Fantastic experience: Great team of people

Fantastic experience: I am currently being treated at Carling Aquatic and Physical Therapy following hip replacement surgery after a fall. My first impression coming through the door, and being warmly greeted by Amber, was of a very professional office with a caring, competent staff who now feel like family. Steve Carling took a great deal of time on my first visit, listening to my concerns and goals, and then laying out my treatment plan. His sense of humor immediately put me at ease ~ and I felt I was in the right place. One of the things that drew me to this office was the “Aqua” in the name. The dual treatment ~ office and pool ~ has made an extraordinary difference and I feel I have progressed more quickly. They also utilize electronic equipment to augment the exercises and stretching. The pool therapy includes the AQUA STRETCH program administered by another physical therapist, Jessica Huss. What a fantastic experience! She began with my toes and worked on up to my hips ~ I was shocked at the difference her work made in my ability to stand up straighter and to walk more easily. I am profoundly grateful to be under the care of Carling Aquatic and Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: As someone with chronic conditions, I've been in and out of physical therapy for my entire adult life. This is the only physical therapy clinic in the East Valley that I can personally recommend for life-limiting diagnoses related to hypermobility and long-standing or recurrent injury. This is my second go around with Carling PT, and both Steve and Jessica have been absolute angels. Plus, they are enjoyable to spend some time with! With this particular instance of care with both land PT and aqua stretch, I was able to even partially resolve neuropathy that I had previously been told would never be alleviated! It's been an incredible gift to work with Carling. I'll add that long term options (water wellness) are an exciting opportunity for those of us who need long term support. I'm sure I'll be back!

Fantastic experience: I came here for my bicipital tendentious treatment. Steve and his staffs are very friendly and professional. Steve is easy going, very knowledgeable and honest. I felt very comfortable on all my visits. I completely trust him treating my injury. As the result, in a short 1 month-ish, my pain level decreased tremendously and I am able to perform my daily duties and exercises. Thank you for the Pleasance experience!

Fantastic experience: The Carling Physical Therapy educate appropriate exercises to help keep me fit to lessen the pains. They have this electrode soaking of the feet, which is new technology and find it very helpful when they treat for my neuropathy.

Fantastic experience: If I could give Carling Aquatic & Physical Therapy 10 stars, I would. I was treated for a total left knee replacement starting on March 5, 2024 and finished today, June 4, 2024 with excellent results. I knew from the first phone call to schedule my initial consultation that this facility would inspire me to do what was required to return me and my new knee to an optimal functioning state! When I met with Steve on that first visit, I found him to be open and extremely forthright and honest regarding what it was going to take to recover. Everyone involved with my treatment was pleasant, professional and truly cared that I ended up with great results. Steve and Jessica (the therapists) are miracle workers in my humble opinion. Angela, Ellie and Will are the techs that help you in any way they can, always with a smile and a laugh for you if needed. The facility is well-equipped and extremely clean. I felt like family from day 1 with the staff and have made friends with some of my fellow patients. A bonus all the way around. I would not hesitate to return to them if a health problem arises. Fantastic experience: Have been coming to Carling Aquatic & Physical Therapy for over 20 years. Absolutely best therapist in East Valley! I recently had ACL surgery and glad to do the extensive PT at Steve's practice. His practice is so well equipped and has friendly knowledgeable staff that have eased my worries from healing from an injury like this! If you ever need a therapist - he is the place to go. Even brought my mother here when she needed therapy from a sever back injury. Your in good hands with the staff at Carling's PT!

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for the last two months to rehab from shoulder and knee replacement surgery. I’ve seen improvement after each session and I have gained great confidence in my balance and strength. Steve and his staff are fantastic and great to deal with.

Fantastic experience: These guys are the best! I've needed physical therapy for a shoulder injury and my doctor recommended Carling Aquatic. I'm so glad she did, I couldn't have found a better team. Fantastic experience: I had a total knee replacement surgery. My doctor wanted me to do physical therapy before and after surgery. Steve and Jerram are both very nice and knowledgeable and are able to answer my questions about the surgery. I am so glad that I did therapy before the surgery because I have had an easier time than my friends that didn't . They also have 2 assistants there whenever I visit. Instead of an assigned person, they all take turns whenever someone is ready for their next exercise, so that keeps things moving. i've had p.t. before that was only exercises, but they also been massaging the muscles and treating with heat, cold and tens unit. I have improved a lot since my surgery because of their care and attention. I highly recommend Carling physical therapy!

