Fantastic experience: I’ve been here twice now as part of a 3x visit Groupon deal, and I cannot adequately express my gratitude toward the hospitality and expertise displayed at the Center for Joint and Spine Relief. I’ve had back pain on and off for years, I’ve been to myriad chiropractors, and I’ve never gotten more than a glorified massage and a slap on the back to send me on my way. I was skeptical about doing this song and dance over again, but Dr. Shawn McKay is so far the ONLY back/spine specialist I’ve ever been to who not only diagnosed why I’ve been in pain, he also gave me helpful tips, stretches, and verifiable data to support his diagnosis. (One of my legs is shorter than the other due to a hip displacement which has been the cause of my pain—no other chiropractor has ever noticed this or thought to mention it to me.) As for the reviews saying the front desk staff is rude or unhelpful, there must’ve either been a staff turnover at some point or these reviewers have been falling into an alternate reality, because Tanairi and the rest of the CFJSR staff have been nothing but warm and accommodating to me. (I only found out about the Groupon because Tanairi told me!) TL;DR If you live in the Downtown Jersey City area and you’ve been on the fence about seeking help for you back pain/joint issues/spinal problems, PLEASE do yourself a favor and go here.

Negative experience: They really need to get an elevator put in here. They have people with injuries walking down a full flight of stairs, it's a lawsuit just waiting to happen. The doctors are very nice and very good at this place.

Fantastic experience: Dr Shawn Mccay changed my life! My first visit to him he recommended i sleep on a different type of pillow for my neck pain I’ve had for years…. Ever since then i am neck pain free. Seriously such a relief. And the entire staff is so friendly as well! Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient here on and off for almost 2 years. I’ve been able to excuse the rude phone etiquette with whomever handles the phones, the dirty look of the office and the unprofessional manner at which patients are handled by the front desk because Dr. McKay is very nice and has been helpful with my ailments. Today will be the last day I will be a patient. The young lady at the front desk spent the entire time I was waiting flirting with a patient standing at the front desk. Both were unmasked, although there is a sign that clearly says masks required and she was coughing my entire visit and not covering her mouth at all. In the midst of a pandemic I do not feel safe going here when health standards are ignored in a medical office.

Negative experience: After being very rude when trying to schedule and claiming they had zero flexibility they proceed to cancel the appt less then 30 min before it started and pretended thats how normal business works. No warning no respect for clients time, will never go back DO NOT GO HERE

Negative experience: Staff gives attitude. Large demands for personal information and DMV license for getting a message. Bad experience. Only recieved 45 minutes of a 60 minute message.

Negative experience: Had many issues with getting massage using groupon. First they didn't have a massage person at Woodbridge location and wanted me to pay a $30 fee for the massage in addition to the price of the groupon. Then I was offered obtain massage at the Jersey City location which is not at all near by. I arrive and there are several pages of information to complete as in a doctors office of very private information and demand a copy of your motor vehicle license or will not provide massage. The 60 min. massage was only 45 minutes and it was good. Staff person initially had attitude.

Negative experience: This Maria that answers the phone is very rude!! She yells at the customer and hangs up on the customer!! So unprofessional!!

Negative experience: Waited 3 weeks for the apointment today and they called me within an hour of the appointment to say that they had to cancel because they double booked it. Then they tried to schedule me for Woodbridge on the 11th. Luckily i spoke to them at Woodvridge and there was no apointment until the 12th. They double booked me again! Sorry. That's a 1 out of 5 star in my book.

They give good treatment and they are very nice plus the nurse's are very good and nice to they help you with any questions you may have concerning medical and they have very good van patient pick up drivers who is also nice and very good drivers. Positive experience: I had an Accident in February, and was referred to The Center For Joint & Spine Relief. I started to go there with the driver that work there name Alex and Phong. And and I met the ladies that work there Vicky & Betty. Very polite ladies and gentlemen. They do their job very well. Then I met Dr Shawn McKay D.C., Dr Serge Menkin M.D. and Dr Lawrence Petracco, D.C. I was so please to met them all, cause I was recommended to them from someone who went there. My friend Ruben said they are very good and they take care of you. Since I been coming here with the help of my Physical Therapist Boskey who I met when I started my therapy. I have gotten a little much better. The pain is still there but thanks to the joint & spine center they have made the pain alot more manageable. And it has help me to heal every time I go there. With the massage, the heated towel and the exercises I am able to walk with the cane a little better and my neck and back is healing one day at a time.. I am so happy to be coming here cause this is what I need to able to heal.. I will suggest who ever need a Interventional Pain Management, Physical Therapy, Chiropractice & Acupuncture Doctor this is the place to come and go to. The Center For Joint & Spine Relief. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend The Center for Joint and Spine relief. They are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, well trained, accommodating, and highly recommended. Dr. MCkay is a wonderful doctor and healer. He is highly knowledgeable and is the best chiropractor I've ever had. His adjustments always leave me with a sense of relief and reduction in pain. The acupuncturist is also fantastic and has also helped alleviate a lot of my physical pain. She is well trained and knowledgeable. Betty is absolutely fantastic in every way and is always courteous, kind, and very helpful. I would highly recommend The Center for Joint and Spine Relief and have sent friends here in the past for both chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture treatment.

Fantastic experience: The Center for Spine and Joint Relief has been my primary place for chiropractic care for 13 years. The chiropractors here have been taking care of my spine and neck as I have been a sufferer of chronic pain. Dr. Petracco and Dr. McKay are the best! They’re also the nicest people.Their technique in adjusting the spine is superb and every time I left this office after getting adjusted I felt awesome. You hardly have to wait to be seen and getting an appointment is simple and stress free. I’ve also been seen for acupuncture, massage, and physical therapy and all therapies are amazing. I highly recommend The Center for Joint and Spine Relief. This place has been a huge life saver and blessing to me over the years. I actually give it 10 stars!!
