She always has a smile on her face when we come in which sets a great tone. Waleed has been absolutely amazing to work with. My son has been in and out of PT for the last 4-5 years with complex pain and problems due to EDS and injuries that no other PT’s have been able to calm down or help. With the very first visit Waleed was able to calm his pain down and could see a path moving forward. Both Waleed and Alaina have already changed our lives and given us hope. I cannot adequately expressed with words how grateful I am to Alena, Waleed, and the entire team. If you are looking for a physical therapist, that is skilled and knowledgeable I would absolutely come here. Unfortunately they are not covered by our insurance but I am so glad we decided to come anyway. It’s 100% worth it. If by change they are not covered for you, come anyway! They are not the same as every other PT. This is truly life changing for him. He has hope, pain reduction for the first time in years, and I can see how this is changing his outlook on his future. They truly are gifted at what they do.

Fantastic experience: Cannot say enough good things. 1st visit was for a dizziness issue and that was corrected . We also looked at issues with balance and got an awesome education there with many good suggestions that you (CANNOT) get on YouTube. There is also a great family atmosphere with the staff.

Fantastic experience: Went here for their shoulder pain workshop and loved it so decided to take them up on their free 20 min session for a more in depth evaluation. Dr. Marino was very knowledgeable and friendly during the workshop. It was very helpful in helping me understand more of how my shoulder works and where the pain was coming from. Dr. Dziendziel was the one that assessed me personally at the session a few days later. She was also very knowledgeable and friendly during it. She took me through several motions and procedures to pin point exactly where my pain is coming from. Also explained to me the area that I had injured and was causing me pain. I decided to book an appointment for a evaluation where she would go more in depth and help me create a plan of exercises to heal and strengthen my shoulder since she was so helpful with just the free 20 min session.

My niece, John’s daughter and a healthcare worker, researched this area for the best PT for John. Marino’s was and is the clear choice with therapists heavily certified for Parkinson’s. Courtney, the receptionist will always greet you with a smile and assist you with scheduling your appointments. I have had the good fortune of being assigned to Taylor as my therapist. He is incredibly knowledgeable as a physiotherapist, listens well and makes each session interesting. Your first session is a complete analysis of your condition and setting up the best program for your personal needs. At Marino PT they actually spend the entire 40 minutes working with you and that is the difference between them and other facilities.

Fantastic experience: I am currently receiving physical therapy from Waleed Salah, Physical Therapist, PT, DPT, COMT for a couple of conditions. I have seen great improvement in the period of time we have been working together. He is very accommodating and excellent at explaining what activity we are doing and how it will be beneficial. He has a great personality which helps the time go by quickly. I highly recommend his services. The one on one services is great. I have been to other PT centers were one therapist is trying to work with two to three people at once, that is not the case at this Center. Courtney at the front desk is great. Fantastic experience: Highly Recommend Marino Physiotherapy and Taylor! For months, I struggled with persistent back pain that another PT place in town just couldn't seem to resolve, even after a lot of sessions. My orthopedic doctor was even suggesting that it might be something I'd have to manage with periodic shots and that it couldn't be fully fixed. Then I found Marino Physiotherapy and started seeing Taylor – and what a difference! Taylor diagnosed my issue accurately and, within a very short amount of time, helped me get rid of the pain that had been plaguing me for so long. What I especially appreciate is that Taylor didn't just focus on temporary relief but also recommended exercises to address the root causes of the problem. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Alaina is very thorough in her examination & evaluation of what physical therapy needs your particular issues may present. On my case, I could feel immediate improvement with the first visit. I felt like there was light at the end of the tunnel (that my injury could recover) for the first time since the accident and injury happened two years ago. Update: My injury has improved volumes. There are times when it feels totally normal now, and my joint function, flexibility, and strength are greatly improved. Alaina and the entire team are terrific. Caring, compassionate, and professional in every way. This is hands down the best therapy in Knoxville for sure ! New update: Alaina has listened carefully to my reports of disfunction and discomfort. She does not brush off symptoms. She has identified that 2 & 1/2 years ago when I broke my wrist, not only did I have a fractured radius that required surgery and hardware, but I also had a Ulnar Transposition/Abducted Ulna that was completely missed by TOA. TOA not only failed to identify why I was having the problem, but 21 months after the original surgery, they decided that I needed Carpal, GUYON'S (ulnar) and Cubital tunnel surgery. This was done, but did not correct the symptoms and they were not corrected until Alaina finally rooted out the origin of the problem, which was the Abducted ulna. If you want top notch care that actually corrects physical issues, Marino Physiotherapy is you best option in Knoxville. 10 stars in my book !

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a depressing number of ankle/foot injuries in my life and, as such, I’ve done a remarkable amount of physical therapy. The team at Marino is truly incredible. Danny and Elizabeth put together and implemented a plan that started in the pool, which allowed me to slowly rebuild my stamina and confidence. Confidence here was very important, because I came to them in really poor shape and I’d been hurt for a long time. At the same, I still have an ego and being weak is humbling. The pool could let me make progress, at my speed. Once I’d graduated to land-based therapy we were focused on concrete goals that mapped to activities I needed to be able to do. I found that incredibly valuable and it made seeing my progress so tangible! I’m some weeks after my treatment plan completed, which included very clear at-home exercises aimed at continuing my progress. On my walk yesterday I had a moment where I felt like my younger, stronger, pre-injury self. It didn’t last but just a few beautiful moments, but this is a feeling I had entirely given up on ever having again when i last got hurt. Now that I know it’s possible, who knows what I can achieve? That’s pretty cool. The Marino team is a family and you can’t help but feel it. During my time there, I got to know pretty much everyone and their warm and funny personalities make you feel like you are watching a great ensemble comedy like, “Friends”. I genuinely appreciate the team for helping me and highly recommend them to you.

