My sister and I would like to express our sincere appreciation for the kindness and services that your community provided for our mom. From the time in her apartment in Assisted Living to her final days in Memory Care, every staff member she and we came into contact with was professional with a bonus of loving, warmth, and caring. We cannot say enough good things about the help we received from your staff. Your guidance was so appreciated and your compassionate empathy and genuine thoughtfulness made every step easier for us. Our thanks to the Skilled Nursing staff who gave my mom so much attention and took such good care of her. We are ever grateful for the care and understanding that was shown by everyone. It will be easy to recommend your community to any who require those services.

Regency Gresham: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Staff efficient and friendly, Therapists great, helpful and patient. Meals are well prepared, delicious, and arrived hot. My stay here has been very pleasant. I highly recommend, if you need a rehab facility, you consider Regency Gresham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Keith Dooley
Negative experience: This place is supposed to be a five star place I feel that they are not even a one star they have in one in a half months taken and lost a pair of hearing aids and I have ask them them what they are going to do about that cost us four thousand dallied the manager or the boss said they would not do anything about them they will not replace them or or reimburse us for them I feel that they owe us the cost to replace them my mom walked over 60 feet the day after hip surgery now they are supposed to help her all she does now is sit in a wheelchair no improvement at all I do not know what to do but get her out of the place I told the man I talked to day that I am expecting to hear from him today but that didn’t happen so he needs to call me tomorrow or I am hiring a attorney to go after them for the hearing aids
Positive experience: Wonderful care. My 75 year old mother fell and did alot of damage to herself. We were coming to terms with the fact that she may never come home from the hospital. We moved her to Regency Gresham and the care she received was from Jesus working through the staff my mom is able to come home. There is always going to be little issues to work out but we never had a problem getting them addressed. The administration was Johnny on the spot. If mom or myself ever needs this kind of care again, we will be looking to Regency Gresham.
Fantastic experience: My mom was their took real good care of her
Negative experience: My sister was sent here after she broke her bone that goes to her knee. She was only there for a few days before her surgery. She called me several times crying and asked me to help her get out of there. I called to talk to someone about her care no one answered the phone the first time I called so I left a message. No call back. I called again, it took about 45 minutes to finally talk to her nurse who was rude and didn't seem to realy care what I had to say or about my sister's situation. He ended the call by saying if that's all you are calling about I have to go. Not professional. They didn't give her her pain medication for 12 hours and was moving her around like nothing was wrong. Not helpful for getting her up to use the restroom. She said that the food was not good and wasn't offered anything to drink Just be careful of your choices. I don't live in Oregon so I am trying to help her get through this process long distance. It's hard not being right there Very Sad!!!!
Positive experience: The most important thing to know about this facility is the nurses, CNA's, and other staff are top notch. They truly love and care about the residents and to me, this is the most important thing about a facility like this. The couple of things they could do better: The food leaves a lot to be desired. The facility is also very loud, staff yelling down the hall to one another, often regarding personal patient information. Doordash and ear plugs came in real handy! Even with the few negatives (no place will be perfect) I would recommend this place in a heartbeat, especially for the level of care I received. Also, the PT and OT staff are absolutely wonderful and hard working folks, they helped me more than words can say. I'm honestly so grateful for the wonderful care I got at Regency and the staff will always hold a special place in my heart. You or your family member will be loved and taken care of there.
Negative experience: provider to provider HORRIBLE service. trying to get info only to be yelled at by their staff & told that “she’s to busy” to look up a patient. gross. shut down. lawsuit.
Negative experience: *update* although some of the nursing staff are decent, the administration is terrible. They discharged my mom when she couldn't even walk and relied on me to help her up the stairs to the condo but I could not do it by myself. If it wasnt for the taxi driver and the neighbor we never would have made it up.All the administrators did was ask if I wanted to pay more than two hundred dollars a day and order a taxi for my mom. They only gave her a cane when in fact she needed a wheelchair and walker at the time of discharge. My mom said they did not give her her all if her medications as well.
