St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center: Reviews
Negative experience: My loved one just had a gi rupture. He was transferred here from the hospital for vac therapy and stoma care, physical therapy. He's been here 4 days, meds not on time, his stoma and surrounding area is burned from the acidic discharge from colostomy bag. They leave him sitting in his poo for hours. His vac therapy machine was supposed to be changed and it hasn't so its not even suctioning out the infection. It's been 5 hrs since I told them. I bought the supplies for him because they don't have them or they don't know how to use them. He's in isolation because of vre and they had him with other patients for over 24 hrs. Now it's like they forget he's in the room, so much so they stated they forgot to bring him breakfast. Do not take your loved one here
Fantastic experience: My experience while at St. Elizabeth’s was excellent! The caring and compassion given by everyone was so reassuring. Two CNA’s that stand out are Ana and Sarah. They went above and beyond! All CNA’s were always there to attend to your every need! The Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists were absolutely phenomenal. There were a few that stood out and they were Jay, Chris, Pat and Emily. They were so encouraging and motivating wanting you to be successful. Chase and Dave were always making sure you were comfortable. Overall I highly recommend St. Elizabeth’s!
Positive experience: I got say this place has been the best the staff and nurses are so awesome the director so nice. I would totally recommend this place. They take really good care of my mother. The only thing I could say is they need to respond faster when a patient pushes the nurse Botton.
Fantastic experience: Five star building and even better staff!
Fantastic experience: Clean, friendly, good food and professional.
Fantastic experience: My mom works with the rehab team when they visit her facility and she enjoys the staff and is always impressed with the equipment they bring for exercising.
Fantastic experience: Therapy has helped me out with exercising and keeping me active. All the therapists have been great!
Fantastic experience: Facility is very clean, staff are friendly and very helpful. Very modern! One of the best therapy team in OC! Highly recommend :)
Positive experience: I have to say, This place is one of the best around! The staff took great care of my mom. They are great at what they do. My mom has been to a few of these places since she fell ill , She appreciated there service.
Thank you, Yvette, for taking the time share your mom’s experience. We hope she and all of your family stay well.
Fantastic experience: St. Elizabeth is a beautiful facility to be in. Very clean, staff are friendly, and helpful. Francisco in Admissions answered all my questions and was such a pleasure to be around!
Tamara, thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback!
Fantastic experience: The staff and facility are AMAZING. I’ve been to plenty of Skilled Nursing Facilities, and St. Elizabeth is truly the best I’ve seen in the area.
Positive experience: My mom received excellent care while at St. Elizabeth's. The staff is so kind and considerate and communication with family is amazing. I highly recommend this facility. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 are the televisions in the rooms. They are very antiquated and the screens are about 8" x 8". This definitely needs to be updated.
Positive experience: It was a very good place to rehab after my hip surgery. The one issue that I had they didn't address in my review was that I got covid positive they made me take just before I was being discharged. I have never had it before this. I stayed the 5 days isolation. They wanted me to stay the full 10 days, but I didn't want to be in isolation with another patient who was coughing and hacking with her illness[covid] right next to me in an extremely tiny room. That was my only issue and it was a big issue, so my daughter came to take me home. I've been well since being home. The PT staff and Med staff were very good in their jobs & they treated me very well & respectful. The food was kind of a hit & miss, but it very well might have been the physician who ordered wrong menu for ne, and then I heard that he left that facility suddenly and when I finally got the correct menu of regular food, it was excellent. I gave this facility 4 stars. The place was very well taken care of, was very clean. The PT therapists were Excellent and Carlo stood out. Then of the Med nurses were as well & Justin & Marco stood out in that area. Arlene was excellent, and always there when we called on her assistance and my only issue was that she wouldn't sign me out when I would not stay in the assigned room, for the reasons stated above. So, I actually had to leave AMA, amen that was not necessary for her to have a good mark on her job. Everyone there did try to be the best in their field. I'm thankful for a beautiful outside area to get since sun! The Halloween theme was fun and well designed to bring up everyone's spirits! No pun intended!
Hi Deborah, thank you for your kind review. It was a pleasure having you at St. Elizabeth! We are so glad you are doing well.
Fantastic experience: True to their message on the phone when you call them, St. Elizabeth truly cares for their patients-- it's not an act. ALL of the medical team and management staff were just so caring and compassionate to our mom, whom everyone calls "NANAY." The place is very well maintained and response time for assistance is remarkably fast. My mom felt so much loved and was just sad to leave when it was time to go. Thank you everyone at St. Elizabeth. God bless you all!
