Bon Secours Maryview Center for Physical Rehabilitation

Fantastic experience: Maryview rehab and regular stay was awesome. I truly want to thank Mr Don, Heather, Lisa, Nicole,Ms Luanne and all the nurses and other staff. My visit was truly a pleasure. Everyone were so nice. Blessings to all of you.

Fantastic experience: I am a 15 year survivor in 2008 I went for ot and pt and I had the most loving therapists not did they give you therapy but true love to help me heal mind body and soul. I truly want to thank them for giving me back my encouragement and confidence. So if you have someone who needs it I can recommend

Fantastic experience: Can't say enough good things about the care and help I was given to get me back on my feet. Go in with a good attitude and a willingness to work, and they take it from there. Everyone is caring and friendly. Never thought I would get as far as I did in such a short period of time. I highly recommend Maryview Physical Rehabitation Center to anyone needing PT/OT services.

Fantastic experience: I broke my hip in. 3 places and was sent to Bon Secours Rehab and the nurses and therapist were so caring. This rehab is great place to heal.

Negative experience: Simply terrible. My wife was sent here for physical therapy after her hospital stay. The staff are not well trained to work with patients needing help with bathing & feeding. It sure seemed like the patient's individual needs are of no concern to anybody. After 21 days here, my wife was in worse medical condition than when she arrived. They simply wanted to max out the insurance coverage then boot her out whether she was ready or not. The food is disgusting as well. I can't recommend this facility at all.

Negative experience: This place is absolutely worthless. My dad was here for 21 days when we decided enough was enough after finding out at 4:30-5:00 every day he was being given sleeping aids as multiple nurses said every patient on the unit had been given as well daily. The times he was supposed to be in therapy he would call us or we would walk in and they had him blocked in the room with a locked wheelchair and a table in front of him so he couldn't move. He would go from the previous night until the next night without being changed. It took him multiple calls to get help to use the restroom if anyone even acknowledged him asking. We were told not to show up until 4:00pm daily when most of the time therapy was over at noon. The entire time he was there they never gave him a shower. The bed hardly ever got changed. Any time OT or PT was asked a question it was always put off as someone else's job. OT Tracy was ALWAYS rude when asked questions and never wanted us apart of family learning days. They tried to force antidepressants on my father after he had said no multiple times. Any time we would try to call to get ahold of my dad (after they would purposely put his cell phone out of reach nobody ever answered the phone to the facility. They also tried to fight us and tell us he couldn't be discharged early when we told them we felt he was being treated horribly and inhumane. My experience working in nursing this place is by far the WORST place your family member could ever have to deal with.

Negative experience: Husband was a patient for 21 days only thing therapists was concerned about was teaching him how to use a transfer board only had him stand 3 times and never had his 3 hours of therapy a day he either sat in a wheelchair for 15 or so minutes while therapist walked to another room or sat for hours in his room in a wheelchair, this place is not helpful with rehab at all . Seen patients get released and most if not all was released to medical transport not saying much for the therapists when that takes place and patients are giving sleep aids at 5:00 everyday. Highly recommend doing research on other facilities I wish I would have I do not recommend this place at all .

Fantastic experience: My dad had a stroke in January and he went here for over 2 weeks for therapy and the staff and everybody was very nice. Definitely recommend them if you have a love one who needs therapy. The only bad thing I have to say is I wish they would of gave me steps to do after my dad had to leave there. Instead of rushing trying to find him a place at the last minute.

Negative experience: Best Hospital in Portsmouth which isn't saying much. My Aunt, Mom and elementary school friend died here. You better off calling a friend or getting an Uber to literally any other hospital.

Fantastic experience: The Staff really care about your will being. There serious about getting you well. The food is good also
