Negative experience: This is a bad facility they let patients die and the nurses be overdose in patients because I have family members that died in this location bad nursing facility

Fantastic experience: My 87 year old mom spent 3 weeks at Northampton and for rehab (broken femur and wrist). She received great care while there. All staff was very nice and the therapy department was very helpful. If needed, I wouldn't hesitate to have her stay there again. It was a very positive experience for our family.

Fantastic experience: My mother has been recovering here at Northampton Nursing & Rehab since June 2024. She is now residing there in an assisted living capacity. I absolutely LOVE the people at Northampton! Charlene, Mia, gals at the reception desk, and all the other nursing/health staff that I cannot name are wonderful. Everyone has been supportive, knowledgeable, and a delight to work with. And my mom is not easy! They have kept me informed of mom’s progress and next steps in her health plan. The building is an older building, but kudo’s to the maintenance folks because it is clean and well maintained. If your loved one is ready for assisted living or needs a rehabilitation place – consider Northampton. I don’t think you will find a better place for your needs.

Fantastic experience: I received excellent nursing and physical and occupational care at Northampton. I stayed for 38 days and was made to feel safe and at home. The food wasn't too bad either, lol. Thank you Northampton for an awesome journey in my recovery!

Fantastic experience: My 20 day rehab stay was very beneficial. Every nurse, aid, therapist and all staff were helpful, kind and friendly. I will highly recommend North Hampton. My love and extreme thanks to all staff, especially Wythe wing ladies and Nancy and crew in therapy room.

Fantastic experience: My husband's stay at Northampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (NN&R) far exceeded what we expected. He was discharged from the hospital unable to stand or walk. It was frightening and confusing for us as a family. Then having to go into a facility where he'd be at the mercy of strangers only added to his frustration, uneasiness and pending challenges. However, from Day 1, the ENTIRE STAFF at NN&R made him feel so comfortable that he was able to face his medical challenges with confidence and determination. I would love to give Special Shout-outs to several staffers who Really seemed to have gone above beyond the norm to assist him but Honestly I would have to name EVERYONE he came in contact with during his stay. Fantastic experience: My wife and I went to Northampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, (NNRC) on March 1st 2024, to visit someone. I feel that NNRC was really A wonderful facility! The staff there were wonderful. They were very helpful to us. The entire area was just great people. The facility was very clean. It also was very clean .

Negative experience: We had to move our father out of this facility today 1/8/2024. My father came in after falling and breaking his ankle. It went from a broken ankle to him being given meds that made him delusional. He has glaucoma and would soil himself because he could not see and walk to the bathroom. They left him sitting in his soiled clothing for hours. They had a serious outbreak of Covid. The whole place was a hot spot. I was so disgusted in this place and would not put anyone at this facility. In my opinion they don’t deserve the (1) ⭐️.

Fantastic experience: I visited several skilled rehabs when I had to find a place for my mom. I knew when I walked in Northampton to get a tour this was where I wanted my mom to be. The staff immediately made me feel comfortable, especially Charlene. The few times I had an issue or questions it was addressed right away.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been impressed with the care I have received. Thanks to the help, support, and guidance of the pt department, I have improved dramatically. I would recommend this facility, but I hope not to need it in the near future.

Fantastic experience: I would like to truly thank all my therapist for helping me physically especially Dareen and Kristian for all there help. I will truly miss the staff and nurses here. I thank Day & Night shift nurses for taking good care of me day and night.

Positive experience: First time here. Nurses, Therapy Staff and all the other employees I've encountered so far go above and beyond. Love the atmosphere. The only downside is the food. Don't have a solution yet.

Fantastic experience: I give this place a 5 star rating. The nursing staff and the entire team are so loving.❣️❣️❣️ They treated my mother with the best of care. They showed me and my family so much love and respect. They are clean and very caring. Every nurse who took care of my Mom was so loving and respectful. The nursing team is full of joy and laughter, especially the Activity Director.

Fantastic experience: This is Claudette Washington. I was at the facility from April 13-29, 2023 due to knee replacement surgery. I am glad that I chose this facility for my rehabilitation. The nursing staff, physical therapy staff and occupational therapy were great. The physical and occupational therapist were outstanding and dedicated to helping in my recovery. Steven Marrow (?) and staff were excellent. I would highly recommend this facility for rehab services.

Fantastic experience: Wasn't sure what to expect and know I am a very routine person, it took me awhile to find a routine. I knew I wanted to push through all of it to get stronger through therapy. When I came here I couldn't walk, I am now walking with my walker on my own thanks to my drive and therapists. The people in therapy have helped me emotionally and physically though this process. The food was not appetizing. I would eat what I can and move on.

