Fantastic experience: I'm late in writing this review, but I really want to thank Jim and Daniel for a job well done in caring for my shoulder injury several months back. I had a pinched nerve from a bulging disc in my neck that was causing incredible pain in my shoulder, and they gave me good therapy and good advice. Great bedside manner!

I’ve witnessed that Owen’s PT puts it all together—they are thoughtful, organized, professional, efficient, and effective. Every member of Owen’s treats their clients from a place of deep humanity—there is no substitute for this when it comes to building trust and a therapeutic alliance. Owen’s has consistently shown exceptional outcomes—many beyond expectations. It doesn’t hurt that they are also a really nice bunch of people who clearly enjoy helping others.

Fantastic experience: The team at Owens Chiropractic is very skilled, and offer hands on therapy to adjust the body and relieve muscle strains and binds, in addition to selectively choosing exercises to improve strength and flexibility. My Physical Therapist, Daniel, is very well trained in manual skills, which I greatly appreciated. . I was a rehab Occupational Therapist, who worked for years with therapy for pain management with children and teens post traumatic injuries, so I was specifically looking for more than the standard approach of exclusively being put on an exercise machine and doing exercise with weights for my whole session. I felt that Daniel understood the need for a balanced approach, which is what my experience showed me is necessary. I highly recommend this Physical Therapy clinic .

Fantastic experience: I would absolutely recommend this place and the therapists! I had a sports related injury for the last three years and have been to other PT to treat this issue and the issue never resolved fully. I got referred to Owen’s PT and Daniel narrowed down the issue, treated it, and put me on track for success. Now I’m playing tennis and running again after being down for so long. One major thing I liked better here than other physical therapist was the one on one attention. Other large physical therapy operations are handling multiple patients at a time with little direction. I was very impressed!

Fantastic experience: The best way i can describe them is via analogy. You are a ship; your getting better is represented by sailing from New York to London. They are fantastic navigators, always making sure you're going in the right direction, working the right muscles. At their office, they will work you out quite well, but they are not the engine; that is you. You will do the exercises there, that you need to continue on your own, at home. You will get better, quicker the harder you are willing to work at getting better.

Fantastic experience: Jim took the time to listen, and pinpointed the problem area in my shoulder. He gave me very specific exercises and in a week the pain was 100% gone. He is very good at his job.

Fantastic experience: I have recently had shoulder surgery and then foot surgery. Melissa and Jim Owens have made the recovery more than doable. I feel like I have my own personal therapists. They truly care about every patient like they're family and their experience is outstanding.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Owens Physical Therapy for a few months now. They were recommended by several of my friends. The facility is clean, bright and easy to find. The staff is welcoming, professional and easy to work with when scheduling appointments or fielding questions that I have. You can tell by the way that Jim and Melissa listen and work with you that they not only know what they are doing but enjoy it as well. I would recommend Owens to anyone and everyone.

Fantastic experience: I had been doing chiropractic care for my back for over 10 years but was always left feeling like that wasn't enough. Last year I threw my back out twice. The first time I did my usual chiropractic visits. When it happened a second time, I knew I needed more. Thankfully, I was referred to Owen's Physical Therapy. Daniel helped me immensely. Everyone's journey will be different but I went from barely able to walk to doing full 30 min at home work outs in 3 months. He was thorough every visit addressing every issue even if it seemed small. Fantastic experience: The best experience for Physical Therapy I've ever had!!! Dan was great at getting pain relieved (hip and low back ) and teaching me home exercises . The pain I had going down my leg was totally relieved allowing me to sleep without pain and take a long awaited trip with a long flight . I highly recommend these wonderful therapists and would definitely go back if needed without hesitation ! Amy at reception is so nice and friendly too !

Fantastic experience: These guys are top of their profession in my book. I have just completed six weeks of physical therapy post rotator cuff surgery. One on one treatment is the norm here, no divided attention between 4 or 5 patients working on their own. Everything is pristine, clean, light and bright, with the latest equipment. I have been to Owens Physiotherapy now on three separate occasions over seven years, and each time have had the same consistency of excellent treatment. If you are looking for personal, committed care, then I have no hesitancy in recommending them for every physiotherapeutic need. Not only that, but every staff member I worked with is warm, friendly, and very focused on healing everyone who walks through their door. It’s a great vibe to be around these people.