Fantastic experience: This is a Feb, 2022 update. Besides my initial issues, I've been coming here for physical therapy after two rotator cuff surgeries, that took place in 2021 (April and October). They have helped me get my range of motion and strength back in my shoulders. The right shoulder is almost fully recovered now and I'm still in therapy for my left, but it's going well. I'm actually going to miss coming here. I've enjoyed the camaraderie with the staff and other patients. Who thought that physical therapy could be fun. I’ve been coming here for a few weeks now, for neck and shoulder issues. The staff is friendly and since It is a small staff, you get to know your caregivers. I feel that the treatments are helping me. The treatments are also making me more conscious of my situation, so I can help myself better.

Fantastic experience: I fractured my back getting bucked off a horse. During the recovery, the aches were not improving limiting my ability to perform essential job duties. I was also limited in physical activities that I enjoyed. After my first visit to Carling PT, I saw an improvement. Now I've gone several times and my pain has improved so much. I'm back to riding my horse. The staff at Carling are so friendly and professional. They listen to your concerns and help you work through your issues. I must say, I was skeptical about physical therapy at first, but now I'm impressed. Thank you Steve Carling and staff for helping me get back in the saddle. I am very grateful.

Fantastic experience: When I was diagnosed about a month ago with a shoulder/upper arm issue and was told by my doctor to do physical therapy, there was no doubt in my mind where to go. I had physical therapy about 2 years ago at Carling, so I called and got set up right away. The staff are all awesome and Steve is great! They assess your injury and decide on the best treatment. By far, the best place that I have ever gone to for therapy!! Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Carling Physical Therapy. I’ve been a patient there since 2014, off and on. I had a knee replacement and now a broken femur, with 11 surgeries on the leg. They really know how to help me heal and I feel that they all care about my recovery. I get a lot of individualized attention, which helps me to stay focused. My injuries were severe and I know that I will eventually walk normally again, because of my PT team. I’m so grateful to have found them and I appreciate everything they do to keep me on track.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience and my sessions helped my recovery immensely. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they even worked with my insurance to provide me with additional sessions to get me where I needed to be. Fantastic experience: I was referred to this office because of my very unique needs related to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (a connective tissues disorder) I’ve been injured in physical therapy before and I wasn’t anxious to try it again. I’ve been very pleased with my physical therapy here. Steve Carling listens to my feedback and respects my input and adjusts my therapy accordingly. I can trust that I can keep working on strengthening muscles without causing further damage. I am a nurse. I watch the care and compassion given to all the patients here at this office. Fantastic experience: I got referred here by my insurance and I couldn't be happier that this is where I ended up. My main complaint was that I couldn't work (delivery driver) and I couldn't sit at a desk for hobbies for more than 15 to 30 minutes at a time before intense pain in my back replaced the more manageable pain that persisted throughtout my daily life. Steve and his crew provided knowledgeable guidance on effective exercises to strengthen my muscles alongside manual therapies to reduce inflammation. I've been able to comfortably drive for about 8 hours without pain. I don't have nearly as much daily pain as I did before. Everyone here is wonderful for remembering offhand comments about preferences and just generally being friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I sprained my MCL. It was a grade 2 sprain. I could barely walk when I started treatment. Within a week I noticed a huge difference. I went 3 times in the first week and twice a week for the following 2 weeks down to once a week. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Carling knows his stuff and the recommended exercises and stretches along with their treatment has helped me to be nearly 100% back to normal within about a month. I highly recommend them for PT.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff at Carling Physical Therapy is friendly, as well as professional each and every time that I’m there. I’ve been to two facilities in Massachusetts, and the Carling group has exceeded all my expectations. They have helped me with an injured knee, hip replacement and herniated disks. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. They are truly the best!!

