Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! They really care about helping you as an individual! I met Ian after a road race with some hip pain. He was able to give an assessment and plan of action. More so though, he was able to explain at a level that I could understand the root of the problem. With the exercises, stretches, and recovery tools he provided, I was quickly on my way back to running. Added bonus: after “graduation”, he provided me with the knowledge and skills to continue to stay healthy. Ian was only one of the great staff members I met and was able to work with it. Everyone there was genuine, kind, and a pleasure to work with.

Fantastic experience: Going into Physical Therapy for the first time, I didn't really know what to expect. I was genuinely nervous, and scared it was going to hurt a lot. I was QUICKLY relieved to learn otherwise! This was one of the BEST groups of medical professionals I have ever been under the care of! Every last person I interacted with at this location is AMAZING! Dr. Hutten has HANDS DOWN one of the best personalities ever, and she makes it FUN to be in PT! I had so much fun, and learned so much about my body at the same time! I would HIGHLY recommend the location on Kalamazoo (in front of Celebration Cinema)!!! This team is AMAZING! EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. It's bitter sweet to be done with my PT now! I'll miss seeing them all regularly!

Melissa saved my career and livelihood. The clinic was like a big family with patients and staff. Forever grateful!!! I'm back to work and doing great. And pain free.

Fantastic experience: I visited this location regularly for roughly four months. For the majority of that time period, I was going twice a week. Melissa and Beca were awesome to work with. Despite the pain I was in, I was not excited about going to physical therapy. I DO NOT like exercising in front of people and frankly, I'm not much for socializing with people I don't know. (I also didn't think it would work!) Luckily, Melissa and Beca are really great people and made me feel comfortable. My appointments flew by thanks to their good conversation and of course, my pain went away too. Melissa and Beca were just as happy as I was each time my scores improved and I really appreciated that. I will genuinely miss working with these two ladies and HIGHLY recommend you see them!

Fantastic experience: Mellisa and Becca are two amazing lady’s that run the athletico Kentwood clinic. I was assigned as one of their patients early 2020 I was a post opt, 4 back surgeries in 6 weeks patient that was scarred to death to start therapy in fear id re injure myself in this rigures therapy called work hardening. I was a firemen injured on the job. Mellisa built a circuit work out that was solely based on my occupation. I did therapy 3 days a week, 5 hours a day. Each week got a little more intense and she would set goals for me to achieve. I did a 6 months of this therapy before I was released by my surgeon. These lady’s went above and beyond for me to complete my weekly goals and always pushed me to my very end. When I was sore and had rough weeks Mellissa would teach me new stretches and reset my joints. She always had my best interest when I was in her clinic A year latter I’m no longer able to be a firemen due to the extent of my injury however I am working a full time very physical job that no one thought would happen including my back surgeon. I’ll be forever great full to the Kentwood athletico clinic for getting Me to where I am today. I could never have done it without their persistence and encouragement through my treatment.

Fantastic experience: Words can not express how my family has been positively impacted by coming here almost a year ago (they are current patients). My boys (now 5 & 3) were both born with club feet and require PR. They have seen other PTs in the past but with no results. We are in the clinic at least 3 times a week. They have made it fun my kids to be there and change the plan to fit their moods. The physical therapist have become one of our advocates and played a major part my boys increase in motion. I would recommend this location to ANYONE who is looking for physical therapist who doesn’t treat you as another number. But someone who will really take the time to get to know what you need, how you’re doing, and the create best plan of action.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend the Kentwood Athletico facility to anyone. After my referral for PT from my doctor, I was scheduled for my consultation with Melissa the following morning— less than 24 hrs to get in! So helpful. It was always easy for me to schedule appointments over the lunch hour. Melissa and Becca are so friendly, and evidently care for their patients and know how to make it fun.

Fantastic experience: Definitely would recommend Kentwood Athletico! I liked that although I was there for a specific issue, Melissa evaluated other areas that may be contributing and explained the anatomy behind it in a way that was very easy to understand. The education that Melissa provides was wonderful as it was not just about the exercises during the session, but how to continue healing during daily activities. Both Melissa and Becca (and pretty much every other client that was there at the same time I was) created a friendly, encouraging, and fun environment.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff, great environment to work hard and recover! Dave kicked my butt today, however I feel safe knowing it’s part of my healing process. Dave also answers all my questions with detail, something I appreciate because I want to understand how to prevent these issues in the future. Finally, their hours are super convenient which makes my healing process a whole lot easier. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Athletico (Kentwood) for close to 5 months. I was severely injured at work to an area that had previous trauma. I am a difficult patient to get back to 100% but I never saw a staff work so hard to give me every opportunity to try an figure out how I can recover from my injury. They transformed me from a pretty decent in shape person to a top conditioned in the best shape of my life person. They made me feel comfortable and were always watching to make sure I was performing with the best technique and pain free. The communication is top notch, always offering advice and making your worries lessen. I highly recommend if you have any injury, old, new, nagging to just get into Athletico and meet the Dr and have a free eval done. They will provide you with a game plan to get you pain free and that’s what we all want. It feels like family there and you will get treated to get yourself better! Thanks for all the hard work you put into my injury and I will recommend you to anyone I know that needs PT!

