WaterView Health & Rehab Center: Reviews
Negative experience: My father was there The food was subpar and cold VERY slow response when he needed to go to the bathroom He had a stroke while sitting in his wheelchair and they didn’t realize until my mom came to check on him
Negative experience: I got DNR because I told next shift they didn’t have any supplies, meanwhile half the residents I changed to end my shift are still in soaking sheets because they don’t have any , but I’m “spreading negativity “. They worried about the wrong thing . Not a trash bag to be found on 2nd floor .most residents are missing trash bags in their rooms. Fridays come around that’s when linen starts to disappear and then you’re struggling all weekend with absolutely nothing. ♀️ also very unsafe patient to CNA a Nurse ratio. Which explains the fall we had this morning . But worried about spreading negativity, if you knew better you do better they just don’t care .
Positive experience: My dad spent less than a week in this facility. I must say the staff did an extraordinary job from day one. The facility was clean and ran efficiently.
Negative experience: My father arrived there close to closing time for the workers. They left him in a room like a package. He slept on the floor of one knight for fear of falling out of the bed. He is a Vet missing both of his legs. There wasn't staff present at night. If you can don't leave your family here. I did have 3 very helpful nurses.
Negative experience: Too bad you can’t give them negative stars. Do not let the people you love go here. Total cluster of humans who do not deserve to be called care givers. Unorganized, mean staff.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and clean facility
Negative experience: This place wholeheartedly deserves no stars and to be shut down forever. If you love your loveones, do not let the hospital discharge coordinators make you pick this rotten place. Get ready for the unethical, disrespectful, plantation mentality, understaffed, over medicated, malnourished and lies from the top administrator down Ms. Cross( if that woman calls you back). Her name is probably a lie also. Attachment is where you start to complain onto Hampton City, Medicare, Medicaid, Congressman, and Senators. There's nothing good going to come out but a deceased loved one if you do not do your homework. Sad thing is the health department is on the corner of Algonquin.
Negative experience: My Father-in-law was a patient in this place for three weeks. He said they were not treating him well. He became unresponsive and had to be admitted to Riverside Hospital and they said he had strokes. This horrible place does not care about your loved one and if you do DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!!!
Negative experience: My father spent 3 months too long at this facility. Believe it or not I gave them a second try but I wholeheartedly regret it. There maybe one or two people who are loving, respectful and knowledgeable who look after the residents. I met a few, but I couldn’t get a meeting with the administrator to address any of my concerns. Some things are beyond talking to the head nurse on the floor. You would think after a family member calls for a welfare check to the police because nobody answers the phones after hours would warrant a call from someone of importance? Nope, not a peep. Instead I was reprimanded for having a camera in the room. It took almost a week for them to provide a policy letter on the matter and it still didn’t say prohibited . In fact, the administrator could approve it, but guess what? When requested, it was denied with zero reasoning. What would you do? Be prepared to have your family member’s clothing to be lost, personal items damaged and rifled through, and your worst fear… your loved one calling and begging for hours for help because they can’t do anything without assistance. The sad thing, none of those things will ever be addressed by leadership. I will tell anyone who will listen about our experience and I will make sure the proper authorities are aware of how my 73yr old, severely disabled, Army veteran father was treated in that facility.
Fantastic experience: This is the best place for healing and the therapy team is top notch! They individualize therapy sessions to challenge you to get better and go home. The nursing staff is attentive and actually listens to what you're saying. Definitely recommend.
Negative experience: Worst place to send your love ones
Negative experience: This is the worst place to go I wouldn't put a ghost here they have no respect for anyone they do enough work to get a paycheck please don't do it to your self or your family members
Positive experience: Capable, but overworked staff, standard institution-style food, and a decent atmosphere for post-surgical rehabilitation to return to normal life. It's an okay place to visit on the short-term, long-term would probably get tedious.
Negative experience: This is not the Facility for you or your Love One if your priority is hands on Care. This Facility Lacks Communication skills on all Levels.
Negative experience: Wish I could give a negative 5 stars! The WORST staff working the floor EXCEPT for the front desk employee TATIANA. She was very pleasant.
Negative experience: Several times during phone calls to my friend who is a patient at Waterview, I have heard the aides complaining about the lack of staff and the high turnover and going into great detail about it. Just last night, I heard staff arguing in the hall about emptying the trash...so unprofessional. Patients should not be forced to listen to that. There is also very little choice in menu items. Patients aren’t asked for their input. Is this a prison or a long term care facility?
Negative experience: Alot of them nurses and staff workers don't take pride into their work. This is not a good facility, when family walk in they don't greet or speak to you. Bad vibes in that place and they're neglecting alot the elderly people. Riverside Rehabilitation center needs to be shut down completely. That place suppose to been shut down a long time ago.
Negative experience: The nurses have injured my family member more than three times.
Fantastic experience: Clean-Excellent Doctor: Ms. Lee
Fantastic experience: I had an older friend go here after a massive stroke. I never thought he would walk out of there, but he did. The rehab and nursing staff took good care of him and made my visits a pleasant experience. Thank you
Fantastic experience: Wonderful smiling residents, staff and care.
Fantastic experience: This is certainly a five-star facility based on the quality of care that is provided to each resident and the way the staff makes the residents feel as though they are a part of their families. The nursing and the rehab staff work very hard together to ensure that the resident maintains the most functionable Independence possible. At at times there are challenges that require a team effort to come up with creative goals so that the resident can be provided the best care.
