Our team's ambition is to help you get back to your own goals. Phoenix Children's Sports Medicine Physical Therapy has state-of-the-art physical therapy centers located conveniently near where you live and play. We offer access to some of the most experienced sports medicine physical therapists in the valley, who have access to the same equipment as professional athletes.
Children who are still developing and have suffered an injury require specialized treatment and care. Their recovery process is different from adults, which is why Phoenix Children's has the only sports physical therapy program in the area specifically designed for young athletes aged eight and up.
There are three locations that offer convenient and adjustable before and after school access. Children have the opportunity to be active, such as walking, running, throwing, hitting, and developing their skills in stimulating environments surrounded by other young athletes.
Phoenix Children's new Avondale location has a large area of nearly 8,000 square feet for children and young adults who are competitive. This area includes a gym of 5,000 square feet, a basketball court, pitching and running lanes, open agility areas, and cardio and strength training stations.
At Phoenix Children's, we provide support to young athletes both in our facility and in the local community. Our services, programs, and partnerships benefit everyone involved, creating a mutually beneficial situation.
The Phoenix Children's Motion Analysis Lab at the Main Hospital utilizes computer-aided technology to observe how your child moves. Professionals can observe and provide feedback in real time. Data about movement, power, and muscle activity helps our experts to create personalized treatment plans, track progress, and determine when it is safe for your child to return to playing sports. Our clinicians use motion analysis to treat ACL tendon injuries and other sports-related traumas.
The sports medicine and physical therapy departments provide instruction to athletes, coaches, families, and teams in areas such as preventing injuries, understanding concussions, and how to perform at an excellent level. Our involvement includes:

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a bad injury to her foot and ankle at softball. She goes to see Liz, Rachel, and Jordan multiple times a week and we have seen so much improvement in her strength and mobility.
