Fantastic experience: My dad been there less of a week,but the place is nice and the workers are nice and doing a good job trying to help the patients their caring for and the building is secure,you have to check in to acknowledge your in the building is a plus for safety,glad my dad is in a good place

Positive experience: For rehabilitation it was the place to go. All the staff there was nice and respectful also caring and funny. On floor 5 nurses was respectful and kind Yvonne, Derion and a few others that I met just can’t recall their names. When leaving I had the help of Butchie. I think that’s how you spell his name. If you have friends or family visit maybe you should ask them to bring you food. Food was cook going by every patient dietary needs. Unless you do Uber Eats or Door Dash. Fantastic experience: As a former employee of Riverside health and rehab, I am always very satisfied about the quality of care that they provide to the residence and hence the reason why if I would always recommend this place to any of my family members like my mom to receive care in the time of recovery. Fantastic experience: My mother in law was at Riverside several months ago and I forgot to do a google review. She required Pulmonary rehab and was able to get her sleep study completed onsite. It was amazing to see every discipline attend the family meeting. Everyone genuinely cared about her status and our concern for what was needed in order for her to get back home. Thank you all for getting her where she needed to be.

Fantastic experience: My girlfriend was moved there last night. And she told me that she starts rehab on Monday. I hope you guys are able to get her on her feet by the end of the week and walking soon.

They also made my birthday special when I was here as well. Donna was also very helpful and went out of her way for me when I needed to keep my appointments with my doctor.I have no hesitation in coming back here again

Fantastic experience: My father was admitted last night, and all staff that I met could not have been any nicer! From the sweet woman at the front desk, to the maintenance staff, to his nurses, everyone treated us like we really are of the highest priority, with such care, kindness, and concern. I’m so so grateful that my dad will be staying at such a wonderful facility. It brings me great peace to know that he is being well cared for.

Fantastic experience: Nurse Cindy who cares for my father Mr Lewis is the best. She is always so kind and caring for my dad and for us. She always thanks us for visiting. She is cheerful and make my family feel so welcome every time we visit

Positive experience: Personnel where very attentive. Facilities nice and clean.

Fantastic experience: My father was there for a total of 2 days. He was declining rapidly. Tried calling, no answer. Spoke to floor nurse, he gave me different answers hours apart. Went to visit, they never set up his bipap machine and wondered why his cognitive function was low. Equiptment tech told me he didn't know what a bipap was and that the nurse didn't either. Staff couldn't get him to take his meds. An absolutely horrific experience. Couldn't get him out of there faster. Only good note was the respitory women who came in and put up with our less than agreeable demeanor. She did set up the bipap correctly, after more than 24 hour after being there. Wouldn't send my worst enemy there to suffer.

Fantastic experience: The facility was very clean and an appears to be a great environment for our cousin. We also appreciated Kayla’s care for our cousin as well. You should consider cloning her!

Fantastic experience: I love Riverside health and Rehabilitation center and it is good place to go for rehab and to live in and the nurses and doctors and CNA is nice and friendly I wood give them all points and they all doing good work and I wood coming back again.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was wonderful with me. I didn't have to want for anything. It doesn't get any better than that. In the future I want to stay healthy, but if anything was to happen Riverside is the place I would like to be at. Butchie went above the call of duty for me, and Jen my social worker was alway there for me. Becky in resprloratory always made sure I was breathing right. I could thank everyone but that would take for ever. So I would like to thank all the Riverside staff for they do. I would like to recommend Riverside to everyone. They are outstanding and full of compassion, I love you all.

Fantastic experience: My in-laws were both at this facility because it was no longer safe for them to be at home with their Dementia. Pedro the nurse on the third floor was always kind professional and attentive to my mother. Each and every nursing assistant demonstrated the same qualities. Very grateful to this facility for its excellent care.

Fantastic experience: The Rehabilitation centre is nicely maintained. The service is very good. Staff behaviour is excellent and cooperative. They take care of patients nicely.. Excellent condition and maintenance.