I was recovering from an invasive hip surgery, they were so understanding of my physical limits. I am surging multiple chronic illnesses and the staff was also so understanding with my limitations and hectic schedule.

I received successful treatment for BPPV which included hands on treatment, demonstrated home exercises, information, and loads of encouragement. Fantastic experience: My son suffered a concussion. After five days of a headache I felt anxious about his health. I made an appointment with Scott Snyder. He did a thorough and FREE evaluation. Scott was kind, thorough, and took the time to write a progression chart to get my son back in school and playing sports. His plan is safe and will help my son and minimize the symptoms from his concussion. I would highly recommend Scott and Athletico. It is a relief to have a facility in Cascade where a PT specializes in concussions. I highly recommend this company and therapist.

Fantastic experience: I have had an amazing experience at this particular location. Melissa is AMAZING! I live out of the way and actually had an Athelico right around the corner from my house but I needed to be seen for McKenzie Therapy and Melissa specializes in that. I did not want to make that drive but after going and not being able to bend, she made it all possible for me to get right back into shape and be able to get back into gym. The cleanliness of this facility was always spotless. The friendliness made me feel even more comfortable, which made it even more easy to come back. I highly reccomend anyone to go to this facility to be taken care just as great as I was. If I ever need be seen again I will go back to see Melissa because the service was very high to my expectations.

Fantastic experience: It has been a little over year since my first visit and I have since been discharged. A big thanks to Becca and Tarah for their commitment to my rehabilitation and making me feel welcomed. There is a reason this location and many other ones have a 5/5 rating and if I could I would give them a 6/5 because odd numbers are stupid and they are just that good.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for a while now for treatment of my knee following surgery. The customer service is great, the employees are all really friendly and helpful. My physical therapist is very knowledgeable and professional. I really like that they go to my appointments with the surgeon so we can discuss my therapy as a team in order for me to return to soccer. Would highly recommend going to physical therapy here! It’s been a great experience so far!

Fantastic experience: i can't thank my athletico team enough for they got me to my goal of being able to play and chase my very active 2 year old grandson. i was able to swing, go down slides, play hide and seek and go into a bouncy house with confidence. we even enjoyed Mega Play which was filled with different bouncy things. my grandson even tried to beat me going up the slide, waiting till i got there, then sliding down before me giggling the whole time. a bonus of the bouncy house was that it cured my vertigo. yay!!! thanks again. i am forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Melissa, Becca and Sam was outstanding. I was quite apprehensive about having to have physical therapy following 13 months of recovery from heart surgery. Due to the surgery I was unable to move my arms to do every day tasks. I did not feel confident that physical therapy would help improve the mobility of my arms. I walked into Athletico not being able to perform the simplest every day tasks, including dressing myself, and walked out 8 weeks later not only being able to dress myself but I am able to clean my home and drive and do most everything I could do before my surgery. Can't tell you how happy I am that I went to Athletico. I would recommend this team to family and friends and anyone needing physical therapy. With their help, encouragement and support I am now able to enjoy my life again. Thanks guys!

Throughout my 4 months of treatment Tara, as well as Micaela, would be attentive to my progress, answer any questions and would take the time to to go over any details. I had surgery back in April and since then I have transitioned from post-operation physical therapy to their work conditioning program. Not only do they listen to me on what i need to be able to do to get back to work but they also want to get to know you on a personal level. Fantastic experience: I started physical therapy at Athletico in Kentwood after an injury I had at work. I am going through the work conditioning program, which is a 4-5 hour program multiple times per week where they simulate things that I do at work in the clinic while I am off work. Not only am I gaining my confidence to go back to work after my injury but am getting better as well. The staff at Athletico Kentwood has made the healing process much more enjoyable than I originally thought a 4-5 hour appointment would be. Thank you to the staff that has given me lots of laughs in a time where I was pretty down for not being able to go to work.

Fantastic experience: I went to physical therapy for about 8 months for a torn acl and meniscus. I went to 3 different places throughout my rehab and I wish I had been referred to Athletico from the very beginning. Melissa was so knowledgeable with what I needed to work more on before returning to sports. It was refreshing to have a physical therapist that’s was encouraging as well. If you are looking for a place to start or continue physical therapy, look no farther.

As a former manager of a functional rehabilitation facility for chronic musculoskeletal disorders and a healthcare executive for over 30 years and now faculty for a College of Human Medicine. I have been able to discern what is high quality care and service, and with the upmost confidence I can say that is what you will receive at the Athletico in Kentwood. Melissa and Bridget have created an efficient, educational and most of all caring environment for the patients they serve. Being an educated and informed patient is key to recovery and that is how you feel interacting with their team. Anyone who is looking to be empowered to increase or maintain their physical function and ability, should schedule an evaluation with this team. You will be very happy that you did.
