Fantastic experience: I recently completed my physical therapy sessions, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed and comfortable. The professionalism of the team was evident in every interaction; they took the time to listen to my concerns and tailored my treatment plan accordingly. The therapists were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly supportive and encouraging throughout my recovery journey. They explained each exercise clearly and ensured I was performing them correctly, which really helped boost my confidence. Fantastic experience: One of the best in the valley. I had double knee replacement surgery and after 23 sections I was back on the court playing pickleball. My physical therapy's Jordan Rivera, DPT and Renee Lambeth, PTA are some of the best in there field. Although I was in a little pain at times, I knew it was in best interest in my recovery. Fantastic experience: I went to the Foothills PT in Glendale, Arizona for some piriformis muscle pain which really limited my activity. Painful to walk very far at all and because the sciatic nerve runs either above or below the piriformis I had nerve pain all the way down the leg. I saw Andrew the PT there who did some dry needling of the involved area and also into the low back. Nicole the PTA did cupping of the involved area and Into the lower back as the inflammation moved up into my low back as well. See photos of piriformis and of the cupping I had done. After number of treatments I had dramatic reduction in symptoms and now I am back to normal. I described the reduction in the symptoms as a Nestea Plunge” or Ahhhhh! Fantastic experience: I have been a patient off and on for many years due to a chronic physical condition. I love Doug and his team. I was a former gymnast and had been dealing with pain from a back injury for 10 years. I went to Alex hoping for some relief with my back and I gained SO much more than I could have ever imagined. Fantastic experience: Alex was my PT and he literally changed my life. I had chronic Achilles tendinitis and severe knee pain from sports injuries over a decade ago and he was able to clear it up with needling and a clear routine to strengthen my joints and muscles.

Fantastic experience: After 5 years of progressive lower back pain & issues with my left leg I was fortunate to get a referral to Alex at Foothills Sports Medicine PT. In only 2 weeks he isolated my pain and determined the issue was my left hip! Today I am well on my way towards recovery from a much needed hip replacement because Alex and team have expertly handled my PT care! I am thankful for Alex and ALL the team at Foothills!

Negative experience: The location on Deer Valley Road in Peoria was dirty and chaotic. Would not go there if looking for 1:1 environment with your Physical Therapist.

Fantastic experience: I had Foothills highly recommended to me from a friend and a co-worker. I tore the labrum in my left shoulder and did PT post surgery here. I worked with Doug at the beginning and then spent most of my time with Stacey and Renee. The whole team here is amazing. They are professionals and good character people that I truly enjoyed being around. I had some friends that had the same surgery and did PT elsewhere and they did not get the same high level of service that I received here. I highly recommend Doug and his team to anyone needing physical therapy!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Foothills Arrowhead since I was a child and they have always amazed me with the positive environment and the love they have for helping people like me. I came in with severe back pain that was so bad I couldn't walk. They stayed by my side and never gave up on me through it all. My therapist was Alex (DPT) and he was amazing! There are so many technicians to help you master your exercises to perfection and a huge variety of physical therapist and physical therapy assistants that are all so AMAZING! they have such positive attitudes and are willing to joke around with you if you are up for it! I would recommend this place to everyone I know and I will come here for any injuries I have in my future.

Fantastic experience: Foothills Sports medicine physical therapy is the best!!! I’ve seen them for pre-op and post-op knee surgery and physical therapy for other injuries and pain management. The front office is so friendly, helpful and efficient. The physical therapy techs are awesome and knowledgeable. My physical therapist is Alex. He is the dry needling master and can manage to chase pain out of my body that has been nagging me for years! My entire family sees him. (We are all broken) I never realized how beneficial physical therapy could be. No matter how much much pain I’m in, I look forward to going and I always leave feeling so. Much. Better. Five stars isn’t a high enough rating for this place!!

Fantastic experience: I used them for PT on my broken leg for several months. The therapists and assistants were friendly and excellent, and they were able to customize a program for me that allowed a combination of in-person at at-home PT.

Fantastic experience: What can I say? I love this place! Doug Howard has helped me tremendously. I am 74 and went in for a limp and pain in my right knee. After getting dry needled, I walked out without a limp and no pain! He was able to help me with muscle pain in my upper back, neck and arms. The pain has been there for over 50 years and I am amazed at how great I am functioning without pain…. I highly recommend for anyone. My husband starts with Doug in a few weeks! The staff and the physical therapists are amazing…. Renee, Roberto, Megan, Dee and everyone else! Thank you for changing my life!

Most recently I had a full knee replacement in December and have been going 2-3 times a week for PT. I would not be where I am today with my recovery if not for Dr. Doug Howard and his amazing staff. Everyone there is so friendly and knows my name. Thank you all for everything! I would highly recommend Foothills to anyone looking for any physical therapy. The are #1!!

