Fantastic experience: I started seeing Shannon for numbness, tingling and loss of strength in my right arm. She has been a Godsend! She showed me many different exercises that I can do at home to improve both my strength and numbness symptoms. Fantastic experience: I am a competitive weightlifter and have come to Athletico for both my shoulder and stress fractures/shin splints in my legs. Athletico is my go-to place whenever I am not physically feeling my best. Whether it’s a serious issue that requires 12 weeks of PT, a medium issue that requires 4 weeks of PT, or a drop in every once in a while for maintenance, this facility and its PTs keep me feeling my best so I can train without injury. I have learned so much about how to take care of my own body and appreciate all of their help and knowledge. I have seen many different PTs here and they are all amazing — especially Shannon! Fantastic experience: I have been getting physical therapy at this location for about 1 year now. I have excellent experience here. First they helped me with my impingement syndrome of my left shoulder. Then they helped me with my torn meniscus. In that process they also helped me with my relenting plantar fasciitis. Now I am getting help with left hip pain, which is improving. Therapists and supporting staff are not only skillful but also very kind and caring. I would definitely recommend you to check it out if you have any needs for physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!!While I worked primarily with Laura, I was so impressed with all the staff! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and really care about you as a whole person. Laura is fantastic! She is easy to work with and responsive to what you need. She pushes you to work to your capacity as well as through any issues which come up. I started out with the primary concern of Tennis Elbow. Through working with Laura, we discovered some contributing factors with my neck in particular. Laura helped incorporate this into my treatment as well. I also had an opportunity to work a couple times with Shannon. Shannon did my initial assessment, and when she stepped in while Laura was off, she was very encouraging, noting the progress which had been made. It was also great to see what a team they are. When I did see Shannon, the treatment was pretty seamless. She was able to access Laura’s notes and then also add a few things as well to try. Michelle is new to the GR area. I was able to meet with her once when they kindly worked me in. She seems to know her stuff. They all have there own styles but are such a team! I shouldn’t leave out the office staff. They really add to the team atmosphere. I could not be any happier with my treatment and highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: What a welcoming, comforting, and caring PT office! I was lucky enough to work with a lot of the staff, and they were all absolutely amazing. The care I received was so intentional and personalized to me. I didn’t even think it was possible to make the growth that I did in the time I did! Fantastic experience: Shannon and Gretchen helped and believed in me when over the past couple of years I felt no one else did. Their work and notes narrowed down my pain areas and saved me months more of work with other doctors. Without them I could still be searching for answers, instead I got the right treatment and feel so much better. I had a great experience with them and other PTs and techs who also helped me on occasion. Of the 30ish visits with PTs over the last 2 years at 3 different companies, they were head and shoulders above the competition.

Fantastic experience: If there was twenty stars that’s what they would get! Shannon and all the staff there went above and beyond for all my PT needs. I had vertigo and they got me in right away! I had intense vertigo symptoms and Shannon called other staff and an ENT for more information so that I could have fast results. Clean, friendly, and flexible! 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely recommend. Five stars isn't enough! Laura was my PT and is 120% amazing. She's super knowledgeable, professional, encouraging and great to work with. I also had the pleasure of working with Shannon for a few sessions and she's fantastic too. Regardless - you'll be in more-than-capable hands and will receive top-notch, personalized care. They see a lot of people and I was amazed how I still felt like I was their only patient or a VIP. They're clearly passionate about what they do and the results prove it. On my first visit, I was in terrible pain and barely able to walk and 2 months later on my last visit, I did some light jogging on the treadmill (plus many other exercises) with no pain. Of course I was diligent in following their at-home program and exercises too. I'm stronger and feel better today than before my injury. They didn't just help me return to baseline, they took me beyond and elevated that baseline. They also gave me a lot of knowledge and guidance to help me prevent re-injury. Also - during one of my visits, a former patient showed up just to express gratitude and heap praise on the group. 133 and counting 5-star reviews also speaks volumes. I hope I'm not injured again but if I am, they're my first call and should be yours. This measly Google review doesn't hold a candle to the gratitude I have for receiving care here.

Fantastic experience: Athletico on the East Beltline is my go-to location for physical therapy. They worked through a labrum tear with me a couple of years ago and helped me avoid surgery. I requested a return visit this year when my doctor recommended therapy for a nerve/neck/back issue. Laura and the team had me pain free within a couple of weeks and I was able to work through the program quicker than expected. I highly recommend this location for your rehab needs!

