Fantastic experience: Everyone was the bester. I was taken care of like a queen. Don't know if I would have made it mentally if it hadn't been for the teams working on me.

Fantastic experience: This rehab was a great experience for our family when my mom went there after surgery for a broken femur and wrist. The OT and PT staff were amazing. The facility is very clean, the food was good, and all staff we encountered were personable, compassionate, and friendly. Love that the OT/PT department involves the family with training. It was so helpful. Also, the recreational therapy was fun!

Fantastic experience: The Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital Medical plus Non-medical Staff has thus far proven to be great in helping me recover from my recent and most challenging health issue. Some folks are even more than outstanding in their labors with me. This very day, I've gotten hold of paperwork to attempt expressing commendations because excellence should be boldly noted by us who are recipients more than a nod, pleasant facial expression or occasionally saying, "thanks and/or please." I'll gladly recommend this facility to anyone since witnessing first hand a cheerful, dedicated, intelligent, sincere, and willing Staff, complementing work preceding by The VAMC Emergency Room Staff plus Riverside Regional Medical Center respectively. Fantastic experience: All the staff are very kind and caring. Doctors listen to your concern. The therapy equipment is top notched, and the therapists are very encouraging. We’ve already recommended Riverside to another family.

Fantastic experience: Assume place to recover. The entire staff was great. They are a well oiled team from Doctors , Nurses, Aids, Rehabilitation team, the food was great. Fantastic experience: I'm definitely not getting pay to review this rehabilitation center. The staff there is excellent. It's nice and clean. They are very professional and friendly. They have a routine schedule for their patients. They have family discussions updates. Michelle the social worker is phenomenal. The entire staff from the therapist, nurses and doctors are great. Thank you for everything. You took great care of my dad.

Fantastic experience: I stayed her for 2 weeks while I recovered from a heart attack, having to learn to completely walk all over again. I had been bed ridden for a month. This rehab center was fantastic. All the staff was just wonderful and friendly and caring. NO one could ask for better treatment!

Fantastic experience: Riverside Rehab exceeded my expectations. My mother was very nervous to go to this facility after a hospital stay. After one day at this rehab center, she decided that she loved it. She immediately bonded with the therapists and loved the food. I visited her daily and was impressed by multiple things: the cleanliness, the quality of staff, private rooms and bathrooms for every patient, the therapy gym, family centered care, and a printed out schedule each morning allowing her to know the times of her therapy sessions and who would be conducting them. She is leaving rehab stronger and happier than she has been in a very long time!

Al ingresar a este lugar el tenía muchas limitaciones en sus movimientos pero luego de dos semanas de rehabilitación en este lugar pudo recuperar una gran parte de sus movimientos y la esperanza de recuperar el resto si sigue las terapias en el hogar. El objetivo de este lugar es rehabilitar para ser autosuficiente y en efecto este lugar cumple con su objetivo. Las facilidades son amplias y están muy bien equipadas para cumplir con el propósito de rehabilitar.

Fantastic experience: The most encouraging, kind and fun staff imaginable! I arrived after spine surgery and was unable to walk or stand. I had been dependent on a walker or cane for many months prior to arrival. Now, a mere 2 weeks later and I'm walking easily on a walker. I can't count the number of professionals I could ask for direction and help! The voluntary Sunday specials consist of some great exercises and stimulately games, like Name that Tune. Perfect for the 40's thru the 70,s . Bottom line, this facility opened my world back up. Should I ever need this type of help again, I wouldn't even consider going elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: My husband had back surgery and when I was told he had to go to stay somewhere for rehab, I wasn't happy. I have had three different experiences with rehab and they were all nightmares. HOWEVER, not Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital. From the very beginning, starting with his Case Manager Michelle. She made sure everything that my husband needed was taken care of. Even now that we have been home for almost a week, all we've had to do is call her and she has helped. At the rehab that I had experienced, the patients sit in their rooms most of the day, waiting for their very short therapy sessions. Not here. He would get a schedule every morning. They started the day with occupational therapy with Joe. He would come in to help my husband get cleaned up, dressed and ready for the day. Showing how to complete task without bending, leaning or twisting which would have hurt his back. He then had three different times of the day for his physical therapy. One day he had four sessions. With all of their great help, he was able to come home after only one week. Not only is the staff exceptional he also loved the food. I would finally like to say THANK YOU, Michelle, Joe, Alexa, Sha, Karen, Bree, Katharine, Haniel, Cassi, Sara, Madison, Shakira, Mye, Pam and Zack.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed my time at the Riverside Rehab. The time felt like Boot Camp in PT/OT. The Therapists were supportive and professional. All the nursing staff, clinical and none clinical were great. Dr Huber, and all staff Dr’s were very professional and compassionate. Wish my stay could have been a couple more weeks. Not standing for so long I feel my accomplishments were good due to all the weakness that I was experiencing. Thank you all for for the hard work. Shirley Dukes