Fantastic experience: I was in an accident in January when a man ran a stop sign at 50 mph and hit my semi trailer and jackknifed my rig off the road into a ditch. I had whiplash in my neck and back, very painful. My neighbor recommend Owens to me from his experience, I had tried therapy other places before without much success. So I called and got in right away. Right from the start I got relief and was able to get off the pain pills and muscle relaxers within 2 weeks. It took time coming once or twice a week but I did fully recover. Since I was 74 years old several people, my doctor included, said I would probably have to get used to living with some pain. Fantastic experience: Going to Owens Physical Therapy was life changing for me. I was struggling with the same injury for a year and thought that was how my life was going to be for the next 50 years. I felt that previous doctors and specialists were not giving enough time to listen, and nothing was getting better. My main therapist was Daniel Swanson. He took the time to show me what to do, how to do it, and continued to encourage me as I went through the healing process. Before going I felt very defeated due to allowing an untreated knee injury develop into extreme muscle tightness in both legs. After my first visit I felt better physically and emotionally. Fantastic experience: In one session, James Owen did more to rehabilitate my husband's knee after knee surgery than other therapists accomplished in 5 months. After one therapist said my husband's knee wouldn't respond to more therapy, we nearly lost hope that he would ever be able to resume normal activities. James took a different approach, correctly identifying the issue as muscular. He uses equipment just as a warm-up, then he is completely hands-on to resolve the issues. The progress, although a lost of time has passed since his surgery, has been unbelievable. We are gladly making a three-hour round trip to Owens PT Specialists because James' treatments are worth it! We are confident my husband will be fully rehabilitated.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Owens' PT and their stellar team. I'm a 51 yo old man w/ recurring feet and ankle issues. I went in with both of my feet 'injured' and unable to walk a full stride without severe pain. I used to be very athletic until a few years ago when I began to suffer from debilitating plantar fasciitis along with other foot ailments, on both feet. After a particularly severe flare-up, from not being 18 anymore but skateboarding like I am, I finally decided to seek professional help. Keep in mind, like many people, I've watched countless youtube videos in an attempt to self-care and avoid the hassles of seeing a professional. This time however was different, I was not getting any better after 7 weeks of rest and stretching and it was starting to really get me down. That all changed after seeing Daniel at OPTS. From the first visit Daniel was very positive and encouraging and wow does he know his stuff! Daniel had me doing stretches and exercises I had never seen online and the results were—amazing! I went home and for the next couple of days I did the recommended stretches and exercises. When I went back for my second visit—I could walk with only a fraction of the pain I had when I started. As importantly my anxiety about my future abilities was laid to rest. Now, after two months of PT w/ Daniel and my investment of morning stretches and feet and ankle exercises prescribed by you now who, I'm hiking, skateboarding and starting to run again—all pain-free! Thank you X one million Daniel and Owens' PT. 10/10

Fantastic experience: After listening to me describe my symptoms and history, Jim diagnosed my problem and starting working on correcting the problem. There was immediate improvement and after a few weeks it's 90% better following his and Daniel's guidance. I am confident I'll be back at or near 100% if I keep up the recommended activities. Fantastic experience: Jim, Katie, and Melissa helped bring me back to full mobility after shoulder surgery to repair a tear in 2018. I recently (September 2019) had need to contact them again after severe lower back pain. Again, they knew exactly what needed attention. They provided me with some exercises to work on at home, and were able to hit "just the right spots" during PT sessions to relieve the tension and stress and let my muscles relax. I would highly recommend this PT office and should I need their help again, I will definitely be calling them!

Fantastic experience: I was given a very strong recommendation to use Owens following a full knee replacement from my wife's friend who had the same surgery. Having become a veteran of orthopedic surgeries with a back fusion and hip replacement I have had lots of experiences with physical therapy specialists prior to surgery and post surgery, and for the most part they were good and we got the job done. However working with the Owens staff was extraordinary. They not only keep your long term goal in mind but each visit spends considerable time and effort on my short term personal issues of dealing with this major surgery. For me the knee replacement was the most challenging from a pain perspective but Kari, Jim and Melissa provided the most personal and focused help throughout our weeks of therapy. My time was always primarily focused on me and not several other patients. The care, concern and focused treatments to move me along served me well. I would highly recommend Owens Physical Therapy Specialists.

Fantastic experience: After injuring myself during hockey, my doctor said I should do physical therapy, when I asked for ideas of where would be good she recommended Owens physical therapy. I was welcomed and every one of the staff was super friendly, helpful, answered every question I had (which was a lot because I was trying to understand what I had done to myself), and they worked with me the entire time. If ever I need physical therapy again I will use Owens.

Fantastic experience: Jim and Melissa have done an amazing job keeping me healthy and moving! When I started running marathons and further, I fell into a lot of rookie training mistakes and was going through recurring injuries. Jim & Melissa took the time to find the root cause of my injuries, treat them, and most importantly, teach me how to prevent future injuries. Fast forward a few years and I have completed 10 ultra marathons of 100 miles or longer and have been able to avoid a major injury for over three straight years. On top of keeping my body functioning through the amount of miles I put it through, everyone at OPTS are genuinely friendly and helpful people that make going through physical therapy as easy as possible. Go to OPTS if you want the staff to learn about what you want to achieve, learn how to avoid coming back for ongoing problems, and be treated like a VIP - can't recommend them enough.