Positive experience: Staff was very pleasant, helpful and professional. In terms of the patient, he appears very sedated and was unable to interact. He was very lethargic ai 3:15 pm.

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased to see the service that was given today. The Front desk she was very professional and guide me with the questions on the little machine. Admitting office was very professional and answered all my questions. Back in 2014” my dad passed away there and we were pleased with the services so I decided to place my aunt, I know that she will get great care and will be safe. Buchie was a great help when we first got there. Very professional and guide us and kept us posted with new information in the facility. He also made sure that my aunt understood if she needed anything. We are so great for having people that are kind and compassionate in what they do. At this point it’s been difficult for me because I am a caregiver for my husband who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s 5 years ago. I just love the welcoming and the vibe at Riverside. Fantastic experience: well I am so appreciate the upkeeping at Riverside health and rehab center the people here are very nice and the treatment was great I have no problem with them me and them correspond very well and anything I want and I get it if I don't want that they try to get it for me and I so appreciate it and I will recommend anyone want to come to rehab to come here so I am glad I'm here the one month and couple days and I am so happy they have done a lot for me because when I get here I couldn't do anything for myself and I can move about and help myself thank you guys very much for everything.

Fantastic experience: People make the difference in senior care. Riverside is BIG. 5 floors, probably a census somewhere around 300+ residents. Every single person so far, in just two days, has been professional and extremely nice. Nurse Yvonne on the 5th floor, the APRN, aides, recreational director, Kathy in the admissions office, and Cameron in the business office. (Figured I'd name those that have been especially helpful during this very rough time in my father's life.) Cameron specifically spent a LOT of time with me today. Gathering needed paperwork and submitting various documents for Medicaid, etc. I was about to give up doing it myself at home, but she helped me through the process! Looks like a real good place for my father long term. He says he's comfortable, the place doesn't smell like a nursing home, he has a nice size room with a TV, a few dressers and cabinets for personal belongings, and a sunny window with a view of the Hartford skyline. UPDATE: Things are still going well, father has now been here 5 months and Riverside is still doing a solid job. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: Karen Joseph and Brittany are a delight to be around. Every morning they come in with a big smile on their faces and are always in a very good mood. They take their jobs very seriously. They are a credit to their professions. They are very personable and fun to be around. They are very helpful and would do anything to help you out. They are an asset to this facility. It would be great if we had more people like them. I will miss them when I'm gone. Also, I must mention my therapists Carol and Ivona who have helped me on my journey to getting back to living a normal life. If it wasn't for them, I don't know where I'd be right now, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. And finally Butchie, a great guy, who helped me out when I needed it most. Positive experience: I have 2 friends staying there getting rehab they seem to be doing OK. At first one had a bad experience with the lab, they said my friend kidneys were having trouble due to blood work so they sent here to hospital but then was told lab made mistake so she was sent back to rehab but it really scared her. Things are OK now but she had a really bad scare.

Fantastic experience: Of the three rehab facilities I have experience with, Riverside was #1 by 100%. From the admissions process to the fifth floor, staff was engaged, professional and skilled. Some staff were especially gifted in developing a positive relationship with their patients. Facility was clean, had good leadership and I wish we had gone there initially.

Fantastic experience: There are many people I want to give accolades to but I'm not good with names. Here's a few that have stood out during my stay at riverside. Brittany was an awesome nurse, always ready to lend a hand or address my concerns. Michelle the CNA also was always there to help meet my needs or even just an ear to to listen. I feel sad that I can't remember the OT's and PT's names that assisted me on a daily basis but I assure you that they were a great crew. They made me work hard and I appreciate all they've done for me. Jenn was the best social worker I had ever met, going through hoops to get me where I need to be. Thank you Jenn. And there's nothing I can say to Butchie but thank you from the bottom of my heart. They don't make them any better, coffee, pasta, snacks you name it he'll do it. Picking me up a cellphone was the kicker, it will never be forgotten. He is truly an angel on earth THANK YOU!!!. I'm sorry for not mentioning everybody but you've all have helped. These were just a few that have stood out. Keep up the good work, I know that with all your time and effort, I will will.