Negative experience: The Therapists are great, however parking is at a Premium. I usually had to park quite a distance & with my foot requiring the therapy was not acceptable. The Scheduling? Let's just say when I made my last 2 appointments (in person) I put them in my phone at the time I made them, saying the times back to the scheduler. I showed up the next week and they had no record of my appointment. I had them check for my next appointnent....it was non-existant. I left and will probably not return. It didn't seem very important to them that THEY screwed up.

Fantastic experience: I am once again needing physical therapy after a knee revision. I knew exactly where I was going for my therapy...FOOTHILLS, on Deer Valley off 75th Ave. I enjoy going there because not only are they very professional, but the whole atmosphere is....HAPPY. Today I went in feeling a little discouraged because I felt like I had 'taken a step backwards'. After getting my staples out, it felt so tight in the incision area and I couldn't bend my knee as far as I had been. I got on the bike, first thing, and could not even peddle all the way around. I was bummed! BUT, when Alex asked how I was doing when he walked by, I told him. He told me to come over and let him massage the knee area. He was gentle, but pushed my knee as he worked on it. Well, by the time I got back on the bike I was peddling like crazy! When you go in for PT, you get to know everyone that works there. Someone is always right there to help you. I actually look forward to my PT. I wouldn't even think to go anywhere else!

If you’re committed to putting in the work (“Tiny circles Devon!”), getting healed and learning why you need to do each activity, Foothills Arrowhead is where you need to go. From surgical rehab to collision injuries (done both) this group knows how to get you better. They use every technique in the book to get you right. This is not cookie cutter rehab. Your goals determine your needs, not the other way around. Then everyone on the floor learns about you and your goals. Then it seems like every one of them watch you like hawks to ensure you’re getting the most out of your time here. Physical Therapist Stacey has done some amazing work on multiple injury locations following a car/bike get together (I was not in the car, though I was on top for a time). Using all sorts of tools and techniques, her treatment to my injuries have greatly exceeded my therapy expectations. Stacey is an extremely talented and effective therapist, but she also helped me understand the dynamics of my injuries and how to get all my dents and dings better. I have found the overall therapeutic philosophy at Foothills is a patient-focused, goal oriented, team endeavor. However, here you are not just the patient, but a vital member of the rehab team and everyone works with you to get you to YOUR goals. I would be remiss if I did not also give some credit to the office staff and front desk team. They do a fantastic job of scheduling, check-in and helping navigate the insurance aspect of your rehab. They’re all terrific and absolutely essential to the team. These folks care about you getting better and it shows.

Fantastic experience: I tore my ACL twice within a year and both times I did PT here. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming and I worked with Scott and Renee. I loved how they pushed me during my recovery, which ensured that visits were never boring or mundane. I was challenged so well with the exercises that 5 months went by so quickly!! I gained so much strength back after some atrophy due to inactivity. Definitely recommend going here!! Thank you Foothills for all the help.

My HX: over the past 7 years- broken foot, broken wrist, MVA, Back pain, Fractured ribs, bilateral total knee replacement, shoulder injury, and currently hamstring injury. I have quite a history with Foothills as you can see and they are experts in diagnosis and appropriate treatment. They have gotten me “back in the game” Swiftly and have decreased any need for pain meds. Doug Howard is excellent at dry needling and I feel the improvement immediately. Fantastic experience: I have been attending Foothills Physical Therapy Arrowhead since February of 2016 when I needed therapy for my back/spine! Since the beginning, every staff member has eased my pain with warm welcoming greetings and kindness. Dee has been my therapist since the beginning. She is the most amazing and talented individual. Because of Dee’s expertise, my spine has stabilized, and I am able to continue life as normal. Alongside Dee, Scott also works on my back/spine. Both will ask how my back feels that week and solves the pain I am experiencing. They make sure that I can live my life without being in terrible back pain. Scott’s expertise in needling has been a life saver. Foothills Physical Therapy truly has been a big part of my life. Without them I don’t think I would be able to function daily. This is the only place I will go for any needs ranging from Plantar Fasciitis on up to any injury or surgery that requires rehab.

Fantastic experience: I first started physical therapy at the Arrowhead branch of Foothills last year following an issue with my right knee that prompted surgical correction for a meniscus tear. I am a repeat customer this year because of some issues with chronic back and shoulder pain. First, it should be noted I would not have returned to this clinic had I not been incredibly impressed with Doug Howard and his staff during my first go-round. Doug’s understanding of physiology and his ability to impart information in layman's terms continue to give me greater perspective on the “whys” and “hows” of functionality. The dry-needling sessions have offered relief in areas I didn’t even realize were affected, and the prescribed exercises are increasing my mobility and my tolerance for certain movements that I simply could not manage before. The Foothills PT staff is flexible and fast-moving. Sometimes a PT associate working with me on my exercises needs to check in with another client. When this happens I have discovered that, even if I have completed a task before he or she returns, other PT associates are circulating throughout the room constantly — with eyes always on the lookout for idle bodies — and one of them will pick up my treatment schedule and direct/spot me on the next exercise. Also, if I am doing something wrong or if it appears to an associate that an exercise is too easy or too difficult for me, he or she will correct my form or suggest a modification better matched to my abilities. Those concerned with COVID should know that masks are mandatory for staff and clients, and I have witnessed treatment benches and equipment being routinely sanitized between patients. I originally was referred to Foothills by a trusted doctor, and friends “in the know” have indicated this is THE place to go. I certainly understand why. In short, I highly recommend Foothills to anyone in need of physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: I am very happy with FSMPT / Arrowhead. I was referred to them by my Orthopedic Surgeon after major cervical surgery. They are very knowledgeable, and learn specifics of your case so that they are able to give you the best possible treatment. All of the staff there work very well together as a team and all have a very positive attitude. They make you feel good about being there and explain what they are trying to help you accomplish with each step of the process.