Fantastic experience: I completed my level II Fieldwork rotation for Occupational Therapy at St. Elizabeth’s. I have gained so much knowledge from the entire rehab team. This facility truly runs on teamwork, collaboration, and honest care. I experienced first hand the dedication and love the rehab team has for each patient. If you are searching for a SNF for a loved one, St. Elizabeth’s is the absolute best!
Fantastic experience: My grandfather is currently residing at St. Elizabeth and he is getting excellent care. The staff is kind and communicative and the facility is top notch. Having a loved one needing to go into a nursing home is a very difficult process, so to have a facility like St. Elizabeth where you can trust in their care has been such a relief. We are appreciative of everyone there.
Yani- Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are grateful to hear that your grandfather is having a great experience while at our facility. We strive to give the best quality care for our patients. Feel free to reach out if you ever need anything or have any questions.
Fantastic experience: Took great care of my mom
Thank you, Brent, for taking the time to share your mom’s experience. We hope your family is well, and please let us know if we can help in any way.
Fantastic experience: I recently finished my 8 week clinical rotation with St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. The experience, knowledge, and skills I gained from them are priceless. I had the privilege to collaborate with OT, PT, SLP, and Nursing to help residents make outstanding progress with their rehabilitation goals. From my personal experience the rehab team is incredibly hard working, creative, motivating, and safe. Every therapist ensures that they are providing evidence based treatments for their patients and gets the family involved! I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who wants their loved ones under the best care possible. As an OTA student I am beyond excited to know how amazing a skilled nursing facility can be. I will forever be great full for my time spent with St. Elizabeth. 5 stars across the board!
Marcos, thanks for your kind review. It’s been a pleasure to host you and hope that our paths cross again!
Fantastic experience: I experienced a great time of being at St. Elizabeth in patient & out patient doing rehab for my legs & strengthing & balancing since I was brought there from st.jude hosp. Because I was paralyzed my waist down for two months I worked hard with therapist doing p.t & o.t. to be able to walk again & get my strength back, I walk with walker & sometimes without holding on. Also have to use power chair for distance, I can't drive any more. I am fighting bone metastatic breast cancer, so it's terminal but doing treatments, I'm positive, I'm a Christian, need prayers, go to city of hope, I'm not giving up, I always am helping others, love life it self , enjoy doing things as I can , keep busy. But rest too. Thank so much therapists for what you have done for me when I was there, these people are great at what they do, always happy treat us with care, always asking us if we want water which is the kindest offer since we work out so hard. I love everyone in that therapy room that worked with me & who didn't maybe someday I will. I know you will be great too . Thank you nurses staff & dr.woo for everything you have done to the best you can. Activity your awesome of getting some activities going, I like your being happy & outgoing. Kitchen your food was mostly good. Way to go team!!!!!!!
Positive experience: Treated good. Food was awful.
Fantastic experience: My mother, 97 years old, broke her hip. St. Felizabeth's took great care of her and the physical therapy was fantastic. She is moving around very well.
Mark- Thank you choosing us to care for your mom, it has been our pleasure.
Fantastic experience: I brought my mom to St. Elizabeth Nursing Facility located in Fullerton CA. The staff there is amazing the facility is very clean and they accommodate what my mom needed whether it’s nutrition physical therapy medication they are on top of everything the nurses are wonderful the doctors are amazing and the rest of the staff the front desk they are all amazing I recommend this place for anyone who has an elderly parent that needs medical care I give this place a 10 out of 10.
Katherine- Thank you for choosing us to care for your mom, it is our great pleasure to give her the individual care she deserves.
Fantastic experience: I just completed my 4 week clinical rotation at St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Rehabilitation working side by side the PT/OT/ST staff. During my time there, I personally observed the following behaviors that showed me they cared for their residents: staff collaboration, nurses interacting with their patients while also tending to their other duties, a celebration for patients as they graduate from St. Elizabeth back to home, recreational activities such as an Hawaiian Luau, and most importantly the compassion that staff put forth to provide excellent care for the whole person and not just the disability. St. Elizabeth’s health care team encouraged me to get to know what brought patients to the facility so that I had a back story to the patient’s life, helping me provide residents with more personalized care. I found this to be a great skilled nursing facility with an excellent rehabilitation team. If you or a loved one is in need of care I recommend taking a tour and meeting the friendly, hardworking staff at St. Elizabeth.
