Fantastic experience: This is the best emergency room I have ever been to, and will be my go-to in the future if I ever have to go back - but hopefully not. :) I was immediately seen, treated with care and respect, and all of the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I was very impressed with how clean the facility was, and how quickly all operations flowed. Thank you very much! No complaints.

Negative experience: Second Friday in a row that I’ve rotted away at this ER. I’ve now spent 5 hours sitting here and have never been seen beyond triage. This is the worst emergency care I’ve ever experienced in my life and the only reason I fell for it a second time is my primary care is upstairs and they referred me. Even with the referral here I sit, and sit and sit. If you have a true emergency go somewhere else, please. This is embarrassing Cone Health

She has been in and out of hospitals and it has been a rough process however today we have been blessed with a great staff however specifically 2 nurses (Aunty nurse if u eva see this from e bottom a mi heart ty, because genuinely we did a run out a however fi find 2 angels like u self and u nurse in training was genuinely a blessing mi try call the department fi see if mi coulda get u name n dem neva record it n poor mi wife she no remember unnu name bc she did too excited fi tell me her experience from e er which is never a good time however somehow u find a way fi mek she comfortable wid a needle again but fr big up u self aunty ja nurse ) And for the nurse in training trust me that you will do great things as you continue ur journey to help people like my wife who needs that to extra tender love care skill and professionalism please take care of yourselves as you continue to take care of these people ❤️

It's shocking the stark difference between this emergency department and the one at the Moses Cone Hospital. This is the emergency room I will demand to go to from here on out.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here, I was seen promptly and I received excellent customer service. Kristy and Westin were absolutely wonderful! Kristy made sure I was extra comfortable and gave thorough answers to all of my many questions, she was so patient and kind. Westin made me laugh which I appreciated so very much. I can't say enough good things about these two, they made my experience very pleasant. Thank you Kristy and Westin!

Fantastic experience: We had to come to the ER at 3 o'clock in the morning with my 83-year-old mother who is bleeding. All of the staff was really helpful and nice. However, the outstanding person who gets 11 out of five stars is Kristi from the weekend ultrasound nurse. She was truly outstanding she fixed so many problems that we didn't even know we had. Helping me clean up my mom getting her a new gown, a pillow, warm blankets. Extremely kind and extremely knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: I came with my husband this morning at 7:30 with terrible vertigo, although it was very early everyone was very friendly . I want to thanks doctor Marcy Pfeiffer for her professionalism and knowledge . She was very thorough in her exam . Very nice team work a special thanks to Ema the nurse practitioner

Fantastic experience: I went in on a Sunday morning 8am and was out by 10am. My teenager had sprained her ankle. Nurses were very helpful, they engaged very well with her made her feel comfortable and less anxious.

Negative experience: My mom went to ER on 9/13/2024 with fever, chills, pulse 180, add head aches. She was in the ER for 8 hours and the doctors, PA and nurses didn’t do anything to help her. She was shaking with chills for 4 hours and nurse refused to give her warm blankets and any medicine to help her reduce fever and chills. After 4 hr they gave fever medicine after we demand it. We had to take my mom home without any diagnose or additional medication. We were extremely dissatisfied with the service and the nurse was extremely rude and cold. I would not go to this ER again and would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: They're fast and caring!

Negative experience: I have visited here many times which no issue until the other night. My 1 year old visited here the other night in pain crying, he wouldn’t drink or eat anything and he had bumps on his face, arms, legs etc. These “professionals” said there was nothing wrong with my son. They did not try to run any test and reiterated many times that he was fine. He left around 2 in the morning and as soon as his primary doctor office opened I took him there. They checked my child and confirmed he had hands, feet and mouth and tested positive on the rsv test. (Apologies if I named it wrong, I’m not a nurse). Be safe visiting this place because depending on the time you go there are certain ones that care less about the patients and there are others there that go above and beyond.