As a major skeptic, I didn't believe that they could help me. I feel like they saved my life and gave me lifelong exercises to help build up muscles and the source of my pain. Fantastic experience: After breaking my elbow I became very pessimistic about how much mobility and strength I would get back. The PT's at Owen's were very positive and only provided helpful exercises and stretches to get me back to where I was. I told them on my first day I wanted to golf by summer, and I plan on doing a lot of golfing.

Fantastic experience: Very good at figuring out your body mechanics and getting to the root of WHY you hurt, and then pinpointing exercises to rehab. Pay attention to your posture, and do the homework he gives you.

Fantastic experience: Go here! I couldn't have been happier with my experience at Owens Physical Therapy. I have had three knee surgeries over the last ten years and have seen multiple physical therapists over that time. Owens stands out as the best experience by far. Here is why: -Its a small office where you get one on one support. You are 1 on 1 with a PT, you are not handed off to an assistant, you are not treated like a number, you are valued and talked to like a human being. I have never had this experience at other PT offices. Owens PT excelles at customer service. -When you are working with professionals this closely, you get better care. They are able to notice subtle barriers to your recovery and correct them. They are there to answer questions the entire time and educate you on how to take care of yourself. They can take the time to help you understand the complexity of recovey and how best to get back to living your life. -Every person that works there is kind and welcoming. They all seemed to be genuinly interested in my life and would strike up conversations that would last the entire session. On days where waking up at 7 am and working out a painful knee was the last thing I wanted to do, this dynamic was a motivating factor for showing up and working hard. -They care and advocate for you. My insurance didn't give me all the sessions I needed. They sent letters to my insurance and instructed me on how to call my insurance provider and advocate for myself. In a time of automated systems, doctors trying to move patients in an out as fast as possible, and large corporate hospital systems that can leave you feeling overlooked and under served, Owens stands out because it is the opposite of that. If you are in need of PT services, check this place out. It felt like I was visiting friends twice a week. I believe my recovery was quicker than it would have been if I had gone somewhere else where I wasn't paid attention to.

Fantastic experience: This team knows there stuff! After continued frustration with other therapists, two of which suggested surgery, I was referred to Mr. Owens by a close friend. I hesitantly made an appointment and was shocked at how soon I was able to be seen. After a very thorough examination, Mr. Owens treated me and solved the mystery of my injured shoulder in a single visit!!! No surgery!!! Fantastic experience: Great office, good team, flexible hours. Had 2 torn knee ligaments that doc said needed surgery. I started day 2 of my injury with Jim and his team and 2 months later doc and I agreed that we’d hold off on surgery and let Jim & Katie do what they do best and that was get me hiking in the snow and attending 4 day music festivals in three months with no pain and lots of stability! Katie was my primary PT and she really pushed me and held me accountable to the at home stuff and how important that was to recovery.long story short they got me back on my feet without surgery!!

I worked primarily with one therapist and saw other patients work with their primary therapist. This allowed patients to develop good working relationships over time with their therapist. Fantastic experience: Katie saved me. She single handedly pulled the thorn from the lion's paw. After going through a terrible experience with a local chiropractor trying to sell me snake oil, I relented and listened to my wife who had told me to go see a Physical Therapist. What a difference it made. To my friends I describe the difference between a Physical Therapist and a chiropractor as the difference between science and witch craft. Both may be rooted in science, but one hides the science in an attempt to make it seem like a black art. It took Katie little time to diagnose the root cause and determine a course of treatment. She explained what had happened to my back and why and what treatment she recommended. No popping, cracking or strange appliances drilling my back. After having struggled for more that 6 weeks with constant pain, I walked out of their office pain free on the first day! Katie also warned me that the pain would return as it would take time for my body strengthen and re-learn how to keep my back in place again. She was right, but with each visit I was without pain longer until I no longer needed to return and could maintain things with the exercises she gave me to do at home. I highly recommend Owens Physical Therapy. At first I thought their location was a little bit off the beaten path, but it turns out it was very convenient to get to. Basically, 96 & the Beltline and getting their from work was a breeze. I know everyone's experience is different, but I'm really thankful for Katie and all the great people and Owen's Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: Jim and Melissa have treated me three times in the last several years for neck pain resulting from computer work with poor posture and knee pain associated with injuries. They advertise personal/individual treatment and that is truly the case. They stay with their clients as clients receive treatment, insuring correctness and to note improvements. After the exercises massage and relaxation with heat to the effected area are offered to conclude the visit. Home exercise is expected with directions provided on paper including verbal descriptions and diagrams of the exercises. I have heard stories from friends about other courses of physical therapy that sound more like an assembly line, where clients are moved from therapist to therapist with apparently no knowledge of the individual's particular needs by any of the therapists. Owens' staff is always attentive. This personal treatment and attention to individual needs produces quick and lasting results. I highly recommend Owens Physical Therapy for a cordial, professional approach to physical therapy.
