Fantastic experience: I went in for PT with severe neck and back pain. JT helped me get better through varied treatments depending on how the muscles responded. He discussed and explained the causes of pain patiently and then treated it using his thorough knowledge. He customised the exercises and tried to find the root cause of the pain. I would highly recommend this physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: Jonathan is everything that you would expect from a PT - professional, knowledgeable, considerate, caring, invested, and overall a great human being. After tearing my Achilles, I was looking for a good PT. The recommendations were consistent: Jonathan Zaid. He’s been around for a while now. He built the Ivy Rehab / Excel practice in Hoboken (check out the massive reviews he has in that location). About a year ago, he moved to JC to build that practice. With his help and guidance, I was able to recover from a full Achilles tear without a surgery (!). Yes it’s possible, with the right PT protocol, and the right therapist. I worked with Jonathan for over 6 months, twice a week, in which I have gone from crutches to standing, to walking and then running - all through PT. He was fully invested in me, guided me and paid attention to the small details. We also spent time talking about lots of other things and bonding. I highly recommend Jonathan. Look no further, you’ll be in great hands.

Fantastic experience: I went to Excel Physical Therapy for my back pain. I got excellent treatment from JT. JT was very attentive and customized my workouts at every step to gradually increase my core and back strength. I am currently pain free. I highly recommend this place for physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: Tore my MCL while training Jiu Jitsu in February of 2024. Thought it would take me a full year to heal and get back in shape. The trainers at Excel Physical Therapy, specifically Jonathan Zaid and JT Singh, took very good care of me, and put together a program that was mindful of my injury, but allowed me to get stronger. I was back in my pre-injury shape within 6 months. Would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been under Excel’s care for exactly 11 months today and counting and could write a novel about how amazing my experience has been so far. The team as a whole and the individual Physical therapists and assistants make this facility stand out. I’ve had shoulder , and knee injuries in the past but my experience at Excel has been top tier. All work well and together to make your plan of recovery as productive as possible from start to finish . It’s really love to see and experience. It’s wonderful to create a relationship with your individual therapist as well and know how your progress is tracked is motivating . The energy is amazing and for me personally , It feels like I’m in the care of family , friends and knowledgeable professionals all wrapped into one . I know I’m in good hands and the goal post is always within reach . Recovering from 3 simultaneous surgeries is difficult but the expertise and care demonstrated at Excel/ivy rehab makes each session something I look forward 3x a week and motivates me to keep striving onwards not only for my self but for them as well . It’s a team effort and I really appreciate not feeling alone during the recovery process . They prepared me pre-surgery and listen to my limits and celebrate wins post surgery . My sessions are the highlight of my day and I when we have difficult days they are supportive and encouraging and empathic. On great days there are big smiles and high fives . I always learn something new and they answer all of my curious questions. I have a long way to go but I couldn’t imagine recovering anywhere else with anyone else . The entire team is amazing. They treat all of their patients this way and really care about what they do it’s evident . When healing , an environment like this is paramount both mentally and physically. BEST hands down ! Happy 11th month and I’m looking forward to hitting the year milestone with you all !

Fantastic experience: I have spent the last year rehabbing with Excel Physical Therapy in Jersey City. I have had the opportunity to work with both Ilija and Jonathan and they have been so helpful. They are encouraging and listen to my needs. I highly reccomend coming to this location. The staff and facilities are great!

Fantastic experience: I have been a frequent flyer of physical therapy due to numerous ailments, so I know a good clinic when I see one. Excel is one such example. Jonathan has been a kind, supportive PT for me through one of my most pressing injuries after a string of very difficult events in my life, and he has been vital in helping me feel physically and mentally well again. Fantastic experience: I tore my ACL skiing end of March 2023. There is no way I would be back on the ski slopes less than 1 year later without the talented and caring physical therapists at Excel, in particular Ilija Bubalo! Ilija pushed me to rebuild my leg strength and full knee mobility safely and with rapid progression. His deep knowledge, caring, encouragement, reassurance and confidence in my progress made a huge difference in achieving my goal to be able to ski again this season. Ilija, I am so very grateful to you! I have also had the pleasure of working with several other therapists at Excel, all of whom I have found to be caring, excellent physical therapists who really know their stuff!

Fantastic experience: My first visit this morning - Was excited to get help with my shoulder. Could not even work on my shoulder, sign-in ipad kept crashing, name was mis-spelled on insurance form. Staff tried to help which was a plus, but they don’t know their system Update: A few hours later, I spoke to the director and he set up time with me and was very patient and competent. Will be returning.

Fantastic experience: My wife has been experiencing pain in her right foot because of a partial tear in her PTT. For several months, she couldn't walk and was told by a doctor that she would need surgery. Fortunately, Jonathan Zaid and his team have done a fantastic job helping my wife get back on her feet. Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jonathan Zaid and Excel Physical Therapy. I’ve dealt with numerous injuries during my fitness journey and every time Jonathan has answered the call. From minor issues like inflammation in the knee to bigger problems like a torn labrum, he will always have a protocol to help. I was able to rehab my torn labrum back to full health when I was told by multiple doctors I would need surgery if I ever wanted full function again. I have Jonathan and Excel to thank for that!

His in-depth knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics -- along with his forward-thinking treatment plans -- helped me to not just re-build strength after a surgery but to forge a stronger, more resilient me. He took the time to thoroughly evaluate my condition and truly understand my goals, then created a custom program tailored to my specific needs. Another really important note is that Ilija personally lifts weights, which means he was able to provide a true strength training component that added a powerful extra dimension to my treatment program!

Negative experience: Been experiencing back pain and absolutely no point of going to excel therapy. Not worth it. Also feel like the entire service build the way to get most money out of you.

Positive experience: The physical therapy here is super..Amanda is great. Their billing department on the other hand...bill after bill after bill of dates that were already paid for and when you call they say oh no you didn't pay for that and then try to make some weird excuses as to why you owe hundreds of dollars... I pay every bill the second I get it and for some reason keep getting bills for dates that were months and months ago that were settled months and months ago mysteriously not settled anymore. Additionally, they billed me for a date I didn't get any service at all bc the physical therapist was running an hour late (as in not even physically in the building) and they didn't tell me until I showed up (way to be professional, guys) and I didn't have time to wait another hour so I left...still received a 100% bill on that one. That was also super frustrating bc the receptionist was all "I tried to call you" and when I informed her I didn't receive any voicemail, the response was " I didn't leave one". How the hell would I know not to come if you didn't leave a voicemail saying that? The incompetence here was so frustrating. Super scammy, although I loved Amanda, I couldn't recommend dealing with this. What a headache. Hey- Excel, send me one more bill and I'll be reporting you for fraud.

Fantastic experience: Oron was incredibly helpful! Not only did he help me prepare for the NYC marathon (and complete it) but he also helped me with the painful recovery due to a foot injury. The group here is incredibly professional, intelligent, and friendly! Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I receive Personalized attention from my physical therapist to ensure that I am progressing nicely . I am confident that shoulder surgery will not be necessary . The facility is great. It’s clean with high ceilings, plenty of natural light and good equipment .