Fantastic experience: When I say I’ve been through it, that’s an understatement. I won’t go into detail, but my health hasn’t been good for several years now. But you need assurance you are getting the best care, come here. First, I can’t speak highly enough for Yvette. This tech has went above and beyond for my family for years. She brings hope, peace and love in every moment she’s around you. You know when she’s with you, everything’s going to be ok and she will do whatever it takes to help guide you to healing. Cindy, a nurse that has also spent multiple days with me here. Once again, another person that works tirelessly to put you and your health first and gives you the best care. Chris is another that has went above and beyond in care, making sure he is attentive and there for anything you need. I could write a novel on these three people alone, but the end result, you need great and outstanding care, key word being care, this is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: I was panicking like crazy and even cried in my mom’s lap in the lobby because I was so scared because of my symptoms, but the staff were so comforting, empathetic and caring they’re truly the best I’ve ever had. I had to go to the ER the first time and went to wesley long where my experience wasn’t as good, so when I had the same symptoms again I decided to come here and it was the best decision. PA Mariah Gowens took excellent care of me and she was so nice and kind, which I really appreciate because of my anxiety. The wait was a tad long but I can’t complain because I know they’re working as hard as they can. Please never change ❤️

Fantastic experience: I went to HP regional first and was told there was 7hr wait. I had been in a motorcycle accident so waiting wasn't an option. Came to cone health and was seen within 10min. Awesome staff and doctors. Ranette R was my RN and she helped clean the gravel out my arm and leg. The imaging staff was amazing aswell. This place is a hidden gem. This will be my place to come if ever needed again for sure.

Fantastic experience: I went to this facility on 06/08/24. These professionals have that team work you expect from a customer service place. They were extremely professional as well and patient friendly, the staff did not hesitate to help and accommodate the patients that were there waiting with great service. I came to this facility because I received service from another ER Hospital. I could not believe that these individuals think that it's all about them, (do not want to name). Their patient service is terrible it's as of only the numbers count and not the people, poor teamwork, that if you don't include exploring their own time on the phone, lingering around discussing what happened yesterday, while they were on vacation or whatever else besides working with patients. The Doctors and nurses at Come were very delightful it almost made me want to stay. For this to be a smaller facility they really understand what it is to do their Services. Thank you Everyone for making my visit a pleasant place. You all were WONDERFUL.

Negative experience: They don’t have a wait for a reason. They didn’t run the proper tests for my symptoms so my regular doctor had to send me back to different ER the next day to get proper scans and tests done.

Fantastic experience: I took my daughter here this evening after she injured her arm and the staff was absolutely amazing. I didn’t encounter a single person who wasn’t kind, thoughtful, and amazing at their job. They were the fastest of any ER I have ever been to, and without compromising the care received. I would take my children here anytime. Truly grateful for the compassionate and patient staff here, every last one of them! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Had to visit this facility due to a dirtbike accident on 2/3/2024. Was a very pleasant experience, under the circumstances. Jeri, Adrian and Yvette triaged me expeditiously and ensured my shoulder was stable and that I was comfortable (broken clavicle). Once I was placed in a room, my nurse Rachel was very polite, empathetic, and calm. I knew that I was in good hands. My night shift nurse, Natosha, exhibited the exact same qualities: polite, empathetic and calm. From Dr. Zackowski to the xray techs, I received excellent care. The facility was very clean and I just can't say enough about the positive exerience that I had.

Fantastic experience: All of my interactions with the nurses, PAs, and doctors here were great. They were all patient and kind, even though they were absolutely slammed with patients. I waited a very long time, but that is because people go to the emergency room for non-emergencies when they should go to an urgent care or primary care doctor. Wish there was something this hospital could do to fix this issue so that people who have real emergencies can be seen quicker.

Fantastic experience: I don’t ever leave a review but I just had a great experience. Went there yesterday for passing out while pregnant and the staff was so nice to me! Every single person was so sweet and helped me right away as soon as I got in there. After someone helped me, I did have to wait in the waiting room for about 40 minutes but there was quite a few people there for a Friday. I got an IV in for dehydration and they helped me leave the hospital fast. I’m so happy I decided to go there. Love the staff

Negative experience: I went there because I had cut my hand pretty badly the night before playing with my dog and thought it might need some stitches. My insurance has a $50 Copay for urgent care so I went to the "Emergency" side thinking that would cover it. I even asked the lady at check-in if it would and she said they would let me know at checkout. They took my temperature and blood pressure. They then told me they couldn't do stitches or surgical glue because it had been more than 8 hours since the cut and they didn't want to "trap any potential infection in", so they cleaned it, wrapped it, gave me the first dose of antibiotic and sent me to checkout. $1,200!!!??? To take my temperature and BP, clean and wrap a cut? No shot. No stitches. No antiseptic. They literally wrapped it and sent me home. The 1-star isn't just because of the cost (although that is ludicrous for what they did), but because they never gave me the slightest warning or clue that this was not "urgent care" and so would then need to fall into the deductible category. Had I known it was going to cost me $1,200 to have my hand wrapped, I never would have stayed.

