Negative experience: The comments you see below are ALL LIES . Let’s start when you first enter the building The building smells like decompose human & unattainable odor of urine . The building needs to be remodeled & the patient’s rooms need renovation. The staff that suppose to be taking care of your family is the ones going against HIPPA & exploding them on the internet . Patient medication & care plans not being accompanied just poor effort . I wish i could be more of help for the community but this Nursing home is a NIGHTMARE !!!!! Do reconsider your options. If i could give them a 0 i would have.

Negative experience: These people are very unprofessional and not taking care of the patients my father in law has a blk eye a big dash on head and a cut in his face . Which are old and they lied said it just happened they never contacted the family about his injuries. Once we found out then they tried to cover their tracks and then made a call . The nurse manager was laughing with the employees telling my daughter they were going to trespass her for questioning them about his injuries. Please over look this nursing home when picking a home for your love ones. Even the the nurses are rude and disrespectful .. I wish I could post pictures of his injuries. Then he is scared they might hit him

Negative experience: If I could give a Zero I would. Run to a different nursing home. All these false reviews on the same day they ask the employees to do. All the workers attitude are nasty nobody wants to answers questions or help this the same nursing from that fb post ask anyone I regret having a family member her look at the dates of the reviews this place is a scam and I will be reporting to the board of nursing!!! I will not stop this need news coverage

Negative experience: All these blatantly fake reviews, given by "employees" all at the same time of 4 to 5 days ago... When people look at the reviews of a place it's not to see the "employees" reviews it's to see how the family of the residents feel about the place. First off there is nothing clean smelling about the place. The nurses or wanna be nurses are few and far between having the residents lay in their beds for hours in dirty diapers causing UTIs and sepsis infections. They leave the residents in their beds all day long and only take them out of the bed if they feel like it. They go behind your back and cancel medical appointments for your love ones that stay there and they also sneak the residents out of the facility and take them to doctors that they have working for them. They won't even tell you that they have done so, you have to find out from your family member cause they are confused and they don't know where they went or why they went. They only do that so that you can't keep tabs on what is going on medically with them. My mom has to go to the hospital at least every 3 mths due to either UTIs that they let get out of hand or due to her having sepsis (had to stay for almost 2 Weeks in the hospital twice for that). If we could get our mom out of there and get her into a better place we would, as of right now we are on a very long waiting list to get out of there.

Negative experience: OmG,the place very badly I visited a brother thats in my church it was on a sunday on the first floor he had been in siting in his pee and poo tryed to fine one No one to be found,I am a CNA we wasn't trained to take care of our patients because it could be US in that bed waiting to be change.Thank about the that treat them wrong ,weekend patients got to wait on the nurses and CNA.Who train those people........someone who care about older people's their day is coming ‍♂️‍♂️

Negative experience: This is the worse place to put your love one… They have unprofessional LPN’s CNa’s , and administration this place need to be shut down completely… They let my granddaddy pass away and didn’t even call or give any sympathy or any clarity on what really happen to him … All we know he pass way at 630 am so they say… I do believe he pass away before then but no one went in to check on him until around that time which is so sad … He was not the first person to pass way like that, it’s many more patients that experience the something… He had a roommate for 3 days that pass away with no clarity on what really happen to him either , and the CNA wanted to keep it a secret and not tell my granddaddy cause she knew what happen to his roommate they was the cause of his death … I pray my comment reach somebody that really have authority to shut this place down or get a new team of employees that really care about people love ones…It wasn’t not one employee that care about the patients they are working for the money that’s it , and the older ladies need to retire they are always complaining about the patients like it’s a burden on them… The only reason they got a one star is because i couldn’t post my comment without it…

Negative experience: This is the worst nursing home I’ve ever seen. My mother constantly called me telling me that they’re not doing their job. They’re sleeping all the time. These are the worse employees I have ever seen in my life and a one star rating is very generous. unfortunately, I live out of town and my mom will not come to my city and I’m forced to use this horrible place shaking my head

Negative experience: This place is a scam, trying to commit fraudulent activities. I have ask them numerous of time to stop trying to contact my father who is over 80 yrs with an invoice of an unknown person in the amount of $2778.94. When contacted the business the phone receptionist was very rude and played crazy and hung up in my face. They should not be doing elderly people like this. This needs to STOP!!!! I have contacted the BBB.

Negative experience: I was being generous with this one star. I was there in 2016 and they treated me very badly. The rehab workers were good to me but the nursing was terrible. If I hadn't gotten out of there when I did I could have died.