Fantastic experience: I was treated with dignity, kindness, and courtesy by all administrative staff, nurses, and therapists who were all very efficient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: First it very important to read the reviews. Each buiness is given the opportunity to pay for reviews. I can not at this time recommend this rehab. They discriminate. My husband fell and broke his hip. They denied. A retired United States vet they say they are military friendly but in our experience they are not.

Positive experience: I'm forever grateful to Alice and Karen for helping us get my dad into Riverside Rehab Hospital. It was a bit of an ordeal, and they were so supportive to our plight. It's still fairly new with a great rehabilitation team. Richelle and Ashley were fantastic in challenging and teaching dad how to walk and use his hands again. Everyone was friendly, from the welcome desk folks to the nurses, to the dining folks. Nursing/Rehab Asst care was good (some better than others, but you get that anywhere you go.) Some standouts were Dee, Calista, Mye, and Lavondria. The rooms are state-of-the art and really have rehab patients in mind. He got 24/7 hospital care. Carmel, (Dietician) was fantastic and always showed great care with my dad. She went above and beyond to try to get him eating again. We are grateful to her, as well! Hospital food was decent. I wish there had been more group activities for the patients/families. We REALLY enjoyed the Sunday wheelchair/balloon workout. We participated, as well, and it was helpful and fun. I would have liked longer visiting hours to visit my dad. I'm deducting a star because my dad's release was not very well coordinated. It was rushed, and we didn't get any time with the PT/OT to get caregiver training like we were told we would. Also, we received a bill for Dr. Singleton's work. It was a big bill, and we should have never received it. I had to call the Billing office, and they said they didn't have dad's insurance information. I don't understand this since the other costs were billed to his insurance, and the hospital had all of that information. The situation was resolved, but we shouldn't have had to have dealt with that especially during this stressful time. Overall, this is a fantastic facility. I would want any family member (and even myself) to stay there if they need to. I definitely would recommend this hospital to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility w/ great staff. Richelle, Joe, & Sudduth are incredible!! They got me back on my feet & back home. And if your lucky enough to get Mai as your nurse, you're blessed. She is an incredible nurse!! Karen was special too. They were all so caring. In 3 weeks, they got me eating, walking, & doing everyday activities. Such exceptional care. Would highly recommend if rehab care is needed.

Fantastic experience: The experience I had here at Riverside rehabilitation hospital there's not enough stars for this facility.every body from beginning to discharge date was so wonderful ,respectful From the cleaning lady up she was great kept rooms very clean .The food very healthy and variety great tasting . Nurses were great concerned about your well-being, the physical therapist were Excellent they helped me more then i can say They got me walking again great program , I would recommend this place for anyone going through a rough time. Fantastic experience: Oh God I thank you. I would recommend this hospital Riverside rehab to anyone. To me it was top-notch service five stars across the board from the top to the bottom which means from the staff all the way up from the administration down to the staff excellent nurses excellent OT, PT. everything was nice. The staff, they care about you and without them I wouldn't be where I am today I had surgery a little over 2 weeks ago on my right knee to be implemented and then I had the left knee done, both total knee replacements. I feel like if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be where I am right now so I'm at home now I came home yesterday nothing but the best all I can say this is a wonderful hospital and I recommend it to anyone. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I rarely leave reviews for anything but this facility was so awesome at the level of care my mom received while she was recovering from a stroke. She was transferred here from sentera Norfolk general we’re she received horrible care and transferred here to recover. And in two weeks they had my mom walking and talking again I highly recommend this facility.

