Physical Therapy at St. Luke's - West End

Fantastic experience: Physical therapy staff listen to your needs and do a great job with suggestions through the recovery process. Happy that I am back doing the activities I enjoyed before my knee surgery.

Fantastic experience: I went to St Luke's with a sciatica issue. My friends pressured me to go to a chiropractor because they said that physical therapy would not work and that they knew so many people that said the same. I was not a fan of having my back cracked because of all the pain I was in so I chose to go to St Luke's on Cetronia Rd. I have been having such a great experience there. My PT person is Sammy Asad. He is a very caring and compassionate. He knows what he is doing and I can't believe the results. I heard it takes 4 to 6 months to recover. I'm not sure if that is true or not but it's only 4 weeks now that I am going and I can truly say that the pain is almost gone. I do my exercises and follow his plan. I highly recommend this clean facility and Sammy Asad.

Fantastic experience: Started therapy a couple months ago for a broken wrist. I worked with Christine K & she was amazing very helpful, answered all my questions. Would definitely go back to her if I would need any type of therapy.

Fantastic experience: When it came time to schedule my hip replacement surgery, there was no question (due to positive past experiences) as to where I would attend physical therapy - and that is the West End Clinic in Allentown! I am under the care of DPT, Jessica Hamati-Attieh. Jessica is extremely knowledgeable, skillful and genuinely caring. She continues to progress me to a higher level so I can meet my goals in rehab, and I have no doubt that I will! In addition to Jessica, I also need to comment on the rest the amazing staff at this particular clinic. All the Physical Therapists demonstrate assuredness and compassion toward their patients. While maintaining professionalism, it’s evident that this team enjoys working together which in turn, makes the environment a fun place to rehab in. I highly recommend Physical Therapy at St.Luke’s - West End clinic to everyone!

Physical Therapist Sammy Asad carefully assessed my needs and identified the exercises and routines that were best suited for me. Before therapy, I believed the discomfort I was experiencing would be permanent. Thanks to St. Luke’s, I’ve learned specific ways to improve my mobility and reduce pain—and how to maintain those improvements over time. The location is conveniently situated and well maintained. The front desk staff were thorough, and the scheduling and check-in process was simple and efficient.

Fantastic experience: Steve is amazing! I saw him for TMJ. He provides excellent education for what is going on and how to improve it. I have seen improvements in pain and Range of Motion with his help and expertise. I would recommend him to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Start my therapy for my right hand the end of May due a fracture . Since day one Christine was amazing going above and beyond in detail in how my muscle will go back to normal gradually. Give exercise to do back home while attending therapy twice a week . Today I’m so happy with results she definitely walking thru the whole process , graduating intensity . She is so patience , professional and very caring . As much I’m extremely happy with results I will miss her having her as my physical therapist ! She is an amazing professional and human being . I know if I have any question I can count on her . Fantastic experience: I began as a patient trying to get back to work and 5 years later not only am I back to work full time I’ve been pretty much pain free without medication. I graduated a few times into the Step Down Program in the pool, with the exceptional direction of Melody, Chris and Amy I’m in the best shape of my life again pain free!! I was finally able to escape years of pain and I challenge myself now because I want to and because I’m finally able to. I’ve owned an elliptical that sat collecting dust for years, I couldn’t use it due to a shoulder surgery. This morning my Apple Watch informed me I set a record of 70 minutes and I’m beyond proud of myself. I could not have done this without the pool!! Thank you for always believing in me when I said I couldn’t do it, thanks for always showing me the proper way to exercise at home, and most of all thank you for being the best physical therapists I’ve ever worked with. Your dedication is truly inspiring

Fantastic experience: James, was my therapist he helped me out big time. Loved his attitude and commitment to helping me get back to normal. Would recommend anyone who may need physical therapy to stop and see him. The at home directions were very helpful to increase my mobility. I will continue to do the stretching exercises given to me by James.

Fantastic experience: Giovanni was my therapist- awesome! He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to devise a plan that allowed me to dramatically improve my mobility and decrease my pain and numbness in a short period of time. My treatment and visits were all positive experiences.

His ability to pinpoint the area of pain on my back is amazing. I will not let anyone else treat my back. St Luke’s has a wonderful Spine Program Manager.

Fantastic experience: Amazing! Christine, my therapist, got me back up and going with a broken humerus! Everyone there is warm and welcoming including the girls at the front desk. Most people view PT as a necessary evil; you will not feel that here at St Luke’s Physical Therapy. I am beyond grateful and pleased with the treatment plan.

Fantastic experience: My husband Harold McCarthy never believed in PT until he worked with Ashley Zuber. He does his therapy still at home after being released. He had her once before and waited until she came back from leave before starting again. I’m am certain anyone one else could have helped him, however, when you have comfort and faith in that one person it works. Many thanks from Harold and I for her help and patience. Fantastic experience: My experience was amazing, Dr. James Ritter is so knowledgable and taught me so much I didn’t know about my body! He not only helped me recover from my injury but he also helped me become all around a better athlete. He taught me everything I needed to know in order to stay healthy and prevent future injury. Fantastic experience: Following rotator cuff surgery, I had physical therapy at St. Lukes West End Location on Cetronia Road. I was treated by Howie Knudson and Karen O'Donnell. They are a team and my treatment went extremely well. Both Karen and Howie specialize in rotator cuff therapy. Over the course of treatment, I achieved over 95% of my arm motion from an initial 35%. They are both very professional and focus on their patients, taking care to move them carefully through treatment. Moreover, this is a very welcoming environment and all the therapists seem to enjoy their work. They are genuinely very friendly among themselves and with the patients. I am very glad that I chose this location for my therapy and if I need therapy in the future, this will be my location of choice.

