NARA Administration, Child & Family Services: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I love Nara. Aho
Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at NARA since April 2022 and they have genuinely saved my life. They have helped with my drug and alcohol addiction and also gave me a safe space to be in during my recovery outpatient. Specifically Tiffany has been an angel and I see her like family. Also Ashley who has helped me with my abusive household and is in the ER with me helping me get help when neither of my parents ever would. <3
Negative experience: Good luck getting your medical records in any kind of decent timeline. They could care less if you need them expedited. They rarely answer the phone no one has any information for you about anything ever so be prepared to be frustrated have to call multiple times. Also you’ll likely have to sign the same forms over and over and over be confused and not get your medical records for months on end. I cannot wait to pay for decent health care. A disgrace to Native Americans.
Negative experience: Shattered. I know there aren’t many options for adolescent substance abuse in Oregon, but this place will actually make things worse due to poor training and unethical behavior from service providers. Tiffany Wolleat took no case history for my son at any point. She never spoke to me even though the assessment took place on my cell phone- despite the process described to me by the intake coordinator: a conversation with me, then a conversation with me and my son, and finally a conversation with just my son. Tiffany only ever spoke to my son. The process described did not actually happen. This assessment was done via tele-practice and only lasted 45 minutes instead of the 2 hours we were told to expect. I doubt anyone could follow the protocol that was described to me in that amount of time. She refused to talk with me after I finally got a hold of her long after the assessment was completed. Tiffany Wolleat needlessly caused another trauma for us and more emotional damage to a family already in crisis. She violated several sections of her professional code of ethics and should not be allowed to continue service provision until she seeks more in-depth training and education to eliminate her reactionary and apathetic behavior. A heartbreaking shame in a time when we are all in such dire need of good care.
Negative experience: they are good peopele but not
Negative experience: The residential treatment staff we're helpful when i applied. Yet, when I arrived I realized it was not going to be successful for me. Residents were not following rules, with poor attitudes. Many were not mentally or spiritually wanting to quit using, and not engaged Several were there just to satisfy their court conditions. There were crowded rooms. I left early. They need more funding to make improvements with their treatment strategies and living areas.
Fantastic experience: We got to the Gresham location this morning and the lady at the front desk was so sweet and helpful. Thank you for helping us figure out what to do.
