Wellsprings Therapy Center of Gilbert

Fantastic experience: This is one of the cleanest and friendliest Rehab facilities in the East Valley. The Staff are very caring take the time needed to care for each of their patients. From time to time, I stop in to sing for their patients who all seem very happy and comfortable. The facilities are beautiful too. There are tree sculptures in each wing of the building and at dusk, the lighting on the sculptures helps create a feeling of peace.

Positive experience: This is a new facility with a very nice layout. Each of the rooms opens to the center common. Staff was pleasant.

Fantastic experience: I have been to several acute and skilled nursing rehabilitation center and by far Wellsprings is the best. There staff is amazing, the center is very clean and no nasty smell like most have. You can turn on the call light and you will have on average someone in your room within minutes the longest I have had to wait was around 5 minutes.They allow your K9's (with updated shot records) to visit you. The food is actually good. I would definitely highly recommend that any of my family and friends come here if they need a skilled nursing rehabilitation center to stay in. I know they will get the best care possible.

Positive experience: I was recently a patient of Wellsprings for wound care and PT/OT. My situation is especially complex as I am a paraplegic since birth and have two problems going on at the same time. I broke my left femur which is inoperable due to having Spina Bifida, a birth defect. I use my legs to momentarily stand and pivot to do transfers from, for example, bed to wheelchair. On top of this, I have two pressure sores on my buttocks. My treatment plan at Wellsprings mainly emphasized wound care and PT to a lesser extent. Here’s my critique: Pros 1 Beautiful, nice spacious private room that’s conducive to the healing process. 2 The CNA staff is wonderful. These fine folks who roll up their sleeves to give us care are rarely recognized for their efforts. This staff is the greatest. 3 PT and OT in the grand scheme of things, developed a plan to adequately fulfill my physical limitations which kept my arms and legs as mobile as can be. 4 The food is very good with some nice ethnic variations. Cons 1 As with most medical facilities from my experience, communication is a problem. You have to contact your doctor via of the nursing staff. The nursing staff although was caring, following up with questions I had for the doctor was lacking. 2 The biggest problem I had was with the PT department not getting back to me after I had requested an appointment with a orthopedic doctor to see if I could weight bear on my broken leg. They were going to work with me on different transfers if I got clearance. I kept asking if an appointment was made and was told “my supervisor is working on it” up until a few days before my time was up. It wasn’t until I got the two warning notice that my Medicare coverage was up that I was given an appointment. Lack of communication. 4 The daily food selection is vague, there are choices available to the patient that’s not indicated on this sheet. Overall, Wellsprings is higher class snf but you have to be your own advocate to overcome these problems with communication.

Fantastic experience: My wife was taken to Wellsprings for therapy and recovery after being in the hospital for a month after being on a ventilator with COVID. The therapy and care she had was outstanding. The staff was very compassionate and willing to help when she needed it. Sure they weren't in her room all the time and she had to wait a little for help sometimes when she called them, but that has to be expected even at home with my support. The facility wasn't new but it had all the equipment and material needed for her. My father was put in a different facility a few years back, that was rated higher then Wellsprings but Wellsprings was far better and friendlier than the more expensive and better rated facility my father was in. I would recommend Wellsprings for therapy and recovery. I really appreciate and thank them for the help and support that they provided. My wife is well on her way to recovery.

Fantastic experience: Their facility is clean and their staff is amazing and wonderful to deal with. Have always had great experiences when dealing with everyone I’ve encountered at Wellsprings. I would recommend this facility to anyone’s family or loved ones!

Fantastic experience: Wellsprings is a fantastic facility. The entire staff is so friendly and professional. It is very clean and comfortable. My sister in law recovered here and had excellent care. I highly recommend them if you are in need of a transitional recovery facility.

Fantastic experience: Our father was transferred to Wellsprings after surgery for a broken thigh. Dad was very anxious when he arrived and everyone at Wellsprings made him feel comfortable and were able to relief his anxiety. The CNAs were excellent. The Physical Therapy staff are amazing and treated dad wonderfully. They were very patient and caring but also were able to get dad to go a bit further each day. Unfortunately, based on Medicare criteria, dad was not making sufficient functional progress, so dad was discharged after a couple of weeks. However, Wellsprings didn’t just tell us to leave. Wellsprings worked with us to be sure we were ready to take dad home and helped us with contacts and information so that we were set up with the caregivers we would need to make sure that dad had the care he needed when we were not available. Thank you, Wellsprings for everything. We would definitely recommend Wellsprings for your rehab needs.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been in quite a few rehabs and none of them even come close to Wellsprings of Gilbert. The nursing staff is very friendly and quick to answer call lights. The therapy staff is amazing and care about getting you back on your feet and home. If you are looking for a rehab this is it!

Fantastic experience: Wellsprings is the cleanest, most professional post-care establishment I have ever had the privilege of working with. They truly care about their patients, and create unique and personal plans to help their patients recover fully. The meals are healthful, the nurses are skilled and truly compassionate. Fantastic experience: I was inn there for over 2 months in 2015. Was partially paralyzed from the waist down, couldn't walk. Was able to walk with a walker when I left. PT staff and Nursing staff are wonderful. The PT was fantastic and never let me give up, worked me like a football camp, to which I am greatful for today. My right leg is almost 100% and my left leg has come back to 80%. My doctors now are amazed.

Fantastic experience: After you read my opinion of Wellsprings you would think I work there. I do not.This is my 3rd encounter with this facility in the last 4 years. Most recent my mother in law. My wife 2 separate times. I have read the negative reviews before formatting this and my heart goes out to those who had a bad experience. We could of went to any of 20 facilities that were 2 miles from our house in Mesa. But having researched and visited these places it sickened my stomach. Wellsprings on all 3 separate occasions have been the cleanest, caring, professional, sincere place I have ever seen. To skeptics out there reading this understand when my mother in law was there the last 3 weeks we were with her almost 14 hours a day between all her family members taking turns. Not once did we see, hear or notice anything that was not extreme professionalism.

Fantastic experience: Hello there! I recently read the reviews, and want to clarify a couple things. First, I want to apologize to folks that had a negative experience. Reading some of the reviews made me quite sad and regretful. Second, I do want to share that Wellsprings has had many positive changes in the last year, with new Executive and Clinical leadership. Our therapy department is now all in house, as well. We are always striving to improve, and I truly appreciate the honest feedback. We'll be taking all reviews to our Quality committee. Thank you!
