Negative experience: I chose SERC Physical Therapy because I have used this company in the past for needed physical therapy. I mentioned that when I was here last time the therapist changed on every visit and I would rather have the same therapist throughout my prescription my doctor ordered Well that didn’t happen this time, and the original therapist will be out of work and I depended on her professionalism that she showed. I am thinking of letting my Doctor know I should move my orders somewhere else. If I have a therapist on my next visit that is not familiar with me and my needs. The only reason that would keep me there, is to allow the original therapist I had from the beginning to complete my therapy. Actually I have been to other companies and I would like to say your Therapist are very good no complaints

Fantastic experience: This review is on behalf of my grandmother. She has been seeing Cory Stattelman at SERC Physical Therapy for about a month now and she won’t stop raving about the results. This is what she had to say: Cory is very professional, attentive, carrying, and he knows his job. Prior to my meetings with Cory, I was struggling to walk with a cane. I couldn’t move my leg, I was in constant pain, and I couldn’t sleep due to the discomfort and pain in my hip, knee, and leg. At last I decided to try physical therapy. I was very sceptical going in. After a few visits, however, I was shocked with the results! Working with Cory and doing the exercises he suggested made me feel much better! I am able to walk without a cane again! Fantastic experience: This is my 2nd round of therapy with THIS Sercs Therapy Location. I always have received the Absolute Best care needed to get me back to 100% and back to normalcy. I would recommend this facility for the best support and physical therapy care team available.

Fantastic experience: In June of 2022, I broke my left shoulder. I was unable to do the simplest of things - like dress myself, tie my shoes and use a knife to cut my food. When I was allowed to go to SERC for physical therapy. I was discouraged and a little depressed. Everyone at SER was so kind and caring! In a few visits I began to see improvement and am now totally independent once again. I am so glad I chose SERC to help me recover.

Negative experience: Even with good insurance these people will charge you between $865-1,000 for an unspecified number of visits. Hey you can get the same advice and exercises from You Tube for Free! PT here is a scam!

Fantastic experience: Cannot thank Sara and Darin enough! I was having a lot of pain and difficulty moving. They were both so supportive and helpful, kind but firm enough to make me realize what l was capable of doing. Tiffany is a sweetheart. The facility was very, very clean. All of the staff was very friendly and welcoming! If l need physical therapy in the future l know where l want to go!

Fantastic experience: So thankful. They've helped me to feel good about my PT. I've recovered proper use and the strength and motivation to believe that I can heal. They have a nice atmosphere, usually some music, drinking water, restroom. Everyone tried to be accessible, even when though you're working one on one. They assess before and after. Including how I do after I leave. They are serious about clients healing process, but so no e and encouraging.

She helps me to push myself farther and I am getting stronger more quickly than I could have imagined. I will sing your praises to anyone who will listen! Fantastic experience: SERC was the best PT experience I'VE ever had. The Staff are amazing Friendly, knowledgeable,& supportive. My knee (tibial plateau fx) was very painful & slow healing. The staff put together a treatment plan & had me doing balance & movement I never thought I'd do again. As everyone has said, they gave me my life back. This is an amazing place. If you or anyone you know needs therapy go here. My best friend reminded me she had gone there and completely recovered from her injury. I wish I could give them 10 stars.

Fantastic experience: Hello. Had a knee replacement in March. Had 2 weeks of in home therapy and needed 4 weeks of out patient therapy. I had asked a few friends and family were did they go. I looked up those places and didn’t have good results. So I googled. Found SERC with 5 STARS!! It was within blocks of my home. I’m so very lucky to have picked this place as my out patient therapy. EVERYONE is Exceptional!!!!!! I love love my Sydney and Rowan, even tho I call her Jennifer half the time. They truly care about me, it’s not just a robot job and they go thru the motions. They encourage me daily, we have fun, I look forward to going. Who can say that? No one wants to do a workout when you are in pain!!! There is not enough nice things I could say about this place or my PT ladies!! It’s clean, it’s so homey feeling. They make me feel like family! Fantastic experience: After I wrote a cup surgery on my right shoulder I found out I had to have physical therapy and my thoughts were ugh!! But after my 1st visit to Serc physical therapy independent square my thoughts change completely. The entire staff, from the reception girls at the front desk to every therapist in the building they made me feel at ease and comfortable and more like a friend than a patient. They call you by your 1st name. They take the time and patience to treat your injury as needed to get you back on your feet and out the door to live a normal life again. Fantastic experience: The staff at SERC are all amazing to work with. I came in the first day really concerned and not wanting anyone to touch my foot. Sara worked with me since day 1. She helped me deal with my anxiety I had with my foot injury. I feel like the goals I set for myself was completely met. Sara was patient and understanding when I expressed concerns. She answered any questions I had and helped me get back to where I wanted to be. I also had the chance to work with Ashley and Rowan also. They were absolutely wonderful. Fantastic experience: I had my stroke in 1979 which resulted in left side paralysis and consequently my balance is compromised. Initially I was treated at a facitly in Dallas Tx. that had State of the Arts therapists and technolgy. Over the years, depending on the fall as well as the injury I have been to numerous facities and I have been trated by a wide variety of therapists. But I have to say the treatment I received at Serc in Independence Mo was more then awesome. What I liked was that at this point in my life I learned ways to make my body not hurt sooo bad WITHOUT pain meds. I was taught things I can do myself at home with absolutely no assistance. I really did not expect this because I did not figure such a small place in such a small town would make me feel do much better and teach me how to maintain this level. Another thing I liked was the fact that all of the staff. paid attention to areas I was challenged with and made adjustments to fix the problem areas swiftly and effectively. Sarah Arnold was my therapist but I felt that all of the staff was excellent Serc literally helped me get my life back on track. Sarah is by far the very best therapist I have ever had.

