Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan (OAM) is proud to be the most established Orthopaedic practice in West Michigan. Our physicians and staff strive to provide personalized care to patients of all ages. As the most comprehensive independent provider of Musculoskeletal care in the region, we offer a full range of services, from diagnosis to treatment to rehabilitation. As a patient at OAM, you will have access to our specialized surgeons, physical and occupational therapists, pool therapy, onsite and affordable MRI and X-ray services, and orthopaedic bracing, as well as our Bone Health Clinic, OAM Now Urgent Orthopaedic Care Clinic, and Surgery Center at MidTowne. Our teams work together to adjust your treatment quickly and efficiently, leading to a faster recovery. We are dedicated to helping you regain your health and be able to participate in the activities you enjoy at home, work, and play.
In these challenging times, the OAM team and doctors have done their utmost to make sure our patients receive the highest quality care and service. Fantastic experience: Excellent care at OAM with Hilary Frederick, LEAD PT. I had a left total knee replacement last year and a right knee replacement this year. Hilary was my PT both times, per my request, because she has an innate ability to really listen to her clients and helps them heal and get stronger at a pace that is best for each person. I'm forever grateful that Hilary was recommended to me, I'm doing great and will highly recommend the OAM PT team to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I had balance issues so took some PT to try to correct this. I actually got better the first day of PT. They gave me exercises I could do at home and my balance issues are being resolved.

Shelby guided me through that & now after surgery is getting me back to where I need to be. She seems to know just what to do to get all those nerves & muscles doing the right thing again. Fantastic experience: Hilary and Daniel were amazing. You can tell they love their jobs and truly care about their patients. I am fully recovered and almost completely pain free and couldn't be more grateful. OAM was a great choice!
Negative experience: I thought the p/t person was good. However, he kept me waiting in the waiting room almost 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment. He spent the first 5 to 7 minutes asking me a series of questions in the p/t room and there was a patient on either side of me just a foot away so that there was absolutely no privacy.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at OAM physical therapy. I met my therapist who I will be working with when I reach that point following my foot surgery. He was kind and listened to my future needs regarding my therapy.

Fantastic experience: I met with Carina, the physical therapist, on two occasions. She was very professional and demonstrated a thorough understanding of PT options. She put me through a variety of stretching exercises to determine if anything would work to mitigate my back pain. Unfortunately, she concluded that PT would not be a viable option and sent me back to Dr Lee for additional imaging and evaluation. I greatly appreciate how quickly she was able to make that determination as each visit with OAM requires me to make a co-payment of $45. Thanks, Carina.

Fantastic experience: When I first went to OAM, I could hardly raise my arm because of a fall that I had. After physical therapy of around 4 weeks, I was able to have around 80% movement with NO pain. I would recommend OAM to Anyone that wants to get better!!!

Negative experience: Tried all the bending to my knee to understand the problem but increased the pain; and left for the next session after the pain injection to touch base again.. will never recommend

Positive experience: A good experience once I had the physical therapist. Very patient in answering my many questions. I was hoping, however that it could be determined whether my main problem was with my back or sacroiliac joint. My sister (a physical therapist) is wearing a solera belt and am wondering if that would be helpful to me also. May call to ask the question.

Negative experience: I wrote a couple very positive reviews when consulted by the Ortho Doc’s (Henne and Burgess) a couple months back. Now however I have placed three calls in three weeks with them to set up next steps and little or no communication back to me. Lots of “that is somebody’s else’s job and we will have them call you”