Fantastic experience: My father was there for 3 to 4 weeks after a massive stroke in November 2021. He has left sided weakness. They provided Occupational, Physical and Speech therapy. He had a Case Manager, who facilitated group telephone meetings and prepared me for my father's discharge date. All of the staff was excellent. The facility is beautiful and the program intensive. There are at least 3 hours of therapy per day and it is tailored to the needs of the patient. During the week, a patient may have up to 2 visitors between 4 and 8 pm, I believe. On weekends it's between 2 and 6 pm. My father and I were pleased with his placement there. I would recommend and would choose again.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Team! That should be the banner over this place. I have been here for six weeks and the incredible strides we, together have made; taking a person who could barely move on the left side to a point where I am walking over 200 feet moving my hand and grasping things and getting a quality of life back. There’s no way to thank all the nurses, doctors, therapist even those that take your meal orders. It is just been a phenomenal experience for me and one that I owe so much gratitude in return. Shout out to Ms Kerri, Ms Kathy, Ms Katie, Ms Sudith, Ms Sara and dog Ada, all the nurses and so many others. Fantastic experience: Very professional, clean, and committed. My father received excellent care at this facility. Each day he was kept very busy with his rehabilitation. When he entered he could barely stand on his own and after 1 1/2 weeks was walking with a walker and able to go home. I highly recommend Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital.

Fantastic experience: Riverside Rehabilitation center helped me with a dislocated ankle and several fractures also related to my ankle. The staff were superb and excellent in formulating a plan to help me recover enough so I could get back home. I would definitely recommend this facility if you need any type of therapy. Fantastic experience: RRI provided excellent care to my mother when she broke her hip. The team is compassionate and responsive. She had a very comfortable stay and healed really well thanks to the rehabilitation provided.

Fantastic experience: “Wow”is a great word. We came to Riverside rehab after being in the hospital with Covid for 3 months. We were given bad news several times but he beat the odds. When he first was transported to rehab he could not walk or get out of bed on his own. Also, could not eat or dress himself. After 3 weeks there he could do it all. He was able to dress himself, eat breakfast and walked out on a walker. I cannot thank all the therapist and staff enough for him to be able to continue his journey.

Fantastic experience: Words can not explain the level of care this faculty has given to my son ! They are personal and courteous to the families. The PT OT and Speech therapist are AWESOME. Where I was told my sons new normal would be a life of non responsiveness (after being non responsive for about 66days) they came in and went to work, got my son back on track to recovery with in a week ! He still had a recovery road ahead but with their dedication and passion he wouldn’t be and definitely wasn’t expected to be where he is today ! Let me not forgot , Not one time did I have a worry of his daily care while dealing with all of this during Covid which speaks volume. Fantastic experience: My best friend was a patient at this facility back in October where they took wonderful care of her. From the moment we arrived everyone went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable and had what she needed. I was told at the hospital that they might not let me stay with her, but I was also welcomed and treated with kindness. When she arrived she had just undergone a major surgery, suffered a stroke and had lost the use of her left side. She was blessed with the most caring, knowledgeable staff from the numerous nurses, aides, food service and custodial staff. Everyone was friendly and took the time to learn her name and make us feel a part of the wonderful rehab family. There couldn’t be a friendlier staff of therapists in this world. These women are all very friendly and knowledgeable in their fields of therapy. Without Ashley Whitley, Katherine Watts , Sara Clark, Kat Harris, Katie Poorman and Megan Leigh I don't believe she would have made the progress she did. She ended up staying for three weeks of treatment and would have stayed longer if she could have. By the time she was released she was able to walk out with only the assistance of a cane all because of the loving care she received from the remarkable staff. I would also say a special thanks Wendy Bunting, Amy Harden , Monique Johnson, Tracy Eure, Robin Williams, Jessica and Jim Waldrip. I highly recommend Dr. Moss, she has a caring loving heart and always takes time to listen even to the smallest of concerns. If you ever are in need of awesome service and care I hope that you consider this family of caregivers.

Fantastic experience: I arrived after 10 days at Riverside Hospital having contracted Guillain Barre Syndrome. I was pretty much paralyzed from the shoulders down. After transferring to RRI and around 6 weeks of intensive Occupational and Physical Therapy, I will be going home walking. The medical and therapy staff here are awesome. They gave me the therapy and moral support to dig deep and achieve the results I wanted. These are folks that truly care about their patients and will do whatever it takes to get them to the finish line. I particularly want to highlight the care I got from my OT/PT therapists; Katie, Keri, Meghan and Claiborne. They never quit on me during the rough times and made sure I always gave my therapy sessions 100%. I will be forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: My husband was a patient for 3 weeks at Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital after an automobile accident. He had many injuries from head to toe. The staff at Riverside rehab is awesome. They are so caring, professional and fun. The meals are wonderful there also. The therapy department worked him hard and he has benefited greatly from his efforts, he is now walking with a cane. We are expecting a full recovery thanks to Riverside Rehab. Highly recommend this hospital.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my stay here. The employees are A1. They are very compassionate and I would recommend this place to anyone. If I ever had to stay at a hospital again it will be here. I've been waiting on my discharge day, but this is a sweet goodbye.