Negative experience: Used to be one of the best emergency rooms. Definitely went down hill the past few years. Waited for hours just to be roomed and in severe pain. Do not recommend coming to this hospital.

Negative experience: The health department needs to inspect how nasty the waiting area is I went to use the rest room someone was laying in the floor passed out told the nurse she said will get to them when she has time this place gets 0 stars a and should be shut down

Fantastic experience: SUPER NICE PEOPLE, I LOVE THEM

Negative experience: The doctor didn’t care or address needs. Calling out an over the counter medication that is liver toxic and takes several days to provide relief of symptoms. And I just had liver transplant. He documented in chart that hear and lung sounds were normal when he did not even listen to heart or lungs. They were good at one time but not now.

Negative experience: This is the slowest hospital I've ever been to stayed 6 hours for them to tell us nothing it was longer to got to the restroom than when the doctor who act like he did not want to see us and the rude light skin lady nurse did not no her name did not even want to give a star but only way to write a review. This hospital if ur not bleeding to death or or a gunshot vick don't go here cause we will never go back .

Negative experience: I went in by ambulance, they didn’t know whether I was having a stroke or heart attack, had recently been hit by a car. They waited awhile while talking, then took my vitals- I sat outside for a couple hours before I got x-ray & cat scans. After about 7 hours of cold- I can’t take cold!!! I asked her how long before they called me? She said, The longest patient been here 16 hours so I don’t know what you doing up here? Your eta of seeing a Dr. Is 8:30 a:m: I got the hell out with no money at 1:45 in the morning, turned around went back got and over draft on my c card when I saw how dark & how far I had to walk. It’s not called ER- Energency Room- It’s called ER- Eternal Rest! Because you’ll die if you stay there, I don’t even know why they added all the extra rooms for? The service is the worse in N.C. Run don’t walk, back to your house, I’d rather die at home. Facts☑️

Negative experience: The Doctor don't care about the people that comes in for treatment. The only answer they have is follow up with your primary provider. If it was that simple people would not go there. Primary provider are booked up two and three months out. You can't even get a work in appointment. Then they want to charge for doing nothing but talking to you..

Negative experience: I was seen at the MedCenter a day ago I don’t know if they were short on nursing staff or room staff once they place me in a room I was in there and I was screeching in much pain. I had to call five times to ask if someone could please bring me a blanket And I thought that was rather mean because I really didn’t think that it would take that much for someone to bring a blanket to the room and I was in the pain that I was in but the check-in lady was nice the nurse that I had it was very nice did Doctor seem concerned, but some of the rest wasn’t so nice. Not sure if I’ll return there.

Negative experience: I went in to be treated last night. I was having symptoms of a uti or a kidney infection. And have been drinking nothing but water and cranberry juice for days and still my symptoms have gotten worse. My blood pressure was 228/116. They took my urine sample at 10:02. They were discharging me at 10:15 talking about my urine looks too clean for anything to be wrong. Hadn’t even sent it to the lab. They didn’t even address my blood pressure being so high til I said something. They discharged me then as I was walking out handed me a dose of blood pressure medication and a prescription for it. I won’t go back. Waste of time

Fantastic experience: I came to this emergency department because i was out of town visiting family and started getting sick. This is the best emergency department i have ever been to in my entire life. I come from the city….i was in absolute shock and amazement at this ER department and how friendly and great everything was. To everyone leaving 1 star reviews, they could have never been to an ER in the city in their life. If this is your closest ER you really need to appreciate this place because this is the best ER experience you can hope for. If you think this is one star? Try an emergency room in Philadelphia or Baltimore. You will change your tune quick LOL believe me! Thankful for all the staff/nurses/doctor for their compassionate care. Great job!

Fantastic experience: I have been to this ER 5 different times and have always been impressed with the level of care I have received. One of those times they actually saved my life for witch I am eternally grateful. Not only does every person who we have ever encountered there know what they are doing, but they all seem to be happy doing it. Cone Health MedCenter is NOT an emergency are clinic, it is am actually a full fledged EMERGENCY ROOM that has everything any hospital emergency room has. I would trust them to save me or any member of my family and I already have!