Fantastic experience: Becoming a later-in-life runner has many MANY benefits. However, it comes with a few disadvantages. Injury being the worst. Thankfully, Athletico Physical Therapy exists! Having aggravated an old knee injury whilst trail running, I was referred to Laura and Shannon at the Knapp/Beltline office. They were not only supremely knowledgeable, but oh so patient, committed to the effort and incredibly kind. Everything you could ask for in a PT office. Fantastic experience: I'm so grateful for the professionalism and expertise of Shannon and Tyler at Athletico. They did a great job at getting my shoulders rehabilitated. I would definitely go back for any future physical therapy needs. Dec 2020: Back again, this time with right sciatic, gluteous and leg pain. Laura was just starting there when I met her, but she knows her stuff! A couple of months of learning focused stretching and strength building exercises, and by March 2021, I am pain free and ready for spring and summer. Still 5 stars, everyone on staff is incredibly nice and knowledgeable. You will be very happy to give yourself to Athletico's care.

Fantastic experience: I started going to Athletico for knee pain that was caused or maybe worsened by being pregnant. This was my first time going to PT so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was amazed at the progress I noticed almost immediately. Shannon was absolutely fantastic with assessing what was going on and creating a plan with me for addressing it. I really appreciated how Shannon was very mindful of the pregnancy and adjusted positions or exercises accordingly. In addition to the time at the sessions, she also provided helpful guidance on how to modify some of my daily activities at home to avoid continuing to aggravate the issue. I’m so grateful for Shannon’s assistance helping me get stronger, manage the pain and feel able to make it through the next 10 weeks with two littles at home! Highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend The East Beltline Athetico. The therapists are knowledgeable, easy to work with, and intuitive. I appreciate how they listen to help create a plan to help you reach your goals. Communication is key to help each patient reach these goals. Therapists educate, coach, encourage, and instruct each patient every step of the way. If any of my family members future require physical therapy I know they will be in good hands at the East Beltline Athletico.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I both ended up working with Shannon, Laura, and Izzy for our different treatments this Winter/Spring. I'm so thankful for our journey and recovery with them. Shannon is a treasure; passionate about her work, knowledgeable and skilled, keen on the intracacies of healing, a confident "we're going to figure this out," kind of approach, and a truly great human all around. I presented as the "dreaded" patient with old injuries, chronic pain, and trauma. I'm not a stranger to being shuffled from one provider to another, reaching the end of various treatment plans without success and moved on as my body did not respond to basic treatments or do so in a timely manner. But Shannon was different from the beginning; she listened closely, she was not deterred by my "challenges", and was able to offer various treatments I had not experienced before. Graston and dry needling ended up being amazing for my scar tissue, chronic tight muscle pain, and weakness of the entire right side of my body due to a car accident from 20+ years ago. This combined with weekly goals of strengthening, a low pressure attitude, and generous encouragement and affirmation has significantly changed my life for the better! I can do activities and exercises that I have not been able to do in all of these years and go about my daily routines with more energy, stamina and little to no pain. She has been good about offering a plan for follow up care as well, if needed in the future. Shannon and Laura were also instrumental in helping my teenage daughter to heal from her concussion and broken collarbone. She loved their personal approach and care for her. Motivating a teenager who suffered from daily headaches, little sleep, all in the midst of COVID was no small feat! The team at Athletico Knapps Corner is amazing, we are so blessed to have been in their care! We highly recommend their treatment!

My appointment was scheduled within days of my call and Erika was extremely helpful. Cora, my physical therapist, evaluated my recovery status, created a specific plan based on my goals and provided the reassurance I needed to continue. Cora took the time during every appointment to explain the exercises, adjust them to fit my needs, she watched for subtle errors in my technique (overcompensation, incorrect positioning, etc.) and helped me to correct and identify them myself. I am extremely grateful to Cora and the entire staff for helping me recovery during unprecedented circumstances!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t be more pleased with the care I received at Athletico-Knapps corner. I had been in horrible pain for months before I finally had an MRI that showed I had a herniated disc. When I started physical therapy with Cora my movement was severely limited and I couldn’t even sit in one position for more than 5 minutes. After 6 weeks of therapy I still have a little way to go but I am SO much better. Cora was wonderful, always including me in the plan and would focus our sessions on whatever I felt was most important for that day. She gave me great exercises and stretches to do at home and I really felt like the sessions helped me each week. I can tell she is super knowledgeable. Everyone at the office is super friendly and I found it easy to get an apt. that fit with my schedule. I actually have an Athletico location about 2 minutes from my house but after starting here (referred here initially from my provider) I didn’t want to switch because Cora was so great so I drove 30 minutes to the Knapp’s Corner location. This place is absolutely wonderful!