Fantastic experience: This is a great facility for your love ones. Staff is very helpful and caring for the residents and each other.
Fantastic experience: The facility provides services to the community that would not otherwise be available. There are challenges but the staff genuinely care about each and every person they encounter. This has been demonstrated in the facility's survey results. The patients return repeatedly because of the family like environment and the quality care they receive. The therapy team is one of the best!
Fantastic experience: Riverside Hampton has the best Residents around and is family oriented. Residents live in a clean, odor free home, have a selection of meals to choose from, are kept up to date about community events such as voting and offers several Churches for service. There are a variety of Activities 7 days a week, or materials avalable for independent pursuits. The rehab Therapy and Nursing teams are outstanding, working together to help heal each patient. Riverside Hampton is a 5 star facility .
Fantastic experience: I had my mother here and when she had to come to rehab again this is where she wanted to be.the staff is caring and respectful and treat's everyone as if they are there family
Negative experience: Place I have been to in the last year never met or nurses with attitudes seem like they didn't care about the job at all one of the biggest mistakes I ever made was transferring here? Awesome plate of breakfast I was served L9l
Negative experience: Riverside can do much better with this place, the rooms are well below their standards, looks like a $30.00 a night motel:(
Fantastic experience: This is an excellent 5 Star Facility! If you are looking for skilled therapy after a hospital stay you should choose this facility! Everyone is very friendly and the facility is very clean!
Fantastic experience: The residents are happy, staff always say hi to you in the hallway, they have an award winning activities program, and Hampton Rehabilitation Center is a FIVE STAR FACILITY on Medicare.gov for great inspection results, staffing levels and quality measures :)
Negative experience: Can I leave no stars?? There was problem after problem in just the hr we were there. My husband was supposed be getting PT after spinal surgery and there were VERY rude and the place was cramped and dirty. I refused to leave him there. We ask felt he would get better care at home then in this place. There were so many things that were wrong, it's too much to put here, just know that they are not suitable help anyone!!
Negative experience: I felt horrible for my family member who was at Riverside Rehabilitation Center (RRC) who endured excruciatingly unprofessional communications (and the lack thereof) from the moment we arrived there from the hospital after a back surgery, The Nurse aid that wheeled my family member to the room was very nice and dedicated to her work. It went down hill from there. We waited from 4 pm to close to 10pm for the head nurse, nurse, male medication nurse to acknowledge our presence. (hello, my name is...I will be your nurse for tonight???) We requested pain meds and was given excuses after excuse until the pain was so unbearable that we thought it best to leave and go back to the hospital. We called the hospital to ask for permission to come back. When the staff realized we were planning to leave, then and only then did they produce the pain medication. The next day, the doctor came in with two students to talk about the treatment plan. The doctor has impeccable bedside manner. She took a seat and proceeded to ask in depth question and in the end she gave medication orders for every three hrs prn. the doctors orders were not honored as the staff gave medication when they felt "up to it" and in one case the decided to replace the pain meds with tylenol. This continued day and night...ring the bell for meds they come 30-hour later and not at all during the wee hours of the morning. we launched a complaint. The charge nurse stood by her staff until my family requested the computerized bell ring report that ultimately proved the bell was continuously rang and no medication was administered. In addition to lack of response to med calls, there was a lack of nurses documentations, mis communication between staff and a whole lot of nasty attitude. Ultimately, my family member ended their stay ahead of time and left under duress. I cannot say the entire place is bad. I give two stars instead of one because there were some exceptional staff, like the Dr and PT dept. Can't rally throw the baby out with the bathwater but bad employee relationships, shady nurses and lack of professionalism happens because of leadership...or the lack thereof.
Negative experience: Sister been here almost a year and family have to be involved.the nurse rude an unprofessional. I hate this place the products she suppose have is never on the floor then complain about alternative we give her.slow to come when you ring for help. The worst place to place to put your family. Nobody cares most there only for the money.
Negative experience: The service sucks my mom been there over 3 months she had a stroke and can speak for herself so when i come to visit she's all ways wet so hit the help button and it normally take 10 minutes before a nurse come in and they have a attitude and say what you need so when i tell them she's wet then she says I'm going to get another nurse in here ..it normally take 40 minutes to an hour before anybody come to change her also i personally brought a tv in for her to look at and i was told it would get hooked up immediately once i bring it in but that was a lie 3 months before it got hooked up and their excuse was the maintenance department needed parts for cox cable also i asked to get my mom out of bed and sit her up sometime so they told me to bring her clothes from home and they wil sit her up ...that was a lie since i brought her clothes since February now its april she only been sat up maybe 3 times and when they do they just sit her in the dinning area in the corner and forget about her because one time she was sitting up in the dinning room when i pulled her sheet off of her she had the nutrition food that's feed through my moms stomach must have came loose so she had the food running all down her leg and on the floor so i mentioned it to the nurse it was like 5 of them in there at the time and one nurse came over turn the feeding machine off and said the same crap ill get another nurse ...these people are horrible from the front office to the back they dont care pray for her cause i been trying so hard to get her to another facility cause they suck
Negative experience: Some employees who seem to hate their job and take it off on our family members, I will never forget what my grandmother endured there! The day she passed she was screaming for help and your nurses just shut the da#n door, I had her sent to the hospital later that day and she didn't make it, she told you she couldn't breath and yalls reply "if she can holler like that she can breath just fine" careless "care providers" just there for a paycheck!