Negative experience: Disappointed, diagnosis was totally mistaken, this treatment was inadequate, we went back in the next two days and asked for an MD not a PA, after hours waiting, we got another PA who diagnosed wrong and treatment was wrong too. Finally got the appointment with PG and he corrected the mistakes. Needless to say, it cost us longer unresolved big health issues, time and money. Will not go there again.

Fantastic experience: I give this place 5 stars. I went in for chest pain, they got me back in a hurry in room. I had never been to a hospital so fast as this. I didn't even stay long. Most hospitals don't give u meds if something wrong but they did. The nurses and doctor were all nice and listen to my health concerns. I would recommend this place. I will be going back if I get pain again Great job to all the staff, nurses and doctors.

Fantastic experience: Went in today because I had an asthma attack. They didn't ask a bunch of questions before being seen I feared having to wait while my asthma got worse but nope. Quickly treated me got me breathing better in no time. I'm thankful for the nursing staff and the PA who came in fully ready to shun me for not having a regular doctor ( I do) but she did it because she cared and she was unaware. All in all this is the only er I go too. Thank you to the staff of Moses Cone Med center ER, you quite literally saved my life <3

Fantastic experience: Sadly, my son experiences migraine headaches that cannot be resolved at home. We went to this ED on Saturday, 4/8, and last night, 4/10-11, and we could not be happier with the care he received! Triage happened quickly, and the nurses were so pleasant and reassuring. When you go to an ED, and the waiting room is full, you have to expect to wait—that’s reality. But the response and attention once we got back to a treatment room were second to none. He has VERY small veins, and even when they had to call for ultrasound to locate one, she was there in two minutes! Genie was so friendly and reassuring—loves her job and has been with Cone for 35-years—such a ray of sunshine at 2am when he was in pain. I wish I could remember the name of our nurse and doctor…but I’m old, and it was late. I hope we don’t have to go back, but if we need emergency services again, this is now our place of choice! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: Brought my husband in for a serious nosebleed, due to spiked blood pressure. We were seen immediately. Very competent, caring, compassionate staff. Highly recommend this ER and send compliments to the staff.

Negative experience: Once of their offices set me to collections over missed appointments that I cancelled.

Negative experience: If i could leave negative stars i would. Don’t come to this place at all. The staff don’t care about helping patients they laughing all loud at the nurses stations. They where supposed to give me a Pee test to check my kidneys but that never happen. Last but not least not to mention the triage nurse ask me twice did i have any weapons on me. And that honestly made me feel some type of way. I know it’s protocol but still what makes you feel comfortable with asking me the same question twice. Just an overall bad experience came in there feeling sick and left feeling more sick and angry. I don’t recommend this place at all just an unnecessary medical bill.

Fantastic experience: Fast service and clean facility. They took good care of me and my father-in-law, as well. The staff all seemed to be caring and mindful of their patient's needs.

Negative experience: Sitting in the waiting room for 4 hrs with chest pain and body aches and shortness of breath. I was just here two weeks ago about chest pain. I was given a bandaid called Meloxicam that only made my chest pain worst. They don’t care and they do more giggling then working. The worst place to go to and I should of notice when it’s 2.1 star. My mom is a lawyer &’ a lawsuit will be in works. &’ my 400k followers on my social platforms will know as well.

Negative experience: Incompetent!! Brought in a friend who is having symptoms of an ovarian cyst which have lasted over 24 hours. Have been waiting (outside!) while she sits inside alone and vomits for nearly 5 hours. Fire alarm has gone off twice since we got here. Just went in to ask what's going on and they assured it wouldn't be much longer because they had just taken her vitals. They waited 5 HOURS to take vitals on a woman who was shaking vomiting and couldn't walk unassisted. Idiots!! Update: after 6 HOURS they still hadn't taken her back and she decided she wanted to go home. Then i found out they hadn't allowed her any water or ice chips, she was dehydrated and in so much pain and they did nothing but make it worse. My friend received a $400 bill for this "care" despite never leaving triage and being given NO medical attention aside from a vitals check.

Negative experience: Very rude at reception.... went in with my partner and was told I couldn't wait in waiting room. But could go in when called. He went in and nurse approved my coming in but front desk wouldn't let me. Waiting time was also excessive. There are other places to use that would be friendlier and quicker service. Don't recommend!!
