Our highly skilled staff are knowledgeable in the most recent advances in rehabilitative medicine to help restore self-esteem, respect, and a sense of pride. Our therapists and staff understand that recovering from treatments can be both physically and mentally challenging. That is why we have developed an extensive rehabilitation program to help you reach your goals and return home safely and promptly. Here are some personalized treatment plans:

Stroke is the leading cause of disability among adults in the United States. Sadly, four million people who have had a stroke are unable to return to their previous level of independence and mobility. Fortunately, recent research has developed medical treatments and rehabilitation techniques that enable a faster and more complete recovery from a stroke.

Electrical Stimulation is the application of electrical pulses in a controlled and comfortable manner to patients in order to improve or restore their strength and mobility.

Ultrasound and Electromagnetic Energy can be used to provide a calming and relaxing effect on stiff joints, using high-frequency energy created from sound and electro-magnetic waves.

Speech Language Pathology is not only about helping people regain their ability to speak and communicate, but also teaching stroke patients how to swallow again so they can enjoy the taste and pleasure of eating real food. Speech Therapists also work on cognitive activities to help patients organize their thoughts, recall words, and express ideas.

Our programs utilize advanced techniques that reduce pain and swelling while increasing strength and mobility to help patients return to an active lifestyle.

Infrared Therapy uses high frequency sound waves combined with infrared light to reduce pain in sore joints and muscles while recovering from surgery.

By combining slow, gentle stretches and strengthening exercises with the application of electrical pulses in a controlled and comfortable manner, it is possible to help restore muscle strength and movement.

Physical and Occupational Therapists work with patients on an individual basis to help them improve their ability to stand, balance, walk, climb stairs, be aware of their environment, and perform everyday tasks that are usually taken for granted.

More than five million Americans suffer from Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). This is a major cause of hospitalization and death among people aged 65 and over. People affected by CHF may experience shortness of breath, fatigue, swelling in the feet, ankles or legs, weight gain due to fluid retention, confusion or anxiety.

Electricity can be used to stimulate the arms, legs, and body, which can help to increase circulation, blood flow, strength, and movement, even in people who have been weakened by congestive heart failure.

Omni-Cycle, a motorized rehabilitation system, is designed to provide physical exercise to the upper and lower body, even when a person is too tired or weak to do so.

Spring Creek believes that education is essential for managing CHF effectively. Patient and family care planning and instruction begin immediately. Taking care of your diet and weight, as well as monitoring vital signs, is of utmost importance. Any changes in your symptoms are addressed before they can cause further problems. Vital signs are monitored before and during your therapy exercises. Your recovery starts with low-impact activities, which then gradually become more intense.

Positive experience: Since being here for awhile, I am very greatful for the questions, answers and the care that I am getting. I’m not afraid to ask anything and if staff can’t answer, someone will. Very friendly staff and residents. Would recommend Spring Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to anyone.

Negative experience: My dad got a bed sore that’s 9 1/2 inches.Had it for 2 months. He got sepsis. This made his immune system weak. The Dr. said to call hospice’s nothing else to do. Let him pass away. Give him pain medication so he doesn’t feel pain. He went in there a year ago.Because he has dementia. Now he’s going to pass away because of a severe bed sore. Not because of his dementia.

Fantastic experience: Spring Creek is a very nice nursing and rehab facility. All the staff, from administration thru nursing and patient care staff thru housekeeping - everyone was friendly and helpful, and attentive to the needs of the residents and the family. If you've a need, this is the place to choose.