Fantastic experience: I have had two different injuries that I have needed physical therapy for. Every therapist I have worked with has been wonderful. Most recently I worked with Waleed and his intern Kyle. They worked very well together and really pushed each other to come up with great exercises. Waleed is already doing great things here, but Kyle definitely has a bright future. By the end of his time at this clinic, he did much of my therapy and watched me while I was doing my exercises. He had a great combination of encouragement and pushing me. He has a great future ahead of him. I feel very fortunate to have worked with both Waleed and Kyle this time around. In the past I have also worked with Danny, Ashley, and Elizabeth. They were amazing as well. From top to bottom, Marino Physiotherapy is 5 star!!

I have seen so many "specialists", 4 prior physical therapists and Dr. Marino, and staff, bring more to the table than all of them combined. Fantastic experience: 10/10 experience! Everyone at my gym knows that Marino Physiotherapy is the only place to go to rehab from an injury. I went to see Taylor for severe knee pain. He had me competing in a competition at my local gym in 14 days! Everyone at this clinic is amazing. Taylor was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. I felt like all of the therapists were invested in my recovery and progress. They wanted me to heal and get better. Such an uplifting environment with top notch providers.

Marino Physiotherapy is definitely the most effective physical therapy office in the Knoxville area—by FAR! Just read a few reviews and you’ll see. They are DIFFERENT than ALL other PT clinics—you are tended to by Dr’s… Specialists… Physiotherapy experts who have studied body mechanics for MANY years and KNOW exactly how to treat body issues and pain. Plus, you receive individual attention and don’t have to sit and wait for your therapist to come back every 10 minutes (like the local orthopedic offices) it’s one-on-one at Marino! Honestly, they’re like body guru’s, and they can figure out ANY problem related to body mechanics. Dr. Alaina and Dr. Dan helped me heal my torn rotator cuff, which my expert surgeon said “definitely must be repaired surgically” — nope!! Wrong!! It healed perfectly with very specific, gentle, exercises given to me to repeat daily, and that was three years ago! I have also seen Marino for my back and hip. I have 100% faith in Dr. Alaina Marino and the expert team she has gathered together at the clinic. In fact, I never knew that there were such diverse means for PT, but Dr. Waleed knows them all plus he is very good at judging when & what to use to "help me on my way!" I also have referred several friends to this excellent physical therapy center. The director Alaina Marino provides passionate leadership over her staff of very competent physical therapists. Alaina also possesses and shares a broad base of knowledge for all kinds of medical issues patients may present. Her greatest gift is as a healer with the ability to diagnose the problem at its root cause, providing pain relief on site and at home regimens for the patient between visits. Her staff is knowledgeable, friendly and above all encouraging. I will continue to refer friends to Marino Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: Marino Physiotherapy is an exceptional organization independently owned and operated under the leadership of Alaina Marino. Unlike many physical therapy facilities which are operated under the auspices of an orthopedic medical group, Marino Physiotherapy does not require a medical “prescription” before they can help you. This flexibility allowed me to receive therapy more quicky but also for an independent appraisal of what my back/hip problem actually was. My most recent experience involved a trip to my orthopedic doctor for hip/upper leg pain, where I received a steroid shot in my hip which did nothing to relieve the pain. One day later, a session with Alaina brought immediate relief when she opened up the spaces between my lumbar vertebrae where I have some spinal stenosis. (It apparently was not a hip problem). Following her prescribed exercises, I am free of back/leg pain and know what to do if I should have any flare-up. Alaina’s training as a physiotherapist has allowed her to develop excellent diagnostic skills and her passion for helping people at all stages of life can easily be seen if you watch her interact with her patients.

They go above and beyond to treat your issues so you can feel better quickly. I have had issues with my neck, back and vertigo. Ashley and Alaina have both worked and collaborated to find the best possible solutions to help me. I have had success since I've been going to this clinic (unlike the others I've been to) and it will be the only place I will go for therapy when needed. I've never meet more caring people, the entire staff is just awesome!

Fantastic experience: The VA sent me for physical therapy and Marino Physiotherapy was literally 3 blocks from my house. The first set of visits I saw DANNY. I felt progress after each visit. ALL the staff was wonderful. I am currently going there again and Waleed is my therapist this time. Again - progress after each visit. Everyone takes the time to talk and explain what is going on. I appreciate that. I would HIGHLY recommend ANY of these fine therapists!!!

Fantastic experience: I love Marino Physiotherapy!! I am a returning patient and have not been disappointed in treatment for my knee, neck and currently for a nerve in my back that is inflamed, causing increased pain in my shoulder, elbow and arm. All the therapists are professional in their evaluation and treatment. They want you to feel and function the best that you can. I have always been treated with respect. This place is the very best for PT, They are like family!!