Positive experience: My 95- year old Mother had about 4-6 weeks re-hab at this facility back in April of this year. She enjoyed it here, only complaint was her food was cool-COLD most of the time, we mentioned it and we were told because she was at end of the hall that this being the reason why, unfortunately she would receive warmer food and than back to the cold food soon after. She did good at this facility and we are hoping she will return there this week. When she was discharged back in April she continued with in-home therapy. In our location there really isn't any 4-5 * rehab facilities so we have what we have. She had another fall last week which will put her back into therapy and hopefully into this facility. She wants to walk and get stronger, this is really the mindset one hopes for coming from the patient We live within 5- minutes so I'm able to be there more often. Doesn't hurt me to do some therapy, I've been there done that more than once. So .... Please before writing negative feedback think about what you want to write down and perhaps your story will be a positive one. PAY close attention and if you see something that needs to be addressed than be sure to address it at that time. These folks that work there showed me they were attentive and they are busy. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO YOUR LOVED ONE, be there as much as possible - get involved in their therapy., and say something if your questioning anything - we are not perfect and while some of you may not like what I'm saying it's my story and it's the way I feel and it's true. I feel my mother's stay here was a success. Work with your loved one DAILY be active in their therapy and wishing all of us a successful rehabilitation. Thank you Regency for all you do. GOOD DAY !!!!!
Fantastic experience: Regency cared for my mother for 8 weeks. She had fallen and had surgery on her femur which required her to be non weight bearing for 2 months. The staff at Regency took amazing care of Mom including the best physical therapy specialists she could have had. They were kind, patient, and understanding while encouraging my Mom to work as well as she could to improve strength in her arms and the uninjured leg. The nursing staff was so very caring. Her daily needs were always met with smiles and kind words. The management staff were helpful in all aspects of Mom's care. They answered my many questions and were always so kind. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing rehab or long term care. Thank you Regency Gresham for helping my mother return home.
Positive experience: This not the first time that I have been here I was here in 2016 because I had half foot apmtated and now the reason that I came back is because I had right foot apmtated below the knee I love this place.but no bus runs here
Fantastic experience: Great place and great food! They make you feel at home. Everyone was so nice to me and I had a big nice room. I would recommend it and hopefully I'll go back soon since I broke my ankles in 3 bones. Had plates put in on both sides and had some wiring and screws put in.
Negative experience: Some of the nastiest, most incompetent staff I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. The staff dont understand simple questions, they will transfer you multiple times then hang up. They will call you back with no idea what they're calling about and then get mad at you for needing information to assist them.
Negative experience: This place is horrible. They fail to provide adequate care. My grandma soiled herself and multiple times sat for an hour or more waiting for someone to come and clean her up. They did not provide the rehab she needed nor did they monitor her. She ended up with severe poisoning and NO ONE at this place seemed concerned nor did they call an ambulance. When our family arrived to come get her they could tell she was in severe distress. She was hospitalized and unfortunately passed away a week after being admitted. I would avoid this place at all costs and we will be reporting them to the health department.
Negative experience: Had vascular surgery in September to restore blood flow to foot. Chose Regency Gresham for recovery because I was told they had a good rep for rehab. While there, wounds became infected, and Achilles tendon was ruptured during therapy with someone who seemed unaware which foot was the injured one. 3 of 4 therapists I worked with there started therapy, and then asked me later what was the nature of the injury. The resulting cleanup of the infection, and loss of the tendon, has kept be in another skilled nursing facility (closer to doctors and a fresh start) ever since, and means I will be using a walker and ankle brace the rest of my life. When I asked for my personal items and clothes to be sent to the new facility, they never arrived. I cannot prove that their actions/inaction have created my current medical problems, but knowing what I now know, I never would have gone there. Just a slight addition two weeks later. No response from Regency, but then, no response to any of the other reviews, either. They just don't care...
Fantastic experience: A great place to volunteer for. Residents and staff are very appreciative .
Negative experience: Terrible place, avoid if at all necessary. The nursing staff won't provide information and roll their eyes when asking simple questions about my step father. Absolutely the most unprofessional staff I've had the displeasure of dealing with.
Fantastic experience: I’m a current employee and I love this place. The people here are really sweet and understand. Wonderful HR, administration and staffing.
Fantastic experience: Great community, hard working staff and just overall a great place to work. When I walk through the doors it’s a friendly environment and feeling throughout the community.
Negative experience: Not really sure why it is so difficult to get my mom to the doctor. She has missed 4 appointments now to see if she can walk.