Fantastic experience: Brought uncle Pete here . He can’t walk after a fall, and now can walk with his walker..This Healthcare and Rehab facility is a 5 stars facility ! Staffs are truly helpful, kind , caring and amazing! Facility is very clean! Highly recommended facility for your elders! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Fantastic experience: Brought my Dad to St. Elizabeth Rehab after a fall and a broken hip. The whole staff deserves a 5 star! They have been so kind and helpful, from start to finish! Top notch facility! A special shot out to the Director of Rehab, Dennis and his ENTIRE staff and also our Case Manager Elvie! I would highly recommend St. Elizabeth.
Cheri- We are sorry for your dad's injury, but so grateful that we could assist him in his time of need. Thank you for sharing your recommendation.
Fantastic experience: My entire family is so appreciative of the staff, Nurses, Nurses Assistants, PTs, OTs, and administrative team for helping our mother with her recovery after a fall and fractures to her hip and femur. This was in addition to her already bad knees. When a loved one is hurt and in need of ongoing medical attention and support, it is always difficult for family to navigate and ensure they have the best care. We are so thankful we found St Elizabeth. They helped us every step of the way and they helped my mom heal and get back on her feet in a matter of weeks. What made the experience so positive was their attention to detail, attentiveness, care and kindness towards her and her family during our visits throughout her stay. Thank you St Elizabeth!!!Forever thankful for your kindness and grace!

Fantastic experience: My experiences here have been nothing short of splendid. From the friendly and charming receptionist to the various nurses that always seem happy to help you out, you can't help but feel welcome! All of the staff members I have interacted with treat you like family, and combined with their beautiful facility, it truly feels like one big home. From past experiences, I have been apprehensive of nursing homes, but I can confidently say that St. Elizabeth has changed my perspective for the better! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their fine facility to any of my loved ones or friends in the future.
Fantastic experience: I can't speak for the other workers here; however, there is an RN who always provides the best care to their patients. I would trust this facility based on the attention to detail and empathy this staff has. Per the sign, heroes definitely work here. Thanks for all that you do for your patients, St. Elizabeth!

Bryan, thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. Hearing feedback from patients, and family members is one of the many reasons our staff members are so proud to be a part of our team, facility, and community.
Negative experience: Beyond Horrible. If you love your relative or even barely like them, don't let them stay here. My 96 yr old coherrent FIL stayed here for about 3 weeks. I came to visit many times, observed quite a bit. One day he was trying to get someone to help him the bathroom. No one answered his call light for over an hr. Only after I went to nurse station, did he get help. Two times no one helped him to the bathroom on time and he went on the floor. He was humiliated. Observed a 'nurse' prepping meds with her phone propped on the med cart, texting conversation. Nice multitasking. No lie. How many meds errors occur here? We'll never know. Many times while visiting, observed nurses/caregivers standing in the hall laughing while call lights are on, unanswered. Other times, I had to walk the halls to find anyone that could help him. Today I was told by the day nurse that the nurse that cared for him last night 'went a little heavy on the laxative' WHAT He had diarrhea and stomach cramps all day. For a 96 yr old, dehydration is serious. When we left, no one offered to help get him in the car, at this point I figured my husband and I could handle this better than anyone that works there. Yep,sad but true. How does this place get accredited by the State is beyond me. My review is to help others not be put in this terrible facility. It's sad that some older people are here with no one to advocate for them. Good news..my FIL is now in an amazing Board and care, getting the great attention he deserves. I gave this place one star, only because zero isn't an option. Oh.. the valet girl is great.
Fantastic experience: This is the only place my mom has ever liked, which is saying a lot. It feels comfortable and the people are very nice that I’ve met. At another facility, the people scurried away when they saw you looking around trying to figure out who to ask a question of. This place is very helpful and I’m grateful for their kindness and patience.
