Fantastic experience: I’ve utilized PTSMC a few times over the last several years & have always had good experiences. The staff are friendly, professional, knowledgeable, & caring. The staff keep the environment fun & relaxed. During my most recent time, I completed my physical therapy & extended my time in their transitional PT/coaching program where I received individualized coaching & guidance to further my health goals. I truly benefited from this additional program & found the coaching app along with professional instruction very helpful. Christina really cheered me on & pushed me outside my comfort zone. I would highly recommend PTSMC Newington for both their physical therapy & their transitional coaching program.

Fantastic experience: I started coming to Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers Newington a little over two years ago. I had a lot of issues with rounded shoulders and poor posture for years, stemming from working at a desk, and muscle imbalances from exercising. This resulted in shoulder pain, especially when weightlifting. I tried to address the issue on my own from watching various videos on YouTube, with little to no success. After a couple of years of trying to solve the problem on my own, I decided to try physical therapy. It did not take me long to realize that I made the right decision. I started working with Sean twice a week. I quickly figured out what the plan of attack was: start with simple exercises, and as soon as I mastered those, move to slightly more challenging moves. I had no idea that a progression plan like this was necessary, so working with an expert who really knew what he was doing was extremely helpful. I started noticing improvements to my posture after just a couple of weeks. This really kept me motivated, especially since I struggled getting any results on my own. After a few months going twice a week, my posture had improved drastically, and the shoulder pain was gone. After focusing on ankle issues that I also had been dealing with for a couple of more months, Sean mentioned something about a virtual coaching program they were offering that would focus on my overall fitness. Sean would put together a detailed workout schedule for me to follow each week, with each exercise clearly explained with the proper number of sets, reps, and total intensity for me to follow. Similar to the physical therapy, he had a progression plan in mind. As I got stronger, he gradually increased the overall intensity. I also started making in clinic visits once a month for Sean to check my progress and form. Fast forward two years later, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision I made. Sean has me doing all different types of challenging exercises. I have made great strides with my overall strength. My confidence has also improved. Sean and the rest of the team are a delight. They are warm, and very flexible when it comes to cancellations and reschedules. Sean answers any and all questions I have about technique, approach, and everything in between (and trust me, I ask a lot of questions). I highly recommend Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers Newington to anyone who needs physical therapy or is interesting in improving their overall fitness.

Fantastic experience: I have spent a total of 2 years at PTSM in Newington from past ACL injuries and can say that I loved it there! Everyone really cares about you and gets you where you need to be. I have been through a lot of rehab and feel very grateful for the support as well as the connections I have made. I have also had the opportunity to do the virtual physical therapy program, which was very helpful for when I was away at school. It helped me stay on track with my progress and fitness goals while being able to stay in touch with my physical therapist. I definitely recommend going to PTSM in Newington if you are in need of physical therapy!

Fantastic experience: The perfect place to receive physical therapy. All the therapist are extremely compassionate, Sean made sure that all moves and stretches were done just right. The receptionist always greeting with a smile and positive attitude made the beginning of each session just right. Best place if you need physical or occupational therapy.

Fantastic experience: I was fortunate enough to work with Roy for my shoulder impingement which had developed from working from home during the pandemic. In a matter of weeks I went from barely being able to use my left arm and having a hard time sleeping with the discomfort to being back to my regular routine. I can't say enough about Roy and the teams' professionalism, competence and flexibility.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to PTSMC for 3 weeks for a pinched nerve in my lumbar region. I am happy to say I have found relief and seen a great improvement since I began my program. I would highly recommend this practice. Joe did the initial assessment and devised my program. I was working primarily with him and then had the pleasure of working with Cristina as well as Andrea. All three are professional and knowledgeable making me feel comfortable and confident in their care. The office is well run with Mackensie at the front desk offering a warm welcome to each person as they come in the door. The appointments are kept on time and the time is used efficiently. Everyone is masked and I have witnessed a lot of cleaning and disinfecting which is also important to me with Covid around. If you are looking for a good physical therapy office that runs smoothly and provides great care you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Staff is very professional and knowledgeable. On my first visit I received a thorough assessment which identified specific problems which were likely contributing to my issues. Between my appointments and the exercises and stretches I am assigned to perform at home, I am noticing a difference after only a few weeks. Much better experience than the last PT office I received care at.

Fantastic experience: I injured my knee back in October, and did a lot of strengthening prior to surgery with my pt Gabby. I then got my knee surgery in December, thanks to her I was recommended to a great orthopedic surgeon Dr. Kuhn. Now, three months later I am doing back squats, modified deadlifts, and bear crawls. Gabby is a highly recommended pt, she has a great passion for her work and really cares for her patients. The staff is very friendly and the facility is clean, if anybody needs a place for pt I highly recommend coming to this facility.

For example, in my case my elbow was cracked and therapy was needed not only in that area but in all connecting tendons, bones and muscles right down to my fingertips. RJR.

I have a complicated neck problem along with issues with dizziness which requires trust with a therapist. He is very professional and knowledgeable. He is definitely my go to person with questions. Fantastic experience: Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine - Newington, CT was recommended by my local walk-in after a visit for extreme shoulder pain. My PT Alyssa Griffo, was both knowledgeable and compassionate. She knew what was needed to ease and heal my pain. After a few weeks of her targeted, and painless treatments, my shoulder returned to a pain free state. Appointment scheduling was accommodating. During each visit, I was evaluated, educated, and treated. I also received simple exercises to do at home, to help increase strength, and hopefully avoid recurrence. Director Joe Allen was involved directly in one of my sessions. I found him to be both knowledgeable, and personable. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend PTSMC Newington. Though I hope to avoid, I'm relieved to have found Alyssa, and my go to place, for PT in the future!