Fantastic experience: Regency Gresham is my second experience with a skilled nursing facility for my dad, and I could not be happier with the care they are providing to him... or to me. Both facilities had a hardworking nursing, LNA and therapy staff who worked hard to keep Dad clean, comfortable, and to help him regain strength and learn new ways performing "activities of daily living." But that is where the similarity ends. The staff at Regency has shown care, compassion, and empathy in 1000 little ways since dad was admitted just 2 weeks ago. They've taken time to get to know Dad and understand his needs - and are proactive about doing so. I've yet to encounter a single employee who is "just having a bad day." Instead, everyone seems happy to be working here - and it shows in their communication with families and the care they provide to their patients. I am incredibly relieved we found this place, and that my Dad is in such good, caring hands. But most importantly: Dad feels that way, too. Updated: Dad has been here throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and Regency is now his long-term care residence. They have gone above and beyond to keep us informed throughout this very difficult time, and to keep the residents safe. Communication has been more challenging since in person visits were interrupted, but, they are truly doing incredible work here and our entire family - dad included - is very grateful for their efforts. My dad has spent a lot of time in, and also trying to avoid, medical treatment. He can't wait to have family visits again and a little more freedom to come and go. It's probably not easy to live in a residential care environment when you are an independent-minded senior who has spent a lifetime working around physical limitations - long term care was the last thing Dad wanted to accept. But he has come around. he is genuinely happy, here. That's pretty incredible, and it's all because of this amazing staff. Update 2: It's been 3 years, 9 months since dad first arrived at Regency Gresham and we continue to be grateful for this place nd it's incedible staff. Early on, the head of nursing told me she only hires staff who are clearly in health care because they care about people - and it shows. (As for the negative reviews... all I can think of is, themust be thinking of some place else).
Negative experience: My mother is currently in this facility and has been improperly cared for and, was left for 4 hours in her urine. This is after having surgery. These skilled nurses also forgot to give my mother her medication. It was 8 hours or more my mom waited for pain meds. This is after having surgery on her neck. My mom wants out of there. To add insult to injury, their social worker got into a screaming match with my sister and then one of the woman's co workers, who was listening in (it was a meeting (on an intercom) decided to chime in on behalf of her coworker, "the social worker". They apparently had my sister so upset she hung up so she could contact my mom's surgeon. "They refused my mom her meds if she left the facility." Now I'm told the surgeon is on call by my sis, and she was told by the manager at the surgeons office he was on call but she can't reach him. What kind of sick and crazy operation are these people running? They do not have the professional environment needed for these kinds of needs. I found this place to be a nightmare. I will admit my mom can be a handful with her independence at times but how do you forget to clean her up and give her meds??? After she had SURGERY!!! Then you start screaming at your patience family because they hold you accountable??? Oh and thats not the topper then your co worker backs you up??? Folks we now live in a world where you have to always be watching everyone and everything all of the time. Don't let your guard down because when you do, someone will take advantage and hurt you and your loved ones. And these people will feel nothing. They will be held accountable. And there are kinder people out there. YOU JUST WONT FIND THEM HERE AT REGENCY GRESHAM. I WANT MY MOTHER OUT OF THERE AND WITH OUT THE THREATS OF TAKING HER MEDICATION FROM HER. THESEFOLKS GET A ZERO NO STARS IF ITS UP TO ME BUT I NOTICE HOW THIS PROGRAM DOES NOT GIVE THAT OPTION. do not bring your LOVED ONES to this place, they will not be loved and neither will you. Take care friends with you beloved family members.
Fantastic experience: I am really thankful for Regency Gresham. They helped me out. I want to thank all staff members. I would recommend this place to anybody that needs help. Good wound care, very good therapy, and tender loving care.
Positive experience: Very good nursing staff. Many have worked here 9 to 30 years which I find impressive. Nice staff too. Good PT and OT. Great gym to use. They want us to improve. It’s up to us to do the work. I just wish their food was better. It is better than OHSU’s by a long shot. But it could be a good deal better. At least they are close enough to Gresham food to order by grub hub.
Fantastic experience: What a wonderful facility!!! My dad was there for 20 days and received the best of care. He is 85 and was really suffering in so many ways. He left a changed man. The staff and management are very excellent and detailed in their desire to see all their clients succeed. Thank you Thank you Thank you Regency Gresham!!!!!