Negative experience: This Facililty has a HIGH STAFF TURNOVER! Contract CNA'S and Nurses on staff that care NOTHING about the patients well being only there for a check! They are lazy and rude to the residents! You can never get the business office to answer the phone for billing inquires or to simply just make payment. I suggest you do your research before trusting MANHATTAN WITH YOUR LOVED ONES ESPECIALLY LONGTERM CARE‼️⚠️‼️⚠️‼️⚠️‼️

I have been employed here for a month as the Director of Human Resources and love it here! The benefits are great and the company is extremely supportive. I am truly blessed to work with such an awesome team!

Fantastic experience: My mother went to Manhattan for rehab after a hip fracture.From day one we were very pleased with the care and therapy she received. The social worker, therapist, and nurses call with updates and changes that were taking place. We had conference calls to update and I was always asked if I had any questions or concerns.With the covid policies in place, they were my connection to my mother. I was able to talk to my mother via portable phone that the staff would take to her when I called. Manhattan showed compassion and care for us. I trusted them with her care and they didn't let me down. In fact, they performed beyond my expectations. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Manhattan Nursing & Rehab Center for your loved one based on our experience.

Negative experience: In 2015 the facility not only killed my mother, allowed her to use her credit card to buy pizzas for the nurses, but helped her drug addict, depraved sister Portia Chapman and alcholic brother Murray Chapman, steal money from her while she was a resident , stole her keys from her purse while she was dying and robbed her home while she was in hospice care before I could get back to MS and passed away. The social worker Angelica Bilbro (AN UNLICENSED SOCIAL WORKER ACCORDING TO THE STATE BOARD) is EVIL and she allowed this to happen because she worked with my mother's drug addict sister who is a known thief in Jackson, MS. I hope Angelica Bilbro suffers the same pain that she caused me. Like someone said in a previous post, the director of the facility, Bobby Blackard, IS THE DEVIL. I live in NC and returned back home after helping my mother move into this facility for a 90 day stay. I was returning back to MS in a few weeks to help my mother move back into her home. Although I was in constant contact with Angelica Bilbro, and begged her not to allow my mother to have cash because of her drug addict sister visiting her for money, she and my mother's sister plotted against me to rob my mother and her home after she died. My mother's entire home was cleared out overnight by my mother's drug addict thief sister Portia Chapman and brother Murray Chapman after I got the call about my mother's passing and while I was in the process of returning back to MS. As my mother's only child the pain of her passing and the robbery of her home at the same time made the grief unbearable. Because of Angelica and Bobby and my mom's drug addict thief sister, it has complicated my grief. PLEASE DO NOT PLACE YOUR RELATIVE HERE!!

Fantastic experience: Manhattan is a wonderful nursing & rehab facility with a very caring and dedicated staff

Negative experience: Below is a brief description of my problem regarding my father while in short term rehabilitation at Manhattan Nursing & Rehab Jackson MS I had recommendations from others that were incorrect, Do your due diligence and save your family member from danger at this facility. There needs to be an investigation of this facility so that overmedication, neglect and malpractice does not continue to almost KILL unnecessary victims that are not able to speak for themselves or do not have the assistance to do so. This is a major problem and should not have happened, we now are in a situation ONLY because of the negligence of this facility. My father whom was in their care NOT for sickness but rehabilitation. Their lack of neglect on the RN Director D. and Doctor F. did not routinely check bloodwork and maintaining communication caused an overmedication of potassium which ultimately poisoned my father causing cardiac arrest and almost kindney failure. Lucky to have our life and in ICU recovering.

Negative experience: If I could give no star that would be more like it! This is a terrible place to put your loved ones. The staff is terrible and they talk to the residents any kind of way! The administration is very unprofessional and that Bobby Blackard is the devil. That lady only cares about dollar signs and not the patients! They only care if you contribute thousands of dollars! I do not recommend this facility at all!

Negative experience: The therapy department is top notch. The residential aspect was a nightmare. Terrible CNA's. Call buttons have no vocal response. 30 minute wait at least once you hit the button. Bad attitudes. No one cares about the patient. The nurses try but they are not supported by management and CNA's aren't nice to them. Food was inedible most days. It was traumatic for my mom during her 100 days of rehab. One person running a two person lift. Rules broken left and right. It was filthy. DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY MEMBER THERE UNLESS IT IS FOR SHORT-TERM rehab.

Negative experience: The Therapy Department treated my mom amazingly, and really helped in her recovery. The Nursing staff, especially the 11-7 crew, hindered my mom's recovery, and sent her back to the hospital three times in the three weeks she was at the facility. I cannot recommend this facility for short term or long term stay at this time.

Negative experience: The Therapy Department is top notch. If they offered therapy on an outpatient basis, I would highly recommend it. The problem is the Nursing staff, and its director. The nursing caused my mother-in-law to have three surgical procedures for the three weeks she was staying at the facility, in order to repair damage that was done to the feeding tube by the night time nursing staff. My mother-in-law's concerns fell on deaf ears, when she tried to talk to the Director of Nursing about these issues.