Fantastic experience: I have been to 3 separate physical therapists now, and from my experience, this is one of the best places. I really liked all the therapists I've worked with in the past, but what sets this place apart from the rest is how attentive the staff is in reminding me not to push myself too hard. Pain is not always helpful, and they're sure to remind me of it. Steve is careful in his treatment so that it is helpful, and not hurtful. In previous experiences it seemed more like a "no pain, no gain" type atmosphere. That is not the case here. If I could I would give them a 6/5 star review.

Fantastic experience: I'm so glad I chose Carling PT, the entire office staff is great! In particular, Jarrem has been wonderful! He's been working on my right shoulder since I had it replaced, and working his magic on it, I've come so far since he starting working on me.

They have a routine to where you work with everyone there and they all know what they are doing. I would highly recommend Carling PT to anyone that has to go through physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: 2/17/21. Update from original update a week ago. Well this is a hilarious update so bare with me. SAFEST PLACE IN TOWN. Stop laughing staff. I showed up to my appointment. Was late because we're down to one car and had to drop my kid off for practice. Get out and could not find the key fob for my push button car. SO I left it running. The staff was super kind and kept taking turns keeping an eye on my car while I got my therapy. Really, stop laughing staff. I get done with my appointment and thank them for keeping an eye on my kid's car. I get back to my kid's school, 6 miles away and lecture about walking away with the key. I also lecture about sending me to voicemail when I was panicking about finding the key fob which was in her back pack. She looks at me and says mom, my key is in the other back pack in the back seat. REALLY! I'm making a public apology to Carling staff for having you take turns watching my kid's car when the fob was in the other back pack in the back seat. You're welcomed for the best customers joke of a lifetime. Amazing. Far drive but so worth it. Staff is courteous and kind. Accommodate me whenever I go there. Love it.

Fantastic experience: Steve and the rest of the staff, were great. I was treated shoulder, back and ankle injuries from a car accident. Two months of treatment and I'm back at 100%. The office is very clean and they were kind enough to schedule me when it wasn't crowded and they always bring me back for treatment right away.

Fantastic experience: I just arrived to do aquatic's. So far I had an evaluation plus 2 therapy sessions. The staff members are professional plus make it fun. Getting in to land therapy first and then progress to the pool which makes good sense and suggested by Steve therapist/owner. I came because of the reputation and believe they can help me improve my chronic condition and help me meet my therapy goals. Awesome !

Fantastic experience: I have a long history of going to physical therapy. 20 years or so. And in that time, I’ve been treated more often than not like a statistic and a blocked time on their schedule. Not a human with unique needs and goals to be met. That changed when I met Steve Carling. He was pleasant, present mentally, and ready to help. He kept things fun and lighthearted while addressing my needs and coaching me how to improve my quality of life. If I couldn’t achieve what he tasked me to do, he changed his plan without batting an eye. He clearly is here for me, not as a paycheck but as a patient. His team is always ready to help and obviously cares about the well being of their clients. I love this facility and team running it. Couldn’t be a smoother 6 weeks of therapy.

The staff members are professional, friendly, and knowledgeable of the latest techniques. Her patients are friendly and fun to be around in a safe environment. I've sought out their care over the past several years to help me get back in shape quickly after varying injuries and conditions including neck pain, calf muscle tear, Achilles tendon issues, shoulder sprain and MCL tear, always with great results. I gladly have recommended Carling PT to family and friends for help with their physical issues/conditions.

