I never got a call. I tried calling Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy multiple times to set up an appt, but no one ever answered. I left a message and never got a call back. I ended up having to have my doctor send a referral to another company. Unfortunately, this delayed the process of me getting into PT.

Fantastic experience: A few sessions in and I'm very happy with the detailed instructions and explanations I've been given. I've been given manageable exercises for both my shoulder and knee injuries and am excited to see more progress as the sessions continue

Fantastic experience: Both Derrick and Tyler have been very careful in assessing my problems and in finding all the appropriate exercises. They have both been very kind in not losing patience with this old lady who has gotten very out of shape, especially so since Covid (and very cold weather this past winter) have really put a damper on any kind of exercise that I should have been doing.

Fantastic experience: I've dealt with chronic pain/issues with my shoulder for years, & have worked with different physical therapists at different points in time (4 different physical therapists, including Derrick) for the same issue over the years, pre- & now post-surgery; due to this, I can confidently say that Derrick is all around a quality physical therapist. 2 out of the 4, I don't think I really ever had the sense that they had a conceptual understanding of my issues; between the other who did, Derrick has the upper hand in that he's also a pleasure to work with, something that from my observation (besides my own experience) applies to people of all ages & walks of life. I've only worked with Derrick, so I can't really speak on Tyler (the other physical therapist who practices at this location) as a PT, but what I can say is that Tyler has always gone out of his way, above & beyond what seems to typically be the standard in health care, to make sure that if I had any concerns, during or outside of my appointment times, that I was welcome to reach out & that Rocky Mountain PT was there to support me. It seems to me that Tyler goes out of his way to make health care operate as it *should*. 5 stars

Fantastic experience: Rocky mountain physical therapy, and especially Zach we're outstanding in helping me with a quick recovery from a total knee replacement. I will return to them anytime I need physical therapy in the future.

Fantastic experience: I went to RMPT with issues with my right wrist. The pain was impacting my golf game and my love of bike riding as well as daily activities. I was impressed with Brittany and Derrick. They came up with a comprehensive treatment plan and worked with me twice a week. Today I have no pain and have resumed activities. Fantastic experience: I've suffered from insertional achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis for a solid two years. I had been to other physical therapists and never made much progress. Derek Torba at RMPT helped me finally heal my foot and ankle, and today I'm almost completely recovered. He was a joy to work with, and his recommended exercises and dry needling technique made a huge difference in my recovery. I would highly recommend Derek to anyone looking for a great therapist.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at RMPT-South is incredible and I will always recommend them to anyone looking for a physical therapist. I started PT in April for my knee, not expecting many (if any) results, and I can happily say that just a few months later I am living pain-free with tons more knowledge about my knee and how to continue my progress. I worked primarily with Derrick, but also worked with Tyler and Zach occasionally, and all three therapists are great! I met with Derrick a couple times per week, and he consistently let me talk as much as I wanted about my knee/everything I was feeling and was great at listening and understanding exactly what I was experiencing. He then clearly explained and showed me exercises to help (and explaining WHY the exercises would help, which was good for me to learn). I felt very cared for each and every time I left the office, and started noticing progress within just a couple weeks (and felt almost back-to-normal after a couple of months). If I ever need to return to physical therapy, I know I will go here because the care is great!

Fantastic experience: Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy - South I am a first time patient of Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy. I have had many joint surgeries resulting in a lot of physical therapy sessions. My previous physical therapy sessions have always been at the surgical centers. There really were never any hour long appointments. They were just 45 minutes long and seemed to blur together. My first 10-15 minutes consisted of warming up with some cardio while the therapist finished up with their previous patient. After having some lingering pain from a surgery back in March (2023), my primary physician recommended Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy. I called to make an appointment and was flabbergasted to find that I was not going to have to wait 4 weeks to get in with a therapist. They were able to get me in right away. I was pleasantly surprised. My first appointment was with Zachary. He knew what I had made the appointment for but he wanted to get more details and understand the whole picture. He didn't just assume he knew what was happening. We talked about goals and made a plan of action. I have worked with Zachary almost every appointment. He takes the time to do a check-in on how the exercises are going at home and if I have any questions. Every visit that was scheduled for an hour, was an hour. I had Zachary's attention for the full time I was there. Each time I have left my appointment, I have felt very encouraged by my progress. Zachary makes sure to give me new exercises with each appointment and takes the time to explain why they are important. I am very impressed with the staff at Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy - South. Everyone has been a pleasure to work with and they seem to take a lot of pride in their work. I will recommend them to anyone who is serious about their recovery and seeking to put in the work. With all the guidance, challenges, and support you will be given, you are most definitely in good hands!

Fantastic experience: Tyler has been an integral piece of my quick success post my ACL reconstruction. He has encouraged and pushed me to challenge myself to do a little bit more everyday while still respecting my pain boundaries. The staff at Rocky Mountain PT location on East Harmony Rd in Fort Collins is far superior to who I was using before. Office staff is helpful, friendly and very professional. The treatment I am receiving now gives me hope that I can gain more mobility and be able to live as pain-free as possible. I would highly recommend this office for any Physical Therapy needs.

Fantastic experience: Tyler and Derek helped me out after I tore my ankle ligaments w a high ankle sprain. I put off pt thinking I might heal on my own and that made things worse. O was really worried I might have to get surgery after all. Luckily after a few months we were able to get it functioning back to normal, stronger, and no longer in pain.

He is extremely knowledgeable regarding the anatomy surrounding my total shoulder replacement and what's required to get my shoulder functioning normally again. Zach explained the purpose of each stretching exercise that he was performing. He also communicated in detail each home exercise I was given and specifically what muscle group it was focusing on. Zach gave me confidence that he was as genuinely concerned as I was to provide the best path possible to my recovery.

Physical therapy is the only thing that helped me with my lower back pain, sure there is pain meds you can take and steroid injections, but do they work for me the answer is no and even if they do help it's only covering up the problem not fixing them. Wish I would have never done the injections, for me it was a big set back. Wish I was still going to therapy!! Thank you Joey Groff!!

Fantastic experience: Nikhil and Joey provided excellent physical therapy for my shoulder and neck over several weeks and both problem areas improved greatly over the course of the treatment! The exercises are invaluable in keeping my shoulder strength up and in minimizing future problems. Printed instructions are useful going forward.

Fantastic experience: Nikhil Patel treated me for several conditions over the last 3 years and has been key in helping me rehab from a stroke. His experience coupled with certifications in multiple therapies (such as acupuncture and EMS) only increases his ability to help. Nikhil communicates well with other therapists so rehab efforts can be coordinated. However, Nikhil's best trait perhaps is his ability to explain therapies and the attendant exercises so one can understand the purpose of how to improve function. He strikes the perfect balance between encouraging hard work and a healthy patience for progress. Nikhil not only has broad education and experience, he has a "natural feel" for individual needs. You can't go wrong with Nikhil Patel.

Fantastic experience: I was prescribed treatment to strengthen my core and pelvic floor. Nikhil Patel, my DPT designed a regimen that was challenging, but obtainable, and had me do numerous reps in-office to insure I had the correct form, as well as a "cheat sheet" to take home. The results have been very favorable. I highly recommend Nikhil, and the South Fort Collins office of RMPT.