Fantastic experience: I've been here two months, they've treated me really good. I'm greatfull for all the help I recieved in getting well enough to return home. Fantastic experience: It's only been a few hours since my Mom arrived, so far so good and all the nurses and such seem nice and polite. Will update later. Update: Honestly forgot to do this, but my Mom was discharged 4/18/2024. Her stay was very enjoyable according to her, her roommate was nice and they looked out for each other. Only issue was the meals, they give you a menu for the week for breakfast lunch and dinner and let you pick substitutions if you don't like what is being served. Only 3 times out of the 2 weeks my Mom was there did she get the exact thing she requested, usually we had to wait sometimes an hour for her to get the dinner she actually wanted. However everything else was perfect, the social worker, physical therapy worker, and med management worker were all very communicative and let me know what was needed so I could be better prepared for her return home.

Fantastic experience: My good friend is at Riverside now, and everytime he has had a stay at Riverside the staff is so incredibly nice. I find the facility clean and my friend seems very happy with the care he receives. He has a good appetite and I have never heard him complain about the food so that is telling you something! I am very impressed with the care and attentiveness he gets at Riverside! Great job !!

Fantastic experience: MY mother was a resident here at Riverside and she always had great things to say about this facility. I myself needed rehab, so I knew the only place I would wann be at would be Riverside. My CNA Natalie was very nice she was alway there for me whenever I needed anything. My nurse Morgan is kind and took great care of me I would like to thank her as well. Brianna was great helping me with therapy so I get well enough to home home sooner then later. Iastly I would like to thank Butchie, I call him my personal chef, he's always cooking up something delicious for the residents, he's always checking up on me to make sure I was ok. Positive experience: Clyde was an excellent CNA; he answered your calls and took care of whatever you needed. Butch what is the especially helpful in checking with us and being sure we were given whatever was needed. P T. And various departments and individuals were very patient and took the time to show you if there was something you didn’t understand. The women who usually delivered the meals frequently, asked if you had enjoyed it.

Fantastic experience: I’m writing to let everyone know that Riverside Health Center in East Hartford Ct. is the best! I’m writing this from my personal experience. I was treated like a queen in every way possible.. My CNA Michele W is the most kindest person. Within two days of being here I felt like I was more of a friend than a patient. I was sick with Pneumonia for 5 weeks an in ICU for 16 days before coming to Riverside. Having COPD respiratory rehab was important for me and Becky and Georgette are the best Techs. My daytime nurse Darien is great, she was right there when I needed her. Butchie in customer service checked on me several times a day, you can tell he truly cares for everyone here, anything I needed he makes sure I get it. There’s so much more I can say, lastly I would like to say thank you to all the staff you are truly appreciated. Diane Hoskins

Fantastic experience: After having a loved one in many different Rehab facilities over the past several years, our experience at Riverside healthcare center has by far then the most pleasant for all involved. Whenever I am in the building, I feel welcomed by all the staff members from the front desk up to the fifth floor. The overall energy is overwhelmingly and consistently positive. I am particularly impressed with this because I know how hard it is in this day and age when everyone everywhere is so overworked. The vibe in this facility is welcoming, energetic uplifting. Positive experience: Riverside is just about the best rehab facility in the state. The staff if for the most part helpful, welcoming and friendly. The rehab stall esp. Iwona Jen and Brittany are amazing .with CNA’s like Maria, Jay, John, and Nurses like Darien, Marsha, Tamara, Eyvonne, Anwar, Jackie and Erica , the front desk staff, Butch, Matt and Ashley make the experience truly awesome. There are a few CNA’s that should not be employed there that still are!Afterall the patient should be treated with respect and dignity by all including CNA’s there are a few that truly need retraining!! A few bad apples spoil the bag!!

Positive experience: Sal and Ella are CNAs at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation. I'd take them home with me if I could. IMO All the CNAs are excellent and kind to the patients. The pizza sauce was quite good. There's room for improvement on menu selection. It takes too long to get items that you select.