Fantastic experience: Great experience, service, and treatment from Howie and Karen at St. Luke's Physical Therapy. I visited for a 6-week treatment plan for a shoulder issue, and all of my discomfort disappeared. I definitely recommend them for your physical therapy needs.

Fantastic experience: I had terrible headaches for nearly a year and after x-rays showed some vertebrae issues my St. Luke's doctor sent me for physical therapy. I was treated by Ashley Zuber at St. Luke's Physical Therapy on Cetronia Road and felt some relief within 2 or 3 visits and after a month or so my headaches are gone! Ashley was very thorough, caring and professional. She taught me several exercises and how to stretch properly and I feel I'm actually cured. I can't thank Ashley enough! Kirk Nagle

Fantastic experience: I went in for the second half of the rehab for ACL and meniscus surgery and I worked with Howie, I thought it was an amazing experience, I needed cut and pivoting exercises as I’m commissioning into the marine corps as an office this coming December (delayed by injury). Since rehab I’ve felt more confident and I can even run consistent 6 min miles if not faster on a usual basis. Everyone is very friendly, scheduling is simple and easy and you can always just call the reception if you have problems. If I were to unfortunately have another incident I would definitely return back to saint luke’s.

Fantastic experience: I want to express my gratitude for the superior Physical Therapy care that I received from Giovanni Stracco, the Spine Program Director at St. Luke’s Physical Therapy at West End Medical Center. Giovanni is gifted with tremendous talent, training, knowledge and intelligence. Additionally helpful to me, is Giovanni’s understanding, thoughtfulness, compassion and kindness. When I began PT, I was initially suffering with terrible back pain and the ensuing anxiety, but Giovanni’s reassuring guidance and thorough treatment plan gave me healing and confidence to complete my recovery journey.

Fantastic experience: James Ritter has helped me on three occasions, two minor ones (back and foot issues) and one major one (total knee replacement recovery). With the minor issues, I was back to full activity within 4 weeks or so. With the knee recovery, I was back to playing golf in 8 weeks. James pushed me hard in a friendly but determined way and the progress I made was a great motivator to be diligent with the exercises during my appointments and at home.

Fantastic experience: This place is the place to go if you need any kind of Physical Therapy. I have been suffering with pain in my hips now for several years. It was recommended that I receive Physical Therapy. Everyone at this facility is wonderful. My Therapist Christine was very helpful with instructing me on how to do my therapy. Also she always asked me questions every session to make sure I understood how to do the exercises on my own time. This is the place to go if you need help! I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: I'm a returning patient to St. Luke's Physical Therapy West End. This time it's for treatment to my neck and back injuries. This is the only place to for Physical Therapy care. My therapist is Giovanni Stracco the Spine Program Director at West End. He is absolutely the best! Everything is well thought out and through. If you need PT care there is no better place to put your trust.

Fantastic experience: I have had pain and range of motion in my neck for more than a year and I didn't know you could just call up, make an appointment and walk in for Physical Therapy. It was my wife that suggested that I should go since she had used the walk in service here at St. Luke's and was impressed with the service. I know we go through life making good and bad decisions but this was a great decision for me to go to Physical Therapy at St. Luke's. Now I have 100% range of motion back and no more neck pain thanks to my PT Giovanni Stracco and his magic fingers. He also showed me the correct way to continue my exercises at home on off session days. Needless to say, I highly recommend St. Luke's and Giovanni.

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful for and extremely please with my care from both of my therapist Karen and Howie. I went with shoulder pain and barely having enough strength to perform my daily activities. I am now stronger and free of the pain that I was living with for over a year. With my first visit Howie was positive they could get me stronger and pain free. I was doubtful thinking...surgery. He was right. Howie and Karen set up a program that helped strengthen the muscles I needed to be stronger. I am very grateful to them. They were always professional, dedicated and caring. The doctors at OAA recommended that I go to physical therapy at St. Luke's. Howie Knudson and Karen O'Donnell and the rest of team at St. Luke's PT spent time questioning me about my work habits and health history. They are informative and caring. The atmosphere is always upbeat and friendly – completely the opposite of the cold and rushed healthcare experience that is far too typical today. With a mix of massage and an exercise routines, that I'll continue for the rest of my life, my neck feels better than it has in decades. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Giovanni for neck and related arm pain by another PT who thought I could benefit from his expertise. Following initial evaluation, he gave me several simple exercises and within the first 10 days the pain decreased by 80 percent. He used 3-4 additional sessions to monitor progress and review. Giovanni's approach included a targeted, simple, sustainable program to address acute pain and manage recurrent issues. I recommend him without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: This facility is well run and staffed by friendly, efficient people. They make it easy to schedule appointments and I am always seen on time. My physical therapist, Giovanni Stracco, is incredibly knowledgable, compassionate and highly skilled. He has a large repertoire of treatments for my chronic pain and I so appreciate his efforts to help me. I have gone to other facilities in Phila. and the Lehigh Valley for physical therapy and this is clearly the best.

Negative experience: It was bad they did not talk to me about letting me go due to rescheduling , or call me about my appointments or if I was gonna be discharge before hand they don't pay attention to one person at a time the secretary was rude on the phone I try to talk to manager and he fused I would not go to the physical therapy on Cetronia Road they are the worst and I've always liked St. Luke's this time was really bad..