Fantastic experience: Everyone I worked with at this office was incredibly helpful and encouraging throughout my entire PT process. I scheduled appointments through Erica, who was always friendly and knowledgable over the phone with any questions I had. For my physical therapy, I mainly worked with Tyler Martin. He set obtainable goals that were also challenging, and if something was too difficult, he would adjust it to what was needed. If I had a question about my home exercises between appointments I could contact them, and get a prompt response. I've already recommended Tyler and the Athletico staff to family and friends, and will continue to do so If i get injured again, I will go back to their office for sure, but hopefully that won't happen :)

Fantastic experience: Facility conveniently located and all necessary equipment is available. Staff is experienced and knowledgeable, I only worked with Shannon and Erica, because pandemic and social distancing. We were able to do some video medicine early on and that was really convenient. I couldn't get there for one on one treatment. I am now walking again and pain free. I would recommend Athletico for physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: I started PT with Cora at Athletico at the end of March for back pain and foot drop after back surgery in Feb. We met twice a week for about 8 weeks but due to Covid 19 several of those meetings by Zoom. I must say that even though the video meetings and a couple setback along the way, Cora was great. She always listened to my concerns and had new ideas if one or 2 of the exercises were not helpful or caused more pain. She took the time to show my wife how to help me at home via zoom. She gave me a full list of exercises I can do on my own that I am still doing to help my balance and strength. My back pain is gone but my foot drop, due to nerve damage, is still there but with the exercises is much more manageable now. I would Highly recommend Athletico and Cora at Knapp's Corner to anyone in need of PT.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things to say about working with Cora. I had a lot of hip pain and mobility during and after my pregnancy. I saw two other PTs over two years and it wasn't until my OBGYN referred me to Cora that we began actually addressing the issues that I had with my pelvic floor and muscle coordination. She also helped me reach the point where I was feeling able to strong enough to return to a regular exercise routine and the activities I wanted to do (instead of just not feeling pain). She was professional and so knowledgeable, and so were the other staff members at the location.

Fantastic experience: Shannon was FANTASTIC! As a physical therapist myself, I was so impressed by her level of knowledge, her manual techniques, as well as her ideas for therapeutic exercises...not to mention, so very kind! Would recommend for anyone needing a nudge in the right rehab direction!!

Fantastic experience: Cora was my physical therapist. She listened to my journey with Fibromyalgia and was able to access and develop a stretching program to relieve the pain in my upper body. The stretches have helped with the stress in my shoulders especially. I would highly recommend Athletico Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: Top quality! I experienced professionalism to the extreme. My therapist quickly adjusted to my injury and was able to meet me exactly where I was at physically. He would adapt exercises and encourage me throughout my therapy. He was very knowledgeable and explained the exercise and how it would strengthen specific muscles. He was patient and kind throughout my time at Knapps Corner Atheletico. Can’t forget the staff at this location very fun and friendly. Fantastic experience: Tyler was the BEST! He took me seriously even though I can sometimes be dramatic :), was encouraging when I had doubts about if I was really hurt, and stuck with me throughout the process until I was strong enough to venture on my own. I’m thankful for all of his help! The rest of the staff was amazing as well! I’m happy to be done, but I will miss everyone there! You even get a free shirt at the end which was the best surprise! Highly recommended!!

Fantastic experience: I was treated for a concussion by Shannon Lubs. She was fantastic. Up to date on research, personable, easy to talk to and excellent at what she does. I highly recommend her office. If I ever have a concussion again(hopefully not ever!) or other musculoskeletal problems I would definitely seek care here. I’m a PA in primary care I will also be referring patients to her given the high quality of service and their flexible appointment times.

Fantastic experience: I'm so grateful for the professionalism and expertise of Shannon and Tyler at Athletico. They did a great job at getting my shoulders rehabilitated. I would definitely go back for any future physical therapy needs. Dec 2020: Back again, this time with right sciatic, gluteous and leg pain. Laura was just starting there when I met her, but she knows her stuff! A couple of months of learning focused stretching and strength building exercises, and by March 2021, I am pain free and ready for spring and summer. Still 5 stars, everyone on staff is incredibly nice and knowledgeable. You will be very happy to give yourself to Athletico's care.

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience working with Tyler at Athletico (Knapp location). My goal was to run again after my posterior tibialis surgery and now I am running without pain! Tyler was very knowledgeable, patient and supportive during my physical therapy sessions. He was always willing to answer my questions and continued to check in on my progress. Fantastic experience: We are thrilled with the care Shannon provided our daughter. Our daughter suffered from strange headaches that came on suddenly and were often accompanied by dizziness. Even without a specific injury or location, Shannon was able to deduce the reason for the headaches and correct an imbalance in our daughter's neck muscles. Shannon also worked with our daughter's feet to improve flexibility and strength. Shannon is a former dancer so she knew what my daughter meant when she used ballet terms.
