Fantastic experience: The therapist are great, very knowledgeable and give the necessary one-on-one treatment with their clients. They also seem very flexible with scheduling appointments.

Fantastic experience: Needed a physical therapist due to extreme back pain. I found Kelly at Athletico, she had me out of pain and being able to walk again for quickly. Educated me on exercises to do on my own to keep up with treatment at home. John is always there to evaluate me and assist as needed.

Fantastic experience: The office staff and physical therapists are professional, kind, and effective. They not only helped me to get back to myself in a short amount of time but they also gave me the tools and knowledge needed to prevent further injury after I was released from weekly appointments. I would highly recommend- especially working with John.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at the Lockport Athletico since November 2023. What started as pre-knee replacement strengthening lasted almost a year with pt for the other knee after arthroscopic surgery and now pre-knee replacement strengthening. I’m so thankful that my daughter referred me to Kelly Shaw! She is a fantastic PT and understands all my quirks and goes with the flow!! I’d give her 10 stars if I could!!

Fantastic experience: I had great results with Athletico in Lockport, Il! I had torn my meniscus requiring surgery. I started physical therapy to improve my stability and strength in my knee. Kelly Shaw performed the initial assessment and a handful of therapy sessions. She is a great therapist! John Bakouris performed 99% of my therapy and my final assessment. He is also a great therapist! He kept me on task with my work at Athletico as well as home exercises while I was on vacation. Great people, and good to work with!

Fantastic experience: I ruptured a tendon in my arm and surgery originally seemed to me to be the best option to alleviate the pain and restore the strength in my arm. However, as with most surgeries, a good outcome could not be guaranteed and the surgery recovery process was estimated to be 3 to 5 months. My doctor, the team orthopedic surgeon for the White Sox and Bulls, suggested that I get physical therapy before deciding whether to have surgery and that Athletico had worked with some of his prior patients on their road to recovery. I had previously used Athletico in Lemont for physical therapy after surgery to repair a torn tendon in my foot, and my physical therapist in Lemont, Nathan, did an outstanding job in eliminating my pain, and increasing my strength, range of motion and mobility. Since my prior experience with Athletico was great, I decided to use Athletico again, but chose the Athletico in Lockport, since it was much closer to my home than the Athletico in Lemont. My physical therapist in Lockport was Katie Bria, who did the initial evaluation and created a treatment plan. Katie is pleasant, smart, personable, knowledgeable and professional, and patiently and impressively answered all of my questions about my injury, the treatment plan and the recovery process. Katie initially took a cautious and conservative approach to treat my injury and my arm responded well. The bruising and pain disappeared quickly, my strength increased immediately and there were no range of motion issues. As my arm healed, Katie increased the workload to a much more challenging level so that I'd reach maximum medical improvement. John filled in for Katie twice, doing a great job, and my treatment never missed a beat. Katie also was flexible in scheduling my appointments, and at my request called me to give me additional appointments when there were cancellations. Not only did Katie do a fabulous job helping me rehab my arm, but I was impressed with the work ethic, dedication, care, empathy, compassion, concern and friendliness of the entire staff at the Lockport Athletico, including not only Katie, but her fellow physical therapists John and Kelly, office staff Kylie and Danielle, and interns Brianna, Ashley and Lauren. Thanks to Katie and Athletico Lockport, my arm recovered well and I was able to avoid surgery. I highly recommend Athletico Lockport and Athletico Lemont for anyone needing physical therapy/rehab.

Fantastic experience: Started therapy 2nd week of July and finished ..on Sept 9th, I would not be where I am without out John Bakouris and his crew, Kelly and Katie.I worked mostly with John, he pushed me out of my comfort zone,and I will always be grateful for his knowledge and professionalism.I had a knee replacement,came in walking with a walker and of coarse leaving walking on my own.It was a tough road at times but every day I got better.I would like to have stayed longer,but medicare only allows so much time,John made sure I was ready to fly,and provided me with tools to continue at home.Ive been to two other therapy places, and this is by far the best place Ive ever been,If you ever need therapy this would be the place to go for all your needs.Thanks again to John& his crew, wouldnt have it made it without you. If I ever need therapy again this is the only place I would go!

From the beginning, he made sure to clearly communicate what to expect throughout the healing process, which really helped ease my concerns about the days ahead. His knowledge and expertise are evident, and he knows exactly how to tailor exercises to both challenge and support you. Fantastic experience: I had Kelly as an PT and I couldn’t be anymore grateful to have been able to work with her. She always made sure I saw the progress I was making, which was extremely helpful. Fantastic experience: very accommodating, easy to make an appointment. John has an excellent technique of treating my sciatica with pressure thumb technique, he even treated my popliteal pain that I thought was my arthritis but actually a tight small muscle. Katie is very sweet & nice.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Athletico in Lockport IL for many years due to spinal issues and John has been my main physical therapist. He most recently treated me for lower back pain, neck pain, and therapy for a sprained ankle. I cannot express my gratitude enough for what John has done to relieve my pain. He always accommodated my work schedule and followed up with me on how well the current treatment was working. If you’re looking for a therapist that has your best interest in mind, then John is the person you need!