Fantastic experience: well, i dont know about the healthcare industry in general. but i have had a couple relatives in nursing homes. one in joliet was good on hammes ave. one on larkin was terrible. i can honestly say that spring creek is clean. the staff is nice. and they are doing a lot of renovation. i mean the rooms are custom built and gorgeous. the director is this nice lady tasha, who i found out is also a nurse. how good is that. i would say they care, and listen. and have a beautiful place. i suggest going inside to actually see the place for yourself. absolutely a great place! its almost comfortable like they are family or something

Negative experience: AVOID!! Terrible treatment of elderly patients. I was hounded to sign over my father's house even though he had insurance to cover his stay. The "social worker" was either calling me multiple times a day and as soon as I was ready to check him out, she was completely unavailable. They only have a landline and ancient cordless phone if you want to speak to your elderly family member. The social worker was also verbally abusive to of my elderly father as well as his in home caretaker. They also REFUSED to speak with his comprehensive insurance. Disgusting! I also witnessed several of the staff leaving after their shift in tears, ugly crying, over their treatment, as well as how the facility treated their patients. If you hate your family member and want them to get fleeced for every red cent, send them here!

Negative experience: This has to be the most disgusting nursing facility in Joliet, food is left in the dining area often that leads to flies all over the place. Be careful when you ask for water because that room is filled with trash, feces, and everything in between.

Fantastic experience: Great place. Very clean, helpful friendly staff. The location is convenient. My mom needed a place to get rehabilitation after some medical issues. The competent care and therapy has done wonders for my mom. It has been easy to communicate with the facility and all of my questions and concerns have been promptly addressed. Very happy I chose this place for my mom. If needed in the future, this will be my first choice. Truly grateful for the staff at Spring Creek.

Negative experience: DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS PLACE. My mother is traumatized from staying here only for a few weeks. She told me that they treat their patients horribly, especially the older ones. They do NOT care about the comfort of their patients. They didn’t even give her any of her diabetes medication until she was there for 5 days. The nurses are extremely rude. This place should be shut down.

Fantastic experience: Facility met my needs, clean, staff very refreshing, very responsive, and even when short staff they provided the care needed. They catered to prioritizing and addressed needs on an individual basis. Would highly recommend to you or a loved one if you are in need of care.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy being at Spring Creek. The staff treat me with respect. Jennifer my aide is excellent and takes great care of me. Josie and Yvette, my nurses do a great job and are kind. The Food Service Director knows I love coffee and always has a hot cup ready for me. The Administrator and Director of Nursing take good care of their residents and I like then very much. I get to socialize and exercise and Vanessa the activity aide is so sweet. This is a really nice place.

Negative experience: This place is awful. My grandfather was here for almost two years. Unfortunately, he died here. The treatment I received from the administrator of the nursing home was terrible. She could never remember my name. Always referred to my grandfather as my father. No one ever took the time to go over any admissions paperwork with me the day my grandfather was admitted to explain any procedures, his plan of care, nothing. I never once met the doctor that was treating him either. I will say that the nurses and techs that I met while he was there were very sweet and caring and he always spoke very nicely about them. His personal items were constantly missing from his room as were his clothes. No one seemed to care. The day he died, I came to pick up his personal effects. I called ahead and told them I would be coming to get them. The two nurses or techs literally brought his clothes and personal items down in two clear garbage bags and dumped them at my feet in the lobby and walked away. Really? This is how you treat the family of the recently deceased? At first my grandfather was a private pay patient and then went on Medicaid. After being deceased for over six months now, I still receive bills from this place (which I'm not responsible for) and just recently a call from a law office because Spring Creek placed the account in collections. That's how ruthless they are. They placed the account of a deceased Medicaid patient in collections with a law firm. Let me tell you, if my grandfather had any money, he would not have been in this hell hole!!! This was an absolute last resort. Also, the website for this place is complete joke. The place does not look anything like what the website shows. The picture of the room on the website is completely fictitious. NONE of the patient rooms look like that. The rooms are two twin beds crammed in to a tiny room and you can barely fit another person in the room. It's ridiculous. All the programs and care that the website says they have is completely made up too. I'd like to know where all that stuff was while my grandfather was there or maybe that's just for patients with good insurance. All I have to say is do your homework and if you do find that you have to put your loved one in this place....... watch them like a hawk and ask A LOT of questions.