Positive experience: My mother Peggy was there for 3 months and she thinks it’s well staffed and equipped for patients needing physical and occupational therapy.

Negative experience: My husband fell out of bed in the morning and needed several stitches. No one even called a doctor nor me. When I came to visit mid afternoon his whole head was bandaged. After seeing the cut I called transport for Riverside Hospital, got him sewed up and took him home for good. He was in Northampton from November to the first of Jan.

Fantastic experience: The Physical Therapy (PT) department was exceptional!!!! When I came, I was extremely weak and definitely required assistance doing my daily routine. PT got me back on my feet, literally. I am very, very grateful!! The whole facility and staff were wonderful. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: We had to admit my wife's parents to the facility two months ago and both of them were reluctant about being admitted to a nursing facility. The staff has been kind and patient, and the room and the facility is well maintained. My father-in-law was in hospice and has recently passed but the staff was extremely helpful and kind throughout the difficult experience. My mother-in-law has improved with therapy and is happy and content in her new environment. We highly recommend this facility.

Fantastic experience: The staff was great they seemed to care. The PT and ST ladies were great . They really great to work with. My room was kept very clean. I would like to thank everyone.

Negative experience: This place is horrible I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone.

Negative experience: The facility is very clean. But the food they feed them is horrible, much worse than hospital food. The equipment is outdated and concerning. The nursing staff are all very nice but not very attentive to the residents. A few of them stop and ask the visitors for help. I feel very sad for them :-(

Fantastic experience: My 84 year old mother came here after fracturing her femur up near her hip. She was here for three and a half weeks before she passed away. All I can say is the staff here is outstanding! They were always polite, professional and caring when attending to my mother and talking to me. The facility was always clean and I would highly recommend this facility for your loved one. I couldn’t have asked for better care for my mother in the final days of her life!

Fantastic experience: I'm a caregiver for a patient that is receiving care from this facility... This is my first time experience with this place.... According to my patient the food is excellent, although short-staffed, the quality of care from the nursing staff is excellent.. everyone is so sweet, great demeanors... The facility is kept very clean... The physical therapists are excellent and share good info for at home care... They also have activities available for those that are interested... No complaints about this facility whatsoever

Fantastic experience: They've been great to my mom who is there for residential physical therapy! Many places had a bed available for her but thank God she chose this one.

Negative experience: So many things wrong about this place and not much time to really type it...but food is either cold or not what was posted on the menu (that is given to the patients or posted on the wall). Medicine given out late (some times up 3-4 hours) and medicine change without talking to the patient (as per the signed contract) . Nurses (the ones that are brought in to help from an outside company) are rude and can't help patients that are in need of help. But, yet, if we were to move the patient, we would have to give a 7 day notice or it would be a breach of contract...but yet everything I posted is a breach of contract...

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to every vhs and this is one of the cleanest facilities. I love it there . They treat the residents with dignity and respect which really warms my heart . I would recommend this facility to anyone .

Fantastic experience: My father received excellent care from this facility, from the moment I registered him to the time I signed him out. I was worried about leaving him but they assured me he will be ok and indeed he was. There were too many to name but the 3 that really stood out was Ms.Mary, Ms. Shannon and Ms White. Negative experience: They only enter the rooms when they have to bring meds or food and even then don't really check on the patients. They are supposed to be a rehab facility, but hardly try to rehab the patients. Physical and occupational therapy are intermittent at best. The food is inedible. The people on the floor are nice, but I don't think Northampton manages them well or even has useful job descriptions. Otherwise, the patients would be taken care of better. The only thing that matters there is the check you write them.

Negative experience: My dad was transferred here from the hospital to recover after a brain bleed. He ended up going back to the ER after being found unresponsive. He was extremely dehydrated, his urinary catheter was blocked, his bladder was severely distended, and his kidneys were shutting down... all preventable with basic care, but clearly no one was checking on or taking care of him like they should have. Do not let your loved one go here.

Fantastic experience: My mother spent 14 months here after a severe stroke that left her with many disabilities. From the administration to the therapists to the doctors to the nursing and aide staff, the care she received was extraordinary. Everyone treated her with the utmost respect, care and concern during her entire stay. The facility is clean and pleasant. My mother's care needs were difficult but everyone that touched her couldn't have been more compassionate and caring. I am forever grateful to everyone that participated in her care.

Negative experience: If there were a negative rating available.... it would be at the extreme low end. Yes... there are good folks working here... but from the top down... it's all about the money!!!! Keep looking... go someplace else.
