Matt has been a resident of Huntsville for over thirty years. He graduated from Grissom High School in 1989 and then went on to get his bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology from Auburn University in 1993. After that, he moved to Mobile, Alabama, to get his physical therapy degree, which he completed in 1998. Finally, he came back to the Huntsville/Madison area, where he had been living since 1980.

Matt started his career as a physical therapist in a private clinic, then moved on to a successful period at the largest hospital in Huntsville. His most recent job was as the director of physical therapy for the city's largest orthopaedic group, where he opened five physical therapy clinics. After seven years in this role, Matt decided to pursue his ambition of owning his own physical therapy practice. He wanted to keep the practice small and accessible, as he had enjoyed the close relationships he had with patients in a smaller setting. Additionally, the fact that he had grown up in southeast Huntsville made him even more enthusiastic to open his business in his hometown.

Matt enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and watching football. He finds great satisfaction in helping people with physical therapy and is ecstatic when he sees his patients making progress and succeeding!

Michelle's decision to pursue a career in Physical Therapy was motivated by her enthusiasm for both science and communication, as well as her desire to help others. Before joining the team at Mandeville Physical Therapy & Wellness, Inc. in 2013, she studied a variety of subjects at Wallace State, the University of Central Florida, and the University of Alabama in Huntsville, beginning with degrees in English and Biology. Afterwards, she was awarded a Physical Therapy Assistant degree and certified as a licensed and board-certified physical therapy assistant (LPTA).

Michelle's interest in physical therapy sparked her curiosity about the biomechanics of people with different ailments, which she further studied in her Master's degree in Biology with the help of biotechnology. This has prompted her to pursue a PhD and she is now actively engaged in research in kinesiology and biomechanics.

She has enjoyed her time teaching at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and serving as a clinical instructor in the clinic, where she has been able to share her knowledge and provide guidance to pre-physical therapy students.

In her free time, Michelle focuses her energy on her family, participating in activities such as travelling, running, cycling, mountain climbing, and attending her daughter's dance performances.

Instead of applying a generic approach with pre-programmed plans, personalized treatment can be given by tailoring each session to the individual requirements of the patient. The Alter-G treadmill is a great resource for aiding patients to walk and assess their posture, gait, etc.

After my second knee surgery, I was looking for a place with people who could not only help my knee heal properly, but also work with me one-on-one. Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating. If my knee was feeling too strained, they were understanding and worked with it in ways I had never imagined. I liked it so much that even after my physical therapy was complete, I still go to the same place for exercise and to see all the friendly and familiar faces I had grown to know.

I am so fortunate to have selected Mandeville PT following three surgeries. The personnel were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, considerate, caring, and sympathetic. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the care I received was! I highly recommend them.

I am thankful for the short trip, the close by parking, but most of all for the kindness, knowledge, and atmosphere. The equipment seems to be brand new, and the space is spotless... it would be worth taking a look at it before starting the long drive north.

In addition to the convenience of being just one street away from Highway 231/Memorial Parkway, our building has ample parking right at the entrance and is easily accessible.
