Fantastic experience: Outstanding place for PT! The entire staff make it a comfortable environment and are easy to work with.

Positive experience: Overall it's a good facility, but I went in for nerve problems in my arms, tweaked muscle in my calf, and muscle fatigue in my left hand. Only 1 of the 3 was worked on and the other two were forgotten. I was not real happy about that because it was bothering me and I felt like it was underappreciated and under valued. The after care was not even present after doing the exercise.

Fantastic experience: Nicholas and his team are super solid. Very welcoming and accommodating. The therapy has definitely helped my symptoms.

Positive experience: In just one week, I had amazing results from the stretches and exercises that Jim gave me for my knee pain! I was very impressed with him. The other staff there all seem very professional and adept at their jobs, as well. The space is a bit on the old side and needs some refurbishment, but I heard that is upcoming. I highly recommend Advent PT.

Fantastic experience: Matt is great. He has a very gentle manner and is quite thorough in his inquiries about how I'm doing and in getting the information he needs to be able to help me. The latter can be difficult when you're in pain and just want to get through with the therapy. But I know that Matt cares about me and is asking questions he needs to in order to be able to best help me. He is also very gentle and cautious in anything that he has to do involving his having to touch me in any way that might cause me pain - like trying to figure out my range of motion in, for example, my legs generally. He just emanates caring and gives me a real sense of confidence in his ability to care for me. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Ashley, Leslie, Amanda were great this week. They found places in my back that needed work. I have pain in certain areas, and on my spinal cord. They explained what exercises I need to do to better my back. As I keep going for the next 2 weeks, we will see if it helps. I do feel better when I leave the place. I just need to keep following their recommendations to see if it's really effective. I will continue to update. Update- My back feels better, less pain, feeling much better. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: The staff greet you by name and welcome you in to a prepared workout tailored for your specific needs. They are eager to help and make the experience as positive as they can. They all obviously enjoy what they do :)

Fantastic experience: Matt was great and the team was really friendly, cheerful, and had an all around good atmosphere. I came in with sciatica shooting down my leg and into my foot. I can say after a month of hard work and continually exercising at home, my condition is much improved. It really helps that they do massage therapy. I’ve been to other PT places that use ultrasound and STEM, but they didn’t help nearly as much as the massages which directly targeted tight muscle groups which were part of the root problem. Thanks to the team at Advent!

Fantastic experience: Advent Downtown is the best place I have ever went for therapy. The therapists are smart and knowledgeable and know just what to do if you commit to the process. It is also a great environment that is encouraging and fun and always different.

Fantastic experience: This is my third time going through physical therapy with advent. The first time my mid and upper back had a lot of pain. It’s several years later and my pain went from a 10 to a 2. The next time I went through Advent I was seen for lower lumbar pain. The treatment helped my pain go from 10 to 3. Now I’m currently being treated for a running injury in my hip. It’s slow going but I know if I keep up the exercises that I was taught at Advent is will decrease my pain and promote a holistic lifestyle. Since starting at advent I was able to run the riverbank run two years in a row!

Fantastic experience: Advent Physical Therapy was able to set up 6 weeks of scheduled appointments in a quick manner while accommodating my busy schedule. My PT Erica has done a great job assigning various exercises to heal my torn rotator cuff. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: I have used Advent’s downtown Grand Rapids location for PT on three occasions. The staff is amazing! Professionally competent and friendly. My current therapist, Rachel, takes a personal interest in each client. She works me hard, but reminds me to stop if there is pain. I strongly recommend Advent.

Fantastic experience: The whole staff was great! I always felt cared for and encouraged when I was in there. Even if there was a lot of patients at one time there was always someone checking up on how you were doing. The camaraderie amongst your staff was truly great. You all are an awesome team!

Fantastic experience: Professional and friendly staff. I’d recommend them, I should’ve went months ago my rotator cuff pain would’ve been gone earlier instead of living in pain. I’m a man with few words that I’ll leave at that!

Fantastic experience: I just started going to to Advent to work on some lingering back and hip pain. So far I have completed 3 sessions, combined with a precribed home stretching and excercise regime. I have about 2-3 more weeks of scheduled sessions remaining. So far the back and hip pain has not returned and I believe the stretching and exercises are helping. Lynsey has been great to work with - she listens, clearly describes what we are doing and why, and is very positive and energetic. The rest of the staff appear to be similar in their approach with patients. Overall a good experience so far and I would recommend Advent if you are in need of PT.

Fantastic experience: My left elbow came apart on New Year's Day -_- but Dr. Rachel and Dr. Nick are putting me back together again. It's best to not get injured in the first place of course, but if you do get injured, then 10/10 would recommend going here

Fantastic experience: I'm glad my doctor referred me to Advent. My physical therapist Sara is amazing. She really cares about helping me figure out what's causing my pain and stiffness and how to fix it. I'm really going to miss her when our session ends.

Negative experience: Go to Spectrum, don't bother to go here. I asked multiple times about the balance of visits that my insurance was covering. They said they would check as they scheduled more visits and then they never checked. I told them I'm on a limited budget and did not want to go over the amount. Because of their failure, I went over. They told me not to pay the balance due to their mistake but someone hasn't told the billing department. I am now being harassed by the billing department because what I was told was a means to get me out of the office without an incident. Very dishonest in my book and I hope my doctor's office doesn't send anyone else there or else they may get the same treatment as me.

Fantastic experience: I have received professional care and good interaction with all staff at Advent. While most facial expressions being covered with masks on, I can still see that there are plenty of smiles to be had from everyone. Even though I am in the early stages of therapy, I look forward to my appointments. When asked if Advent "deserved" t stars I can say "NO", they deserve at least 6 stars on a scale of 1-5. No exercise is truly difficult as they adjust the exercise to meet your abilities.

Fantastic experience: The front desk staff are especially friendly and helpful. You can tell they really care and really listen. My therapist, Eileen K, is wonderful. She has additional specialty skills in addition to physical therapy which makes her the perfect person for me to see for all my therapy needs. I know I would have a hard time finding a more friendly, caring, knowledgeable place for treatment. I highly recommend both Advent Physical Therapy, downtown GR location, and Eileen K.

Fantastic experience: When i first started PT for my carpal tunnel, i was in a lot of pain. Well for the last 2 months, it has eased up tremendously. Thanks to Rachel and Nick and the other therapists, they have done a wonderful job. The exercises for my hand has worked this carpal tunnel out. I do believe it's just about gone now, and no surgery. Surgery is not the best option always. I'm glad that i came to Advent Therapy. They do a very professional job here, and the therapists work hard. They all are so pleasant and helpful, the exercises they send home with you are very effective. Thank you Rachel and everyone at Advent Therapy. You do great work !!!

Fantastic experience: I went to Advent PT for a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder area my first appointment was to assess what exercise would work best for my condition the exercises that were chosen worked wonders I went twice a week for a month when I started pain/uncomfortable was at 80% by the end it was at 0!!! The Doctors at Advent are very good their advice worked the atmosphere is very friendly and professional and very humble they don't even want to be called Doctor lol!! I would go again if I have any future issues

Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable and friendly staff. This is my second round of PT, the first was 7 months ago, then 5 months off, then surgery and back to PT. Everyone remembered me and a lot of personal details. It was pretty impressive. The place is clean, comfortable, and parking is easy and free. Hard to find in downtown GR. I hope I don't need them in the future but if I need PT again, Advent is my go to!