Fantastic experience: I came to visit St. Elizabeth's after having spinal cord surgery. I was afraid and didn't know what to expect. Being put in an old folks home at 41 was not my idea of a good time. But the staff was so kind and personable that I felt very much at ease quickly. The nursing staff1, physical therapy, and even the kitchen staff were awesome. I was always treated with kindness and respect. I am a fairly independent 41 year woman. With the other, older patients with dementia; I never saw a single instance of an employee being anything but wonderful to patients no matter who was around or not. Patients needing full time care were clean and well cared for. I would feel comfortable leaving my Mom hereby. They are wonderful. Especially nurse Elvi, Teresa, Mongola, and Alma, Gloria, Ashton and Mark just to name a few, are all amazing. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: My father has been there for over a year now. His care has been great and the staff definitely treats him well. Cognitively he is very with it and he expresses how nice the staff is to him. Medically they do a great job as well. They arrange transportation to all his necessary appointments and will accompany him when necessary. He has required a few hospitalizations and their staff was quick to recognize this need Being in the medical field myself, I’ve seen a lot of nursing homes. There is nothing ever sexy about a nursing home so many people are disappointed by their first impressions. I value a nursing home by its staff and it’s care so for this I give them a 5 star. Pros Staff and their attention to the patients Physical therapy Food (except for the hot dogs and sloppy joes) Cable tv Cons Shared rooms No movie channels Limited outdoor time
Fantastic experience: My father was a post stroke patient who needed more rehabilitation to help him be more independent while living with us, and both my wife and I being in the medical field had a very difficult task of finding a facility who we could trust to take care of our father while in their care. After speaking to many friends and associates, St. Elizabeth was at the top of the list as a highly recommended rehabilitation facility. For over 2 weeks our father was in their care and we could not have been better rewarded by the clinical, rehabilitation, physician and facility staff! Dr. Dr. Suresh Veeramachaneni was my father's attending physician. He went out of his way and met my wife and I on Saturday to admit and review my fathers history, needs and recommendations. During his time at the facility, Dr. V (As everyone calls him, can't imagine why...) gave us updates throughout the week and weekends. Through continuous monitoring, he was able to help my father and identify issues that we did not detect previously. The staff were genuine! True compassion and attentive to everyone's needs. The facility had no odors, staff were interacting with their patients and the atmosphere was homelike and calm. I met with Brenda, the Administrator, and it is easy to see why her facility and team are the best; she exhibits the same dedicated focus on wanting to ensure that everyone who spends time at her facility feels welcomed and attended to. My father came back home to us, stronger, more stable and with the help of the medical staff we were able to identify other medical interventions we would never had been aware of if he had not gone to St. Elizabeth. My wife and I sincerely thank all the great people who truly embrace care and compassion for their patients, my father also is grateful to all the help he received in order for him to come back home. Thank You!
Fantastic experience: Great staff and level of care is tip top and the facilities notches are top!
Fantastic experience: I was a patient at St. Elizabeth's in Fullerton recently. The staff gave me great care, were very accommodating, and treated my wife great too when she visited. We were welcome to use the private dining room once when guests brought special dinner to us. Stan Davis
Fantastic experience: My father has been here@least 4 times throughout the past 10 years at St. Elizabeth, now called Genesis and it has been a true blessing. The staff and I mean "entire" staff are kind, loving, and professional. Many years ago I recall one incident where we did have a problem with the main staff Dr. not seeing my Dad when he was supposed to but we were able to turn that around after letting them know we were not happy. The few problems we have had I do know they have been attentive and have produced positive outcomes immediately. It has been a haven for my father. I have never seen more caring nurses and really feel comfortable and welcomed there. Yesterday one of the nurses stayed in the room with us while my father ate his dinner. She would not stop talking about funny/good memories of my father from his previous visit last year. My father knows a lot of the staff by name. I'm sorry others have not had the same experience as us and I empathize with you.
Negative experience: I could not give genesis a good rating since my mother gets no rehabilitation from her stroke and is left alone. She now has class 4 bed sores. No one knows who your suppose to speak with and you are left with no answers. The staff refuses to get her out of bed., no wheel chair, no bath. Animals are treated kinder. She was hospitalized due to their mistreatment. I am moving her to another facility. Do not leave your love one here alone.
Negative experience: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES THERE!!!! My mother had back surgery and was told she was going to a rehabilitation center for a few days after her surgery to have physical therapy. She went on a Saturday and was not seen by anyone until Monday when someone walked her down the hall one time. No one offered her a bath, no one helped her to the restroom, it took 45 minutes for the nurse to come and bring her pain pills. They did not even feed her food, they kept bringing her chicken broth even though she was eating food at the hospital before she left there. We had to tell them to bring her food, which when she received it tasted terrible. We brought her food. My mother and another woman were crying all night one night because no one would bring them their paid medication. It was too warm in there and there were no fans available. When we asked if she could leave they told us it would take a few days to get her released and she would have to see the Dr. first. The Dr. was supposed to come on Tuesday at 2pm and never showed up. I went to the front desk and they said the Dr. did see her because he did a write up saying that he had her do a few things (like touch her fingers to her nose etc.). HE NEVER CAME!!! He lied and wrote the notes never having seen her. How many other people there is this happening to. We told them she was leaving and took her home on Wednesday morning without having been released. I feel so bad for the older people that have to stay there because no one is seeing them and taking care of them. BEWARE!
Positive experience: Good service