Fantastic experience: The staff are wonderful! I have used this facility twice and my husband has used it once for PT following shoulder surgery. They keep us on track, make sure we are doing the exercises correctly and keep challenging our goals to get better and accomplish more. Very friendly and congenial place that makes PT FUN! Fantastic experience: This is my second time in about four years that I have sought the help of Foothills Sport Med, I have no insurance. The first time was for a golf injury to my oblique mussel, sore like crazy. It took three sessions and a smarter swing and I was good. This time is for a headache that I have had for at least six years. Many doctors and plans nothing has worked. I called Doug Howard explained my problem and set up an appointment, no promises from Doug, but I am willing to take a chance. Well, three sessions no results, we will try one more time. If it does work GREAT, if not I have found one less avenue.

It turned out that he loved coming and looked forward to his visits. These guys are great and their extended hours helped me out a ton so I didn’t have to miss work!

Negative experience: Make sure you pay attention to your billing really close.When I first started physical therapy I was in a very traumatic accident...I researched places to go and began pricing them... I specifically asked foothills for what my pricing would be...They told me my copay was 20 dollars....I paid my "copay" every visit ....But then I got a bill for 18 dollars.I immediatley asked what the charge was related to....They looked up my billing records and told me I had a balance of almost 300 dollars ....I was dumbfounded....I terminated my Physical therapy at that moment. What they do here is have young inexperienced kids without pt degrees that they call "techs" do your exercises with you.....They charge your insurance like 160 dollars for each excercise...then a massage therapist rubs you for like 8 minutes...Then they charge your insurance a total of like 400+ dollars per visit....At no time did anyone tell me I had a balance accruing (this occured over 12 visits or so and I feel they had ample time to notify me)....To me this place is a racket....They take vulnerable people and milk them for all they are worth..When I went to pay the balance the person at the counter agreed that they made a huge mistake and apologized but wasnt willing to do anything for us.I would not recommend this place to anyone....unless you want to be taken advantage of....I feel completley bamboozled by these people who who display this fictitious compassion.As for the actual therapy it was mediocre at best...You are on your own in this place...The ppace is constantly packed with overbooked (clients having you wait sometimes 45 minutes to see your therapist)They are completely disorganized...and you can truly tell that they do not care about the patient....I have gained more mobility since I left then the whole 5 months I was with them...Run as far away from this place as you can!!

Fantastic experience: I would recommend Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy to anyone needing therapy for any reason. This is the fourth time I have needed therapy and the first time using Foothills and I couldn't be happier. They have a very professional staff that is always on top of things and make sure that you receive the best of care. No matter how busy they are you will never stand around or wait on a table for someone to take care of you. Their staff is quick to recognize your needs and will make sure you are taken care of in a minimal amount of time. If you need any type of physical therapy this is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: The staff here were all very nice and professional. They took their time and really worked with me, even on days where I was lacking energy and motivation! Within about 10 visits, the pain that prompted me to go to Foothills was completely gone! I would definitely recommend Foothills Sports Medicine to anybody that needs physical therapy!

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been at two other Physical Therapy places due to an athletic injury from 4 years ago. This is by far the best, most productive and knowledgable experience we've ever had. Their recommendations and helping her after her surgery has been above and beyond our expectations, and I would recommend this to anyone who's an athlete.

Fantastic experience: I dislike being late so I show up early to every appointment and no matter what time I arrive they take me back every time. Front desk staff is very attentive and friendly. PT is awesome along with the techs. If I finish an exercise there is always a staff member checking on me to make sure I know what to do next. One on one with PT Jordon has implemented massage, taping, combo of tens and ultrasound, cupping, and since I have some really problem areas is going to have me see a different PT to do dry needling. I always end with tens and cold therapy (some prefer heat). All staff are professional and friendly. I would and have recommended this place to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Foothills are amazing, they are great at what they do and are extremely professional. They make sure you are taken care of promptly as soon as you walk in the door. I've been to other therapy locations but none compare to Foothills. I will never use any other therapy locations in the future, I highly recommend Foothills Sports Medicine for whatever injury or ailment you suffer.

Fantastic experience: I came to Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy due to an off season injury for peroneal tendonitis. Doug was able to get me in almost immediately and knew exactly how to treat this injury. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and everyone makes you feel at home the minute you walk in. I highly recommend this team for not only physical therapy, but for off season training and conditioning!