Negative experience: This place deserves no stars. Very bad place to have your loved ones. Had to give one star to post or would not give any stars. The food sucks. You could starve to death in that place and your loved ones are left in bed all day or strapped in a wheel chair in the hall way for hours. I would not let my pet stay there.
Negative experience: If I could pick zero stars I would this is the most horrible place I've ever felt with I don't think my dog would even eat the garbage they try to serve I can't wait to get my father out of there asap the management is horrible they are under staffed always and sometimes it takes hours to get his call light answered. I also heard charge nurse being rude as hell to dad not knowing i was standing in hallway
Positive experience: So they are ok but they lost a few of my father in laws items but other they seem ok
Fantastic experience: My mom's lived in this nursing home for almost 19 years... At first I thought it wasn't the best but I can say that I wasn't too sure... They have made lots of changes... Plus they are in the process of remodeling the 2nd floor but the main floor looks great... I think that they've made alot of good changes !!! Keep up the good work !!!
Fantastic experience: Regency Gresham is a phenomenal Skilled Nursing Facility!! It has recently been fully remodeled, and has been brought up to such high standards of living. I would feel so confident and at ease sending one of my loved ones here. The staff here are not only competent, but they are also equipped with sincere compassion and empathy for those they are caring for. I love how well managed this facility is, there are always great lines of communication between the staff, Patients, as well as family members. Another positive at Regency Gresham is the amazing food and activities that are offered to the Residents. I hate to think of care in terms of money, but this facility is well worth every penny that is spent. I wouldn't send my loved one anywhere but Regency Gresham!!
Negative experience: This place is the worst place. My mother in law is stranded in her room with no call light. And my husband and I have been calling iver and over an no one is answering the phone and it won't even go to a voicemail. I'm so glad she is moving soon. She has been so depressed and has been neglected for years. This place needs to get shut down.
Fantastic experience: Let me tell you a story. This is a story of trying four different skilled nursing homes before finally finding one that I felt would treat my wife with the dignity she deserved while passing away. And that place was Regency Gresham.
Fantastic experience: I have worked at Regency Gresham for two and a half years and I feel obligated to write a review of the place, seeing that, beyond belief, it has three negative reviews! This is an AMAZING place for care. I come from working with people with disabilities, and was TERRIFIED to go to work for a for-profit company. I was afraid the "heart" would be replaced by corporate greed. In all honesty, I planned on staying six months, then moving on. Instead, I have been here for two and a half years. Why? Because this place has more heart than anywhere I have ever worked. I have seen incredible recoveries here—patients who have come unable to feed themselves have ended up going home walking on their own two feet, living independently. This is because the staff here, therapy and nursing alike, refuses to give up on ANYONE. And they do so while enduring incredible hardship and sometimes physical and emotional abuse from families and residents. I have seen nurses sit for hours with patients who are screaming because they are hearing voices in their head telling them to hurt themselves. I have seen CNAs bring in home-baked food (all healthy, of course!) for residents who were having trouble eating what the FSA approves for our menu. I have seen our director fight with doctors and insurance companies to continue to provide medication and support to patients who have NOTHING. I myself have held hospice patient's hands as they passed away, because their family members couldn't be bothered to take off work to watch their dad pass. Yet, for all this hardship, Regency remains a place of hope, where patients find care and comfort, and where families are given the time and attention they need to get them through this very difficult transition. We have a 95% success ratio in returning patients to their homes. I am proud to work here.
Negative experience: My husband was placed there for rehab after back surgery and I was called by the care manager Jonathan. We talked about a few things and I had questions. Jonathan said he would get back to me but never heard from again! Wow. Nothing. Also, my husband said there were deplorable things that greatly disturbed him; one woman "recovering" there temporarily was ignored for hours forced to sit in her own feces until someone working there decided to help her!! Everyone on the wing knew she was on trouble and my husband wanted to go help this poor woman.
Negative experience: This place stinks like piss. They don’t even take care of the people living in this care home. Walking dead
Negative experience: Smelled like urine. Had big fans running but no fresh intake or exhaust. Just nasty recirculation. My uncle's room looks like it hasn't been detailed (swept, mopped etc.) in many many years.