Fantastic experience: Came here with my hand tendinitis and they help me get back to my full range of motion so quickly. I was able to live my normal life again without pain! The staff is some of the nicest people I’ve ever come across. We could all talk about things and have good laughs every time I was there. I’m going to miss going to see them every week. Fantastic experience: I started going to Carling Physical Therapy after stress fracturing my foot and rolling my ankle, After making progress I had a set back when I found two cysts in my foot. They we accommodating and worked with me . Any questions I had they were willing to answer. They have been very helpful, kind, and understanding. Fantastic experience: Great place to do PT and rehab. Friendly staff with a high level of expertise. I have been to numerous PT clinics and they are as good as they get. Happy to say I was able to get the relief I was looking for in just over a month. All PT should be results oriented and they definitely are.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been receiving physical therapy at Carling Physical Therapy for several months. I had a motor vehicle accident in 2012 that accelerated the degenerative disc disease in my cervical spine. When I first began PT at Carling, I could only sleep on my left side and I had limited mobility in my neck. I had frequent spasms and constant pain. Since getting PT at Carling, I am now able to sleep on both sides, and I have increased mobility in my neck. I’m no longer in constant pain, and the spasms are less frequent. What was becoming intolerable and leading me to believe would require surgery within the year per the recommendation of a neurosurgeon is now tolerable. The longer I’m able to put off surgery the better. The staff at Carling PT are great and Steve Carling and his assistant Jerram are knowledgeable and experts at what they do. Thanks Carling PT!

Each time, they provided me with immediate relief from pain and helped me get back to my regular activities. The whole office is very friendly and helped me feel comfortable at each visit. Fantastic experience: My son began going to Carling when he developed back issues. I have had experience with two different PT's (two different issues), and I prefer Carling, hands down. The smaller facility means it is less crowded, and more attention is focused on the patient. You can tell the staff enjoy their jobs, and that makes it a better experience for the patient. Steve's experience in his field shows, and he was able to help my son resolve a back issue that was somewhat elusive. If any of my family or friends need a PT, I will recommend Carling.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Carling Physical Therapy. I have been to several places for PT and I would rate this one the best. They have a very personable and caring atmosphere and will truly listen to your concerns. One thing I really like is that you never have to wait. They do an excellent job of keeping you going through your plan or treatment for the day. They stay on top of this like no other I have been to. I also give the staff high marks for professionalism , knowledge and friendliness. Steve has offered and discussed several treatment options as I continue to go down this path with frozen shoulder. I am currently trying the dry needling and continue to be extremely impressed. Steve made me completely comfortable. If you need PT or are having issues I would highly recommend talking to them.

Fantastic experience: A few years back I had come to Carling for shoulder therapy. So ., when I had knee surgery I came back to the same office. Being a bit older, I was helped with the use of machines. Thank you. I also have skin issues, they were all very careful and patient helping me. I recommend Carling Physical Therapy highly. Thank you all for your help and support. If I ever need PT again, I will return.

Fantastic experience: Steve and his staff are amazing! There are very thorough, professional, caring and knowledgeable of your own particular needs. The staff is very friendly and makes 'working out' a fun experience. Will be having surgery again after the first of the year and will definitely be getting PT again at Carling. Fantastic experience: I had knee replacement surgery and choose. Carling PT for my rehab. They are very thorough with the care I received. Beside the various exercises to get a full range of motion they worked on proper healing of the incision, Astem to help with aches and pains up and down the leg, and massaging of the knee for proper healing. Steve Carling is very personable, knowledgable and encouraging. The entire staff is attentive to your needs. I have enjoyed my appointments and would return here if I needed any other therapy.

Fantastic experience: Still is my 3rd appointment with this physical therapy office. Great customer service, great people skills, the therapist really care, they are concerned about your comfort and your level of pain you have. The therapist are always making sure that your comfortable with your level of pain, making sure that you're not overdoing it. It's an inviting environment from the receptionists in the front to the physical therapist in the back. And trust me, I have been to a few physical therapists offices in my days. And I've always felt uncomfortable, the therapists have always made me feel that I'm over reacting or over exaggerating with my pain. Not this office, they are very concerned and wanting to do what they can to help heal you or do the best they can to help you move easier. Very good physical therapy office .

Fantastic experience: I was having lower back and right hip problems for a couple of months and I went to Carling PT to get some mobility back. After several weeks of therapy I passed a kidney stone I wasn't even aware of and the pain let up immediately! But while I was going through this, the electrostim, cold laser, massage and range of motion exercises they had me doing really helped me keep going through a hard time. The staff are all very nice and the service and professionalism is very good. Hopefully I don't need to go back for a long time but if I did, I'd go back here.
