Windsor Gardens Care Center of Hayward

Fantastic experience: I was at Windsor Gardens in 2019 after a bad auto accident. Many of the people shown in the photo were there at that time. They helped me A LOT. The therapists (I especially remember Shuba)really helped me walk again, but I never had a chance to thank them and tell them what a difference they made. No place is perfect...sometimes the food wasn't the best but in the long run, it helped me lose weight because they didn't overfeed me. There is a good spirit there and the happy atmosphere helped to lift my spirits and recover. Thank you, Windsor Gardens, for all you did for me. In retrospect, it was actually kind of fun.

Negative experience: Please don't take your love ones here, I took my mother to this facility and I have regret it , she came to this facility to walk and have wound care, but instead I had to take her to emergency with a new bigger worse wound that she had, not walking and infection got worse since she wasn't given the right treatment, they never had the right equipment to cure her wound, they would leave her wound open for more than a hour and look for items and they didn't have bandages they would reuse it for days. I really regret taken my mother her some of the staff are good but the ones that did the wound care are the worse.

Fantastic experience: The new management really made this place 1000x better. Thanks again for taking such good care of my grandfather, great that there are still places such as Hayward Gardens that care so much for the elderly!! Keep it up!

Negative experience: Disturbing the way they talk to you on the phone and hang up on you

Negative experience: Sorry to say I was a visitor today at the facility I was seeing a relative and the nurse arash was belittling a cna just talking to her any kind of way very disrespectful his actions was very unprofessional and shouldn’t have escalated the way it did something has to be done about his attitude this is not the only time I e seen him belittle a cna

Positive experience: The food needs improvement. Mike you are missed but I am sure with training they can reach your high standards. The nurses and their aids go out of their way to help you. Shout out to Sangeetha and Reggie for the good job in therapy. Even Joe the driver went out of his way to help me. Great job guys, I highly recommend Windsor Gardens.

Fantastic experience: I have been in this facility since Sept 28, 2021, I experienced excellent treatment and care by professional of highest quality . The medical staffs are very courteuos and accommodating. Cannot ask for more, I highly recommend this medical rehab for customer looking the best Professional services.

Negative experience: This facility is one of the worst I have ever seen. My 93-year old mother was there for 5 weeks and came out much worse than when she went in. When she left, she could hardly walk and came out 15 lbs lighter. She went in for rehab and they only got her out of bed for therapy for one hour three times a week. The rest of the time she was left in bed and her legs atrophied. The food was horrible which contributed to my mother losing 15 pounds. She is diabetic and was put on a so-called "special" diet, however, they were giving her the fruity Ensure with a whopping 30 grams of sugar! We gave up and started purchasing the correct Ensure product with little to no sugar because they were clearly not providing her with the required diabetic menu. In addition, she made a simple request for a cup of hot water to prepare her own decaf instant coffee in the mornings and had to ask for days before they finally brought it to her in spite of my numerous phone calls to their management. It took a long time for an assistant to respond when my mother buzzed for assistance to use the restroom. Horrible experience, extremely poor care and not a place we will ever send a loved one to again.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff, super nice and their service is wonderful.

Negative experience: I was at this facility. They ignored me and left me to not see the light. My family rescued me after 8 days. But now i have open wound bed sore, I am anemic, i lost my ability to walk, or stand on my two feet and they didnt feed me. I have bones portruding from my chest, legs, arms and face. Its a long list of issues. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT THERE. 11/26/20

Negative experience: WINDSOR GARDENS CARE FACILITY HAS COVID PATIENTS AND THEY ARE NEGLECTING THEIR PATIENTS. Do not tkae your loved ones here. THEY ARE PURPOSELY NEGLECTING PATIENTS SPECIALLY FOR REHAB PURPOSES AND THEY DIDNT CARE TO FEED, BED SORES, within less than a week.

Negative experience: service is good and food looks good, but yesterday my grandma had to use the bathroom, so she called a nurse and my grandma said "i cant use the restroom when someone is in the restroom with me." so the nURSE JUST LEFT HER ROOM WHILE SHE WAS IN THE BATHROOM, WITH A CALL BUTTON THAT DIDNT WORK, ALL ALONE, AND WHEN MY UNCLE WENT TO VISIT HEr he found her on THE BATHROOM FLOOR. SHe said she felt dizzy and she fell. terrible staff. i love my grandma very much and i would cry if anything bad happened to her because she took care of me when i was a baby and i dont want to see her in pain. staff needs to be updated.

Positive experience: First week that family member is there. So far not impressed. Facility needs "rehabilitation". Staff is rude, not friendly. Needs EXTENSIVE training in empathy for patients and family of those patients. Only one nurse, Chasity, I believe has true care. Front desk staff need training in hospitality. Already ready for family member's release.

Negative experience: Substandard, unprofessional, penny pinching, place.

Fantastic experience: Windsor Rehab gave my Brother-law his life back. It put the fight to get back on his feet. My Mother was at Windsor and she passed away in 2005. They helped me mourn her death after she was gone. Our family loves the personal touch and extreme attention to detail on each individual case. Thank you to ALL the Staff Frances Doyal