Despite doing the exercises at home for the most part suffered with the same pain and ended up being frustrated due to limited movement. Fantastic experience: The team at this location are amazing! I need Physical Therapy after having a minor stroke and was in the hospital for a month. Kelly was my Physical Therapist and she worked with me to get me back up to snuff. When I first arrived at the facility I couldn't maintain my balance and I could barely get around on my own. After the initial assessment Kelly determined the best plan for me and we set to work. It took almost 8 months(I could only afford once a week visits) but the end of January came I was discharged. When I first arrived I weighed roughly 100lbs, couldnt walk more than 2 feet on my own, and had no muscle strength or resistance. After working with Kelly I gained 25lbs, can walk on my own, and have regained muscle mass. I am so grateful for the team here! I looked forward to my PT days because we always had fun. Thank you Lockport Team!

Fantastic experience: I was injured falling through my deck and was feeling pretty bad for myself. I had 2 surgeries on my leg and felt like I would be injured forever because I had so many challenges. (Dramatic, I know.) I attended physical therapy for 2 months to build strength and learn how to walk normally again. I finished up my sessions and was actually sad to stop. I would have kept going! What was so great about my experience? - easy scheduling accommodation with my work hours - friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff - motivation to do more and push myself physically after being injured - monitored progress and accountability - less pain (no more pain pills for me!) - personalized treatment plan - more strength & confidence - exercise plan to do at home I'm sure I'm forgetting some of the things that made my experience great, but this Lockport location really exceeded any expectations I had about going to physical therapy. Fantastic experience: I just want to start off by saying thank you to everyone who helped me overcome my injury. Everyone did such a good job on explaining to me what was going on with it and why it still hurt at the time. You guys always found a way to make me laugh or smile every time I went there. A lot of the times, I was really excited to go to pt just to have a good laugh. Honestly, I have no clue where I would be with my injury if it weren’t for you guys and all of your support and help. Fantastic experience: The therapists are great here. John is extremely knowledgeable and stringent on correct form when doing exercises. My shoulder pain has gone down considerably. My condition is so much better, thanks to John and Athletico! Now I have to continue to do my exercises at home on my own. This will be harder without John but he has documented everything for me. Fantastic experience: Kelly and Katie both took care of me and they were amazing! Katie was very gentle with me and Kelly brought so much laughter to each appointment. My whole time there was amazing and I looked forward to it. I came for a dislocated shoulder and not only did they help strengthen it but also helped my posture as well. The clinic was clean and clean everything after each patient. I changed jobs while I was there they were very helpful with it and patient with me. It was just a really positive experience.

I went for help with an injury that was plaguing me, it was affecting my favorite activities as well as some daily mobility. Appointments, assessment and care were all easy. With a combination of the right care from the staff here and some homework we got it all sorted out and I am happily back to all my previous activities that I enjoyed prior to my injury.

I came to Athletico for a shoulder injury and after working with John I am happy to report I am pain free and back doing many activities I love. Speaking of John, what a fantastic physical therapist he is! Throughout my sessions, he not only has a great sense of humor, but he is very knowledgeable. He really took the time to listen to my concerns and address them during each session. He provided the best care possible and I am experiencing the great results. Fantastic experience: Kelly Shaw has been the most wonderful physical therapist I ever had. I feel stronger, more confident, and daily tasks no longer cause pain. I never thought going to PT could be enjoyable, but her personality and knowledge made all the difference. Brianna Darlage made scheduling easy for me. She made multiple calls to my insurance and doctors office for me in order to get me in. Brianna did this because my primary Dr office did not help or write my orders properly. Fantastic experience: I am beyond pleased with my experience at Athletico! I wanted to go with a provider I'd used in that past that was closer to my home, but my doctor pushed me to use Athletico. Wow, am I glad I chose quality over convenience! My therapist, Kelly, is better than any therapist I've ever had in the past, and sadly, due to two major accidents I've spent months in therapy. No other therapist compares to Kelly. She is empathetic, yet challenging, kind, knowledgeable, articulate, and motivates me to want to push for results. Fantastic experience: Thank you Lockport Athletico team for getting Maggie back out on the volleyball court after her injury!! Everyone we interacted with was engaging, professional, respectful and 100% focused on her healing. Most of Maggie’s sessions were with John and he was great! We appreciated his athletic training background along with the PT program he put in place for her. We had a 30 minute drive to this location 3 days a week but didn’t hesitate…so worth it!

Fantastic experience: My mom went to Athletico for 22 weeks, and Kelly was her physical therapist. My mom’s hip somehow rotated backwards, which caused her feet to be uneven, so she walked with an limp. Kelly told her she could rotate it back, and the progress was incredible to watch. Kelly was absolutely amazing to her. She was ready for my mom every time she walked in and she gave my mom great care. We could go on and on about Kelly but we would be here all day. Thank you for helping my mom walk straight again!