Fantastic experience: I had bilateral knee replacement surgery 2 months ago. SERC physical therapy was recommended by the home health nurse. I requested an appointment on line Thanksgiving day, and was promptly called the following morning. I met with my physical therapist Sara and she changed my entire world in a few short weeks. I can do anything now. She whipped me into shape and my new knees are way better than the originals. The girls are wonderful, but make you work hard . I would recommend SERC physical therapy hands down to anyone. I got my life back!

Fantastic experience: SERC Physical Therapy was definitely a professional and enjoyable environment. The staff all took good care of me and greatly improved my flexibility. Brett was my main Physical Therapist and he was a blast to interact with, despite my quiet days. Tiffany is the receptionist and always tried to make me smile everyday, which she did succeed. Hannah was just as professional and caring as Brett, and did good the times I was in her care. I didn't interact much with Ashley but I can tell she's just as devoted and caring as everyone else. All in all, I highly enjoyed this experience and the journey to graduating. Thank you all :)

Fantastic experience: I am 65 years old and I was sent to Serc by my orthopedic surgeon for partial rotator cuff tears. I had pain even sitting or walking, and it often woke me up at night. I had extreme pain performing everyday tasks and activities. After four months I have 100% range of motion and only occasionally have slight pain lifting heavy things. Most of the time I am pain free. As I continue exercises at home I expect to continue to improve. My therapist, Ashley, was professional and I felt like she really listened to me and tailored my therapy to work on the movements that were causing me pain. She offered many ways to do the exercises at home with everyday items since no one has all the physical therapy equipment at their home. Everyone else I interacted with or observed at Serc was friendly and welcoming, I highly recommend therapy at this location.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Serc physical Therphy. In April i broke my leg at the knee. Could hardly put weight on it. My dr. recommended them the one on the Indep Square. After three and half weeks i am know walking without a walker or cane. Brett is the best ! He is very thorough and listens to your every need. Thanks Brett i have my life back. Fantastic experience: Brett helped me with my second hip surgery for a torn labrum and he was amazing! He listened to my goals which were to be able to successfully pass my PT test for the military! He went above and beyond for me and is the best physical therapist I’ve had to date (I’ve had many, my hips have had a lot of issues). I live about an hour away now but wish I could go back to him so bad after my most recent surgery last week! I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone! He has so much knowledge and helps to push you to achieve the best quality of life after physical therapy!

Fantastic experience: I had total knee surgery on both knees and revision total knee surgery on both. So, that means I had physical therapy 4 times. Twice at one location, once at another and the forth at Serc. All locations had a friendly staff. Out of the (4) four I liked this location the best not only because of the friendly staff but because of the smaller space in which was utilized for the therapy sessions. By saying that, it gave me a closer sense of being able to hear and communicate with all the staff members. I also felt that my therapist was more hand on with manipulations then all the other locations. In which that made me feel he really knew what was going on with my knee by that touch. In doing that it made me feel more confident that he helped me the most of all the four. Physical therapy is something you must do to get your strength and your confidence that you can walk alone again. If you like the smaller space area, friendly staff and home away from home feeling this is the location for you. Great job to everyone there keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: Brett is very knowledgeable and has helped me make great strides towards my goal of getting my range of motion back and getting back to work. He listens to me when I explain how something is bothering me and he works with me towards improving the problem. The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating to your individual needs.

Fantastic experience: I was in therapy for 15 months with Hannah. I knew nothing about pelvic floor therapy when I was referred, but Hannah was more than happy to answer all my questions about every little thing. When we reached a plateau, Hannah and Brett suggested dry needling. Again, knowing nothing about it, they explained it all to me. It worked! I wouldn't be able to function my normal activities without their persistence on finding relief for me. I can not fail to mention Mindy, who always greets you with a smile and calls you by name. Hannah became like family to me and if I needed help again, I would definitely return.

Fantastic experience: I had to have physical therapy after a hip replacement and now for some neck and headache issues. I found that this is a very close family and they're incredibly caring people. They make the time spent there quite enjoyable as you learn to heal, a stress free environment for sure. The patients that come and go are all happy so you feel the good vibe all around!