Fantastic experience: When I first came to Athletico with tendinitis in my elbow, I had little hope that my elbow would ever function normally or be pain-free again. I met with Katie and she was extremely attentive, listened to me and talked through treatment options to get me back to normal. I wound up seeing Katie 2-3x a week for two months and can now say that I’m completely pain-free! I was actually kinda bummed that I’d fully healed so quickly because Katie had become a friend to me. Truly cannot recommend Katie and the team at Athletico enough!

Fantastic experience: Our daughter had surgery on her leg in early February. The surgeon referred her to therapy as she was unable to bend her knee. We chose Athletico in Lockport based upon reviews and location. Not knowing what to expect, we were immediately brought into a relaxed, caring environment. Kelly was her therapist and was excellent at making therapy enjoyable as well as beneficial. Our daughter looked forward to every session. It has been 6 weeks now and our daughter can completely move her leg, bend her knee, run and jump like surgery never happened. That is why we highly recommend Athletico Lockport. It is a clean facility with an excellent staff that knows exactly what to do to make you feel better.

Initially after my injury, I called around looking to schedule my PT sessions and the earliest anyone could see me was a month!! Athletico in Lockport got me in the next day. They’re very engaged at each session and take their work very seriously. They’re extremely flexible with scheduling your next appt and if you have any questions relating to insurance coverage or charges they’re helpful in breaking down the process to make you feel at ease. Without hesitation I would recommend this location.

Fantastic experience: Kaitlyn at Athletico - Lockport was my Therapist. She did an amazing job with me. When I came there 12 weeks ago I had Spinal Stenosis and Arthritis in my back. I could barely stand or walk. The pain in my back, legs and hips was intense. When I finished my sessions I now can stand, sit, and walk without pain. I am back to a normal life. Thank You Katie! You truly were awesome. The Manager John and Bre the receptionist were both very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Athletico in Lockport.

Fantastic experience: This place is wonderful! The staff is excellent and knowledgeable. Kelly was my therapist and she is fantastic, polite, caring and focused on me getting stronger and more confident after my back surgery. Kelly has a great personality and made coming to therapy enjoyable.

She explained what was expected during the rehabilitation process, and demonstrated each exercise that was incorporated in my therapy. The staff was so friendly and guided me through the process and was flexible with any rescheduling I needed. The PTs Kelly and John provided outstanding care and helped me get back to playing sports and working out. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had a shoulder injury last February (2022) which left me with a frozen shoulder; an injury that heals slowly. I was having pain and had lost a lot of range of motion. I went to Athletico in Lockport and John was my Physical Therapist. I can't express how wonderful my experience was. Everyone at this facility was really great to work with. John is an extremely knowledgeable therapist, I couldn't have been in better hands He was so thorough and listened to my concerns, he always had an answer. Going to therapy had become like a second home to me. I remember in the beginning trying to stay optimistic as I was really concerned I wouldn't bounce back. I was in therapy for about 9 months and I cannot believe the progress my shoulder has made! Thank you John for everything you did to improve my mobility and for my home exercises you provided. On a few occasions, I also worked with PT Katie and Kelly and never had an unpleasant experience! It was a fun and professional environment. The music was a PLUS I went to therapy 2-3x/week and finding time slots in my schedule was never an issue. Thank you Bri for your patience in scheduling my visits Should I ever need therapy in the future, this is the only place I'd return to. I would highly recommend Lockport Athletico! Thank you all I already miss coming.

Negative experience: The worst therapy around! A small dirty room with 30 yr old outdated equipment. The therapist are bad too. I left in a week it was so bad. I went to ati in Lockport and was really glad that I did. Better facilities and alot better therapists. Do not waste your time with Athletico!

Fantastic experience: There is absolutely nothing anyone can say negative about Athletico in Lockport. John and Kelly are fantastic, compassionate physical therapists who are dedicated to their clients and their well-being. They both take time to explain the process and do not make you feel like you are bothering them when they ask questions about rehab. If you have ever thought about going to physical therapy, do not hesitate to go to this location.

Fantastic experience: I was in a car accident and had some shoulder issues. I went to Athletico for some physical therapy. I had a fantastic experience as I was treated with care, the receptionist, Bre, worked with my schedule making my health and care was the first priority. Kelly was my therapist who worked my muscles to wellness. She made the theory fun but very meaningful for my wellness. After 9 weeks I have totally recovered with some exercises to continue to at home. John manages the facility professionally yet the atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming. I strongly recommend them. Fantastic experience: 10/10 Had a great experience at Athletico Lockport. I worked primarily with Kelly and on occasion John. Both are extremely knowledgeable and masters at their craft. Very happy to say that because of them I have no more back pain. I highly recommend this branch. Don’t hesitate to go in and see them.

Fantastic experience: I have had a extensive experience with outpatient facilities and feel this is one of the best. I found this facility to be a very comfortable environment. The staff had great rapport with the clients. Their treatment model was very personal. The PT provided direct treatment with each client. Their treatment addressed targeted areas but they also offered suggestions of additional techniques to support needs of the entire body. They clearly explained all exercises and the rationale behind them as well as provided directions with pictures to perform them at home. They were very accommodating with their scheduling and provided frequent appointment reminders. I was VERY PLEASED with Athletico and will recommend to others.
